4lb off this week! I’m thrilled because I have now lost SEVEN STONE since my heaviest (a stone since starting MJ) and am into the next stone bracket!

One little pound to go for a 100lb loss. Unfortunately I still have over 100lb to go Grin But I’m on the right thread for that!

Congrats to everyone on their losses and NSVs, glad normal service has been resumed.

Billybingbong · 27/06/2025 07:54

Wow @afaloren that's bloody amazing, huge well done. You must be on cloud nine. I love reading about these huge losses, its the one thing that makes me believe it's achievable for us all

Fffreeeeezing · 27/06/2025 07:58

I will sadly need to tender my resignation for the 3st 3 club.
WI 15 today and another 3lb loss taking me to a 3st 6 loss.

My mum is the only one that knows about the MJ and she's pretty much given up asking me how I've done on my Friday WI, apparently my answers are boring now and the answer is nearly always 3 ( 6,6,2,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,2,2,3,3) 😅

I've got 2 x 7.5mg doses left (including the 'bonus') and I've decided to stick to the 7.5 for another month as apart from a bit of constipation I'm seem to be doing okay on this dose.

Good luck/ well done to all the other Friday weighers!

Doggymummar · 27/06/2025 08:18

I think we need to be vigilant of new people, and that's a shame. I recognised her/him straightaway. She had a post yesterday garnering sympathy saying people were following her around Mumsnet bullying her and how could she block certain people( you can't) . I think there are some issues at play. Very disappointing to be honest. It's worth checking people's posting history, on the post they were complaining of being bullied on it was their first post! So it was clearly untrue and attention seeking behaviour. So proud of you all keeping calm and polite with it all.

Billybingbong · 27/06/2025 08:18

@Fffreeeeezing well done, 3lb each week is amazing. I seem to be quite consistent too, 2lb every week appears to be my norm. It's my weigh day today, as soon as the teenagers allow me in the bathroom 🙄, so we'll see if the trend continues

WeAllHaveWings · 27/06/2025 08:28

PinkArt · 26/06/2025 23:12

I'm deeply suspicious about the motivation of someone who chooses this thread specifically to troll, which makes me very protective of it and of you guys.
Fuck it, if she does come back we can just sit on her and crush her 😂

Missed the obvious ruckus last night, but got to say, love this 💗🤣

Well done all of you for admirably defending your safe space yet again! 💪

Your focus on each of your journeys to better health and the way you lift each other up is what makes this group so powerful. Disruptions may come and go, but your support for one another and your shared determination will always win out.

Happy Friday! 🤩

Billybingbong · 27/06/2025 08:47

Week 12 weigh in, and another 2lb off. Total loss so far 2st 10lb, that 3st is edging closer.

SW 22st 8lb
CW 19st 12lb
GW 11st 4lb

It's been another up and down week with the supression and food noise. I'm still being 100%, and getting the results, but it's taken a bit more willpower than usual, so I've decided I definitely moving up to 7.5 for my next pen.

We're away tomorrow for the week, so next week will be interesting. Food wise it should be fine, but the lack of routine always throws me. We are planning on lots of walking though, so it will be interesting to see what the scales say next weigh day

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 27/06/2025 09:15

@Weightlossprincess Now you mention it.... I'm reacting more to bites than I usually do!!! must be the mounjaro...

@GnomeDePlume Oooh that is interesting. I feel the need to read more about this now! And yes hadn't thought of the disinhibition for us too - yes in real life we could well not be this open with each other!

@afaloren 7 stone is truly incredible - well done!!!

I've weight in at about a half pound loss this week. I want to be losing 3lb a week..... but I am already eating quite little in general. However the last 2 days I have just had the munchies like nomans business. I think it was in relation to a different drug so hope I am back to normal now. I am still Not Obese which is good but the 2lb loss it looked like I'd loss earlier in the week isn't registering.

Im hoping my body is just having a funny moment because I ate more than usual for 2 days. Objectively those 2 days wouldn't even have been a "normal" day 6 months ago or even a lot of food really - just more than my normal mounjaro amounts.

