That all sounds fab @2025istheyeari. The loss, the holiday, the shot at the cool job. I hope you have a wonderful trip.

I had a sudden whoosh today!!

SW 13:7
CW: 9:11
GW: 9:4 ish

I can tell this final half stone is clinging to me desperately. I still have huge boobs and pockets of fat on my upper back and upper and lower stomach.

My throat and upper arms are a bit of a mess, but hopefully they will settle down. I can live with the arms but the throat may be something I decide to throw money at in a years time.

Another sunny day here in SE. Have a good one.

TomorrowPenny · 03/07/2025 07:42

👋 hello friends, I’m still reading, just not posting as I find using my phone absolutely painful (50 year old eyesight to be more accurate), I also get so few posts on a page it makes replying really difficult and I can’t remember more that two posts up!

Thank you for thinking of me. We’re away, I’m not calorie counting or weighing which feels a bit strange. I do seem to be walking 10+ miles a day when we’re not on a travelling day so hopefully that will help my cause. 🤞

I’ll be back losers 🤩.

MJalltheway · 03/07/2025 08:20

Nice to hear from you @TomorrowPenny ! I feel your pain with the eyesight! I had mine lasered in my 30s and have had perfect vision for 20 years but now I seem to need glasses for distance, glasses for reading, glasses for VDU work. I'm having a contact lens trial later today with multi focal lenses so will see how these go.

enjoy Japan @2025istheyeari and good luck for the interview!

Talking of upper arms, I used to do aerial yoga a couple of years back and randomly got a message from the instructor this morning so looked back at the photos she'd sent me of me in various poses. Well, my idea that all my weight was on my stomach was me well and truly kidding myself. My arms!!! Just fat all over really. looking like a beached whale caught in a fishing net 😭Definitely no intention of going back to that, whatever it takes to maintain.

another little loss this morning which is great. Feeling rubbish though, have a terrible sore throat 😖 hope it won't develop into much

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 03/07/2025 08:25

@2025istheyeari good luck and of course research has shown that thanks to MJ, your chances to get the job have significantly improved - weight discrimination is very much a thing.

My weight still hovering around 58-59 kilos. It's of course amazing, I never thought I would see 5 on the scale. But want to lose a few more kg and like @Zempy , those last kilost are really clinging on. Might go up with my dose a little bit though, am on 4 at the moment, so will take 5. Also going on holidays next week and while I am planning to do a lot of sports, there will certainly also be more eating.

Jins · 03/07/2025 08:38

@2025istheyeari enjoy your travels and I hope you smash the interview! Great to hear from @TomorrowPenny as well.

The clinging weight is a nuisance. I’m on a final push to get to first goal or thereabouts as I really need to reduce my dose. This week has been better but the sulphur burps are there and while I don’t have the runs, things aren’t right in that department. I did really well on 6.25mg when titrating up but that was nearly a stone ago and I wonder if it’s having more impact because I’m lighter.

NSV today as Renpho puts my metabolic age at 59. I’m sure that sounds horrific to most of you but I’m 61 so I’m delighted 🤣

BlueLimes · 03/07/2025 10:29

Yay great loss @meatyryvita also @2025istheyeari and lots of luck for the interview. So near to goal @Zempy

I do feel it’s slow now - I might go to go 15mg. Not much further for you? @HeidiNotSoHeavy

I joined an expensive gym - it makes me go as I like the swim, sauna, steam etc after a work out. Trying to justifying continuing. This along with the jabs means I’m spending a lot on me which I don’t normally (well I have a nice bag addiction). Also booked a pedi for the weekend.
Need to work on allowing myself to spend on me- DC I buy whatever they want in reason. Am sure I’m not alone with that !

mince3point14159265 · 03/07/2025 10:32

Fantastic losses @2025istheyeari @meatyryvita @Zempy and anyone else if I've missed you! Hope you have a great trip @2025istheyeari and another one wishing you best of luck for the interview 🤞

Nice Benjamin Button nsv there @Jins ! 😉

Enjoy the rest of your trip @TomorrowPenny , that's a lot of walking!

