I have this too

I find it particularly annoying as I haven't lost weight particularly quickly so I feel like it's a bit unfair!

I am still on a plateau, haven't really lost anything (maybe 1 lb or so) in the last 6 weeks.

Oh that must be so frustrating 😫

eleanorwish · 20/06/2025 11:02

Beginning of week 19 for me, total weight loss since starting MJ is 30 lbs. I’m now 13st 2. I haven’t weighed this since I got pregnant with my DS. I’ve finally lost the baby weight!! He did turn 18 this May though. It’s a sobering thought that neither of my children have ever seen me at this weight.
As with other posters, I’m finding it much easier to cope with the heat. It’s taking a lot longer to turn into a hot sweaty mess !

OvertiredandConfused · 20/06/2025 12:00

Weigh day for me.

SW 21st 10lbs
CW 17st 12lbs
Total loss - 3st 12lbs
Loss this week - 2.5lbs

It's the end of my 12 weeks on 7.5mg and I go up to 10mg tomorrow. I've "only" lost 6.5lbs this month. Only other time I've done that was when I was on 5mg - only did that for 4 weeks as I didn't think it was working.

I've now dropped two sizes in tops and dresses but most trousers haven't changed. People are definitely noticing now and trying to compliment without insulting!

Haven't set a target but I'm vaguely thinking somewhere around 12st

@CoolLimeSheepwhile the pic is under review, it’s 45 clicks. I’ve found that chart so helpful when I’ve been dicking around between pens!

The amount of hair falling out my head is insane. So much this morning when I was washing it, I'm convinced I must have bald spots I can't see. I thought that was the worst of it until I then brushed my hair and had to actually go out into the back garden so it didn't get everywhere. When does it stop 😶

God, same here. And Lordy it just falls everywhere!! 😂

Jeezy creezy, the heat today! Had a massive dizzy spell after some very mild gardening.

Calorie deficit and high temperatures are clearly not a match made in heaven for me.

Anyone else finding the heat a bit challenging?

OP posts:
Zibb · 20/06/2025 23:06

Also losing lots of hair 😭 it's thin at my temples and my fringe is looking a bit sad.

I am 1.5lbs away from being overweight and no longer obese. Then it's only 31.5lbs to a BMI of 24.9 and a healthy weight. 53lbs to my goal weight.
53 feels too daunting so I'm not thinking about that too much.
33lbs feels doable. I've lost 73lbs so far. I'm over halfway done.

I'm coming to the end of week 17. Which is kind of insane. Feels like I've been doing this forever but it's hardly any time at all really. No wonder my brain is struggling so hard to keep up and see the changes in my body.

Zibb · 20/06/2025 23:10

Heat has been absolute torture today. Thought it would be easier to deal with but noooope.

MissionToSize10 · 21/06/2025 07:25

Re hair loss, are you eating enough? Vitamins? Ive not noticed anymore than usual and im a bit paranoid about losing it!

heat- yes its difficult but easier as i can fit into summer clothes. I still think i look bad but i keep saying to myself at least i dont look as bad as i did!

SpiralSister · 21/06/2025 08:49

Morning lovelies! It’s a bit cooler where I am compared to the rest of the country, but yesterday was a scorcher! Went for a coast walk and then a swim, which was bliss. Wore shorts! And then in the evening, a bright yellow dress for the solstice eve. Taking up space - in a different way 🌞

Weigh in today:
SW: 15.5
CW: 12.5 (BMI 28.8)
TL: 3 stone! 😄
GW: 10.5 (BMI 24.1)

7.5mg seems a good space for me. Average of 2lbs a week off, which is doable, not too fast, and not annoyingly slow either. Still many weeks in front of me though to reach goal..

I must say, I am becoming a little fed up with the ‘don’t lose too much now!’ And ‘when are you going to stop?’ comments. Since when did me becoming a healthy weight be a problem? Since I became thinner than you, perhaps? 🤔

Have a great weekend, fellow warriors 💐

loobyloo1979 · 21/06/2025 08:55

jab number 20- 5mg
SW: 14st 12.2
CW: 12st 7
GW: 9st 6

After what seemed like an almost all May stall where I seemed to loose and gain the same couple of lbs all month, I've only gone and dropped 5lbs in the last week! NSV I've gone from a size 18/20 to a size 16. I wore trousers yesterday that were a large, down from the XL/2XL I had been wearing earlier on this year.

People keep asking me now if I've lost weight, and when I say yes I'm on the WLI, the amount who also admit to be on them too has surprised me.

