Welcome one and all to our latest thread!

So much support and encouragement on here. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s continued achievements and NSVs.

Congratulations to everyone who has reached their goal and starting maintenance, and all the warriors still trekking on.

I still have a couple of stone to go. Feeling motivated and ready to go!

We can do this!

6 stone in total now lost, 1.5 stone on Mounjaro.

To those comparing themselves with others weight loss rates, don't do it. You don't know what people's diets were like before and now and sometimes you don't know what weight people started at.

As the saying and song goes the race is long but in the end it's only with yourself.

PurpleCoo · 28/06/2025 10:46

Wise words @Nomoretopswithblacktrousers

I am definitely losing slower than most, and for a split second when I hear about people starting at the same time as me losing more it can be disheartening. But, I am on my own plan, I'm doing body pump to build muscle and my diet was already healthy, just too much and too many treats. Also, trying to avoid the dreaded loose skin. I am pleased with how it's all going, and what I am eating, and how I am toning up with classes etc

SpiralSister · 28/06/2025 11:04

Ooh!! Ooh!! I’ve just done the waist to height calculator thing (rather than going by the blanket ‘you must have a 31.5 inch or lower waist measurement or risk imminent death thing 😁) and I actually have a healthy waist measurement now!

I am ridiculously happy about this 😁

In other thoughts, how mad is it that I can still be nearly 2 stone overweight and yet have a low risk waist measurement? It just shows what a blunt tool BMI is I guess..

SpiralSister · 28/06/2025 11:07

Ah, thanks @Zibb!

usedtobeaylis · 28/06/2025 11:35

Supposed to be jag and weigh-in today but I'm away from home and didn't bring my pen so will be a day late. I've not been late taking my pen before so am I about to stop off at Morrisons on the way home for a feast 😬

The best NSV! Hope you had a fab night.

Mounjaroday · 29/06/2025 09:48

Friend of mine said yesterday “wow, Mounj, look at your fabulous legs!”
“Thanks!” I said. “Cost me £750. Best money I ever spent”. 😂

Cheeky weigh in this morning…

Today I am wearing a playsuit. It’s quite short and you can see my cellulite but I don’t care. I love it!

W19 Day 1 (week 8 on 7.5mg)

SW: 16st 5lb (on 22 Feb)
CW: 13st 7lb
Loss this week: 2lb
Total loss: 2st 12lb

Only 2lb to 3 stone loss! I was putting my weight into Nutracheck and put 13st 7lb and was like 'oops, getting ahead of myself!' and deleted it to put 14 instead of 13, totally muddled with the loss 😅

My injection was sore this morning, very sharp, for the first time really. I think I injected too far down my thigh.

My hair is still falling out like I'm a shedding cat, however bizarrely I think my eyelashes are longer and more plentiful.

CoolLimeSheep · 29/06/2025 10:24

Hi everyone im really slow losing now but feeling ok about it gym programme review tommorow 10 mg blew my head of last week so thinking of going back down to 7.5mg.
Pic of my results upto no and 2 stone 3.5lbs left to lose. Went out for a meal last night had a starter and some of my bhunna as I was already full anyone else feel guilty for leaving food on plate when eating out. I still do 🤣. I don't have the same reaction when I tell people im on mj infact my customers come upto me telling me how amazing I look and people always ask my questions about mj. Im sure others would say it's the easy way but I think that's just not true as we all know. @Zibb I had to do the cahms it took 5 years for diagnosis and I still have problems now as my daughters in high school and won't go in sending you luck with cahms long process but you'll get there eventually

Quick weekly update with the stats...

SW 15st 0.4lbs - 9th Feb
CW 11st 1.8lbs (today!)

Which means about 2lbs to go to my target of 11st, although I might carry on until 10 1/2?!
BMI is now 24.5. Would really like to get that to 24, to be firmly in the healthy range.

Feeling a bit wobbly this week (physically, not mentally) as I've not exercised at all due to the heat, think I need to do a bit more again to not lose any more muscle 😳 my arse is looking decidedly flat as well!

SansaClegane · 29/06/2025 10:55

@Zibb my lovely - you look amazing! Look at that snatched waist! ☺️ I know how easy it is to get hung up on details like the calves, but look how much progress you've made! And every body type is different.

