Welcome one and all to our latest thread!

So much support and encouragement on here. Can’t wait to hear everyone’s continued achievements and NSVs.

Congratulations to everyone who has reached their goal and starting maintenance, and all the warriors still trekking on.

I still have a couple of stone to go. Feeling motivated and ready to go!

We can do this!

Around 3 stone loss since start of Feb; my bmi is 26ish. Can’t believe it. I no longer walk the long way round shops to avoid the full length mirror.
I’ve lost weight pretty much all over but my legs are still chunky. I’m a daily weigher but I don’t count calories and I don’t do much in the way of exercise apart from walking and wrangling grandchildren. My bingo wings, apron and thighs are now quite wrinkly but at 61 I simply do not care one iota. I’m just glad to feel so much better; less aches and pains, more stamina, perkier bladder, less anxiety etc.
I’ve worked out the jabs have cost me around £27 per week (including the bonus dose) and it’s worth every single penny. Maintenance is beckoning though which is a bit scary.

Weigh in day for me, start of week 19 I believe.

So 10mg is kicking my butt, definitely feel like I'll be staying on this for a while. I've decided to stay at the full 10 rather than lowering it a bit, I'm going to give it a few weeks purely because all previous doses have felt a bit different as time went on. But if I still can hardly eat after 4 weeks then I'll drop it down to 9mg and see. This level of hardly eating isn't sustainable and in still getting a bit lightheaded if I'm not reminding myself to eat regularly.

Sw: 116.5kg
Cw: 90.2kg
Loss this week: 2.4kg or 5lb
Total loss so far: 26.3kg or just over 4!! Stone (wtaf)

I'm being a bit cautious about the big loss since I expect a bit of bounce back when I'm eating normally in a few days. I wouldn't be surprised if I stall or even gain in the next week or two. Along with the absolute loss of appetite I've been on my feet an awful lot this week doing maybe double my usual step count which has added to the loss.

Nsv: I'm doing a bit of decorating at home and have just ordered a new recliner and a new mattress. It was so nice to fit comfortably in the recliners without worrying if I'd be too heavy/wide. Same with the mattress shopping, I didn't feel like I was doing my best beached whale impression which has put me off getting a new mattress for years.

Also I'm the same with clothes, I too have been wearing my own version of the "fat uniform" for my entire life, t-shirts, jeans and hoodies. I own nothing else. Looking at other types of clothes, they just feel weird to me.

Herefordian · 13/06/2025 13:41

Oh, and for the first time in around 15 years I’ve bought a belt. That £15 belt is so much more than an accessory to my (new) jeans. It means I actually have a visible waist which is incredible to me.

Hangryfastjo · 13/06/2025 11:00

This!

I go into a changing room with a 14 and for a laugh a 12. And the 12 looks better! And I'm laughing at myself thinking " yeah, I'm not really fitting in a 12, it's just a fluke, and I'll be 14/16 really".
It really is hard to get your head around. And vest tops! I'm loving them and I would avoid them previously, like the plague, and I'm not criticising my arms in them. And it sounds daft, but it really does mess with your head a little.

I took 8.75mg last saturday and (after an early weigh in today) I'm 2.6lb down this week, not had a loss like that since my 2.5mg pen!!

I am sort of the opposite on the sizing stuff.

I basically in my head have always been a small size 14 so I actually owned a few things that I bought without trying them on (charity shops or middle of Lidl or vinted) which were too small.

So for me it's more that I am now actually the size I was in my head if you see what I mean

OvertiredandConfused · 13/06/2025 14:13

Weigh day for me at the end of week 19 (been on 7.5mg since week 9).

Lost 1.5lbs this week. 2.5lb last week and nothing the week before.

I'm going up to 10mg after this week's jab. Slightly nervous and probably could stick a bit longer but I'm going away in mid-July and will need to take my next new pen with me to start a few days in. Definitely don't want that to be a new dose so it was either now or mid-August!

My long weekend away is the only time I've exceeded my calorie allowance for more than a single day and I have NEVER not averaged within the allowance across a week. Just checked and over the last five days, I've averaged 956 calories a day, with 1118 being the highest day (against a daily allowance of 1395). Some days I COULD eat more, but I'd have to make a concerted effort. And I don't really want to make myself eat when I'm not hungry and loosing about 2lbs a week. But that's not a lot to be eating when I have 5-6 stone still to loose....

