Roll up, roll up...thread 3 for the loveliest bunch of losers!

"Onwards & Downwards" has become our little motto for the days when it all feels a bit tough and that wine / chocolate / cake looks a bit too bloody tempting.

Lots of love,
Lass x

Thanks @SussexLass87i am delighted!

weird day today. Didn’t eat much yesterday then had wine so stomach hasn’t been right. Managed a couple of boiled eggs and a slice of toast for lunch, and chicken with cucumber salad for dinner so hopefully will be ok tomorrow!

ElsieJay · 07/06/2025 18:53

@SussexLass87 - no change since 30 May 🤔 - but happy with weight loss at least .

Dominoeffecter · 07/06/2025 18:58

Hello all 👋 I started in May, starting weight 11stone 10 Current weight 10stone 8. It’s really helped me do an overhaul of my diet, it’s certainly not the ‘easy fix’ that some people think it is but a really helpful tool in getting back on the right track

Hi everyone. I wonder if I can get a sense check, is my thinking correct here? I'm on my second 2.5ml pen and plan to do 5ml for my next pen. I think I want to try doing 3.75 for two weeks and was thinking I could do the following:

2.5 - 60 clicks ( already used this week)
2.5 - 60 clicks
3.75 -90 clicks
3.75 - 30 clicks (1.25ml) + 2.5ml golden dose

Does that make sense?

In theory, yes. Just be aware that there may not be a full 'golden' dose in your pen. Sometimes there is less, sometimes more. It's just the luck of the draw!

If your golden dose turns out to be less, and you have your next pen already, you could always top up with that (as long as you remember to adjust your clicks for the higher dosage from a 5mg pen.)

Hope everyone has had a nice Saturday! I’m another pound down and feeling good about it since following advice of someone up thread who said Google picture of a lb of fat!!!! 😱no wonder I feel better for the 18 of them I’ve lost so far!!!

I’ve also decided I’m going to go to weighing fortnightly then monthly!

I feel like I obsess to much in the run up to weighing and I want this to be about chsnging how I eat over the long term than just chasing the pounds!

so my aim this week is to try not to obsess about it & just start to enjoy feeling better and hopefully about continuing losses !

I did manage almost a week without a lengthy post 🙈 so that’s another win!! 🤭

NSV’s clothes feeling looser, way more energy & less joint pain!

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 07/06/2025 20:03

I went to the shops by myself today, in the past this would have led to a cake in a coffee shop or suchlike. Nothing for me today, although I am pretty peckish at the moment but just having an apple. It really is quite an amazing medication.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 07/06/2025 21:43

Loved catching up on the thread!
I'm back from London. We went to see Sam Fender and it was absolutely fantastic.
Ended up walking about 5 miles with my crutches due to lack of public transport or ubers, and my knee did a few alarming 'ooh I'm going to dislocate and then you'll be fucked' moves, but that didn't happen luckily! Really bad planning on our part.

The plus side is, I can walk slowly on my knee for over an hour with no consequences, so I am seriously cheered up by that.

Eating healthily whilst travelling five hours to London meant I had a chicken and rice bowl from KFC for under 600 calories, which was really nice, and then nothing else because the food at the stadium was just trash with ketchup. I might have had five glasses of a lurid pee-like liquid calling itself 'wine'. I couldn't possibly comment.

I am so dehydrated. Ten hour round trip to London - not really possible to drink enough water. I feel about as hydrated as a crisp.

SutekhsEars · 08/06/2025 07:20

1.5kg down for me this week, so about .75 of a stone in total, which I'm very happy with. Clothes feel much looser too.
My metabolic age is down too, according to my complicated bathroom scales!
I think I have COVID though, which is less fun. Spent all day yesterday on the sofa. ☹️

Iggy35 · 08/06/2025 07:30

I got on the scales this morning and for the first time in the long time I'm in the 15s stone bracket.

Started at 17st 4lbs
This morning 15st 13.5lbs

I know it's just barely, but it now starts with 15 and that feels like an amazing achievement in 6 weeks.

My GW is to be under 11, so I still have a long way to go, but can't believe I avoided starting this for this long. Best decision (and investment) ever.

SussexLass87 · 08/06/2025 07:56

Thank you to the PP who suggested googling what a pound of fat looks like. I'm sorry I can't find your post now. My mind is absolutely blown away - it's huge!

Definitely puts that feeling of "it's only a pound" into perspective.

Glad everyone is mostly having good weekends, to anyone struggling hope you're okay...we're here alongside you!

