Well done @BreezyPeer! what is your plan for when you hit goal?

im starting to feel better from my illness now, nowhere near able to pick up doing any exercise yet though which is making me weirdly twitchy😭 we go on holiday this weekend so I'm just focussing on resting as much as possible so I'm hopefully fully fit for that. Given the heatwave on the way I need to get out all my summer clothes and see what I'm still able to wear! The rest will go to charity shop, Vinted has slowed right down and I can't be doing with the bags of clothes hanging about any more.

myladyjane · 09/07/2025 08:36

@Polkadotdash do take the time to recover. I hope the gut pain clears soon. I find the gut health thing quite interesting (have done the Zoe program). On mj I can’t tolerate a lot of the stuff which I found worked well in this regard, especially pulses and fermented food like kimchi and seeds as they trigger digestive side effects. I eat a lot of plants and yoghurt to make up for it.

@BreezyPeer ohhh looks like goal is in sight. Well done matey! You started at the same weight as me so I love seeing yours and @MJalltheway progress as I think we all started at roughly the same time/weight. You two are taller than me though so I’ve got quite a bit further to go…..

@MJalltheway am impressed at how you have rechannelled things into exercise. That’s dopamine going in the right place.

I am conscious that I am quite often a bit negative about my own progress on here so am trying not to be. I still can’t exercise because of my surgery (had a hiccup in my recovery this week and on antibiotics) and I am still waiting for my biopsy results so I feel a bit in limbo. I am also not weighing this week as my period is due. But I’ve improved the quality of my food and upped the protein again. Also much increased the water. I am starting a new 7.5 pen tomorrow which will be my third and I’m intrigued to see how the month will play out as my suppression remains very high on the weekend but hunger is creeping up earlier and earlier in the week. I am still full at the end of my meals but the ‘sigh’ is fading a bit. So I think I may have to be a bit more concious this month and do a bit of work
myself. I do t see this as a bad thing though, since I’ve had my health stuff I’ve been relying on the mj and not looking at my own habits as I should be doing so this will be a good opportunity to reboot.

BreezyPeer · 09/07/2025 08:46

@MJalltheway @myladyjane
I set my goal when I thought that was completely unrealistic! Never thought I'd get anywhere near it 🤣
Now it is close I am going to set a new goal at 10st 7lb which would be bmi 22.5.
I am now the lowest weight I have been in 15/16 years, its crazy!
I want to reach my current goal (hopefully before my birthday at the end of this month)
I love having weight twins! It helps to understand how everyone is getting on

Jins · 09/07/2025 08:59

@myladyjane your post helped me to realise that I don’t feel that I have much suppression at all nowadays. The times when I was full after a bowl of soup are long gone. There must be some suppression going on as I’m not eating much during the day but I’m definitely finishing my evening meal and then having a banana or something sweet later on.

If I wasn’t in a healthy weight range and if I hadn’t had late onset MJ side effects I’d be going up a dose for sure. I’ll see how the half dose every 5 days pans out but it looks like I might have to use actual will power if I want to drop the last 3 pounds to get to goal.

I don’t feel that MJ is having much impact but perhaps it is and I’m just feeling how naturally slim people feel? I’m scared to find out though

BlueLimes · 09/07/2025 09:13

@MJalltheway glad you are feeling better. @Polkadotdash i bet you have a whoosh despite your very bad scales, you’re probably retaining water. Rest up! @myladyjane hope you get your results soon and that they are good. I moaned most of June - think fine to let off steam on here.

Think missed a few posts, will try to read back but well done on all losses, nsv and huge sympathy for all struggling.

@BreezyPeer amazing, so happy for you.

I decided to go for it and had 15mg on Sunday. Suppression much better.

Week 27
SW 12.2

Possibly the lightest I’ve been in 30 years.
I'm going to have to keep going - still lots of stomach fat, but haven’t had a flat stomach since I was about 8 - damn genes. Otherwise I am
starting to feel like a small person - just the tummy which is completely out of proportion and maybe we won’t talk about the tops of arms.

So pleased I started though, I feel happier and healthier.

Have a great day all.

DGonMJ · 09/07/2025 11:18

Morning all

@MJalltheway glad you’re feeling better, I get the twitchy feeling from not exercising.

@BreezyPeer and @BlueLimes you’re doing so well!

@myladyjane well done for increasing your quality of food, and upping your protein. It’s hard to maintain constant positivity through this, but we’re all

I’ve caught my first cold while on MJ, and it was because I got caught in the rain and cold on Sunday at the event, not helped by also having a glass of champagne. Even the smallest amount of alcohol really does make me feel very tired the next day. I can’t drink enough of it to feel any of the fun benefits (more relaxed, happier, chattier), so it really is just for show - to be seen holding a glass.