I am still firmly sitting on my plateau so I'm going to have to celebrate all your losses vicariously! 😁

mince3point14159265 · 03/07/2025 10:35

@BlueLimes bags you say? We need to talk! 🤣

BlueLimes · 03/07/2025 10:44

2025istheyeari · 03/07/2025 11:04

Thanks everyone, especially the good luck 🫣.
Can I join the bag addicts club 🤣
@TomorrowPenny lovely to hear from you, enjoy the rest of your holiday!

BlueLimes · 03/07/2025 11:43

Ooh yes @2025istheyeari are you saving for anything at the moment ?

Jins · 03/07/2025 12:32

I’m a recovered bag addict. Well not particularly recovered but I’ve weaned myself off the £££ ones and I’m into more affordable territory.

My more ridiculous purchases have been sold and I’m left with a vintage Mulberry shoulder bag, a slightly less vintage Mulberry drawstring bag and a Mulberry Phoebe which I bought second hand and restored myself. There’s an Aspinall laptop size bag about to go as I’ve never used it. I’m looking at a sea of Radley, Osprey and Rowallen and wondering why I only ever use one of them. When I’m feeling heartless I’ll have to have a cull.

Thelittlestranger · 03/07/2025 13:45

No bag addiction here - almost the complete opposite where I end up filling pockets with everything. I would quite like one though.

Loads of great losses and NSVs! Well done everyone!!

1.5lbs off this week for me - so 9st 1.5 (127.5lbs) on my 'old scales' and 9st 3 on the Renpho. 41.5lbs in total. Quite remarkable 😃 Now I feel like I want to see 8 stone, only because I haven't. I have two weeks until my holiday, which would give me a few lbs buffer while I'm away ...

I'm not actively trying to lose right now, and have my maintenance call next week where I'm going to discuss titrating down on my next pen. For those starting to maintain or think about it - are you going down in dose and sticking to every 7 days, or considering same strength but more days in between? Result ends up the same I guess...

BlueLimes · 03/07/2025 14:33

@Jins lovely bags, impressed you restored one.
amazing loss @Thelittlestranger

I’ve lots of formal bags I don’t use anymore, Keeping them for DD.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 03/07/2025 15:09

@Thelittlestranger it's a bit addictive, isnt' it. I went first that oh I'd like to get to 65 kilos..then 62..well, let's try 60..now I want 57

Jins · 03/07/2025 15:11

@BlueLimes before and after pics. The Phoebe was in pretty poor condition with bits falling off. It was fun repairing it but I’d not rush to do another

Very. My first goal was 10.5 stone. Then 10, then 9.5. Now I'm nearly 9 stone and I want to see an 8 at the start. Sensible me is very happy with where I am, so end of this pen I'm finding normality...(I promise!! 😜)

Also, I don't want to have to buy more clothes...I will have a winter wardrobe to buy as it is. Let alone buying another summer one.

BlueLimes · 03/07/2025 17:42

Looks amazing- you are super talented.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 03/07/2025 19:44

Oh god yes the shopping. Had some free time today, walked around in local John Lewis equivalent, everything was just.. meh. And I still don't know what size I am and what suits me. Online shopping also very annoying - I get that different brands measure differently, but if I follow your own size chart and then the item is about 2 sizes off?

tinyemmy · 03/07/2025 22:10

Catching up with everything, trying to read but struggle to post because by the time I get to the end I can't remember who I was supposed to reply to and the links aren't taking me to the last place I read from! Every now and again I write it all down, I guess that's what everyone else does?

@Polkadotdash I hope you're ok

@meatyryvita I agree craziness that now we are the ones people are reading about to decide whether to go for it. Mj was the best decision I made for myself!

@MJalltheway the way well done on the green. I've given up but hoping eventually I can gain muscle to improve my subcutaneous fat! I hope you feel better soon!