Bilbette · 27/06/2025 09:49

I thought I’d pop out of the woodwork to say how calm everyone has been when dealing with trolls and how lovely it is to see how protective people are of this thread

we all have our own demons to deal with and the support in here is so immense, it actually makes me feel a bit teary

i have my own little victory to announce, for probably the first time in 20 years since putting weight back on after my daughter was born I am under 20 stone - I am officially in the teens at 19stone 13lbs and it feels fantastic

still a long way to go but I know if I keep on reading here and being inspired by all your success stories I can do it

thank you everyone

PearlsPearl · 27/06/2025 10:23

Hi everyone, I'm buzzing today because I did my month 1 weigh in... and I've lost 1 stone 6lb!

So that's 4.1 stone loss since I started my journey in Sep.

SW: 22.3
SW on MJ: 19.7
CW: 18.1

1 more little pound and I'll be in the 17s which feels WILD to me!

The insomnia is doing my head in as I'm usually the best sleeper ever. I seem to see every hour. I take 10mg of melatonin a night too which usually knocks me right out, but now I start waking about 2ish and don't really go back into a proper sleep after that.

Also, the constipation lead to me almost shitting myself in Tesco last night, so that was fun 😖

I'd take the side effects anyday but both of them can fuck right off today as I'm tired and embarrassed after last night! I probably weigh a stone less now mind you 😄

PearlsPearl · 27/06/2025 10:24

I've caught up on all the posts and read not to eat bananas or take too much fibre for the constipation? Google is confusing me. The pharmacist recommended fibre supplements so I take 2 a day - should I stop? And I have a banana for breakfast every day, again should I stop?

All help appreciated! <3

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 27/06/2025 10:26

I opened this thread with some trepidation this morning, thinking that the person might have returned, but she hasn't. I did recognise her straightaway last night, and gave her some very non-committal answers while MNHQ were checking her out.

Anyway, everyone, we did the right thing. She's gone, for now - but I think she'll be back. She seems very determined.

I recall that her very first post, days ago, was to berate us for choosing not to tell people that we were on MJ.

Well, I'm still not telling people. Just my family, and that's it.

Well done to you all for reporting the troll. I don't understand why she's doing it but as long as we can report her, that's what we should do.

Eat bananas if you like them! Not loads, but the odd one here and there is fine.

If you're constipated, I suggest that you take the occasional dose of senna to get things back on track.

I've never had much success with fibre supplements but perhaps I'm taking the wrong dose.

(BTW @PearlsPearl it was the troll who told us not to eat bananas, so pay no need!)

Everyone is different. What works for one person won't work for another.

Ooh and I'm down another 1lb.

So now I weigh 12st 8lb.

My NSV is that I put on a nightdress last night that I haven't worn for ages, and it's loose around the tops of my arms. It's a lovely feeling. I've always hated the tops of my arms and felt self-conscious about them, but they're almost looking normal now.

Yaaaaaay!!!!

Week 19 weigh in this morning - I lost 3.5lbs which takes my total loss to 63lbs! I've been thinking about how many years I've spent fantasising about losing weight easily and quickly (I know quick isn't the best way, but in my daydreams I wake up 12 st lighter!) and it feels like MJ has finally made the dream - almost - a reality! I was a bit despondent earlier in the week because some photos with friends made me realise how far I've still got to go despite losing 4.5st but trying to focus on the positives. My next goal is to get into the teens 😀

I just had an almond croissant and coffee while out - previously I'd have loved it I'm sure but I found it so greasy, only managed half and feel really sick now! Lesson learnt - will stick to my Greek yogurt and chia seeds from now on!

Onwards and downwards everyone, have a lovely weekend.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 27/06/2025 10:48

That's a brilliant loss @UsernameShmusername2024

Well done!

I remember some months ago, when I was 14st 2lb, imagining myself to be REALLY THIN. After all, I had lost 6st at that point, which was unimaginable.

