I’m just coming to the end of week 4 with Voy. They’ve been really good. Joy, the AI coach is amazing- I’ve had recipes, meal plans, picnic ideas and exercise suggestions off her. It’s like talking to a real person, but the replies are quicker. My human coach said use it as much as you can and it builds a profile of you. I also love the protein log with the plate analysis, although it seems to have disappeared this week! I had a few technical issues with the app in week 1 so they discounted my second month by 20%, but I don’t think I can stay with Voy after that. It’s so expensive as the pen volumes go up. Hopefully I’ll be in the swing of things by then.

So good you've had a good experience with Voy so far! Just had my first session with my coach and she was SO lovely - also a mum to a small child so she could relate! We set a couple of manageable micro habits to start with - water intake and doing 10mins of exercise/movement a day which is all I can manage on my gruelling schedule. But, it's better than nothing! I really love the meal photo analysis as well and yes the AI coach is amazing - she gave me a whole meal plan and shopping list for meals that only take 10 mins max to make in 30 seconds!

For everyone thinking they have put weight on or low losses please try taking measurements or putting on clothes that didn't fit you, you may be surprised. Don't feel downheartened. It didn't go on overnight, so it won't come off that quickly either. A couple of pounds is more sustainable and it does make a difference to your health. Please stick with it. 🥰 Also for people struggling with water intake; you don't have to drink litres and litres of water, you can include any fluid in that, like tea. From research drinking litres and litres can upset your electrolyte balance especially if you are exercising. I'm not a medical professional I just research things. I'm also not saying don't drink, as obviously you need to and this drug can dehydrate you, just don't be stressing thinking you aren't doing it 'right'. Sending lots of support to you all 🥰 (this is in no way meant to be condescending or 'telling' people. It is hard to get the tone right in a post, especially when you don't know the person). xx

This! I took photos 2 weeks apart and could see the difference already

W3D3 and I feel rubbish. Very constipated, sicky and generally bleurgh. Also had stomach pain earlier but thankfully they have passed.
Spoke to an old friend today who has lost 3 stone but has had to stop due to side effects. Not felt till she reached 7.5mg and progressively worsened. So I definitely plan to stay on as low a dose for as long a time as possible.
I really need to take a laxative but am in the office all day tomorrow with a long drive there and back. So, will need to hold back with that till I'm closer to a private toilet!

FoxRedPuppy · 16/06/2025 17:29

Can I join? Got approved today and pick up my first pen tomorrow. Excited and nervous.

I'm already a (slow) runner and lift light weights. I’ve been trying to amend my eating the last week or so, to be in the habit. Which works until about 7pm and then I keep snacking!

I really hope this works. I was on steroids two years ago and gained 3 stone. I’ve never been able to shift it.

I recommend movicol (and other non-branded versions) for constipation. It’s gentle and essentially just helps your stool (!) absorb more water. No sudden explosion either. I have an autistic child so I am PHD level in constipation 😂

Bought some Movicol from Amazon so that will be here tomorrow. This is horrendous!

Of course! All welcome here! You've joined just as I'm moaning about 💩 💩 But that aside, lots of us seeing good losses!

EmmaPoppins · 16/06/2025 18:19

Hi June Jabbers.

Welcome everyone that's joined in last few days, really hope Mounjarno works for you.

@FoxRedPuppy I no longer have snack noise in the evenings, it's been a bit of a game changer as that was always my worst time of day. Good luck for tomorrow.

Week 2 done here, 2lbs lost so 7lb in total in a fortnight.

I haven't taken my 3rd jab this afternoon, last 2 weeks I've been totally wired on jab night and struggled to sleep so going to take it first thing tomorrow to see if that helps!

Off for a swim in a minute, determined to make a bit of me time :)

Keep going everyone! With or without prunes!!!!

Sam187 · 16/06/2025 18:32

Evening June Jabbers,

Hope we're all good. I had a crazy busy weekend, was in Frankfurt Fri evening, which was a meal out and 3 proseccos, followed by a day in Salzburg on Sat where my partners little girl chose McDs as her dinner of choice, then home to Glasgow last night and got the Mr a takeaway for fathers day - again chose a little snack box and didn't even finish it. But all in all, it's been a big weekend.

W2 D7 for me, suppression waning as the week goes on, so I can eat a little more, but not particularly thinking about food more or craving anything. Had half a crunchie last night and again couldn't finish it, unheard of!

Still debating over whether to go up to 5mg or stick with 2.5 for another month. Will decide by Thurs/Fri to order in enough time.

SusanSHelit · 16/06/2025 18:33

I'm going to an aqua aerobics class in about half an hour for the first time in years and finding it very daunting! The idea of anyone seeing me in a swimming costume is quite nerve wracking. But I keep telling myself I have to start somewhere but I'm dreading it. Almost feels like a fear of the unknown. I wary of loosing too much muscle on this journey though, so I know exercise has to be a part of it. Finding one I don't hate is the tricky part.

I've always enjoyed swimming though and running really isn't a good idea for me, I have some old injuries and hypermobility so am very prone to sprains and dislocations. Running at a healthy weight is risky but as overweight as I am now is a popped ankle /knee waiting to happen

Wish me luck June jabbers!

Good luck! You'll absolutely love it once you've been back, I recently did the same with my Zumba class and also debating swimming again!

scarediecat · 16/06/2025 18:38

First day down and I’ve been surprised how quickly it’s worked on my hunger and cravings. Maybe it’s just a psychological thing but I’m happy with that too!

