@CoolLimeSheep yes I had this last time. My online pharmacy doctor advised me to reduce to 2.5 from 5 because I was getting a lot of nausea, vomiting and appetite suppression on 5mg but when I ordered I had the same request. I sent an email back to the doctor saying I didn’t understand why I was being asked to do it again and they allowed me to order without all that hassle. At the time I thought it was a mistake as they might have thought I was a newbie ordering 1st dose. I wonder if regulations have tightened and they are being super vigilant, either that or your supplier does a check after so many weeks perhaps!

CoolLimeSheep · 15/07/2025 10:33

Thanks everyone I rang them. They said meant check every 6 months. They've issued it now @Seventyandcounting ive had go down to 7.5mg the nausea of 10 mg is awful been like this since Sunday. Was hoping come off mounjaro next month but not sure if I'll be able to yet still 1 stone 12 to go if I defo want go to 10.5 but im going keep reassessing every half a stone

Seventyandcounting · 15/07/2025 10:53

@CoolLimeSheep i need to lose at least another stone, aiming for 9.7 (10.10 now) but am only losing 1/2 lb per week on 2.5 so it’s taking a lot longer than I’d hoped. Calorie intake is 800-1000 so need to look at more exercise although I always feel exhausted so not sure if I can do enough to make a difference. So much easier when your younger though I’m lighter now than I was 40 years ago so that’s a positive if I can maintain it!

Have you had any blood tests to check if it could be b12. I got put on b12 injections 3 months ago as I was always tired. Swimming is good if you would like do that. Well done tho your doing amazing that's a big achievement

mumandgran24 · 15/07/2025 19:28

Had a NSV even though I seem to be having a bit of a plateau after losing 3 stone in 5 months. Went to buy some clothing and for the first time in years fit into a medium T-shirt instead of large. Tried on some 16 shorts and they went on but still felt a bit tight over the stomach so got 18. Another top was 16 and fit perfectly.

Given that I started the year in 20-22 sizes I am taking it as a win.

usedtobeaylis · 15/07/2025 20:30

I caught side of myself side-on in the mirror today and HOLY SHIT I've lost some amount of fat off my back and shoulders.

However HOLY SHIT my backside is also suddenly flat as a pancake 😂 a deflated sad little pancake 😂

sweetpickle2 · 15/07/2025 20:31

What supplements are people taking for hair loss? Feels like I’m going to go bald every time I take a shower 😂

I've been trying to work out what to take but I can't settle on anything because it could basically be anything from needing biotin to needing more iron. I've been taking collagen for a while and I've noticed a benefit to my nails tbh but nothing on my hair. I don't think you can stop it with supplements. I've also lost so much hair and am still losing so much daily that I feel sick every time I wash it. I don't know how I have any left at this point. But I do have a couple of things that have helped with the appearance of my now very fine hair - OGX biotin and collagen shampoo, and Pantene Perfect Volume mousse. It's still thin but looks a bit healthier.

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 16/07/2025 07:22

My GP has just prescribed a 10mg pen although I was happy on 7.5. I might just take 7.5 from it. My BMI is 23.3 so I don't think I need to go up, on the other hand some of the suppression is wearing off after 4 days and I don't want to start snacking etc.

Last night I got back from my circuit training class and scoffed a bag of crisps without thinking because I was hungry. That's the sort of behaviour that led me to T2 Diabetes in the first place.

Probablyawake · 17/07/2025 06:05

Haven't updated for a while, good to see everyone's progress.

SW 23stone 2
CW 19 stone 😆
GW not sure

Still got a long way to go but now a size 18 from 24. Have bought many new clothes as everything was hanging off! Have donated my bigger clothes - I am not going back there!

Currently on 3rd 7.5 pen and will be staying on that as losing 2-3lb a week. Not had to track cals as yet, but generally intermittent fasting. Feel great although people are noticing and I don't want comments as don't like the thought of people looking at me 🙈

People asking about apps to forecast. I have a spreadsheet that does it all for me 😃 I find it really helpful.

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 17/07/2025 08:01

@Probablyawake that's great progress. Well done

mumandgran24 · 17/07/2025 08:57

So hubby took the girls shopping yesterday, doing his Dad is the chauffeur who also pays at the till job for teenage girls lol. As we are on holiday in August and they needed or maybe just wanted some clothing to take with them.

I had been shopping earlier in the week and could get some size 16 shorts on but they felt a bit clingy across my stomach still so went for the 18 that were looser. Hubby spotted a couple of bits on sale for himself and a set of jeans in a 16 that were just £3 lol He gave them to me saying if they don't fit just yet I know you are still on the MJ so they will come in or for £3 we can give them to the charity shop

I thought no way will they fit Tried them on this morning and the fit like a glove genuinely shocked Not been in a 16 for a good 20 years so defo a NSV.

WoolerOwl · 17/07/2025 10:37

Jab 21 just taken. I will have to decide next week whether to move up to 10mg or stay on 7.5mg. I guess I may have to wait until I weigh next week (trying to stick to monthly weighing and not get obsessed!) to know if my rate of loss has slowed. 7.5 has been good for me with few side effects, though my main one was feeling freezing cold and in this weather I neither notice nor care if I am a little on the cool side. At last weigh in, I had 9kg to go to goal weight of 69kg.

