I have the worst mental block with the spelling of this medication!! Almost did it wrong again but THINK it's correct now. Obviously 3rd time's the charm!!

Great work / losses / NSVs so far everyone!

@slowlyshifting can I ask why you've been steadily going up a dose each pen if you feel so awful? I did 2 pens of 2.5 then a first jab of 5mg gave me some issues with my eyes. I dropped down to 3.75 for the next three jabs then tried a 5 again it's been ok. I'm steadily losing 1-2 a week so do not intend to go up further at this stage. Anything above 7.5 feels v high to me. Maybe give it some thought and lower your dose.

SquishyGloopyBum · 08/07/2025 20:32

It’s lovely to know that so many on the April thread are hitting the 2stone loss mark!

I went under 11stone today - 10st 13.7 but still it was nice to see a 10 on the scales. My original target was 10st 10, then revised to 10st 7. Unsure whether to go lower (I weighed 10st years ago but it was hard to maintain so I’m not sure really).

Anyway, it feels close now. I guess I need to think about maintenance too.

RhaenysRocks · 08/07/2025 21:35

I'm still a long way off hitting a goal weight. I'm pleased with my loss so far, about 1st 10lb but as someone said upthread, we may need to branch off at some point to cater better to maintenance and losers. It's really encouraging to have these threads though given the negativity elsewhere about WLI

slowlyshifting · 08/07/2025 21:55

@RhaenysRocks I naively thought that was what you where meant to do and that I would lose weight more quickly at a higher dose. To be fair, being on a higher dose hasn't made me feel any worse than I did previously. If I had read all of this forum before hand, I might have done things differently. I don't intend rushing onto the next level.

ClimbingKilimounjaro · 10/07/2025 08:37

I definitely would have gone straight up the doses if I hadn’t found this group earlier!

That said 7.5mg is ordered for week 17 and I’m feeling good about it. Currently sitting at a 34lb loss with 45-50lb left to go gulp to get down to that elusive healthy BMI that I haven’t seen since my teens/early uni days!

Lundier · 10/07/2025 09:02

Hi all. All my holidays and adventures are complete and I've had a lovely time. Looking forward to some piece and quiet and getting some proper work done now! I've done loads of mad pictures on my holidays that I need to translate into working code.

I've lost absolutely no weight, which as I've been feasting like a medieval king is not a surprise. I'm exactly at the weight I was when I packed to go: 75kg.

I dropped my dose way down to 20 clicks of 5mg for the holiday, to give me capacity to enjoy some very fine dinners, and make sure I had the energy to walk the approx 15-20km per day I would need to. It worked very well. It let me eat but not overeat - I still couldn't finish a restaurant meal and was happy on 2 meals a day. Now I'm going to drop in an extra dose of 20 clicks after 5 days to step up a bit and try to get my weight down over the next 7 weeks when I'm only working and not gallivanting. I would like to get to 68kg by September.

I'm very bad in the heat so I have been trying to stay at home in the hottest months of the year, but apparently it's going to be boiling here too. I will be cowering in my house until it's over. 😅It's very pretty, but heat attacks me!

34lbs in 17 weeks is amazing! Just think what 2026 will look like with a new you. 😀

That’s brilliant that you didn’t put any on from your holiday. Well done and onwards…!

Newmum110 · 10/07/2025 12:20

13 weeks in & I'm 36.5lbs down. I can't express how life changing this is, I've lost weight in the past but every day thinking about food was a struggle, now I just automatically eat less without thinking about it. Officially no longer obese either.
Onwards & downwards, everyone is doing great.

Squiffy01 · 10/07/2025 16:29

Another Thursday and another weigh in. Lost 2.6lbs.
14 weeks and 39.9lbs gone.

I still can’t really tell. Still can’t get my wedding ring on. But I shall keep working at it.

Wonderfulstuff · 10/07/2025 16:39

There was some chat upthread about Pharmacy2U. I ordered from them on Sunday and received my pen today. All fairly smooth on the order front - I submitted my order along with ID and pics of pen and me with all the wobbly bits on display and was approved 24 hours later.

Delivery via Royal Mail wasn't so smooth. It was meant to be delivered on 10/07 which worked for me but I then received an email saying it was going to be delivered on 09/07 and had to be signed for. Nobody was going to be in so I rescheduled for 10/07 but for reasons only know to themselves RM tried to deliver on 09/07 regardless. They've just re-delivered and unsurprisingly after 2 days in a delivery van during a heatwave the cool packs were no longer cool. The pen doesn't feel hot but I am concerned it's not been kept below 30 degrees.

Not sure where this leaves me as it's a royal mail issue not a Pharmacy2U issue. Now missing the convenience of just going to my local pharmacy as per my previous 3 pens. Much easier but so much more expensive!

