Hi all

Having a bit of a mayday situation.

Tmi but I am having literal water out of my ass all day today

What can I do to treat it or stop it. I need to go to work 😳😵‍💫

Dellabella83 · 17/06/2025 20:55

W2D4. Got into a rhythm of intermittent fasting, eating lunch and dinner, minimal snacks. Screwed myself a bit today, fell into snack mode, made roasted chickpeas in air fryer (if you haven’t tried, do it they are yummy!) prob is I didn’t listen to my body and scoffed the whole tin worth 🤦‍♀️ rest of day felt bloated, diarrhoea and generally yucky. Lesson learned!

Congrats @BonjournoMonjourno . Although even if it interfered with my contraception it would have to the immaculate conception for me 😂

I injected today!
W1D1

SW88kg

👋 Started today too, & we're similar SW. I'm sitting here waiting for the side effects! My sister had awful heartburn the 1st week. I'm prone to it, so nervously awaiting the onslaught.

I've eaten normally today- 1300 cals & high protein- hopefully going to feel the supression tomorrow.

Can you take anything to bulk yourself up a bit??? Otherwise I'd say lots of water to try and "flush it out"

Excuse the awful word choices there

Puffalicious · 17/06/2025 20:58

Sam187 I'm laughing as I just read your comments & have realised my nose feels strangely cold! I'm only day 1, so perhaps it's coincidence? What a strange side effect, eh?

@Sideorderofchipsoh no!! Poor you.

what week/day are you on?

I assume Imodium might help but check that for any interactions first obviously

Do you fancy taking the super fast tablets that stop diahorrea? Or do you not want to go down that road?

Poor you.

FoxRedPuppy · 17/06/2025 21:04

Some dioralyte or electrolytes would be good too.

Imodium is the only thing to stop it quickly.

I'd be quite happy to be cold, I’m perimenopausal and on medication that makes me hot- and it’s going to be a heatwave!

@Puffalicious honestly, it's bizarre 😂 I'm currently sitting watching TV with a blanket on and cold hands, while my other half is wearing shorts 🤷🏼‍♀️ you'll need to let me know if it stays contained to just your nose haha!

I'd be taking immodium to slow things down. Think about adding some psyllium husk. It's fibre but helps to bulk things. Ive gone the other way and unbearably constipated! 💩 chat. The joys of Mounjaro

Badgerandfox227 · 17/06/2025 21:17

W2D1 for me - just had 2nd jab, was still really anxious about it. I’ve had a really good first week and lost 5lbs - not have that kind of drop after one week since my 20’s! Symptoms have been ok apart from one day when I had nausea, I’ve been focussing on getting my protein in and drinking as much as possible.

SW - 13st 10lbs
CW - 13st 5lbs
GW - 10st 0lbs

I was just thinking the same that I'd quite welcome feeling chilly with the heat-wave on the way. Big test will be the morning as I need to wash my hair before work, & blow-drying it in the morning makes me sweat like mad since peri/ meno. Chilly will be a bonus.

I am quite chilly all over now I think of it. My teen is sloping around in shorts & nothing else & side-eyeing me as I shiver a bit (he doesn't know about the MJ).

https://sweetpeasandsaffron.com/crispy-air-fryer-chickpeas/ Is a good one. You can add whatever spices you like. I did mine for about 16/17 mins as like them extra crunchy (but be warned, very moreish!)

ULTRA Crispy Air Fryer Chickpeas

Crispy air fryer chickpeas are the tastiest and crunchiest snack you will find. Using the air fryer cuts the cook time down to 15 minutes, and they are so much crispier than in the oven!

I've just ordered my first pen and planning to start my injections next week (have some work travel to do first, so don't want to risk weird side effects while I'm away).

My BMI is 41 and I'm aiming to lose over 50kg (I'm tall). But even losing a few kg would be great as I know my health is suffering.

I'll confess, I am worried about serious side effects - especially around raised heart rate (as mine is already a bit high) and injection site reactions (my skin is phenomenally sensitive) but I can't go on being as big as I am.

My main motivation is my health. My blood pressure - while not classed as high - has crept up over the last couple of years. I have a family history of cardiovascular disease and I'm also fed up of being so tired and struggling so much in the heat.

So I'm excited but also quite scared, as I have a lot of health anxiety anyway.

Edited

I was like you! Massive health anxiety and I did have heart palpitations the night I injected but I think it was because I had really worked myself up re side affects ( and I jabbed at night )

I’m now on W2D2, injected yesterday morning instead so I had the whole day for any heart palpitations ( why do they seem so much worse at night ?! ) so anyway, I was absolutely fine all day yesterday a lot more chilled and the only other side effect I’ve been having is that I’m absolutely exhausted!

good luck! I’m sure you’ll be fine!

Sideorderofchips · 17/06/2025 21:38

Thanks all x

Can't get any immodium tonight as everything closed over here. I'm on co codamol and usually that bungs me up so this is a novelty!

I'm on week 1 day 6 🤦‍♀️

Sideorderofchips · 17/06/2025 21:39

Meant to say will deffo pick some up tomorrow

@Puffalicious also true, although I was in Salzburg at the wknd and it was 32°, didn't feel cold there 😂

I mean, I am in Scotland so probs a little cooler than you all, but not quite blanket weather haha. Awww no, I've made you cold talking about it 🥶. Let's hope it passes you by.

PS I did have one night last wk I was so cold I ordered a hot water bottle from Amazon. Obscene 🤣

Hair drying in menopause is hateful. I still insist on doing my make up first only to have it slide off my face with sweat as I blow dry my hair

One of the best things I've bought is the blow dryer brush. Much faster, less heat blowing at you, and minimal straightening required afterwards! I don't detest drying my hair so much any more!

FoxRedPuppy · 17/06/2025 22:21

I recently blow dried my hair on holiday in Greece before going out in the evening. I had to lie down with two fans pointing at me for ages to regulate myself again 😂

Is it normal to worry that you haven’t done the jab properly m, even though you followed the instructions exactly?

User99999999 · 17/06/2025 22:23

Week 3 starts today and weighed this morning, I’ll jab before going to bed.

SW 109.9kg
CW 106.7kg
GW 73kg maybe (dare to dream!! 😂)

The email has come through asking me to request the next prescription, my suppression this week was great for 4 days and then moderate for 3. I’m tempted to stay on 2.5 for another month. What is everyone else thinking for July?

Xmasfairy86 · 17/06/2025 22:29

W3 D3 and the snacking is back 🤦🏽‍♀️ not back back, but back enough! Need to look to order 2nd pen but that feels like effort and decisions and I’m not here for that right now 😂😂

I'm considering staying at 2.5mg for another month and seeing how I go. I'm same as you W3D1.

Yes I think the same, 2.5 for another month and then revaluate. Also, in other exciting news, I injected into my thigh this time!
