Morning all 😊

Wk2.

Next dose Friday which will be dose 3.

I've just weighed myself and have stayed the same 🫠

I normally weigh on a Saturday morning and I'm due my monthly.

Has anyone experienced a slow loss? X

I'm due as well and this has definitely affected my loss this week!

FoxRedPuppy · 19/06/2025 10:30

Slow loss is good, even if it’s not as exciting! I’m so impatient, but slow losses are more sustainable in the long term.

I'm due as well and this has definitely affected my loss this week!

I've definitely noticed my eating habits have changed so was intrigued to step on the scales.
Glad I'm not the only one 😌

PloopDeck · 19/06/2025 11:07

Third jab due later. I seem to be losing suppression in the middle of the 7 days and then right before jab time it kicks in again. Likely I’ll stay on 2.5 another month. Lost a fair bit in week one, but week two definitely settled down!

SW 22st 2lb
CW 21st 4lb
GW 18st 2lb (first stage)

W1 10lb loss
W2 2lb loss

RJmama · 19/06/2025 11:11

I’m W1D4 and have noticed a bit of suppression already: yesterday at both breakfast and lunch I struggled to finish my plate, and at breakfast this morning I only had half of the portion of overnight oats I’d made up.

The reduced appetite could also be because I still have some nausea occasionally, especially in the mornings? It’s like being pregnant again 😂It’s not constant but certain things, like particular smells or having something in my mouth, seem to bring it on. I’ve also been a bit headachey, but that could also be the heat (I’m in a part of the country that’s currently almost 30 degrees).

Roxietrees · 19/06/2025 11:33

Is anyone feeling just generally a bit shit on MJ? I’m W1D5 and clearly spoke to soon when I posted yesterday about having no side effects! I’ve woken up today and feel rubbish - like I’m hungover (but haven’t drunk for a week), no energy, body aches, just moving feels like a massive effort like I’m 90 years old! And feel a little sick. It’s all very mild but I just feel uncomfortable and achy and don’t feel like moving off the sofa (when I have a million things to do!)

RJmama · 19/06/2025 11:55

@Roxietrees that was me on Tuesday and yesterday; not so much with body aches but just generally meh. I forced myself to go to the gym yesterday morning and it did help.

I don’t think the heat helps.

Edited

I’ve noticed my sense of smell particular food smells has changed. It’s almost like pregnancy! And often causes nausea.

Wk1D1 finally starting this journey with the rest of you, so far not felt like breakfast but could be placebo effect, who cares though. (jabbed last night)

Exact same for me - jab last night and not felt hungry at all today. I'm going to try and eat a little something later but just drinking plenty of water atm.

Crossingeverything · 19/06/2025 13:54

@latetothepartyweightlossinjections it seems too good to be true that it’s working already doesn’t it, just had a small bowl of branflakes and feel full up

It’s interesting isn’t it!

Do people find that time of day for doing the injection makes a difference with side effects? I did the first one at lunchtime. Though didn’t really notice any side effects until the next day. For whatever reason I seem to feel the SE more in the morning.

FoxRedPuppy · 19/06/2025 14:41

I’m only week 1, and I injected around 2pm, because I’d just collected it and I have no ability to wait 😂.

i find that I get nausea when I get hungry. But so far that’s it.

NeedyTiger · 19/06/2025 14:50

Afternoon jabbers well it's jab day for me and after an overwhelming day yesterday and weighing too early I'm happy to say this morning I weighed when I should have and not before because that 2lb I put on has come back off and half a lb with it ! So jm back on track with the small and steady wins , hope everyone is doing well ❣️

Mynewusersame · 19/06/2025 15:22

Really enjoying reading everyone’s progress and welcome to new starters too!
2nd weigh in, and third jab for me tonight. I’m another 3 pounds down this week, so 10 pounds in total! Very pleased as this now makes me the weight I thought I was when I started 😂I do think I was carrying a lot of water weight/full boobs as I’d literally just stopped breastfeeding but happy either way.
Have just ordered 5mg pen but fairly certain I’ll continue with the 2.5mg dose and just make my pen last a bit longer.
I’m finding the whole thing very strange - I’m still ready for lunch and dinner everyday and thinking about what I’ll eat but have no interest in snacks etc so it really is just making “dieting” so easy! im conscious this feeling might not last forever though…

baggybags · 19/06/2025 15:34

My 2nd pen arrived today but the ice packs have melted & the box is soggy. Does that mean I can't use it?

