Roll up, roll up...thread 3 for the loveliest bunch of losers!

"Onwards & Downwards" has become our little motto for the days when it all feels a bit tough and that wine / chocolate / cake looks a bit too bloody tempting.

Lots of love,
Lass x

Hi losers. Today was W4D1 for me. First 5mg dose although I did the illegal dose last week 😈 so technically I had 5 msg last week.

I am 5’1.5” and SW was 76.2 kgs (12 stone). TW is 60 kgs (9.5 stone - the weight I used to be so depressed about being lol) which is still at the high ish weight for my height.

CW is 73.5 kgs so a loss of just under 3 kgs in 4 weeks. I’m happy with that as one week I was away for 4 days at a wedding and although my eating was quite controlled, I had equivalent of a bottle of wine on 3 nights!

I’ve not had a great amount of suppression - still craving snacks particularly in the evening. But I’ve been exercising lots more, eating a high protein/healthy diet and cut out alcohol. So it’s not been easy but I’m hoping I’ll get more suppression as the dose increases.

I don’t post often but I love reading everyone’s updates!! KOKO losers!

Seahorsesplendour · 13/06/2025 21:31

@FlorenceNightshade

Just wanted to say thanks for the (unintended) giggle!!! I was skim reading and from your last post my brain read that you lost 7kg having a wee 😂that would have been some water loss!!!!

i’m not even drinking anymore thanks to MJ!! 🤭 so can’t blame being tipsy!!

happy weekend everyone!!!

FlorenceNightshade · 13/06/2025 21:37

@Seahorsesplendour Gawd imagine the nick of me by Monday if that were true!!! I’d be a literal skeleton 🤣🤣🤣

Seahorsesplendour · 13/06/2025 22:28

@FlorenceNightshade you really would!! 😂

Seahorsesplendour · 14/06/2025 06:40

Morning all so it’s my first weigh day since deciding to weigh monthly!

Part of me wishes I was weighing the other part is relieved as came on yesterday & ended up eating a third of a chocolate orange!! Feel pretty bloated this morning.

Seems hormones are more powerful than MJ on occasion!! having said that pre MJ I’d have had the lot so I guess that’s a win!!

going to repeat measurements tonight

NSV - first ever 28 day cycle (normally 40-50 days) although not sure that’s really a victory at 47!! 😮

definitely less growth of facial hair

scalp psoriasis improved

difficult week at work and didn’t have chocolate apart from last night and didn’t have wine!!

Cocotok · 14/06/2025 08:54

I've just done my 4th jab. Weigh in was disappointing, no loss this week. I am still struggling with constipation and bloating so hoping it's just that and I'll see a loss again next week 🤞🏼.

I've ordered some medical syringes to get the last dose out next week and I have my next pen ready to go.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

PersonaNonFatta · 14/06/2025 09:08

Similar position to me @Cocotok
4th jab yesterday, and syringes on their way from Amazon!

No weight loss for the past few days, but I've already lost 12 pounds, so probably a stone by the end of week 4, which seems a lot.

Constipation still coming and going, nausea less intense, but am about to move up a dose so no doubt will be back!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 14/06/2025 09:38

Morning Criminals 💉

Slept terribly last night. What is it about the first night after injecting that disturbs sleep?
I went for a walk with DD last night and i leapt out of the way of some people running for a bus. My knee popped out and back in, ugh. One cannot simply leap after a knee injury, I must remember this.

I've set my step count target at 5,000 which I know is woefully inadequate for weight loss, but I'm hoping by gradually increasing I can build strength in my knee. Silly knees.

Hope you bunch of golden dose reprobates have a lovely day.

MoggiMay · 14/06/2025 10:09

Checking in!

SW 18st 11lb
CW 17st 4.2lb
TW 12st 7lb (but I’m honestly rethinking lower, this is going so well!)

21 lbs lost over 6 weeks!! I can’t believe it!! Gosh I’m feeling great!

How are you all getting on?

Seahorsesplendour · 14/06/2025 10:28

@DidILeaveTheGasOn ouch!! Hope it hasn’t set you back too much!!

I think 5000 steps is pretty impressive considering your recent injury!!

i recommended Lucy Wyndham-Read on YouTube for excercises when I discovered her few weeks ago!! She has got a great 7 minute knee strengthening work out which seems to be really helping my knackered knees!! Might be worth a try!!

it’s gentle walking with exercises to strengthen all the surrounding muscles at short intervals.

hope you have no more knee popping this weekend!!!

sending thoughts & hugs to @OhPolly

SharpLemonEagle · 14/06/2025 10:28

Hi all, week 3 done here and 9lb down overall and down to the next stone category, where I haven’t been since before baby no 4 so am happy with that. Has anyone else noticed MJ messing with menstrual cycle? Very late here and constantly thinking I’m premenstrual and unsure if symptoms are PTM or SE!

