Just taken my second dose of 2.5, did it a day earlier as monday works better for me. Pleased to say ive lost 6lbs which im super happy with.

I was really trying to minimise bruising this time (husband doesn’t know about all of this) except this time I removed the pen after injection and the needle was bent! Does anyone have any tips on technique? Does a cold compress afterwards minimise bruising?

@MissMogs, definitely order the 5mg. Have you had any SEs? If not, then you could go straight onto 5mg as lots and lots of people don’t feel anything until the 5mg dose because 2.5 is simply designed to get your body used to the medication. If you’re unsure or had SE then do 30 clicks for an extra 2.5 dose or do 45 clicks and get a 3.75 dose which is what lots of people do as they don’t want to jump from 2.5 all the way to 5. I’m getting good suppression but I’ve ordered the 5mg pen. There’s not a huge difference in price so I’m not going to look it as a waste. I will just continue on 2.5 (30 clicks) but if my suppression starts to wane mid month, I know I can move up to 3.75 or even 5mg!

Hello all. I've been reading along for a couple of weeks now and finally decided to say hello 👋. Im on W2D4 and had an email from Asda today saying I need to reorder, so I made a snap decision and decided to stay on 2.5 for next month. This is mainly because it does seem to be working at this dose - suppression is good and I lost 5lbs the first week 😊 But the SE are only just manageable. I've had quite a bit of nausea and am just SO tired. I really don't think I'd cope of the nausea got any worse, so hopefully i can keep losing on 2.5! Its hard to know after only a week and a half if you're going to want to go up or not. Anyone else already decided to stick at 2.5?

I'm going to try the 5mg next time but it's curiosity more than anything, I'm happy with my appetite and side effects (lack of both!) on 2.5mg. I need to lose a bit more so exercise is a little easier and less sweaty, then I think long term 2.5 with complete change of diet and increased exercise will be what shifts the bulk of the weight.

IF I manage the next injection without the side effects I had last night then and I decide to continue, I will definitely be staying at 2.5 for a while. Suppression is high for me and even if I only have small losses that’s fine as long as it’s consistent.

W4D1 for me - did the 4th jab last night.

Feeling good, no issues. No desire whatsoever to eat chocolate/sweets/crisps/cakes or drink alcohol.

Eating healthy food and if I need to eating something sub-optimal like pasta to fit in with family then I’m just having less.

In general eating low carb, high protein.

I’ve lost 1st 4lb in just over 3 weeks, so that’s a good start.

I have a 5mg pen already, which I ordered after week 2, when I felt hungry all week. Maybe if I’d waited until now I might have stuck on 2.5. There still looks more than a full dose left in the pen, so maybe I’ll be able to get 3.75mg dose out of that next week and see how that goes.

Can anyone explain the 3.75mg please?
I have a 2.5mg pen and i click till number 1 shows….do you click a little further for the 3.75 ?

I had my plumber come today for a boiler service.
I ask him how he had lost so much weight ( little too much i thought as he is tall)
Told me he had taken Mounjaro , hardly any side effects only some at i think he said 10mg.
He said its the best thing he has done and he has lost loads, but kept healthy eating and not had it for the last 6 months .
He says he still has a few sweets on Fridays only

W4D1 - just jabbed again. I've lost 4.6lbs in total in the last 3 weeks. But I can definitely see more definition in my waist and clothes are fitting easier.

I have decided to go up to 5mg on the next jab. I'm not getting any suppression by the end of day 5, and judging by this weekend's consumption, there's zero impact on my wine drinking... oops. But If I have managed to lose a bit and stay there, that's still better than yoyoing.

If you order a 5mg pen, but only do 45 clicks for the 3.75mg, will the pen allow you to inject using the pen after the 4th week, or do you have to buy the syringe and get the remainder out of the pen that way?

You take 3.75 from a 5mg or more pen. In theory you could take it from a 2.5mg pen but then the clicks would run out a week short.

A full dose of every pen is 60 clicks. So 30 clicks of a 5mg pen would give you half of a full dose (2.5mg). So, to obtain a 3.75mg dose from a 5mg pen, you turn 45 clicks. (It will be less clicks on a 10mg pen etc but you’re unlikely to have ordered that if you just want 3.75)

My understanding is yes because it’s not a 30 day cut off but rather an amount of clicks cut off. So it will allow 240 clicks (usually4 x 60 clicks) but in theory those 240 clicks could be from 5 x 45 clicks.

On one of the other threads from last year a couple of posters resorted to micro dosing as they were having SE. So, instead of injecting 2.5 once a week, they injected 1.25 twice weekly and that seemed to work for them. That might work better for you.

I've just took my first ever dose! I was absolutely terrified, it never hurt but I have really bad anxiety so panicking myself if any side effects but hoping ill be okay! So glad there's a thread for this:)

Does everyone stick to the same supplier ?
There seems to be a big increase in price from 2.5mg to 5mg.
I went with Voy as i havent got a doctor at all and cant get one as i am out of area…long story !
But its £199 for the 5mg pen which is a lot out my pension .

Lots of people seem to swap suppliers. And there are discount codes available which help.

I'm on W4D3 and I'm starting to worry my decision to stick with a 2.5mg pen might be a mistake! I've been so hungry today and thinking a lot about food! Having to use a lot of willpower! 🤦‍♀️

i went with medexpress due to the £40 off but will shop around for my second pen and will be getting the 5mg

I'm really hungry but just had my wk 5 dose, I really think it's because my period is due.

thanks so much to people who have replied to me! Just wondering, if I still don’t feel anything after jab 2, do you think I could order the 5 early and try it out before I go on holiday? Or is it important to complete the 4 weeks on 2.5?
