Hi everyone!

I started MJ around this time last year, but due to costs and unforeseen family circumstances, I fell of the band wagon and took about 6 months off. I’m now a stone heavier than I was. I am back and ready to go again. First pen, back to 2.5mg, arriving tomorrow or Friday.

I found the last thread I was on very supportive so wondered if there’s a few people around who want to join me!

I feel so tired today, has anyone else experienced this as a side effect or maybe I'm just not eating enough? Problem is I don't feel hungry....

Absolutely blooming exhausted. Been reading up and I think I need some electrolyte powders .. apparently a deficit of electrolytes can lead to fatigue. Has anyone else experienced this & used supplements?

On the positive side it’s end of wk 2 and 10llbs down. Whoop whoop.

Oldlady62 · 05/06/2025 18:20

Hi. Took first dose yesterday morning. No SE effects apart from lots of poos !
Tried dieting. Lost 10kg but then platued for months. Tried Orlistat. Lost 2llbs then nothing. Tried Wegovy and did lose but it made me feel awful. Spoke to nurse in Superdrug who said wegovy not suitable as I'm on Thyroxine.
So let's give this a go ! Good luck all xx

I jabbed in the evening last week and this morning for my second dose. No discernible difference so far!

Oh really! Have you lost anything? Any noticeable side effects?

I’ve not had any bad side effects. I was a bit jittery and oddly alert the first couple of days last week!

I’ve lost 4 pounds this week (started at 170 lb). So not as much as some but still good for a week!

Wow that's a great loss. Well done!

I've seen a few say how tired they are so I'm wondering if multi vitamins is ok to take. I'm a bit anxious as I've never done anything like this before but I'm excited to start the journey and see the results ☺️

I’ve been taking my normal multivitamin, I can’t see any reason not to. I was very nervous a week ago and now MJ is my new favourite thing… 😂 You’ll be fine once you start!

Doing my first jab this evening - wish me luck!

so timed because I’m off work tomorrow with a minimally busy day, just the school runs and an appointment, although obviously hoping to avoid too terrible side effects.

User99999999 · 05/06/2025 20:31

I think my nausea has subsided! It’s like a dark green cloud has lifted from me. Such a relief!

I forced down 200g of pasta (cooked weight) with some cheese as it was the only thing I could even half contemplate. I had to force a couple of swallows, and ever since then I’ve felt gradually better!

I still feel nausea, fleetingly, if I happen to look at food. I had to make the kids a normal dinner of course. One of them left half their pizza and normally I’d scoff that right up, Not tonight, straight in the bin!

Potterson13 · 05/06/2025 20:48

Well done on all the losses everyone! I’ve just taken my second jab. Will do my weigh in tomorrow morning, a day late I know. My starting weight was done in the morning and from doing team RH previously where they encourage daily weighing, I know from experience than I can be as much as 5lb heavier in the evening. So I’m potentially saving myself a heartbreak by weighing tomorrow AM 😂

I’m packed and ready to go for my weekend break with my two young boys, partner, best friend and her son. We went last year and I overate and over drank. I’m hoping this year I can make better decisions.

On the alcohol front after my post on Tuesday evening, I haven’t had anything so far. Not promising I won’t have a few wines (if I fancy it) over the weekend, but my aim isn’t necessarily to stop drinking, it’s to manage it during the week when there’s no real reason.

Stablegirl2012 · 05/06/2025 21:07

I’d love to join too! I took my first dose on Tuesday and so far the side effects have been ok - super-thirsty and very tired with a little bit of queasiness but thankfully no diarrhoea or vomiting (yet 👀), so feeling pretty lucky as that could have been traumatic on my commute ..
I got totally stressed about priming the pen but in the end it was absolutely fine

Tinybirdie · 05/06/2025 21:50

Welcome all who are joining us!
I'm doing my second jag tomorrow. Apprehensive again. Think there's that natural worry that this is the injection that will trigger side effects.

Sam187 · 05/06/2025 22:31

@didiimaginethis I felt fatigued this week, I think it's the drop in cals with the same/more exercise. I've just had electrolytes delivered this evening so hopefully that helps tomorrow. Will keep you posted.

@lw88x I started on Monday, other than feeling a bit tired and freezing cold some nights, I've been all good. Even are put this evening and had a small portion of pasta (tapas size) felt fine after. I've noticed if I feel really full after a meal, a walk helps me feel better. Might be the air or the exercise. Good luck!!

KillerMounjaro · 05/06/2025 23:44

I did my first jab late on Sunday evening, so the end of W1D4 for me.
I’ve fine so far- no side effects yet. I’ve been good with eating and it’s not been hard. I’ve lost 7lbs so far, but that always happens when I start a diet so I know I won’t lose that every week!
I’m thinking about protein but not really counting it - same for calories.
I don’t usually eat breakfast and today I also forgot to have lunch. I had some homemade pizza for tea, but less than half what I usually would.

Mamafromthebeach · 06/06/2025 01:29

Hi may I please join? I started this week - on Wegovy. So far no real side effects only decreased appetite - but managing small meals (compared to usual) just fine and very thirsty so drinking tons of water.

Will check in after a week (Monday). Best of luck to us all!

Spinningplates22 · 06/06/2025 05:36

So I seem to have gained back another lb that’s a +2 gain on W2D5
im hitting my protein and my calorie defecit. The only thing is that im not hitting step goals or doing any weights exercises.
I am due my period in the next 72 hours so possible water retention for being at that time of my cycle

shifting12345 · 06/06/2025 06:04

Anyone who is thinking about multivitamins, supplements, electrolytes etc. I take quite a lot already to support a chronic health condition. I checked them all with the juniper pharmacist and they were happy that was all ok.

Obviously I didn’t check absolutely everything under the sun, but your general multivitamins definitely fine and probably sensible if you’re struggling with calories.

BoredReceptionist · 06/06/2025 06:57

I’m now on W1D7, I’ll do my second injection tomorrow morning. Apart from the initial really strong immune response, the side effects have been very minimal, slight constipation, but the appetite reduction has been amazing. Just that absence of thought about food is so freeing. I’m worried I’ll weigh in tomorrow and have no loss, despite having a very good week in terms of food and exercise, I was weak and weighed myself on Tuesday, I’d lost nothing, not a single solitary bean, but I did lose 2kgs last week before I started MJ so maybe that was the easy weight coming off.

👋🏼
how are you feeling this morning? I jabbed at 8:30pm and have woken up feeling…pretty hungry! No side effects though which is good.
it will be interesting to see what I want for breakfast, won’t get a chance to eat until about 9ish after I’ve got kids ready.

Morning! I feel ok, I’m never hungry til about midday so hard to tell! I’m definitely planning to have breakfasts every day now. I have drunk a 750ml bottle of water - I can see me needing the loo a lot more! Grin