I’ve also added fasting in so I don’t have anything after 7pm, give or take. If m hoping this will help quash my drinking habits as I “can’t” have it.

ThisNeedsToWork · 16/06/2025 19:21

Evening all and welcome to all those just starting!
W2D3 here! After a worrying start yesterday because I couldn’t feel suppression the way I did last week, I’ve realised it’s working but just differently. I don’t feel that ‘I can’t eat a thing’ suppression of last week-good job really-but I still have no desire to eat snacks or make unhealthy choices. Today I’ve eaten a bowl of yoghurt with protein granola, 2 x bananas, some grapes and 2 x slices of wholemeal toast and spread. I’m having chicken breast and steamed veg for dinner in about 15mins. Much better than my 500 cal days of last week.
@Tinybirdie, I hope you get some relief soon. Movicol is great and doesn’t cause urgency. It just makes it easier to go.

I’m really torn on what to do next month as it’s working so well. I’ve lost 8lbs in just over a week. I just worry what will happen if it all disappears after Jab1 of the second pen!
SW: 13st3lbs
CW: 12st9lbs
GW: 10 stone

Crinklecat · 16/06/2025 19:57

Still only 24 hours from my first jab but I just had 2 glasses of wine. Feel like I’ve eaten loads today but just added it up and it’s less than 1400 including wine so much better than normal. And felt more energetic this afternoon. Now completely crashed though and feel like I could fall asleep

flameprincess · 16/06/2025 20:18

W3D1 I've ordered the next pen to make sure I have it. Moved from MedExpress to Medicine Market Place as ME seem to have a bad rep at the moment and I didnt realise there were cheaper suppliers in my initial eagerness to order.

Decided to stick on 2.5mg for another month. The suppression for me is not so strong I dont want to eat, but enough that I make better choices, and I can still actually enjoy food when I DO eat. I'd rather that than completely be put off food. Also I want to increase as slow as possible so I have 'somewhere to go' once the 2.5 isn't doing its thing.

Sideorderofchips · 16/06/2025 20:19

Hi all

Does anyone have any tips to stop burping? They aren't sulfuric but do make me feel nauseous

Thanks :)

ShesRunningOutTheDoor · 16/06/2025 20:44

W2D3
@Tinybirdie i’m constipated too. Will also buy movicol.
just done first run since starting. Have done lots of walking but have felt tired since starting with fatigue in my legs so stayed off harder exercise. Well, today I just got my energy back - no afternoon nap required - and off I went for a run and it felt really good.

MarlboroughMillie · 16/06/2025 20:44

First dose last night. I’m a complete baby with needles so was dreading it, but it was absolutely fine and totally painless, which is a massive relief. Side effects today have been pretty mild. A little bit of nausea and headache but nothing bad at all. Have eaten but not even thought about snacks or a glass of wine, which feels so weird, but in a good way!
Feeling really positive that I have finally taken action and that there is real hope of success this time.

BonjournoMonjourno · 16/06/2025 20:51

I know SheMed is a little more expensive. It’s £159 a month regardless of dosage but I can recommend them. They send a little care package with box of medication for any side effects you might have, constipation, indigestion, diarrhoea, sickness etc.

RossPoldarksWife · 16/06/2025 20:54

Hi all,
Im on W2D1. I lost 4lb in the first week, which I’m happy with.
I’ve had no nausea and the food noise has definitely gone. I was so worried about feeling sick.
I got my mounjaro at my local pharmacy, who were so helpful.
She took my blood pressure, checked my heart, weighed and measured me. Asked lots of questions. I felt happier seeing someone face to face. I go back to see her every time I collect a new pen.

Also weirdly I can’t stand sweeteners in my tea anymore!! After years of trying to have tea with no sugar!

TheMagnificentBean · 16/06/2025 21:06

Can I join you June jabbers? Just been approved for my first pen with Lloyds (I wanted a pharmacy I recognised for my first one - might swap later if it goes ok). I’m waiting for a dispatch notification now - I was approved (based on video etc) this morning so hopefully not long.

Will do some stats when I start the actual jabbing, but I’m 5’5” and 96kg at the moment so badly need to lose some weight.

Hazey19 · 16/06/2025 21:19

Week 2, day 1 for me and I haven’t done very well today. I’m hoping the suppression is back tomorrow as it is definitely not here today! I am really tired but not sure if it’s because I’m just tired or it’s the injection. There was liquid at the injection site this time round which there wasn’t last time so now I’m paranoid it didn’t go in properly. Fingers crossed I’ll be more motivated tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well x

SusanSHelit · 16/06/2025 21:28

First aqua fit class and so glad I went. Had an absolute blast and am definitely going to be aching tomorrow! Will definitely be going again, at least until I'm fit enough to step up to some higher impact stuff. Push comes to shove I'll just go swimming once or twice a week. Shift work has its perks! I'm often not in work during off peak times and the pool free to gym members then

I really haven't eaten enough today so I'm going to have some tomato and bean soup and maybe some crusty bread before shower and bed. I need to eat a decent breakfast tomorrow too because I'm getting yet another tattoo and don't really want to faint on my tattoo artists bench /table thingy.

Hi @Hazey19 quite a few of us had liquid around the injection site after the second (and third in my case) jabs but not the first so I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.

Great news on the aqua fit, well done @SusanSHelit!