I had such a craving for sugar yesterday, wondering if it was the cold bug brewing - I had two large chocolate buttons, a mini pastel del nata, a chunk of chocolate covered honeycomb…and then a pear and a plum. If I want to reduce the dose then I’ll need to figure out how to curb these cravings - it’s harder to ignore the snacks when they’re all laid out on the table in a meeting vs back in January. But also, now at goal weight I’m consciously trying to not hold back so much.

Perhaps, like @Jins i’ve built up a tolerance to MJ, but back on 5mg I did still feel quite a bit of suppression which has lessened on 4mg. Other things I’ve recently noticed from reducing the dose from 5 to 4:

  • I sleep better on those first couple of nights after the jab.
  • The whites of my eyes are brighter - I had a lot of prominent blood vessels on the 5mg dose.
  • Tummy has started rumbling again, has been completely silent since January.
  • Less dry mouth - but unfortunately means I’m not drinking as much water, so need to get better at that
  • Craving more coffee after only being able to drink one cup a day, am now back to two / two and a half.
  • Probably related to increased coffee consumption, I’m staying up later.
MJalltheway · 09/07/2025 12:06

Hope you feel better soon @DGonMJ. I've been browsing the sales while I've been ill and have ordered loads of size 14s. Some arriving today, some tomorrow. Hope they actually fit now!
trying (and failing) to summon up the energy to start going through my wardrobe and be brutal over whether things are worth keeping or not.

Jins · 09/07/2025 16:00

Well I’ve just had a bra fitting at an independent near me. It was quite the experience for both of us. She whipped her tape out and confidently announced I’m a 34D. (Vaguely what BoB suggested) Tried it on, wouldn’t fasten. Went up to a 36C, wouldn’t fasten. 38C fastened but I had loads of armpit fat squidging out and empty cups. Tried to trap it in a cup but it popped out again at the slightest movement.

So we’re at a 40 band width for a tight underbust measurement of 32.5. C was laughable, B was still vaguely empty and A wasn’t perfect and she only had one in that size and I hated it.

I do actually still have boobs and they definitely aren’t tiny so this is beyond my comprehension. It looked like it was beyond hers as well. So I picked up a 38B in Asda which is way too tight but the cups are perfect and I’m going to take it apart and make a nice one out of it. I figured it had to be worth a try for a tenner.

Jins · 09/07/2025 16:40

Further bra update - I picked up a Sloggi push-up in L because it was £7.97 (now back up at £25) and it has just arrived. The band is perfect and although I don’t fill the cups it doesn’t matter as they are those vile moulded things anyway. So my very specific need for something to improve my shape in one particular dress has been met and I can hack away at the Asda one to my heart’s content

myladyjane · 09/07/2025 19:38

@Jins how interesting re your boobs. Whenever I’ve done BoB I get weird and funny outcomes that never actually fit. It’s so much down to the shape isn’t it - mine are quite wide set with lots of curve at the side and despite being a g cup at some points, don’t have a cleavage. Balconies work best but then I look like I’m sloshing tankards on the bar and taking the lord of the manor behind the cow shed.

after saying I was feeling increased hunger, today I’ve literally forgotten to eat. Thinking about it, Tuesday is often my hungriest day and Wednesday similar to earlier in the mj week (I jab on Thursday nights). Bodies are odd.

TicTac80 · 10/07/2025 06:31

Morning all!! I have a few minutes before I have to head off to work. I'm still on the maintenance but dialled dose down to 7.5mg (instead of 10mg) for a second week. I think I will have to dial the dose down again on next dose as I'm 51.6kg...and I really don't want to lose weight at all (BMI is 19). I was scared before that the suppression would all go once doses went down, but it hasn't. This week I will def try 5mg.

Weird being in a position where one doesn't actually want to lose weight! I'm trying to eat more and get to a happy and even keel where weight is maintained and so on.

How are you all doing? I'm away in the camper van this weekend. I test drove it the other day (proper drive) and it was great but terrifying. First time in 5yrs that I've driven manual. Hill starts are odd/bloody difficult because of where the old style handbrake is. I'm a shorty so reaching pedals is also a gym workout!! I think the rest of the road users will hate me as it's so slow and clunky, but I guess that is what you get with a 45yr old classic van!! Anyway, I've gotta run. Hope you're all ok!! xx

meatyryvita · 10/07/2025 06:53

Good luck @TicTac80that sounds fun. Really interesting to hear about your maintenance journey.