Honestly I'd love to be your friend IRL, sounds like we have so much in common. Wishing you strength in that battle with CAMHS for your youngest - I'm prepping court documents this week to take my local authority to SEND tribunal... not that I wanted to! 😓 so shit that we have to fight for our children's needs.

WLINewbie · 29/06/2025 12:55

Hi Everyone 👋 Loving all the positive posts :).

My strange NSV is I went to buy some biscuits and spent time in the aisle looking and choosing. I think before I'd have just grabbed something as didn't want to be the fat person staring at biscuits. As if I wasn't worthy of a choice :(, what nonsense.

On day 2 of 1st jab free week, there might be some in my system still but I feel pretty normal, hungry and plenty of food noise. BUT I feel fkn fantastic! So happy with my weight and accepting of the bits that won't change I currently have the drive to stay focused.

Oh please last!!!!

SpiralSister · 29/06/2025 13:21

Wow, amazing transformation, @CoolLimeSheep!

I know what you mean about leaving food - I don’t want the kitchen staff to think it wasn’t great if it was! Especially at my local. Last night my (huge) unfinished plate of mussels went round the table..

CoolLimeSheep · 29/06/2025 13:27

@SpiralSister thank you! That's a good idea sharing amongst table 😀 I normally just go with my partner i did try palm some off on him but he was like no thank you 🤣.
Also does anyone find they still cook massive portions even though you cant eat nowhere near what you could of? It's like the mind still thinks your big! 😂

PurpleCoo · 29/06/2025 13:52

@CoolLimeSheep I weigh my food, so I don't have big portions (e.g. I just cook 55g of rice/pasta). I also batch cook and portion out soups/mains into number of meals and freeze as individual portions. I'm also adding recipes to nutracheck, so you can play around with how many portions to get out of a recipe so you have the amount of calories you want/need. I try to stick to main meals being around 500 calories, and lunch and breakfast being 200-300 calories, so then there is enough left for an evening snack if I want one.

Mounjaronewbie25 · 29/06/2025 15:11

That’s fantastic @Mounjaroday it’s such a good feeling when you hit a new stone bracket.

The dreaded eggy burps have returned today, haven’t had them in weeks! Grim 🤢😖

CoolLimeSheep · 29/06/2025 15:11

@PurpleCoo that's a really good idea batch cooking I'll try be more organised and give it a go. I haven't even thought about weighing anything so that's good advice. It's silly things like my daughter wanted mash and she said how many potatoes should I use I said 2 bearing in mind they were baking potatoes so massive. Safe to say she had far too much mash when shes finished making her tea 🤣 shes 16

PurpleCoo · 29/06/2025 15:36

This is part of my freezer (photo under review). A shelf for individual mains, a shelf for lunches (so soup, dhal, lentil chilli etc), top shelf is ingredients. I even quarter citrus fruit and freeze, plus I batch cook base sauce for making restaurant style curries, or if I make home made stock etc.

I can be lazy in the week then and by the time I have walked the dogs and sometimes been to the gym, I can just grab a pot of what I fancy and pop it in the microwave. I know exactly what calories I am eating as well

Sometimes I just eat one portion I make for dinner and freeze the rest, or sometimes I cook four things at once on the hob as a job lot.

I have always batch cooked but had stopped weighing everything except rice/pasta, and I think this is how the weight crept up. Also didn't realise how many calories some meals had, although they seemed healthy enough on the surface

@PerditionCatchMySoul bare faced lies straight out of my mouth most days. I find saying “no, no jabs” is kinder than saying “f* o** mind your own business”.

I dropped out of the threads a while ago but still plodding on. 5lbs from goal weight now.

i increased the dose very slowly and have just finished a 7.5 pen and finally found the side effects caught up with me so reducing dose now. Would love to come off mounjaro entirely by end of August but will see how it goes. Not averse to a maintenance dose if the alternative is regaining the weight. So pleased to be fitting into my pre pandemic/divorce wardrobe of lovely clothes. Mounjaro has been cheaper than replacing them all.

SW 13st 1lb
CW 10st 5lb

5lbs to go