MrsHero · 13/06/2025 14:19

I've just passed 50% of my goal progress on Shotsy! Need to decide whether to go for a third 5mg or move up to 7.5mg. I'm averaging 1.5lb a week off, although it does seem to slow in the school hols so I'm a bit worried about the summer break coming up.

Also, had a bra fitting last weekend and have lost a cup and back size. Helpfully, taking back to my pre-pregnancy size (he starts school in Sept, ha!) so I've dug out some old bras and will save the pennies until I shrink a bit more 😁

W17 Day 1 - week 6 on 7.5mg
Starting weight: 16st 5lb
Current weight: 13st 11lb
Loss this week: 1lb
Total loss: 2st 8lb

Only another single pound off, same as the last 2 weeks. 3lb off in 3 weeks is still good and I would have bitten anyone's arm off for a steady loss but still feel a little twinge of disappointment regardless.

7.5mg seems to be working well. I'm still feeling hungry, and feel more confident working slightly less healthy food into my calories sometimes without it leading to a binge. Willpower is holding up. I'm a lot more conscious and mindful though - do I REALLY want to use 350 calories on a Greggs sausage roll just because it's convenient or would I rather just wait until I get home and can make a better choice? Pre-mounjaro once I'd had the idea of a Greggs sausage roll, it would have been like trying not to press a button that says 'do not press'.

I was looking through my nutracheck app at my weekly and daily calories since February and there seems to be absolutely no rhyme or reason to when I eat more calories or less calories.

Nomoretopswithblacktrousers · 14/06/2025 08:01

Had a lovely big whoosh. Now less than a stone to goal 1.

Ke11 · 14/06/2025 11:25

Just an FYI for anyone that was interested in the Dino sleepover at the natural history museum, it's brilliant, well worth going if you're even slightly interested. Dinner was great, activities running until 3am, tours, free roaming most of the museum all night without the crowds, even managed an hour or two of sleep. Loads of staff there too so felt incredibly safe and they are all so nice. A whole range of people too from 18 to 70.

I think I might do it again next time I feel like a visit rather than in the daytime.

Mounjaronewbie25 · 14/06/2025 11:46

Morning! Weigh in day for me.

Highest weight - 16st 9.5
Mounjaro SW on 15.2.25 - 14st 12
CW - 11st 12.5

Loss this week: 0.5 lb
Total loss on Mounjaro: 41.5 lbs (2st 13.5)
Total loss overall: 66 lbs (4 st 11)

Only half a pound this week, seems to be going like this now. I’ll stay the same/ lose half a pound and then the following week have a whoosh of 3 pounds drop off over night!
Can’t complain though, at least it’s still coming off. I’ve never consistently lost weight every week for this long.

narkyspirit · 14/06/2025 13:12

Day 1 of week 20
after slowing down on losses, previous weeks at 0.1 and 0.5 kg, I'm back to 1 kg loss this last week. week 7 of 7.5Mg (used bonus dose on last pen)

SW 95.9

CW 81.6

Loss 14.3kg your (14.9 % body weight)

I'm hitting the Gym 4/5 days a week with two Pt sessions a week together with fasting 16/8. I'm not actively counting calories but cutting down portion size, still struggle with sweet tooth and can happily eat a large bar of chocolate. As for alcohol it's still there but not as much as before glass of wine with dinner a few times a week rather than a bottle. Im sure if I cut out sweet stuff and the booze I'd drop a bit quicker but there needs to be a treat, tonight its a curry😎

Lola50 · 14/06/2025 14:00

Any advice on this one?
My stats have improved considerably - fat:muscle ratio “excellent” (according to machine at the gym); lost an inch from my waist in just the last week; lots of energy… And hardly any change at all on the scales. As a result, I am feeling despondent. And annoyed that I am feeling despondent. If it were my daughter saying this, I would tell her to throw the scales in the bin, but just can’t find the same for myself.

It really sounds like you've gained a bit of muscle mass and you have some inflammation that will be retaining water.

Working out, especially lifting, will cause inflammation, that's how your muscle grows. That muscle will then retain some water, as will any fat cells that have recently emptied of fat. That can lead to what the scales say is a small loss or even a gain.

