"Onwards & Downwards" has become our little motto for the days when it all feels a bit tough and that wine / chocolate / cake looks a bit too bloody tempting.

W3D2 for me and i am REALLY struggling to eat… last night i forced myself to have a kiwi and a very small piece of watermelon. This morning i forced myself to have oats with sunflower and linseed seeds. Ive been feeling very sick since and im not sure what to eat for lunch. I dont think i can face lunch but im also thinking i do need to eat to function. Im thinking half an avocado? A nectarine (they are gorgeous so im hoping it will be ok to eat)? I can try and have a boiled egg… would that be enough??
I am meeting with a (naturally very slim) friend tonight at my fave sushi restaurant. hopefully i can manage some food and shes not going to push for more food.

this is not food noise, but its a different kind of anxiety about food which i dont like very much….

@tostaky do you think you could manage a smoothie instead? When I’m feeling nauseous I find a smoothie easier to digest - though appreciate we’re all different.

@Peachblossom25 I have found I have more energy after exercising. But there’s a wall to push through first when all I want to do is go straight to bed after work.

When I had horrific morning sickness, I practically lived off tinned peaches. Are you actually being sick or just feel sick? Sucking some boiled sweets sometimes helps with nausea. If you are being sick then a trip to the pharmacy/docs is probably in order some buccastem might help.

my DS came home for lunch too which i had not expected so it took my mind off the food. I made a little salad with some tofu that was ok. Still feeling very nauseous (but not vomiting) very akin to morning sickness

I'm W3D3 - similar to you and I feel rubbish today too. Queasy and headachey - I just want to go to bed. It's the first time I've really felt SE, but I've also felt the suppression much more this week. Solidarity.

W5D2 for me now. First 5mg injection last night.

Appetite suppression has kicked back in more effectively now (it started to dwindle a bit for the last week). Weigh in today had me up 0.8lb, but generally still going in the right direction.

Fair enough. I think all nuts are high in fat but I’m trying to avoid the carbs so allowing some nuts for protein, they also add a nice crunch. For some reason I need a good crunch at the moment. 🥴

I'm doing an online shop at the moment and thought, 'yes, I too would like a nice crunch!' so I'm thinking of adding a bit of granola or a crunchy cereal to my yoghurt bowls. This feels positively revolutionary to me right now, considering what my old diet was like. A multi-layer yoghurt extravaganza? Sign me up!

Feeling a bit more like myself today. Got back into some jeans that last fit 8 months ago! Unfortunately they're mom jeans and I never know what shoes to wear with them. So comfy though.

So it’s the day to move up to 5mg dose. Really dithering over this. Side effects weren’t really bad on the 2.5mg dose and I have lost about 9lbs, but I’m hungry and don’t feel huge amounts of suppression. So weighing up the fact that I have had a decent loss over the last four weeks against the hunger/lack of suppression I’m going for 3.75mg.

I went straight for the 5mg this morning. No SEs as yet, except I'm freezing but such a cold, wintery feeling day here and I can't move out of sandals now until at least September, so hardly surprising.

love a good crunch! I’ve also been putting chia seeds on, and the other day even some all bran! WHO EVEN AM I! Well done for your jeans. I keep buying new ones. Trying to intersperse new stuff with Vinted buys or DH will be commenting on my spending. Most recently he told me that he was spending all his spare cash on the house and holiday savings and all I do is buy fat jabs and Botox and new clothes. Really need to dial it back.

I was apprehensive and dithered about whether to do 3.75 etc and when the time came to do the injection just thought sod it and went for the normal dose. Spent the morning waiting for reactions and nothing. But haven't suffered with the starting dose apart from ruddy constipation.

(PS I know this isn’t S&B, @DidILeaveTheGasOnbut recommend a converse style with mom jeans. Or Birkenstocks for summer. Also what about those Birkenstock Boston clogs, they would look good. I recently got some cheaper versions from Next. Plus you can’t get too thin for a shoe!)

Been really headachey this afternoon and I’d forgotten had that w1 d1&2 so I guess that’s the increase but am so thankful that food noise and appetite have reduced from last couple of days!!

Apparently it's a thing to want crunchy things when on mounjaro! My friend who is on about month 8 (and over 6 stone down!!) is talking about craving crunchy broccoli....I'm not there yet! It was also mentioned in the article someone shared of two women's experiences.

@Peachblossom25 Yes to tiredness, though have also had a bit of a cold so that didn’t help. Just feel shattered all the time but between DC and the cat I can’t get into bed until at least 10pm, by which point I’m falling into my pillows!

I’m due to start the 5mg next week, got the pen in the fridge ready. I injected a 3.75mg golden dose on Monday and apart from feeling extra tired, no other side effects so far.

I’ve been having loads of seeds. Chia, sunflower, pumpkin and pine nuts. My husband says my Greek yogurt breakfast looks like the bottom of a budgie’s cage! But I love it.
