So much support and encouragement on here. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s continued achievements and NSVs.

Congratulations to everyone who has reached their goal and starting maintenance, and all the warriors still trekking on.

I still have a couple of stone to go. Feeling motivated and ready to go!

We can do this!

@PurpleCoo I love how organised your freezer is. Mine does not look like that!

Uploading another progress photo. Didn't think much had changed but I'm definitely shrinking!

Agh, waist/hip ratio still terrible here too. And my BMI is now in the 22s! Every time my waist has shrunk, my hips have also shrunk, so the ratio has stayed the same! It’s still .86 and has been ever since I was in the overweight range. I don’t know how I’m expected to ever correct that? Do I just need to lose even more weight?!

skyscrapersinging · 30/06/2025 09:03

Week 21 for me
SW 89.2kg (14st 1) BMI 28.5
CW 71.1kg (11st 3) BMI 22.7
GW 69.2kg (10st 13) BMI 22.1

Have hit both 18kg and 40lb weight loss overnight, hooray! It seems like I’ve entered a period of almost “natural” maintenance. I’m not really losing very much now, maybe 100-300g a week. Definitely slowing down as I get closer to my goal weight. Trying to think more about eating well and doing that weight training that all us meno ladies need to do, aiming to improve my muscle tone and bone density and get fitter from now on.

Have a good week all, wishing you a happier and healthier summer than last year!

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 30/06/2025 09:50

Good morning you lovely lot!

Just got home from 10 nights all inclusive holiday. It's been lovely catching up with the thread and seeing how you're all doing.

Before I went away I'd hit a 3 and half stone loss. I was still on 5mg at the time however I knew I couldn't take my pen with me (DH still doesn't know) so I upped to 7.5mg.

Had my official weigh in today and I've put 3lb on! I'm more than happy with that as I'd eaten and drank whatever I wanted but if course just in smaller portions. We did do quite a bit of walking too which definitely helped. I've decided to stay on 7.5mg, I used a needle to get the clotted amount from my 5mg pen. It does mean I'll only get 4 weeks instead of 5 but I'm hoping for a loss as I'd maintained for a couple of weeks before and I was starting to snack a bit more.

NSV- photos! I had lots and lots of family photos. Normally I take them and not be in them. Not this holiday! We even had some professional ones took with me in a tie up top and you can see my midrift. Unheard of.

Back on the water uptake today and back to nutracheck.

Have a wonderful week everyone 💗

Good morning everyone

A new week and one week away from my 4 day mini holiday.

Big holiday is September and I would like to be 10lbs less by then.

Next goal is to get under 200lbs.

45 Ibs loss in total since 27 February

Taking 3.75 ml currently and two weeks in on that, cannot tolerate even the slightest bit of grease or I end up on the loo all night, sorry TMI!

Really looking forward to my holiday, funnily enough not the food but walking on the beach early morning by myself

Such a strange feeling not to be planning my restaurants in advance, will take my jab as usual and hopefully enjoy it just as much

Have a fab week everyone

sweetpickle2 · 30/06/2025 10:08

Jab/weigh day for me-

SW 107.8kg
CW 85kg

I've not been 85kg since I was about 19, I can't believe it. BMI now 26.4, down from 34 whenI started! Really a wonder jab.

Have fab weeks all!

usedtobeaylis · 30/06/2025 14:44

I got a price match from We Prescribe so I've got another 4 weeks in the bank which is a relief. I don't know how much longer I can keep scrounging up money to stay on Mounjaro 😆

I also started back exercising today and wow I can move so much more freely with almost 3 stone off.

sweetpickle2 · 30/06/2025 14:59

A small NSV- went and got measured for a bra as mine are definitely all too big now... gone from a 38E to a 34GG!

I've never worn a 34 back bra in my life!

FunnyCrabDance · 30/06/2025 15:17

Back from a lovely weekend with a jab delay of 3 days, which really felt absolutely fine, no desire to overeat, although quite a bit of cider was consumed. Will weigh in tomorrow to see the damage 🫣
Best non scale victory was how much fitter I am. Did a long and moderately challenging walk, not out of breath or pouring with sweat like I have been previously on same walk. Climbing up and racing down sand dunes which I just wouldnt have attempted before! And I'm only half way to goal so hopefully the health benefits are only going to increase

SansaClegane · 30/06/2025 18:45

@skyscrapersinging - is the waist/hip ratio not just a body shape thing though? So of course it would stay the same no matter the weight. I'd use the waist - height measurement instead to see if you are in the healthy range.
fwiw, my waist-hip ratio is 0.74 but I'm sure it was the same when I was at BMI 33! and was clearly not healthy then! it's just my natural shape. on the waist-height thing I've moved nicely from the red area into the green 😂

Aha- I have just tried the NHS app for the waist/height thing and I’m in the green zone! Hurrah! My daughter suggested I hack the waist/hip ratio by starting some serious glute exercises to build up my bum and hips! I’ve never had any hips, but then I’ve never had a waist either, which is probably why that ratio is still rubbish.

SansaClegane · 30/06/2025 21:34

See, I knew that would be better! I also think it's more valid to put waist circumference in relation to height. Like I said, everyone is built differently and apple shapes are really common - I don't think you'd make much of a difference even with trying to build glutes up tbh?!
With a BMI of 22, it would be mad if you weren't in the healthy range! :)

usedtobeaylis · 30/06/2025 21:50

I don't really set too much store by BMI but I just checked there and I'm at 30.5 - very nearly out of the obese category. 4lbs and I'll be 'only' overweight! 🎉

OvertiredandConfused · 01/07/2025 09:39

First week on 10mg and I've lost 2lbs. I'm happy with the weight loss and I feel fine.

My only concern is that I'm eating well below my required calories, due to simply not feeling hungry and so I'm very nervous what will happen when I eat more!

Mounjaroday · 01/07/2025 12:28

Congrats on everyone’s progress!

Weigh-in / jab day today.

SW 103.9kg
CW 76.8kg
Initial TW 72kg

Only 1lb loss this week. Really need to get my head down and focus for a final push.

I know we all love a little pic. Here we are: week 1 versus week 23. Behold my big pants.

sweetpickle2 · 01/07/2025 13:38

I get what you mean @Mounjaroday - its weird, after a few weeks of feeling like nothing has changed at all its like in the last 2kgs the other shoe has dropped and now I can see quite clearly that I'm a very different size and shape.

One significant thing for me has been if I'm in a group photo with other people I no longer feel like the odd one out or the oversized ogre (I am very tall as well as previously being very overweight!)- I am just a person in the group, like everyone else. It's a nice feeling to be able to be out and about and know if someone happens to take a photo I don't have to dread the result.

SpiralSister · 01/07/2025 13:59

Wowsers, @Mounjaroday! You look fabulous!

Ashabeth · 01/07/2025 14:40

Did anyone find that after going up to 10mg the suppression / food aversion was insane?

It was jab day for me yesterday and I went up to 10mg... It's now 2:30pm and I haven't had anything since yesterday's dinner... but despite feeling lightheaded, the idea of food is reeeeeally off putting... I've just had to force myself to make a smoothie for some energy... (In this heat, a cold drink was much more appealing) 😓