I am 9:8 this morning, so just a pound away from having lost four stones. Doesn’t seem real.

However, I am out to lunch today and then off for long weekend with boozy friends so I’m definitely going to gain!!

Have fun in the sun!!

mince3point14159265 · 10/07/2025 08:18

Just checking in after a fab few days away with friends in Cornwall, despite the crap weather last weekend (improved just as we had to leave! 🙄).
weighed myself on Friday at 11.10.6 before leaving which was an improvement, and have weighed myself this morning at 11.8.2, despite eating very well (no cream teas, the right way or wrong, but plenty of rosé instead!). Have decided that my scales were so frightened at being abandoned (usually an hourly a daily weigher) that they decided to behave themselves and start moving in the right direction. 😂
I think Polka’s scales need some time out on the naughty step, and a stern talking to before they’re allowed to come off it! Hope you’re starting to feel a bit better now @Polkadotdash🥰

I also cocked up by grabbing an old pen that still had a little bit in it instead of my current one, as we were in such a rush before leaving and wanted to leave my pen in the fridge until the last possible moment. Turned out only 5ml in there so have had a reduced dose accidentally this week. Doh! 🤦‍♀️

@Jins good luck with the bra developments; sounds like your boobs are a challenge to a measuring tape! I’m also with @myladyjane in the buxom wench role. 😫 Although they’re a bit more like saggy pillows now; very attractive, not!

The camper van sounds great @TicTac80. Sounds like you’re getting a great workout just driving the damn thing!

Well done on maintaining that whoosh @meatyryvita!

Love to you all x

DGonMJ · 10/07/2025 08:50

Great result @mince3point14159265 and @Zempy. Heading in the right direction @meatyryvita

Enjoy getting to know your new camper van @TicTac80 how are you feeling on the lower dose?

@myladyjane I’ve always had an up and down suppression through the week too. Usually low suppression on Thursday, Friday, high on the Saturday before my jab on Sunday. Low suppression on Sunday and Monday. High again on Tues, Weds.

Had a mid-week weigh in and I’m down to 59.5kg despite all the sugar cravings, so I’m definitely decreasing the dose to 3.75mg this weekend. I want to get back to over 60kg. Hopefully I’ll feel better by this weekend’s heavy weights session with my PT so some of that gain can be muscle!

Zempy · 10/07/2025 09:02

Thanks @meatyryvita it won’t be long before you hit that milestone.

One of the group I am travelling with is prone to passive aggressive comments about WLI/ my weight loss. She’s also significantly heavier than the rest of us, so that will be fun!

I am praying my Stoic philosophy and “let them” mentality, along with giving fewer fucks, will see me through.

Jins · 10/07/2025 09:29

So @TicTac80 wins the exciting update from me! We don’t have a campervan but we do have an old 2 berth caravan which normally travels far and wide between festivals and campsites but has only been out once this year so far. Must remedy that.

@Zempy. 4 stone! Amazing! Great losses @meatyryvita and @mince3point14159265 and hope you put the weight back on @DGonMJ 🤣

I was questioned for the first time last night about my weightloss and was asked if I’d done it by myself. Well that was easy - of course I have! That was followed by a rant about how awful WLI were so I said I’m all for anything that helps people to lose weight - also true. Back to how I’d done it and I said the only way I can lose weight successfully is to cut carbs and I’d cut them back as far as I could and was losing between 1 and 2lbs a week - also true. She’s an acquaintance rather than a friend but I see her quite often and feel no qualms about denying my MJ use.

Update on the half dose regime. It’s going well so far. Day 5 with jab tomorrow and no side effects at all, IBS back under control and slight downward turn in weight. Should be down to half a pound up tomorrow.

Despite now having a suitable piece of supportive underwear which is quite flattering when worn with one particular dress I’ve been going back to basics on why my measured size is so far out. It’s the dressmaker in me I guess. I have side set boobs sitting on a rather wonky ribcage. If you measure underbust in the recommended place I’m a snug 32 and a comfortable 34. If you measure 2cm lower it’s a snug 35 and a comfortable 37. Below that line I have a rib deformity on my right side but that should be below strap level. So a combination of wonky ribcage and a pair of very finely developed axillary tails of spence means that I’m probably going to have to spend a lot of money to buy a bra that fits properly. That’s not happening. Bralettes all the way!

2025istheyeari · 10/07/2025 09:34

Wow some fab losses and NSVs, congratulations to you all!
@Polkadotdash hope you feel better soon, take it easy.
enjoy the camper van @TicTac80, how exciting!

