W3D1 I’m going to inject this afternoon, can’t wait!

SW - 13st 4lbs
CW - 12st 10lbs
loss - 8lbs (6lbs wk1, 2lbs wk2)

happy with weight loss so far but appetite suppression really tails off at the end of the week. Mild headaches have stopped. Looking forward to going up to 5mg. Does anyone know if MedExpress still have stock issues?

we’ll done everyone!

KillerMounjaro · 17/06/2025 10:55

W3D2 for me (jab 3 on Sunday night) and after days of little weight loss I had another whoosh down this morning and I’ve lost 1st 1lb so far!

I’m not interested in any snacks like crisps or chocolate at all. My diet has been really good overall, but at the weekend I had a Dominos pizza as it was just me and my son and it’s his favourite. I didn’t want to spoil what we usually do when it’s just me and him. I chose healthier options though and had a thinner base and reduced fat cheese and chicken instead of pepperoni.

Then on Sunday had a roast dinner but no Yorkshire pudding and only a couple of tiny roast potatoes.

As soon as I had a day back on my high protein low carb foods I lost loads of weight!!

I think the big difference for me by being on MJ is the mental side - usually if I’m on a diet and I “have” to eat something “bad” it totally sends me off the rails. I think “oh well I’ve ruined today - I may as well eat bad for the whole day/week/month.”

But now it seems like no issue - I had that, it was fine, now back to normal, totally unaffected mentally.

I’m hoping that this will be the difference I need to be successful this time.

SW 21-11
CW 20-9.4

I am a bit of a fibre evangelist, and I don't think many people realise how little they eat - you can hit your five a day and still barely touch the sides. I see people mentioning prunes, but even six prunes is only 3.1g of fibre - we're meant to be aiming for 30g a day...

If you have some suggestions for fibre that are food-based, that would be really useful to have. Or an example of a day's plan that would meet the target. Thank you!

baggybags · 17/06/2025 11:14

I really struggle to get the fibre in

Well done on your loss so far. It's exciting isn't it.

I couldn't wait to weigh myself this morning. 6 pounds down and 5 the previous week before MJ.

I've heard some people mention 3.75mg, but my doctor said it would be 5mg for my second pen.

I'm on W2 D2 so not due a new pen yet. He'll call me at the beginning of my fourth week to come in.

I've been told it goes up by about £10 for every pen. If it continues working like it has then that's fine with me.

FancyShaker · 17/06/2025 11:32

Hi, W2D2
so far
Negative. SE not seen mentioned , slight feeling closing throat and lips tingling, mild but not lasting long, didn't feel anything wj1 but wk2 different.

Positive . My life not taking over thinking of food all time, been a life long yoyo, did get down to 25 for my wedding 2 years ago but back upto 30. Alcohol has been my nemesis dealing with work related stress and menopause. Honestly not turning to a drink each evening and not feeling bothered a complete relevation.
I stopped hrt a few months ago due to mood swings. Feel better for it but the weight piled on was an issue which then made me down
Hope to just try MJ for a couple of months

@Sisterloveit is exciting! The next option on MedExpress is 5mg so I’ll just go for that. I’m so so glad I’ve found some thing that actually works! The cost is a lot but worth every penny. I wish I’d done it sooner!

MsRinky · 17/06/2025 11:35

I take a prebiotic supplement (myota) which gives me a good baseline of nearly 10g of different fibre types and then I have pulses/lentils most days, and raspberries most days. Carrots, broad beans, peas are all great. Dark rye crackers or bread. Avocado surprisingly good. Adding a sprinkle of nuts/seeds as a garnish adds up.

I don't really do oats/cereal and don't eat enough rice or pasta for the wholegrain varieties to contribute much. I have my Nutracheck set up so that my protein and fibre are what I monitor first.

@MsRinky thanks

Can I join? 👋did my first jab yesterday. 4st to lose, BMI 28.5 but I have some additional conditions that saw my prescription approved.

Is it possible that I have nausea already? Been feeling a bit ‘off’ this morning!

Shwingbada · 17/06/2025 12:09

Yikes @BonjournoMonjourno! Difficult to know how to react without context but I imagine it's a surprise! Hope you're doing ok.

workshyfop · 17/06/2025 12:13

Can I join? I’ll be taking my first 2.5mg dose tonight. SW 14st 7lb.The courier left it on the doorstep at 9am and I didn’t realise it was there until just now, and it’s hot today. Put it straight in the fridge, hope it will still work!

Gingercar · 17/06/2025 12:15

Was it packed well? Mine came on ice packed with wool. As long as it’s not got warm I wouldn’t worry.

BonjournoMonjourno · 17/06/2025 12:17

We’re ok.

I’ve only done a month on 2.5 so I’m hoping it won’t have any implications on it. I’ve got my 5mg in the fridge ready to go on Saturday but I guess that will have to go in the bin.
We flirted with the idea of having another baby between Christmas and March but decided that because we weren’t 100% certain about it that we wouldn’t.
If it’s a girl we’ll call her Mounjara 🤣

It had an ice pack and wrapped in wool but the ice pack was warm by the time I got to it.

I’m sure it will be fine. You could check with your provider to be safe.

Afternoon 😊

Does anyone have any prom codes for Farmeci (second order)
Or does anyone want a 15% off?

Feel free to DM me ❤️

BadgerFace · 17/06/2025 13:21

Congrats @BonjournoMonjourno!! The only tone I’ve ever been successful losing weight is ending each of my pregnancies a stone lighter than when I got pregnant! Which shows how many of my calories used to come from alcohol… 😳

I’ve just ordered my next pen. I decided to stick at 2.5mg as when I looked at my diary there are too many times I will be far from a toilet to want to risk increased side effects for next month.

It was hard to decide to stay on a low dose as I’m W3D6 and I haven’t lost any weight since mid-last week even though I’ve stuck to 1,300 calories every day bar yesterday. But I put a tshirt on this morning which I wouldn’t usually wear as it’s a bit shorter than some others I have and so usually I think my belly sticks out too much but today I was comfortable enough to wear it to work so that’s my win for today!

PuppyHerder · 17/06/2025 13:31

Congratulations @BonjournoMonjourno ! Glad this isn't a known side effect though 😂Put all of that waaayy behind me!

Puffalicious · 17/06/2025 13:33

Hi again all,

I just got injected! So W1D1 👏

Went with the independent pharmacy my sister is using. They were lovely & did a whole health check. BP is borderline, which is a surprise to me, so that in itself is good to know I need to keep an eye on it.

I've been losing weight since Jan due to ruddy meno weight gain but have completely stalled the past 6 weeks. I already do high protein, low carb, low calories, intermittent fasting & walk fast an hour a day, so really desperate to see if this wonder drug really is a wonder for me.
I put ON 2lbs this week on my diet, so enough was enough.

SW (Jan) 14st 2 lbs
SW (today) 13st 3lbs
GW 10st 10lbs

Looking forward to this journey with you all.

I heard this on the radio today. I am due my period today but no sign of it, which is why I tested.

Contraception warning over weight-loss drugs after dozens of pregnancies

UK watchdog has had 40 reports relating to pregnancies in people using drugs such as Ozempic and Mounjaro