SaddlebagSal · 10/07/2025 17:30

NSV - my annual blood sugar test came back and I’ve gone from 43mmol/mol to 34! Ie from pre diabetic to completely normal. So mounjaro has done its primary job and sorted that out.

On the other hand my total cholesterol has risen and is now classified as “borderline”, although my good and bad cholesterol levels are ok. Not sure what’s going on there as my diet has definitely improved over the last three months, considerably less processed food and saturated fats. Maybe that will take longer to settle.

@RhaenysRocks, @ClimbingKilimounjaro I have just ordered 7.5mg for my next dose, rather than the 10mg I am currently on this week. I will be interested to see if it makes any difference, apart from being cheaper of course! 😀

The interesting thing about being on this diet, is that my husband is very happy about the weight HE has been losing, just by eating smaller portions/ more healthier. Mind you, he has always been slimmer than me (though never lighter)! 🤣

Let us know how you get on on the 7.5mg.

My husband is very svelte, tall, slim etc runs marathons and cycles and even he has lost the 10lbs that have crept on since we moved to our forever home two years ago.

I’ve sold a size 18 jumpsuit from Fatface and found the same one in a size 14 on vinted - hoping and praying it fits! The 18 was always comfortable never tight but now there are vast swathes of material around the gut and crotch that just look ridiculous 🤣🤣🤣

I have opened up the bag under the bed of size 10 and 12 clothes from the past 20 years (I’m not a hoarder, just very much live in my clothes until they fall apart!) and Wowee the buzz of some of them fitting (snugly) is insane. I reckon another 20lbs and I’ll comfortably be in my pre children wardrobe.

I was overweight by about 7 or 8lbs at my first booking appt when I was 22 years old so really haven’t ever been a healthy BMI. It feels quite life changing to be on the trajectory of potentially getting there!

Thanks but I don’t think my 1lb a week loss can be described as rapid, nor am I on a VLC diet.

However, I’m confident that my goal of losing enough weight to go from obese to a normal range BMI, eating a much better diet and getting my blood sugar in a normal range is probably the most important thing I can do to improve my overall health. Maybe up my exercise level too. I don’t drink or smoke so ok on that front.

i expect I’ll get called back for another test next year so we’ll see.

Lundier · 10/07/2025 20:31

Oh yes that's right sorry, Sal. The rapid weight loss described in the study is about 2lb a week. A lot of people on here are losing at that rate but I should have averaged your loss before suggesting it.

NotsosunnyShropshire · 10/07/2025 21:22

I took my first 7.5mg jab this evening. Already feeling a bit ill in this heat even before having the jab. Hope it doesn’t hit me too hard this weekend.

Haven’t weighed myself as feeling a little bloated. However, have gone down a size in trousers so small nsv.

No worries, there’s lots of people on this thread and it’s impossible to remember who is at which stage! Appreciate your thought and support though.

This is really quite inspiring! I’m due to go on holiday week after next and part of me doesn’t want to go because I’m so focussed on my weight loss journey! I’ve already decided to keep going with 3.75mg while I’m away. I’d be absolutely delighted if I didn’t gain but I don’t want to be worrying about what I’m eating while I’m on holiday so will try and be relaxed and enjoy nice food and wine within the limits of what the MJ allows. I’m fully accepting that there will be a bit of damage on the scales at the other end but then I’ll get right back on the horse. I have a September wedding to go to and would love to be into the next stone bracket by then…

Squiffy01 · 11/07/2025 06:57

Can anyone tell me why my fingers are still fat???

I don’t understand it. My wedding rings still don’t fit. I’m not far off what I was when I got engaged. And I was more than I am throughout pregnancy and after and I was taking my rings on and off then so not like they were just stuck on.

i don’t get it. It’s not because of the recent heat as this was the same last time I lost weight in the winter. And I always try them on in the morning before it is hot.

saxonyv · 11/07/2025 07:55

Can anyone explain conversions to me please (image attached) if 167lbs is 11 stone 13 why does it come up at 11.9286 (I went on a website to convert today but I usually use the conversion tool on my calculator)

Because stones are not decimal.

11 stone is 11 x 14 (because there are 14 pounds in a stone) so 11 stone is 154 pounds. So you weigh 11stone + 13 pounds (154+13).

The 11.9 is the stone broken into tenths so you weigh 11 and 9 tenths of a stone also. I don’t know why it does the decimal - nobody measures weight that way.

does that help? :)

Trying doing it in two small doses this week, as I saw suggested on here. Not because the SE have been too terrible, but because of the tailing off towards the end of the week. Interested to see if it's any better / different.