@2025istheyeari congratulations on the interview. Fingers crossed for you!! Go smash it. Nothing is holding you back now. Incredible weight loss!

@DGonMJ I hear you I am not sure I'm having proper meals but I'm having a lot of protein yoghurts and hifi bars. I need to eat proper food! Not really sure where to start as I don't want to gain and for the last 6 months lunch has been yoghurt and hifi bars, so now I'm just adding a few more 🙈 I will make a plan this weekend and follow it. The struggle is I'd planned protein wrap pizza but it takes too long to make when I can just grab a yoghurt (that's just an excuse but I think I need to start with something more grab and go and work towards things that require effort to make) suggestions welcome!!

Congratulations on the whoosh @Zempy

@TomorrowPenny good to hear from you, enjoy the holiday!

@HeidiNotSoHeavy I'm maintaining but wanted to lose 2 more pounds, it just doesn't want to happen but I also never thought I'd see this number on the scales so I'm not too bothered but it's definitely addictive! My jeans that were always my "I must slim into" jeans are loose, I'd say not too loose but I don't need to lose any more weight despite what my brain is telling me!

Congratulations on the age reduction @Jins and impressive bag restoration!

@BlueLimes spending money on you is an investment

@mince3point14159265 hopefully the plateau passes soon

@Thelittlestranger congratulations on getting to your goal. I'm jabbing 2.5 every week (I only went up to 5). Right now I definitely wouldn't want to increase number of days, personally I like sticking to 7 days I think any longer there would be too much suppression at the start and not enough at the end. I'm going to stay on 2.5 for a while and if weight is stable I might slowly start to drop down.

Hopefully I got everyone I must admit it was nice to comment on everyone and didn't take that much extra effort to write it all down so I will make more effort going forwards!

Looking forward to the weekend. Hopefully the scales are down and I can have some treats at the weekend. I need to figure out a better plan. I'm currently weighing daily and adjusting daily. I need to trust myself a bit more and try and extend it out a bit.

MJalltheway · 04/07/2025 06:55

Good work @tinyemmy , I think you got everyone! I wouldn't worry too much if you miss people though, I don't think it should feel like a work task to reply. It moves fast and there's a lot of us!

a couple of people have congratulated me on getting green stats - that's not me sadly, I've still got a long way to go. I had a read back, it's @Thelittlestranger, so congrats on getting all green!!

Weigh in today, and jab 24.
SW 101kg
CW 81.8kg
GW 70kg
Loss this week 0.7kg and 3 stone loss milestone reached ✅

Still feeling quite rubbish but it hasn't got worse so that's something. Off to London today for the royal Albert hall concert so not the best timing.

school breaks up today for us, and my plans for the long holiday mostly involve doing as much exercise as I can fit in 😂

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 04/07/2025 08:43

@MJalltheway same here, both for schools and holiday plans.
We're going to a French campsite next week - they are just so brilliant with pre-teens and teens (and no tents, luxury air conditioned 2 bedroom chalet, so will be fine even if we get a heatwave).
Already warned DH that I've checked the activities, there will be 9 o'clock fitness class, 10.15 aquagym, then regulat gym, then 5 o'clock fitness and then pre-dinner dance class :D

Jins · 04/07/2025 09:55

Jab 25 weigh in and I’m down 0.8lbs to 9st 1.8. BMI 22.6. First goal is within sight!

I’m due to jab on Sunday and I’m going to try half doses every 5 days as I considered but didn’t do last week. I’ve had a week of mild side effects and while I thought I could push through for this pen I’m just feeling miserable about it all. I was ok on hols when I skipped a dose and my estimated MJ levels were between 3.5 and 4.7 so I’m hoping that is still the same.

I want to get back to my IBS being ‘cured’ more than I want to lose any more weight so slow titration it is.

edit: Thanks for the lovely comments about my bag restoration. It’s not that difficult it just takes time (and leather needles and awls) and time is something I have nowadays. I’m trying to fill my retirement with holidays, days out and creativity 🤣
