I think I know how you feel , regarding MJ and lack of food and exhaustion.

my suppression has come back in force and I’m struggling to eat more than once a day.

i think getting out of good food routines has really set me back. It’s like when my body is regularly nourished i am more inclined to eat, but after a few weeks of survival I’ve lost my appetite again. I feel so tired a lot of the time.

im going to try really hard to get back into good food habits. Starting tomorrow. Today I ate 6 Quorn nuggets and a dairylea dipper …

Tomorrow !

The food suppression is weird. My work does lunches between 11 and 3. I get given the 2-3 as everyone else is starving.
🤣🤣
I eat normally lunch and dinner but rarely get over 850 calories. I take vitamins. I see over a 1000 calories as my goal but I don't get there very often.

Coventree · 09/08/2025 07:26

Cheeky check in to say I’ve moved from obese to overweight 🎉🎉🎉 (101 days today so me and you must have both started on Friday 25th April @slightlysmallerPoisonIvy!). Saw my work bestie for the first time in a few weeks and she nearly fell off her chair at my ‘glow up’ as she termed it 😁

No-one’s reported/had any problems switching provider once they’re under 30 bmi, have they? I tend to swap around each pen using monj.co.uk to check cheapest supplier so have to go through the verification process each time. Hopefully won’t be a problem as can prove I’ve had previous prescriptions.

Have a happy, healthy Saturday all!

@coventree
Congratulations.
It's such a great feeling.
You look amazing!

wlinewbie0425 · 09/08/2025 07:39

Congrats @Coventreethat’s a great milesone to achieve but even better the change in your face is amazing!

I’ve not had any problem yet - changed supplier twice in the overweight range so far. (To Chemist4u and Weprescribe) and it was fine with box label evidence and new photos - sticking it all out isn’t it funny doing pics like that would have horrified me a year ago😂 I know from a few people that tried recently that medexpress don’t accept anyone under 30 who hasn’t been with them before. And I think maybe Zava? Not certain about that but maybe someone else knows. There are still most options though. I think even under 25 there are so long as you have evidence of your journey.

Sorry to hear that lots of us are hitting the classic 3 month hair loss issue. I’m definitely noticing increased shedding too and my hair was always pretty thin to begin with so this is a fear of mine, but I’m trying not to overthink it. Been taking biotic, zinc and collagen since almost the start and protein rich diet, so I can’t do much more. Like @Ricolettisaid we know it’s temporary and it’s still better than having all that weight still on. Plus as @Coventreesays wigs appear to have really come on in quality and down in price so there are back up options! I made the mistake of clicking on some I saw an MJ TikTok-er wearing and now get them pushed at me constantly! Very tempted to get one that looks similar to my own hair on a really good day, so if the thinning gets worse I could stick it on for work meetings (I’m mostly online so reckon I could get away with it). Anyone tried them?

Congrats on both your DC’s results @Coffeeandallthebooksthose years are now fast approaching for me too as a parent - totally worth the lb for your celebrations- it’ll go again soon. Hope that means an unconditional is on the cards for your DD so she, and you have less stress in S6!

wlinewbie0425 · 09/08/2025 08:05

Amazing loss @Merlin23and also congrats on the non-obese milestone 🥳 is glad you say it’s slowing slightly as 2lb a week supposed to be a ‘safer’ rate of loss. You must feel so much better with the changes in uniform size etc . What dose are you on? Only managing to get in 800-1000cals regularly is pretty low so I hope that improves a bit for you as if you can get more in you shouldn’t have to wait until January and stopping MJ to feel less tired. Regardless, I’m not meaning to be negative that’s a fabulous loss and well done!

NSV
Going to the football today. Put on my hoodie that I always wear. End of the season it was tight. Today it is very much a trendy oversized hoodie.

Coventree · 09/08/2025 08:06

Thanks both! And that’s good to know no problems re swapping suppliers.

Well hello cheekbones !!!

you look beautiful and so happy. Well done on the bracket shift, what an incredible achievement and so positive for your health xxx

SW 17.7
CW 14.12
WK 16 loss 2lb
Total loss 2st 9lb

another 2lb off this week - very happy with that!! And in a stone bracket I’ve not been in for years!!!
I’m now comfortably getting in trousers I couldn’t even get up my legs pre MJ -what a feeling!!! And clothes that were ‘snug’ are literally hanging off me and even my work trousers, that I only managed to get into a month ago, are getting baggy!!!
Feeling so much better/happier in myself!!!
Well done everyone on the losses and NSV’s this week!!
Have a fab week!!