Mynewusersame · 19/06/2025 15:40

@baggybags does the pen feel warm? I’ve seen this on a few other threads where they’ve pushed back to supplier and requested a new pen. (I hadn’t even thought about it just now when I reordered. Hope they don’t try to deliver mine over boiling weekend!)

baggybags · 19/06/2025 15:59

I put it straight in the fridge. It wasn't left outside. DH took the delivery and left in hall, I was in meetings and forget it was even coming.

Kat4dee · 19/06/2025 16:00

Hi 👋
new here. I am currently waiting for Asda to approve mounjaro. I’m feeling nervous I’m just classed as menopausal. 1 year… in the last year I have put on 2 stone.. I have tried everything, and the weight doesn’t come off.. I’m very active, I virtually starve myself. I’ve tried 16:8, nutriseed etc and basically 1kg loss.. I’m soo depressed. I feel flabby and horrible. The main issue is my bmi. I’m tall 5ft 10. Currently weigh 86 kg, bmi says 27.3. But I’m small boned so ideal weight is about 73kg.. my fat levels are 34% so I’m obese, but everything thing is classed on BMI.. I actually picked up a 5kg dumbbell when I took my scales photo and I hope the fat piccies work. Anyone else in the same situation? I’m trying to improve my health and weight. Thanks ☺️

Sideorderofchips · 19/06/2025 16:19

I'm back and alive!

Digestive system seems to have sorted itself out somewhat now. Just in time for ridiculous hot weather.

I'm keeping going reminding myself that this time next year I will not have extra blubber to keep the heat in

Midlifecrisis23 · 19/06/2025 16:24

@RJmama i finally get to experience normal pregnancy nausea! I had HG and felt awful when pregnant. I never understood how someone could feel sick and function….i get it now 😂😂

GiddyAmberQuail · 19/06/2025 16:31

1st jab done today, surprised how many turns were needed for 1 dose, panicked and thought I had injected the whole bloody thing 😅, I hadn't. Suffer with anaphylaxis but so far so good so always nervy taking a new med, made sure other half was here before I did it just in case.

Have bovine collagen, as friends on weightloss jabs reported hairloss, and flaxseed for fibre.

59, menopause at 30

5ft 1

SW 11.5 stone
GW 9 stone

F

scarediecat · 19/06/2025 17:35

What are everyone’s thoughts on taking collagen? I’ve done some research but there seems a lot of conflicting reviews.

scarediecat · 19/06/2025 17:36

W1D4 first hunger pangs but easily quashed with water. Feeling like I’ve achieved 🤣.

FirstDayonthePlanet · 19/06/2025 17:45

End of week check in: 2 weeks in, taking 3rd dose tonight.

week 1: 4lb (rounded)
week 2: 1lb (rounded)
so total loss of 5.1lb

not as much as some but since I’ve been losing and regaining the same 3lb since January I’m thrilled with 5lb in 2weeks.

5’3”, I’m eating 1273cals per day as per TDEE, finding that easy to stick to thanks to MJ. Don’t think it would be sensible to go lower and if even 1lb a week is going to be consistent, and the diet is this manageable, I’m very happy with that until goal.

Crinklecat · 19/06/2025 18:14

I’ve bought collagen, although I ordered marine and hear it’s bovine I need. Probably will forget to take it anyway