MarinaDelRay · 14/06/2025 14:12

W5D1
SW 188.3lbs
CW 186.3lbs

Disappointing results after 4 weeks. Only 2lbs lost. No appetite suppression - still getting hunger pangs at mealtimes. At the start I felt fuller more quickly but not any more. No side effects either. The first two weeks I had a slightly elevated heart rate and had trouble sleeping but that’s gone now,

ETA I’m on 2.5mg and should probably have gone up to 5mg. I was concerned that the heart/sleeping issues might be worse when I jump up a dose but I think it’s worth it as I’m only losing .5lb a week right now.

Newnameoldme01 · 14/06/2025 14:36

just took 4th jab there and ordered my next pen, I’ve went for 5mg as I have been hungrier in the evenings, food noise increasing and the last two days woke up starving.
went food shopping last night and didn’t pick up any rubbish, didn’t even go up the sweets/crisps aisle, I’ve also realised I haven’t had any fizzy juice for two weeks, just water/diluting juice, tea and decaf coffee.

im too embarrassed to put my starting weight but losses so far are

w1 - 6.8lb
w2 - 4.2lb
w3 - 4.6lb

no noticeable difference but I walked to the shop last night and wasn’t out of breath/knackered as I’d usually be.

hopefully I can begin doing some exercise now as previously I was out of breath with minimal exertion so couldn’t do much. I’ve also noticed that my fingernails are looking better, less brittle and actually growing more rather than breaking all the time.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 14/06/2025 16:08

Checking in, just started week 6 here. After doing the extra dose (2.9mg) I moved up to 5 mg yesterday. Feel completely wiped out, headache, a bit of nausea this morning but overall not too bad as I was scared of the impact of doubling the dose. I have lost just over 1 stone in the first 5 weeks which I am very pleased with.

I need to take some photos/ measurements, can’t say I feel any smaller or differently shaped yet.

RoaryMouth · 14/06/2025 16:30

I decided just to take the 5mg dose rather than faff around counting clicks etc. All fine so far, tired and falling asleep last night and sluggish this morning but no change there. 👍

TreesOfGreen99 · 14/06/2025 17:34

Checking in, 3 weeks in, and new pen in the fridge ready for next week.
I’m doing this through the local pharmacy and am really impressed with the service. Each month you have a f2f with the pharmacist to review the month, discuss side effects and decide on next pen strength. They also weigh you, and I’ve lost 5kg on their scales.
I could probably get cheaper by shopping round, (paying £129 for 5mg), but this is so convenient and reassuring.
Hoping everyone’s having a good weekend, keep on losing x

Mounraine · 14/06/2025 18:02

I don't think that's a bad price @TreesOfGreen99 once P&P is taken in to account.

@PersonaNonFatta I am no expert, but I understand needles from Amazon are not medical grade (you only said syringes though, so may have this all in hand).

I am now considering trying to get the fifth dose out. Despite having read explanations about 100 times I'm still not sure how to get my head around it. I was hoping to use the plungers from Ebay as the nearest method to what I have already been doing, but can't picture how to take the pen's plunger off. If I buy a separate needle and syringe to draw it out, I really want to use a tiny needle to inject it. I guess I just feel out of my depth.

Lovecycling · 14/06/2025 19:36

@Mounraine I bought syringes and separate needles for the bonus dose from UKMedi. The needles are different from the insulin needles you use with the pen. I popped a needle on the syringe and inserted needle into pen through the red circle then pull as much dose out as you can. Take needle out and remove needle from syringe. Add a new needle (you don’t need to do this but I think it’s good practice for minimising contamination. It also means you’re not injecting with a blunt needle). Tap the syringe so any air bubbles go to the top. Prime the new needle until you see liquid coming out. Check your dose. 0.6ml will be full dose. Inject as normal. The needles are very fine.

PandyMoanyMum · 14/06/2025 20:18

Hello losers! Just wondering if anyone is using a calorie tracking app. I started with Nutracheck which was great, but then the free trial finished and I don’t want to pay! Does anyone know of a good one that’s free please?

26dX · 14/06/2025 20:23

@PandyMoanyMum I use my fitness pal x

Cocotok · 14/06/2025 20:30

I'm also using My Fitness pal.

Mounraine · 14/06/2025 20:43

@PandyMoanyMum I paid the £20 for the year. I find Nutracheck more UK-supportive than I remember MFP being (but that would be about 15 years ago now I think about it).

@Lovecycling that is so helpful, thank you. I think I'm one step closer to being criminal brave.

TreesOfGreen99 · 14/06/2025 21:25

I use MyNetDiary the free app is pretty good but it’s only c. £25 for a year subscription

PinkScot · 14/06/2025 21:40

I use My Fitness Pal it’s free and has all the foods you just type in even strange brands and stuff it has everything!