Crunchymum · 09/08/2025 10:01

Blimey @Coventree what a difference, you were of course beautiful before but blooming Hell.

Glow up indeed.

Feeling quite hungry today, but it is jab day so it's kind of expected (also period should arrive within the week). We don't have much junk in and DC2 is poorly so I'll be able to resist any temptations as we're staying home today!

GoGoGovy · 09/08/2025 10:29

You look like a different woman, @Coventree Well done!

A pathetic 0.6 lb loss this week. My weight has yo-yo’d up and down all week. I don’t how it can be so low as I’m eating under 1200 cals per day and often around 800.
On a more positive note, I’ve just been trying on bikinis for my holiday. They look ok. Not Kate Moss ok, but not bad for a short, middle aged woman.
I think the gym work and toning classes have made as much difference as the weight loss, so will definitely keep that up when I stop taking the drugs.
I now have two pens in the fridge and although I’m still about 10lbs off target, I may start titrating down when I’m back from my hols. Want to be totally finished by Christmas.

PumpKim · 09/08/2025 11:11

Just catching up with everyone. Well done on all the losses and NSVs. My first 7.5mg this week, doesn't feel much different to the 5mg so far tbh. Losses have been slow 🐌 under 1lb regularly which is frustrating but losing every week consistently which I've never managed before.
Hearing about hair loss worries me, I've always had lots of hair and it's thick, and I shed a lot anyway (always blocking the shower drain 🙈🤣) but I would be devastated if it started getting noticeably thin 😬

Negative effect for me is I seem to be going off loads of foods, and I can see myself transitioning into a very bland diet, and that has never been me!

Megsdaughter · 09/08/2025 12:26

Went up to 7.5, but haven't lost anything, if anything put on a pound then lost it again and then put it back on again.
Counting my calories and staying under 1200, which is where I'm suppose to be so don't know what's happening. Getting quite disillusioned.

I lost 2.5st quickly until I went up to 5mg. When it dropped down to losing 1lb a week and feeling awful. Dropped back down to 3.5 for a week. Nausea went and went back up to 5mg. Didn't loose anything in these 3 weeks

Had no suppression and food noise was back to after two weeks went up to 7.5. Not a lot of suppression and a lot of food noise.

Not sure I will keep on if I don't loose anymore.

from what you’ve said here you have lost well over 2.5stone since late April? That’s a brilliant loss and must be at the top end of recommended rate that is healthy to lose over 15-16 weeks, so even though it might feel slow as your weight loss was front loaded then slower with plateaus it’s still been very successful overall. Hope you can see it in perspective, it’s easy to get disheartened when in a (seemingly) neverending plateau but in a previous diet this would be where we start piling it back on so staying the same is really a win until the downward trend is ready to continue. Have you done measurements or a methreesixty scan recently or tried on some old clothes looked at old comparison pics? That helped me when the scales were not.

I’ve read and seen videos of people who say they rarely have suppression, but what they do get, and is actually more important, is satiety and not eating as much when they start, Do you still have that?

Zebracat · 09/08/2025 13:21

Hi everyone 90.8 today so a loss of 0.3 kilo. Ok except every day this week I’ve been around 90 and I was really hopeful I might drop to 89 something. Never mind. 7.5 is working for me. But I just ate an iced lemon bun and it was such a bad idea. I knew after 1 bite but I couldn’t believe I wasn’t loving it so I carried on. What an idiot. I may never eat again.

Coventree · 09/08/2025 15:16

Great answer @wlinewbie0425. Hope it helps to see the big picture @Megsdaughter

Keep us posted on the 10mg @Crunchymum, got my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Love that you kept eating it @Zebracat just to prove you didn’t like/want/need it 😁

And thank you for all the lovely comments - feeling the love 🥰

SweetChilliGirl · 09/08/2025 16:02

Well, I'm astounded, but I seem to have lost 3 pounds in the two and a half weeks I've been on holiday in France! I took my pen and jabbed as usual (stuck at 3.5mg) but was expecting to maintain, at best.