The number on the scales is the least important measurement in my opinion. You've lost an inch on your waist! That means you're shrinking. Lots of energy means you are fuelled properly. Focus on how you are feeling. You are smashing it! The scales will go down at some point but fuck em for now. It's just a number that can be affected by the tiniest thing.

Mounjaroday · 15/06/2025 08:17

Agree! Stupid scales!

Nearly out of obesity and into over weight coming off alot slower now but have just had a week off work. Ive never done waist measurements so think i may try it just not sure if I have a tape measure. If you've lost an inch that's brilliant im sure the pounds will drop soon try not too get too disheartened

My glasses feel loose! Still quite new to wearing glasses and didn't expect I'd need to have my glasses adjusted.

My head seems the same size so I guess I've lost some weight from near my temples? Don't think my nose was very fat before but may go and look at some photos in a bit more detail to see how my face has changed?? 😁

BTW this is a light hearted post. Any insights about glasses not fitting from weight gain or loss would interest me though.

SansaClegane · 15/06/2025 09:30

First disappointing week for me.

SW: 15st 0.4lbs
CW: 11st 7.8lbs

I've gained 0.4lbs this week... Confused I know that's not a lot & I know it's normal to plateau...! However, nothing has changed, I still get lots of suppression, and I feel like I'm sooo close to the goal now (BMI is almost in the healthy category!), so it's just hugely frustrating to stall.

Have still got some of my 7.5 pen to go, but ordered 5mg for my next one as I thought I'm levelling off in preparation for maintenance. Now thinking I should have stuck with the 7.5!!
Oh well, here's hoping for a better week 🙃

Mounjaroday · 15/06/2025 10:11

Ah good luck @SansaClegane Very exciting! You are so close!

@Nomoretopswithblacktrousers yes! My glasses are now too big!

I’m starting to reevaluate my goal weight again.

Didn’t have a firm plan when I started all this but cautiously aimed to lose around three stone.

Then - as the confidence grew - shifted that to five stone in order to achieve a healthy BMI. I have just over a stone to go to get there.

However, that will only just get me into the healthy BMI. Should I up my target again? Another stone (a six stone total loss) would put me mid section healthy BMI.

Any thoughts? All these numbers are totally bonkers.

I would lose your stone and see how you feel rather than change target just yet. How do you feel in yourself?

180g? That's a trip to the loo. Or maybe you didn't drink enough water the past couple of days. Sooo many reasons for it. Frustrating, yes, but don't sweat it. Stick to your plan. You've got this! You'll reach your goal soon and be like "why was I even worried about 180g?!"

I agree with @CoolLimeSheep . Stick to your current goal of getting to a healthy BMI and once you get there see how you feel.

You might feel totally happy at that weight. If you don't then you keep going. But if you keep moving your goal based on numbers then you might miss that point where you feel good and happy?

Idk, it's such a personal choice.

skyscrapersinging · 15/06/2025 11:20

It’s my bday tomorrow, and I even have a day off, so am tempted to go blow some cash at Bravissimo. But then I wonder if I’m really “finished” and may end up needing smaller size again. Reluctant to waste money on “interim” clothing, but I have to wear something that fits occasionally, instead of wandering about in trousers that are falling down and bras that are holding tiny pebbles, where once they were boulders….

skyscrapersinging · 15/06/2025 11:44

SW- 89.2kg (14 stone 1)
CW- 72.2kg (11 stone 5)
GW - 69.2kg (10 stone 12) let’s make it an even 20kg weight loss, why not?!

Week 19, almost 20. I’ve hit 17kg lost. I can’t really believe it. But then I try on my old clothes and they look ridiculous. I can’t even keep the trousers up, swimming in my old shirts and tops.

Have gone up to 7.5mg after ages on 5, not really sure why I did that now, with only 6lb (3kg) left to lose. I guess I can use it up and go back down to 5 for maintenance and see how I get on.

Have a good Sunday- I have a birthday and kid finishing A levels tmrw. And 35lb weight off my shoulders. Couldn’t be happier.

Mounjaroday · 15/06/2025 11:49

@skyscrapersinging yes!!!! Happy birthday for tomorrow. Motion to go treat yourself is seconded and signed off!!

Thanks for the advice @Zibb and @CoolLimeSheep. Am feeling great and will keep focussed on that stone!
