@Fffreeeeezing lactulose was the only thing that helped me after not being able to go once gave birth

UsernameShmusername2024 · 27/06/2025 14:09

@Fffreeeeezing My HBAC1 reading in April last year put me just into the prediabetic range. Until starting MJ in Feb this year the main changes I'd made was to switch refines carbs for wholegrain. I had a follow up a few weeks ago and it's gone right down so I'm no longer prediabetic - you are doing the right thing already by being on MJ plus losing weight so I would just keep doing what you're doing! And sure you'll be out of range this time next year

Rockfordpeach · 27/06/2025 15:00

Hello! I havent posted in awhile but glad to see people doing so well. Ive just finished my third week and ive lost 9lbs in total which im pleased with. I have a diagnosed binge eating disorder and im trying to use MJ to train myself into regular eating. I read somewhere that the most successful people on MJ use the mantra, keep it simple keep ot repetitive so ive been trying to eat the same few things to stop myself obsessing and it seems to be working.

2.5mg is definitely still working well for me so I've decided to stick to it for another month. I go to Cornwall for 5 days this weekend, im planning to take my jab and see how it goes. Ill be happy with a maintain

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 27/06/2025 15:21

That's all very positive @Rockfordpeach keep at it!

Can I just say, chaps, that we most definitely do need the 'laughter' button adding back on. You are hilarious! This thread is amazing, and it's so nice to have a giggle as well as the odd cry.

Has anyone who’s further along experienced loose skin? And has it had any impact on your life. I couldn’t care less about what my stomach looks like after stretch marks, c-section and 5 surgeries but I would be a bit self conscious if my arms had obvious loose skin. I’ve never, ever had my arms out so that’s one thing I really can’t wait to do once I feel confident enough. I’m short so have short limbs and my arms have always been really big. Will loose skin be inevitable after such a big loss? (half my body weight!).

Sadly yes. I’ve lost just over 6s (shouldn’t tech be on this thread) but I got on previous one due to someone wanting my list of weights and it came up as top of list

and I like to read and encourage

I have wrinkly stomach and top of legs - but worst bit is either boobs or my bingo wings / so bad

if I was rich I would have arms slices and cut off excess skin and sewn up

boobs. / the saying of Spaniel's ears now make sense

I used to have lovely boobs and now don’t

it will be very hard to be naked in front a new man as and when (split with dh last year) and wow is he pissed I’ve lost weight now not with him !!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 27/06/2025 17:10

Hey @Blondeshavemorefun you're entitled to be here! Didn't you start off with 10st to lose?

I did, and I was over 20st when I started. I've lost 7st 9lb now.

I think I've lost my marbles.

I went out today to post my eBay parcels in a pair of WHITE Linen shorts. I never wear white, overweight people have to wear black. And shorts! Not elasticated waist , buttons and a zip no less. It's just so weird. I completed the outfit with Primark uggs, size 3 my feet have shrunk so much and a jaunty nautical stripe jumper. My legs skin is rather crepey but I didn't give a stuff. You guys are so inspiring with your NSVs I had to have one. I have my verification call with oushk tomorrow morning. Are you all having to do them now? Apparently it's compulsory from July 1st.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/06/2025 17:11

I’m on the app so can only give thanks. So if you got one from me it also means a 💓 or a 🥰 depending on context of post

Any man will be lucky to have you naked in front of him @Blondeshavemorefun ! Seriously! My DH has fancied me at 10 stone and at nearly 22 stone.

Same here!

I'm 68 and my DH has always fancied me, when I've been 10st and when I've been 21st.

He currently fancies me at 12st 8lb.

I feel normal now. It seems mad that I should have to lose another 2st 8lb to satisfy the BMI calculator.

Mind you, I've just taken this photo of myself, so maybe I'm over optimistic.
🤣🤣🤣

Daylight !!!

I spy a gap inbetween your thighs

I was so chuffed when I finally saw one on me

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/06/2025 17:59

GnomeDePlume · 26/06/2025 12:36

I'm probably extra cautious around medicines and fruit. I take warfarin for a blood clotting disorder and warfarin effectiveness is affected by pretty much everything.

Edited

Esp broccoli

that sent mine sky high and had to avoid as really effected my count

I'm just testing the name change theory. I'm a regular poster, but have created another account under a different username, and it seems to have worked. So be careful folks, it's quite possible our resident troll is back

Really ?
This shouldnt be possible ..,,,,

TragicMuse · 27/06/2025 18:16

Isn’t there a difference between a different account and a name change though? I have two accounts - one I created to use on a thread about parenting teens which I didn’t want linked to my other stuff about my resident youth.

I’m not a sock-puppet, promise!!

Billybingbong · 27/06/2025 18:40

Notimefortrolls is me. I set up a new account with an old email address, just to test if it was possible for our resident troll to post under different names. Turns out it is 🙂

Iwouldratherbesinging · 27/06/2025 19:34

We’ve just stopped for a break after being on the road since 10am (well it’s our third break, have about another two hours to go), and I think I have lost valuable padding off of my arse, it was always non existent before (I did say once that I’m designed backwards and if my stomach was my arse I’d look more normal) but it’s so painful!! I’ve had to pop some pain killers. We do this journey every year and it’s never affected me before 😭 Are memory foam pants a thing? Asking for a friend….

Billybingbong · 27/06/2025 19:40

Wow, that's one helluva journey you're doing, maybe take a cushion next time to protect your derrière. You may have spotted a gap in the market for the WLI community, memory foam undies 🤣🤣

Hi @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne no. I was 17.4 and now 11 so lost 6.4 but I am at top end of bmi with 24.5

but if I was to get to 20 bmi that’s another 2+ stone so around 9st in total to have lost

but I’m never going to get to 9s as I would bloody awful at that weight At my height

Thanks @Motnight

need to find a man first lol

your dh loves you for you no matter your weight

to find a new one and show him my saggy bits will be very hard

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/06/2025 20:35

That makes sense @TragicMuse and @Billybingbong. So new email. Not just 2nd name on same email

sorry for lots of posts but I can’t seem to reply to all in one go

I’m really worried. I had blood tests this week as part of an over-40s health check (the joys) and I’ve had a message saying the GP wants to see me next week.

Terrified I’ve done something irreversible to myself with years of over-eating, eating the wrong thing, drinking too much (now sober), or that something’s wrong that isn’t as serious but maybe means I won’t be able to take MJ anymore Sad

I had blood tests two years ago and they were fine.

I'm the WORST at following my own advice, as I'm always convinced I'm dying, but if they want to see you next week it isn't going to be anything urgent. I had the can you make an appointment message with my 40+ MOT and mine was some vitamin deficiencies and what looked like dehydrated kidneys but only because it was in the morning and I'd not had anything to drink yet.
In contrast when I first had a pulmonary embolism the call re those blood test started with don't worry but how close to a hospital are you, could you go to a&e now.

Thank you for this kind comment! I’ve re-read the message and it says to book a routine appointment next week so it can’t be anything that’s going to kill me over the weekend, can it?

Also I’m so sorry that happened to you, how scary!