So nice to read about the small victory @Iggy35 and @SutekhsEars can wait to start seeing number in the 80kg bracket! Im not far …
i went to a dinner party last night…. I didnt feel like drinking as much as usual.. i didnt eat as usual… and i was at the boring endnof the table… i used to drink a bit and be a bit tipsy but not much and be more fun … so things will need to adjust! I remember when i stopped smoking, i felt like i had list a small part of my personality and i had to find a new way of being. I think something similar will have to happen…. A bit bittersweet…

Apprenante · 08/06/2025 08:10

@DidILeaveTheGasOn "as dehydrated as a crisp" 😂😂😂

26dX · 08/06/2025 08:21

Week 6 - 1st 3.6lb down 😮

lissie123 · 08/06/2025 09:09

Morning everyone
Had some friends round for food and drinks last night. I did eat more than usual and don’t feel hungry this morning. I didn’t drink any alcohol which is incredible for me. It’s been five weeks since I last had anything alcoholic. Amazing 🤩
Im not sure what’s happening. Have lost 15lbs to date, so something must be working.

Mounjaronew · 08/06/2025 10:16

Week 5 day 6. Very pleased this morning. Weight loss had stuck for a while but 11s 5lb this morning in fact just 1/8 lb off 11s 4lb which will be my 1st stone. Even better about 2inches of my tummy! If that continues I will be at my ideal weight in about 6 weeks or so. Very happy :-)

cherrybobbins · 08/06/2025 10:38

So after week 2s injection I was seriously stuck to the loo, unsure if it was meds or bug so I decided only way to know was to do week 3 but I did it on Sunday rather than the Friday. I weighed myself this morning and I’ve put on 2 1/2 lb 🤦‍♀️ I did have a bad week of eating and still not feeling great but no side effects at all so I think it was a bug I had. I didn’t have anywhere near as much suppression this past week either but I also had a really bad week at work so wasn’t eating lunch at my regular times. I’m giving it an oh well these things happen and let’s start again so done week 4 this morning and I’ve done it in my stomach rather than my thigh for the first time, I’ve also ordered my 2nd pen but stuck to 2.5 for another month. Glad to see so many people losing and hopefully this week will be good for us all!

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 08/06/2025 10:45

I’ve been so impressed with the medicine I thought I would tell my sister about it. She’s a GP and I thought it might be interesting to know about drinking less and stopping biting nails and anecdotal evidence of helping with ADHA endo etc. first thing she said was she was already on it! First person I’ve told (except husband) and they are already taking it.

MoggiMay · 08/06/2025 10:59

Checking in today!

SW 3rd May 18st 11lb
CW 17st 7.4lb (17.4 is my next target - sooo close!!)
GW 12st 7lb

I’m on the 5mg

Friend of mine is a retired GP. She is very against WLI's when I mentioned them to her, because of unknown side effects and the likelihood (in her opinion) that the weigh will all go back on later.

Went on Mounjaro anyway and didn't tell her!

SaintAgatha · 08/06/2025 11:43

@Seahorsesplendour I weigh myself monthly, I find it far better. I’m not bound by every fluctuation in my weight. I’ve just Googled the 1lb of fat and it’s unreal! Lost 12 of those so far. 😀

Samuraipizzacat · 08/06/2025 12:20

I need to step away from the scales, as I’m getting paranoid. I ate about 4 spoonfuls of ice cream last night, and didn’t really track my food yesterday. I woke up with half a KG back on. I’ve been weighing myself daily

Im in week 3 and the food noise is really creeping back in. Then I eat and can’t eat much. Bring on the next dose, as I can see this needs a step up for me.

Saying that, I’ve seen you all navigate week 3 and it seems to be a thing they the scales don’t budge.

Fatrosrhun · 08/06/2025 12:54

We went back to the horse trials again yesterday. Had a fabulous time. Took another healthy picnic. I did have 1.5 glasses of Prosecco each day we were there. We walked about 7.5 miles while we were there (5 miles on the Thursday) and I can really feel it in my legs this morning.

Im nearing the end of week three too. I had a sneaky peek yesterday and the scales aren’t showing much difference. But I had two fabulous losses the first two weeks so I imagine it will slow down sooner or later! I’m happy plodding on anyway.

Fatrosrhun · 08/06/2025 12:59

I bet it’s quite nice weighing yourself monthly- hopefully a nice surprise. I kind of like the weekly weigh so I know whether I need to rein myself in!

ElsieJay · 08/06/2025 13:02

Week 3 was the least loss for me too.
I seem to recall either upthread or maybe on one of our earlier ones ( what a chatty bunch we are 😂) that that’s when the actual losing of fat begins . Our bodies take a while to catch up with themselves.
Just Googled the pound of fat picture 😱😱.
I was tempted to print it out but couldn’t bring myself to do it - don’t think my printer would have any yellow ink left 🤢!

Fatrosrhun · 08/06/2025 13:13

Years ago, when I did weight watchers, the leader used to have a lb of fat on the desk next to the scales. It was revolting! And huge.
