Good to read about everyone's progress.

W2D6 for me and I have noticed by day 5 each week on 2.5mg, the sugar cravings return, though my appetite is still decreased overall. I will order 5mg and hope I can stay on that for the longer term.

Booklover2021 · 19/06/2025 18:22

Hi jabbers old and new!

W3 almost done, jab 4 tomorrow. Gonna wait until Saturday morning to officially weigh but I've already lost 10lbs. Weirdly suddenly constipated and the only change is I started electrolytes in the morning but I googled and it suggests they actually help! Period due so hoping my body is just having a bit of a PMT mare.

Weirdly since I've started the jab, no want for sugar or fatty foods but keep wanting olives 😂 I'll take that over a can of fat coke or bag of crisps I suppose!

Someone asked about collagen, I've found a multivitamin I take nightly that also has collagen in it. If interested I'll send the link x

FoxRedPuppy · 19/06/2025 18:40

What is collagen for? I’m rubbish at this stuff 😂

Xmasfairy86 · 19/06/2025 19:04

I’m curious to see the difference if I up to 5mg next month. Still undecided but probably need to make up my mind as I’m W3D5 now. 3.2kg down after 2 weeks so not as big a loss as some but steady. Might see how weigh in goes on Saturday and decide then.

scarediecat · 19/06/2025 19:07

Crinklecat · 19/06/2025 18:14

I’ve bought collagen, although I ordered marine and hear it’s bovine I need. Probably will forget to take it anyway

lol

Apparently helps with skin elasticity (I think!)

MontysMum909 · 19/06/2025 19:18

@kat4deeim in a similar position - I lost 3 stone on carnivore and intermittent fasting. It crept back on with Christmases, birthdays, holidays but even going back to that way of eating didn’t shift it. I eat like a bird but it makes no difference and it’s depressing - I started this injecton because I can’t carry on like that and see no improvement on the scales - it’s too hardcore for no reward.

Well now I am seeing a reward. There’s lots of chatter here about suppression- I could sort of do that with zero carb and fasting anyway - you learn to ride the wave of hunger but I honestly think mounjaros impact on your processing of food makes a huge difference. i didn’t have suppression wk 1 but I still lost weight

it’s a miracle for me

Hi
Just joined on here .
I have ordered through Voy and my pen should be here tomorrow…bit worried as its so hot here .
Planning on starting it Monday .
Only 5 ft tall but weigh about 13 stone .
I have no scales and refuse to get on any .
Bit worried as what i will eat .
Live on my own so have usually just ate what i felt like.
10 years ago i lived in a awful place and was very depressed and hardly ate .
When i moved here i was only a size 10 .
Now a size 18 and feel enormous and its affecting my health.
Up and down stairs i am out of breath..but i also have a heart condition too .
I think thats it for a first post

Catladyof7 · 19/06/2025 19:29

Forgot to add, i do not and cant get a GP in this village .
Long story but fell out with all 3 practices.
Wrong diagnosis, wrong blood test results, wrong medication and treated like dirt ( thats mainly the receptionists)
Now i cant get one as i am out of area .
Not had a doctor for 3 years .
Last place i went to on emergency as i had trouble walking and a severe rash down one leg.
was told it was …impetigo …..It was …Shingles …so another GP who was useless
I am 68 .

Welcome, you've made a huge step even just ordering the pen and this thread is great for ideas. What kind of food do you like to eat? Can't guarantee the suppression will kick in but what about stocking up ready with lots of veg, protein etc?

MummySharkDoodoododoo · 19/06/2025 19:37

Gosh I can't keep up with this thread! Can't even find my previous post on it!

Anyway, still not lost any weight. 4th Jab at 2.5mg tomorrow.

I'm finding hunger is suppressed during the day but in the evening im feeling really hungry.

I'm eating 2x Weetabix for breakfast, a protein shake for lunch, and then a normal family meal in the evening. Only snacking on fruit and veg

I'm starting to feel less lethargic during the day though. Although really struggling to get going in the morning. I'm drinking 2litres of water plus cups of tea etc.

Really envious of those loosing weight well. I'm eating well within calerie deficit and logging it all on myfitness pal.

scarediecat · 19/06/2025 17:35

What are everyone’s thoughts on taking collagen? I’ve done some research but there seems a lot of conflicting reviews.

My sister recommended bovine, it targets skin, hair and joints.

Boxingshibes · 19/06/2025 19:51

Hi I've just ordered my first pen.
It should arrive next Tuesday.
I'm 5ft8 and 99.6kg.
I probably won't be able to take the pen till the Saturday. I travel every other week for work sun-fri so Saturday is the only day I'll be able to take it. As I'll have no fridge to store.
Do you think I'll be OK to take it then travel the next day. I ve read about side effects?