I was careful while I was away, and stuck to fruit and Greek yoghurt for breakfast (swerved the croissants) but ate out and ate far more bread and cheese and drank more wine than usual.

I feel tired and flabby and weak though. I've walked a fair bit but have also rolled around a lot so need to get back to some exercise!

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 09/08/2025 18:31

It was temporary in that it stopped, but it didn't fully grow back. I have fairly thick hair and my hair line suffered the most so it's only really when I tie my hair back that it's noticeable.
I'm a bit concerned that as I'm starting with less volume this time it'll be worse and the amount I'm losing has been quite shocking for the last week, it's much more than previous times.
I had hoped that as I am not restricting calories it wouldn't happen this time. For previous weight loss attempts I restricted to very low calories but I haven't done that this time. I'm not chasing total suppression, for the first two weeks on mj I was a bit low but since then I'm eating 1200-1500 (depends on exercise and time of the month, I need more calories just before and during my period) and around 125g protein per day. I'm taking collagen and biotin and iron and all the damn things so I figure there's not much else I can do other than stopping mounjaro and not losing any more weight and I don't want to do that!
I got it cut today, I needed a trim anyway so I chopped off a few inches, maybe as it's a bit lighter it'll help it not fall out so much. I know it doesn't work like that but I can hope!

@Coventree Wow what a difference, you look fab!!! That is a glow up!! Congrats on being overweight 🎉
I started May1st so I think you might be on day 107? Either way we've been on this journey for more than a hundred days which feels like a very long time

@wlinewbie0425 Those tiktok wigs have been tempting me too. I've now discovered hairline toppers too, hopefully we will never need them but it's good to know there are affordable options that don't look hideously fake

Great losses everyone!!
I did my 15th dose today and lost 1.4lbs this week, total loss 35.2lbs 😁

PeachSnail · 10/08/2025 08:42

Hi everyone 👋

Checking in after a 10 day holiday to Spain... I decided not to bring my pen away with me as we were staying in a shared villa with friends and I've decided to keep being on MJ to myself... I just didn't want the extra stress and hassle of dealing with it.

So I weighed and jabbed myself yesterday after a 12 day break...
Argh... Sadly not a tale of miraculously holding off weight gain... I put on 1.6kg!! 🫣 Lots of beer and cava consumed, together with Spanish tortilla, tapas and crisps... So I guess it was inevitable really. Oh well, I'll try to get back on track 🥺

...But we are going away for a week of camping + a music festival tomorrow so it's going to be very tough to eat healthily. I'm hoping the MJ will just help me to eat less than I would have done ordinarily.
Unsurprisingly, I won't be taking my pen camping either... So fingers crossed all the trudging around fields will help me burn off the calories instead!

I always knew this couple of weeks would be tricky so what will be will be. They are important occasions to enjoy being with friends and family so I just don't want to be too stressed and restrictive about things.

It's nice knowing that when I get back, the MJ will help me get back to healthy habits and consistent weight loss 💪

Thanks for sharing all your recent updates about how things are going - I've enjoyed keeping up to date with you all. Well done for all the losses and NSVs. And sorry to hear some of the tougher experiences with SEs ♥️

PumpKim · 10/08/2025 09:04

Official weigh in today. Average loss this week 1.7lb.
24.2lb lost altogether.
My actual weight today puts me in the next stone bracket down but my average is 0.3 of a pound over. That's the kicker with daily weighing 🤣 I feel pretty confident I will 'officially' celebrate that milestone next week and be securely in the 11s.

Two more weigh ins before my holiday, my interim goal was to lose 2 stone by then but realistically given my rate of loss I'm probably going to just miss that which is really annoying 😝

GoGoGovy · 10/08/2025 11:17

@PeachSnail 1.6Kgs isn’t bad. I’d be quite happy with that after a 10 day holiday.
@PumpKim just under 2 stone is still a big loss. 🎉

toobusytoclean · 10/08/2025 12:38

Advice please as Google not helping and am away on holiday.
Since my jab on Wednesday night I have had pain when swallowing not in my throat, but further down. I feel the need to sit up really straight to help the food pass what feels like an obstruction. Even drinking tea makes it hurt, but not fully chewing my food definitely makes it hurt.
I overate before jabbing and consumed a lot of alcohol ( as I said I’m on holiday)
Any ideas? Am terrified it’s gall bladder and will have to stop MJ