Then I saw some pictures on the village FB page, and came back to earth with a bump.

Damn! I was still fat! Not as fat as I'd been in the past, but I didn't look like Twiggy, either. 🤣

Anyway, there's no real point to this post but I'm just encouraging you all to carry on. I recall thinking, "oh well, it'll happen - it'll be a few months more, that's all".

That mindset was new to me. I'd have given up in the past but MJ gave me the confidence to know that the weight would continue to come off.

SilenceInside · 27/06/2025 11:17

Posted this on my original July 2024 thread, but also wanted to post it here too.

Week 51 weigh in.

SW: 139kg (21st 12 lbs)
CW: 83.4kg (13st 1lbs), was 83.2kg (13st 1lbs), last week.
GW: 81kg (12st 11 lbs) fifth interim goal

Current pen: 10mg, 7 weeks on this dose.

Oh, so annoying to have a 200g "gain" although I will view it as staying the same, which is as equally annoying as a small gain. Will I ever break through the 13st and the 30 BMI barrier?!? Currently my body doesn't seem to want to. 😡

I will cling to NSVs this week. Ran for 30 mins non-stop this week, which seems incredible considering I was finding it a challenge to run for 3 minutes when I first started C25K. Also sat through sports day in full sun on a tiny primary school chair without worrying about breaking the chair, and wasn't a hot sweaty mess! Last year I actually googled the make of chair and checked the maximum weight capacity😬

PinkArt · 27/06/2025 11:30

Finally hit a this group will get it milestone this week - my visceral fat is down to just high, from excess 🥳
It was 23 when I started and 15 today. 11 will see me in the healthy range.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 27/06/2025 11:32

Some amazing and inspiring weight losses/NSV this week! As a relative newbie (8 weeks in) I have found this thread so supportive and a refuge when some of those on the May thread are already heading towards maintenance (which of course is amazing but a distant dream for me!)

So I am up to 1.5 stone loss in my 8 weeks and have lost all the weight I put on whilst immobile after my ankle fracture / surgery/stuck in bed horror of the last few months. I have also made it under 45 BMI and into a new ‘class’ which feels like a milestone but not one I’d mention outside of here!

In NSV I am finally more mobile and can walk for a decent time without needing to rest my aching back/hips and have so much more energy, feeling good today!

Lds1 · 27/06/2025 12:23

I know what you mean about the pictures. I took some of myself where I thought I looked a lot better, obviously I got good angles. I have later seen myself in the background of someone else's photo and I still look massive 😔 will I ever look 'thin' in photos that I don't have control over!?

TragicMuse · 27/06/2025 12:36

Just catching up!

I do like how we basically don’t really respond to the visitor other than with courtesy and politeness! We don’t give them the reaction they’re looking for anyway.

I’m not feeling 100% after last night’s hot dog shenanigans. Just a bit yucky. And not hungry. I ate some avocado for breakfast and have just had a nectarine but I don’t really fancy anything else. There’s nothing I want or that tempts me. And I hadn’t gained this morning so that’s a positive.

MJ not hungry really is a whole different kind of not hungry isn’t it?…

Motnight · 27/06/2025 12:42

Loving all the weight loss and NSVs today! I haven't lost any weight this week, but genuinely think that I am retaining water due to the heat. My fingers were so puffed up yesterday I didn't dare put on my rings - one of which falls off with another on top usually!

Fffreeeeezing · 27/06/2025 13:57

I went to see my GP this morning for a follow up appointment and she went through all my blood test results, all were good except my Hba1c and she used the scary words prediabetes and offered me some kind of diabetic education course thingy 😬. Never had an issue with any past blood tests.

I refused the 'education' on the basis that I exercise and I track everything I eat and track my macros, prioritising protein. I just can't imagine what else they could educate me about.
They'll test again in a year (so they can't be that concerned?!) and I assume the thinner I get the better my blood sugar will get better?

Only I could be on MJ for 3 months and then become prediabetic!