Touch wood besides two instances of constipation I've had no side effects. Dp is also on them and this is his only side effect too. Nothing a dose of lactulose hasn't sorted out.

usedtobeaylis · 21/06/2025 09:09

W18 Day 1 (Week 7 on 7.5mg)

SW: 16st 5lb
CW: 13st 9lb
Loss this week: 2lb
Total loss: 2st 10lb

4lbs away from having lost 3 stone 😯

Because I had been taking 5mg from a higher dose pen before, I found myself with both a 7.5mg and a 10mg pen this morning and did debate going up to the 10mg. Ultimately decided to stick with the 7.5mg - I do feel it's not been quite as effective and I'm needing to use a fair bit of willpower, especially towards the end of the week - but it's still working in the sense that I'm not bingeing, I'm still staying within my calories, and I'm still making better food choices. I'm acutely aware that some day soon I won't have a pen and it will need to be ALL willpower so might as well practice. I also considered the fact that it's hotter than hell and didn't want to deal with a whole new set of side effects when everything feels quite settled in that sense.

I am, I'm eating a healthy 1500 calories and I feel like they're good calories. I think it's just a normal side effect of weight loss - 38lb since Feb is a lot no matter how 'well' you do it. I know it's temporary but equally I know there's always room for improvement with nutrition - especially iron, which is something I've always struggled a bit with.

One of the issues I have with vitamins is that I have no idea what's safe to take with each other. I used to take a multivitamin and somewhere along the way I stopped. The only thing I currently take is a calcium and vitamin D supplement, and collagen.

I think you can look a bit odd if you lose a lot of weight though. It’s more that you look different - face shape, shoulder size, leg length.
People always comment on my height - I look shorter when I lose weight. I had someone say “ you’re tiny’ at a size 10 whereas at size 14 people insist I’m average height when I say I’m short.

Marchintospring · 21/06/2025 09:51

@usedtobeaylis
How old are you. My hair was falling out non stop around the menopause. I took lots of supplements but nothing worked.
Stopped of it’s own accord and no reoccurrence with the jab.
I’m low iron too.

That’s really interesting, thank you for sharing that. I guess it’s about frame of reference. The people making these comments have never known me at this weight, let alone smaller.
How fascinating that people perceive you as a different height!

Febnewbie · 21/06/2025 10:32

Having spent a while feeling pretty good about myself, am feeling a bit despondent again.

My CW is 12 st 4, very similar to many of you but my SW was 13st 8 so I have lost a lot less than almost everyone else here which is a bit depressing.

I also was feeling a lot better until I saw myself in summer clothes!

WLINewbie · 21/06/2025 10:54

Took the last dose from my last pen today. Think it was around 1.6mg I got.
It feels like these micro doses aren't doing anything as the food noise has returned and I've had to revert to only buying food for the day, 2 days max (otherwise I'll just eat all the tasty food) and definitely can't have chocolate in the house anymore. But there might be things the MJ does that I haven't realised, the next few weeks will tell :).
Absolutely loving the heat, unfortunately I lack the confidence to wear nice summer clothes. Being my lowest adult weight and 2.5 years of strength training has done nothing for my legs. They're much smaller but there's no change to my bad cellulite and if anything,my things look worse than ever.
But I've also accepted the size 8 I am now is going to look very different to how I'd imagined. I definitely thought there would be less wobble and lard but not quite! 20+ years of weight going up and down will do that I guess.
I've increased my calories a bit to combat the hunger and haven't woken up in the middle of the night with hunger pains which has been nice.
Also dropped a wee half pound which gets me more comfortably under the 9 stone mark.
Here's to the week ahead and beyond

FunnyCrabDance · 21/06/2025 10:57

Regarding the hair loss posts, this is an issue I'm very paranoid about as I have very fine hair and lost loads each time I had covid (twice) and then last year due to stress.
So far, touch wood and all that, I havent noticed much increased shedding, but i'm plodding along at around 1lb a week so not rapid weight loss.
I'm spending every spare penny that isnt used on jabs on biotin, iron, magnesium and collegen suppliments (all from. Nutrition Geeks) and Watermans shampoo and conditioner. I dont know if any of it helps but its probably not harming anything other than my bank balance...

Ke11 · 21/06/2025 12:09

Chiming in on the hair loss, my hair is definitely thinning at the front now, I'm not noticing load of extra shedding though. I guess this may be around the amount of time it takes for hair to react to large weight loss.

My hair has always been super thick and wavy so it's maybe not as noticeable to others yet. I'm not someone that cares a lot about my hair luckily, I've had hair long enough to sit on, a purple mohawk with fully shaved sides and anything in between so if it gets bad maybe I'll just cut it all off again. I do love the feel of super short shaved hair, especially in the summer.

For vitamins, I've gone with the nuclear option, I put iron, calcium, multi vitamin, D3, collagen etc in a pill grinder every 1 or 2 days, dump them in with my huel shake and have that on the way to work. I haven't seen any bad effects from combining them and barely notice the taste. It's been particularly helpful the last 2 weeks while I'm getting used to the high appetite suppression on 10mg.