Writing this very quickly from holiday in Japan and sorry I have missed a lot of posts so sorry for missing things!!

Lots of walking and swimming here and still eating much less but omg so many carbs, I’m trying to avoid eating too many but every single meal comes with rice or noodles! We stayed at a hotel with breakfast and dinner of about 10 courses! I’m being careful but definitely eating more and having a few treats, hoping the exercise counteracts the extra calories!! It’s all beautifully presented and of course a LOT of fish!

Thelittlestranger · 10/07/2025 10:05

@0ncemorewithfee1ing my husband is in Tokyo right now - the food looks incredible!!

@Zempy fab loss, well done you!

@Jins boobs are frankly, just irritating. I'd be very happy without mine - although they were handy when my belly was bigger to distract.

Today I am officially going into maintenance. A week early, but I've always been impatient. WI today has me at 1/4lb off my goal (9stone) and I'm happy with where I am. I don't want to keep going lower. I'm 42lbs down from when I started - I have my buffer zone. So, I jabbed 6mg out of a 7.5mg pen. I'll do the bonus dose next week at the same level - have two weeks off over holiday and start on my 5mg pen.

Stats:
Start: 12st 3
Now: 9st (and a 1/4!)
I got to 7.5mg.

@TicTac80 very jealous of your camper. We have one in our future, for sure.

mince3point14159265 · 10/07/2025 11:05

Apologies @Zempy , I missed your post as I hadn't refreshed the app! Congrats on the loss, (almost) 4 stone is brilliant! 🤩

discov · 10/07/2025 11:11

Morning all!

I have just been lurking recently so have been reading all your updates but I’m on the app and struggle to type and look back at who has said what. So big well done to everyone who has lost/NSV-ing and is happy with progress. @Jins i am really pleased splitting doses has kept the side effects at bay. Also very jealous of the holiday folk. I’d love to take dd to Japan one day!

I have been bouncing up and down again the past couple of weeks but I have gotten extremely complacent with my diet and it hasn’t been great again. Both DH & I work full time, run a restaurant on top of that and then we have had the craziness of trying to navigate the final weeks of primary school with autistic DD, so it’s been a bit stressful and full on. We’ve been staying up way too late working so I’m just shattered all the time and cannot be bothered. I’ve been rubbish with meal planning and shopping. I think because I am so close to my goal too, I am just a bit ‘meh’ about losing weight now. Even though I want to lose another 10-ish lbs.

I’ve got another 7.5 pen arriving today but don’t know if I should have gone up to 10. But never mind. I just need a big kick up the arse to motivate me for this final stretch!!

RockyisMYRhino · 10/07/2025 12:37

Congrats to all on the losses and NSVs!! I’ve also been lurking a lot in this thread but been having a very tricky time bouncing around at just over 13 stone for about a month! It’s also possibly worth noting that I’m also having a tricky time with peri menopause symptoms and HRT which might be contributing to it. Have got a nurse appointment booked for next week to chat about it though.
Weigh in and jab today so stats below. Was extremely happy to discover a new stone bracket for the first time in about 5 years and also that the size 14 shorts I bought (very optimistically) last year no longer need to be squeezed into and I can actually look ok while wearing them out of the house!!!
Have also tried on a pair of size 12 denim shorts bought about 10 years ago at the lightest weight I can remember being and I can do them up. Can’t wear them out of the house as they are practically skin tight but don’t think I’m that far off 😁
SW: 15st 1lb
CW: 12st 13.4 lb
GW: 10st 7lb

MJalltheway · 10/07/2025 12:45

@discov consider yourself kicked! 🦵
you can do this, you are so close to goal!!!

@jins how weird, I also have a rib deformity (on my left side) which is why I can't wear underwired bras any more. I suspect it's from my last pregnancy.
Hope all the various holidays are going well!
Im struggling to get over this bug, have no energy whatsoever and a mucusy cough. Hoping I manage to get back to approaching normal in time for our holiday to Cornwall - leaving Saturday!

I haven't eaten much this week, I'm too tired to eat half the time. But am horrendously constipated after spending days in bed so doubt I will have much of a loss tomorrow!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Fullmoonwalker · 10/07/2025 13:28

delurks from Feb thread
Afternoon all. @DGonMJ had to come out of the shadows to say I'm tapering down and also have craved more coffee, am staying awake later and have whiter eyes. Funny set of side effect.

My eyes also aren't as dry which is a relief.

Hope you all keep doing well