Any thoughts from those who have moved up or decided to stay with a lower dose?

sweetpickle2 · 17/07/2025 10:43

Ordered my new pen- decided I'm going to go up and microdose. Tried to go straight up to 15mg but they won't let me from 7.5mg (fair as they don't know I'll be microdosing it!) so I'm going up to 10mg for now and will go up to 15mg next time.

madroid · 18/07/2025 00:53

@WoolerOwl my thoughts are if it's still doing the job and you're losing then stay at the lowest dose - to allow room to go higher if you need it later (altho I've got a very long journey to go on at just 1lb every week or so). You might want faster losses?

CoolLimeSheep · 18/07/2025 07:39

@WoolerOwl ive got 1 more dose of 10 mg but gone back down to 7.5mg when ive had last dose of 10mg for me 10mg is far too high and nausea is pretty bad so I tried the 10mg but it's not for me right now.
The nurse at the docs did give me some advise a while a go and said if your still losing on what dose your on don't go up not that I listened lol 😆

Ke11 · 18/07/2025 08:25

Morning all, just checking in again

Sw 116.5kg
Cw 84.1kg
Loss this week 1.6kg
Total loss so far 32.4kg or 5 stone!

Still doing well on 10mg, the effect is very strong but I think for me I still mentally need the strong reminder not to overeat.

I'm definitely adjusting though, I went out for brunch on Sunday, ordered eggs Benedict, ate half (one egg etc) didn't think I felt full but more that I'd had enough and stopped there while everyone was still eating. Didn't spiral and make myself full because of the cost etc. I didnt even think about it til the evening, just naturally stopped eating.

Have ordered 10mg for my next pen too, definitely think I'll be here for a while, also thinking 7.5 could be my maintenance dose when I get there.

SpiralSister · 18/07/2025 09:33

Morning lovelies! Really useful to read the debate around 7.5 v 10.

I will finish my 2nd 7.5mg on Sunday and I think I’m going up to 10mg next week. It’s consistently only been 1lb per week on this pen, with zero side effects. I think I’ve not changed my eating habits, but find a bit of food noise creeping back. Have also upped exercise. Plus, of course, I’m nearly 3.5 stone lighter now, so need fewer calories!

So hope that 10mg will help with that..

usedtobeaylis · 18/07/2025 10:16

Because of the hair loss I'm so reluctant to move up to 10mg but I have undoubtedly stalled on 7.5mg. Had this happened to anyone and they've broke through the stall without moving up a dose?

Also does anyone still have issues with their injection sites? I'm still jagging in my thighs and I've often had red welt looking sites or massive bruises but at the moment I seem to have the 'welts' along with the site itching as well now all week. Its not a massive problem and easy to not scratch but the fact it's suddenly itchy for the whole week I find strange.

WoolerOwl · 18/07/2025 10:25

@usedtobeaylis I get a little itchy rash around the injection site sometimes. If I take an antihistamine (fexofenadine) it goes away immediately. The pharmacist recommended it.

CoolLimeSheep · 18/07/2025 11:33

@usedtobeaylis ive been very slow losing now for a while but I just keep thinking I will because ive lost 7 stone 5. I didn't jab last week and thought I'd maintained then day 7 jabbed again next day I'd lost 2lb but I walked a hell of alot the week I didn't jab well over 144000 steps so think that helped. Ive been doing samsung health challenges recently think that helped and aqaufit and swimming.
Hope that helps

Slight dilemma- just got an email saying my latest pen is being delivered tomorrow, but I’m going away for the night and leaving at 8am so I won’t be here. Do I-

  • let them attempt to deliver it and leave it by the back door then it’ll be outside until Sunday evening
  • rearrange delivery for Monday, when it’ll be kept somewhere not refrigerated at the sorting office anyway

What to do??

CoolLimeSheep · 19/07/2025 07:21

@sweetpickle2 could a neighbour take it in? Or maybe sorting office would have a fridge so can deliver monday 🤔

On another note on my way to climb snowdon this morning scared and excited 😊
Hope everyone has a good weekend

SpiralSister · 19/07/2025 07:31

Morning lovelies! Sorry, @sweetpickle2 only just seen your post - what did you do in the end? Were you going to use the pen straight away?

Weigh in day for me. Only lost 6lbs in 4 weeks, bit on the slow side, given how much I still have to lose (another 1.5 stone?), so will definitely be ordering 10mg later. Just got to do the fat photos first!

SW: 15.5
CW: 11.13
TW: 10.5

In the 11’s, finally! 🏆 I was in my early 30’s last time this happened. I am now late 50’s. This really is a miracle drug for me..

Now wearing size 14, with some 12’s. Increasing comments of not getting any thinner from friends and, let’s say, observers!

Warriors, I am not thin. At 5.5 and just under 12 stone, how could I be?! What they mean is that I am thin compared to fat me. The me they know, and are comfortable with. Well, suck it up, buttercup, because I’m not done yet!

NSV: Wore a 36E bra, full lace and thin straps. Looked great, completely comfortable. It is so much easier to dress without the massive norks of yore!

Have a great weekend all 💐

SpiralSister · 19/07/2025 07:31

Bloody hell, @CoolLimeSheep that’s amazing! You rock!