Catladyof7 · 19/06/2025 19:53

Unfortunately i also dont live near any supermarkets so end up shopping online and cant do another one till i get my pension next Friday .
I also like stuff thats bad for you !
Cake, Chocolate, nuts and crisps and ice cream !
I have an air fryer and sometimes cook oven chips and fish in it .
This weather, i have had salad all this week, but no lettuce left .
Also had strawberries from the garden.
I like most foods i guess , all veg , few potatoes, love a curry ( usually have some in and Asda ones)
I eat some meat , all done in air fryer .
My worst is snacking at night watching TV .
As above, sweets, chocolate or nuts and little cheese biscuits/crisps .
I dont really like breakfast type things, cereal bars, porridge etc.
I get up late as i sleep terribly ..like hours to get to sleep , then awake again on and off for a couple of hours at a time .
I like eggs, Bacon which i would have in the evening.
I usually miss breakfast, but middle of afternoon is a milky coffee and a piece of cake …obviously where i am going wrong

Think i posted my reply but not sure if its to you or not, or just general. Only getting used to how this works as i didnt see a reply button

I did see someone recommend Ashwagandha as been lurking a few days and reading

Thornrose · 19/06/2025 20:10

I'm week 1, day 6. I had an urgent need to rush to the toilet for the first time this afternoon. Which took me by surprise. In fact I just had to rush again while typing this.

I expected that to happen on day 1 or 2. I'm hoping it may be a coincidence. It's one side effect I really didn't want as I have a long commute!

I've had no wine since Friday which is huge for me! That's mainly because I've convinced myself I'll get bad side effects if I drink. But it's working for now and breaking the habit.

I'm not going on the scales until Sunday morning but honestly don't feel I've lost any.

I'm not particularly hungry, especially this last couple of days. I'm going to eat dinner now but I could easily not bother.

theaveragewife · 19/06/2025 20:12

That’s so funny @Booklover2021 I’m also craving olives - but on top of that tinned fish with rocket!?!? In fact anything that tastes a little pickled.

I woke up with an awful headache, possibly due to the heat last night, two electrolytes and paracetamol down and feeling ok again now. As if we don’t have to drink a ridiculous amount of water already - don’t think I’ve been as thirsty as today in my life.

ShesRunningOutTheDoor · 19/06/2025 20:23

just did my 3rd injection. Every time I have a little droplet of fluid on my skin. I must have really bouncy resilient fat bits which just project any threat to their welfare back out.

PS I read today that new clinical evidence recommends a multi vit while on MJ

I would focus on good quality food, so avoid processed food where you can. Lots of good curry recipes online, often with very simple ingredients.

@MummySharkDoodoododoo

I find weetabix makes me really hungry. Could you try a higher protein breakfast? Are you eating enough? (I know that’s the most annoying question for anyone on a diet! 😂)

I find that I'm not really hungry at lunchtime though hense just having a protein shake for lunch, as before I started the shakes I wasn't really eating lunch and then I think I wasn't eating enough. So I don't think the breakfast is the issue? Although I have seen that Weetabix do another version that's got extra protein. I'm a sucker for sugary/chocolate cereal so the Weetabix is actually great progress for me compared to what I was eating before MJ. 🤣

I think maybe I need more protein at dinner or something. I don't know, I just feel like I'm eating most of my calories in the evening which I know isn't ideal. I guess it's when I'm least busy though too so maybe it's partly boredom 🙈

This is really resonating, so thank you. I'm similar- put on 3 stone with bloody peri/ meno. I eat like a bird & cannot lose the last 2 stone (lost 15lbs Jan-Easter & it's totally stalled). I don't crave food & can stick to stuff (and I walk every day).

Your post is what I'm hoping to hear! I hope MJ will kick start my processing & lead to weight loss eventually.🫰

I always considered this a treat for Saturday night.
Not one for doing much cooking from scratch.
I have a bolognese in the freezer and a pasta bake i made a couple of weeks ago .
I drink tea and coffee, but only two cups of tea and one of coffee a day.
I do drink Water and low calorie tonic water flavoured ones .
Fresh orange juice a couple of times a week

PloopDeck · 19/06/2025 21:21

FirstDayonthePlanet · 19/06/2025 17:45

End of week check in: 2 weeks in, taking 3rd dose tonight.

week 1: 4lb (rounded)
week 2: 1lb (rounded)
so total loss of 5.1lb

not as much as some but since I’ve been losing and regaining the same 3lb since January I’m thrilled with 5lb in 2weeks.

5’3”, I’m eating 1273cals per day as per TDEE, finding that easy to stick to thanks to MJ. Don’t think it would be sensible to go lower and if even 1lb a week is going to be consistent, and the diet is this manageable, I’m very happy with that until goal.

Great going my starting twin! We have done two whole weeks! 😊
