Does anyone have a list of the places that support maintenance?

MedExpress does. One reason I chose them.

I didn’t think MedExpress did - they aren’t listed on Monj as one of the suppliers who will but I haven’t checked them out properly so very happy to be wrong…

This is a list of maintenance friendly companies from Monj… I chose Oushk because they will also keep you on their books (for a fee of course!) and let you order a pen after months of not using one without your weight having to go all the way up to BMI 30 again.

Pardon me, it's two years. When I started, the prices listed, included one called "maintenance", which I think is where I got confused.

Just realised I'm 1lb off of losing 10% of my body weight already (7.5 weeks in). That's a cause for celebration 🎉

You know what? I have the greatest of respect for all of you on this journey who have small children or full time jobs!
i took my my third 5mg yesterday and I’m exhausted! I’m lucky that my only responsibilies are juggling part time work, walking the dog and the gym and that’s literally all I have energy for 😬
I’m happily going to bed at 8pm every night, and have had a day of feeling sicky and tired. Appetite suppression is amazing today but I wonder if that’s why I’m so tired, I’ve hardly eaten anything, but have kept my fluids up.
Hats off to you all!

MiamiMimi · 21/05/2025 18:25

I’ve managed to get 0.8ml from what was left in my 2.5mg pen, does anyone know what this equates to dose wise please? Thanks

0.6 is a full dose so 0.8 is a full dose plus one third of a full dose.

Wow! I wonder how I’ve managed that then?! The pen wouldn’t turn anymore but that seems a lot left?

wordywitch · 21/05/2025 18:46

Do we need to switch to a provider who does maintenance plans before we get to under a BMI of 30? I was planning to switch at some point but I’m very close to that now so wanted to check.

The way I understand it, there is a list of maintenance-friendly pharmacies on monj.co.uk and they will take you with a bmi under 30 with proof of previous prescription (as in - you can prove you have been on MJ)

You must have been very frugal each time you primed the needle :)

I have read on here quite a few people have managed to get more than a full dose out.

I have successfully switched this week with a BMI of 28 - I think lots of places will take you with evidence of a previous prescription.

Aw thank you! I have a full time job and four kids. To be honest I’m so knackered all the time I’m really not sure the MJ has made a difference!!

Who did you move to? I’m still deliberating. (I overthink everything)

Oushk. I liked the sound of their maintenance plans - not sure I am 100% sold on them but I wanted to get established somewhere before my BMI dropped further. Pharmulous and Livewell seem popular too….

TheNinthLock · 21/05/2025 19:38

Thank you. ☺️

Tonight we had to eat out as we are away from home. We went to a pub and I had fish, chips and garden peas. I ate the fish (quite a small piece in batter), half the small pot of peas and 2 chips.

We had to find somewhere that sold Gaviscon because I feel sick and had a touch of heartburn.
gaviscon has helped a bit but still feel awful. I take epilepsy medication at 9 but am afraid to do so just Incase I’m sick.

I presume it was the fat the fish was fried in. Never again

Brilliant, thank you. That’s what I thought but had a panic moment as only 1.5kg to go until I’m out of obese range.

Are the confirmation emails each time we order from our current supplier enough ‘proof of prescription’?

QS90 · 22/05/2025 00:24

Anyone else feeling exhausted?

I've been lucky with no SEs, but am feeling worse as the weeks go on, after initially feeling better. Slept 9 hours last night, then 2 this afternoon. Now late going to sleep, as was up doing everything I didn't do yesterday and today!

Think I'm also ovulating, as had some mittelshmirtz. Not sure whether that could be relevant or not?

Currently doing about 1,200 calories per day, of good food, and having a multivitamin but hasn't helped much so far.

I’ve been on my period and a bit rubbish with drinking this week and it shows on the scales as I’ve only lose a 1/4 of a lb, officially weigh day is tomorrow but I doubt I’ll lose 3lb by then!
