It seems really slow compared to others? Anyone similar? I have 1st 5lbs to go.

I’m not a lot different to you I dont think,
week 14
1stone 10lb down

I've been on it very similar length of time to you, and have lost more, BUT I'm still 13 stone 8 lbs. I think the amount of weight you have to lose does really make the most difference to how quickly you lose - I'm expecting a slow down when I'm only a stone(!) from goal.

It must be frustrating though - I think on a successful diet, it's a bit of a rush seeing the numbers on the scales go down! But alas can't carry on at the same rate forever x

Thank you for the link, I think I’ve actually found something quite good I’ve found a 7.5mg pen through pharmacy2U for £129 so I think that’s quite good.

what have others been paying for 7.5mg??

That’s a good price. I paid £169

RhaenysRocks · 05/07/2025 07:33

@Doidontimmm yes similar here...about I stone 10lb but I still have, ideally, about another 3 stone to lose (short, low healthy BMI). Im quite happy. It's the first time in decades of dieting that I have consistent, sustained weight loss that feels entirely doable.

Pepperwaggytail · 05/07/2025 07:36

Knakeredd · 04/07/2025 15:28

I am just about the inject 10mg for the first time. I have moved up doses each month. I have just cracked through another stone milestone - so I have now just sqeaked into the 10s - not been there for 15 years. I am shifting 1kg a week - but I need to up my steps and focus more on eating more nutritiously and doing more weights. I have a big wedding in Sept and hope to be 9st 4lb by then - which is doable at the rate I am losing but I want my arms toned - so I need to stope talking about that and get on with it.

I have lost 15kg since April 1st and hope to shift another 10kg by mid Sept.

You have done amazingly well! 🥳

I’m now just under 10st 4 - and like you not been this weight for at least 10 years. Still not sure how low to go - I still have back fat!
The last time I lost this amount of weight it took me 9 months of fasting. 😬
I think having a little weight loss stall (holiday, so missed a dose then doing 2.5mg split dosing for two weeks, and not really losing anything) has helped restart things. I’ve lost 2lb this week and just increased one of my split doses to 3.75mg. So over the 8 days I’ve had 6.25mg with no side effects thank God!

Me! I’m just at the end of week 12 and I’ve lost around 1st 4lb so far.

I’d love to have lost more but hoping slower loss is more sustainable for me in the long term, plus it’s allowing me to still have a social life. We’ve got extended family visiting this weekend and an event tomorrow and I don’t think it’s obvious to the casual observer that I’m doing anything different which suits me.

I’m also reminding myself that over 1st loss is a real achievement for me, and thinking about the cumulative total that’s gone rather than the weekly little bits on the scales really helps too. I think it was on the first thread that someone said it went on one pie at a time and it’s coming off that way too - that really stuck with me!

Lundier · 05/07/2025 07:46

1st 4 is 18 pounds in 12 weeks, or 1.5 pounds a week. That's a calorie deficit of 3500+1750 = 5,250 a week or 750 calories a day. It's at least a pie a day - pie and chips even.

I think it's a really huge change to manage to consistently cut your calories by a full meal every day. You're doing brilliantly.

PinkCatInATree · 05/07/2025 07:52

I am mid week 11 and have 1lb to go to 2 stones down which is great (but also necessary starting from over 156kg). I have never in 50 years sustained a downwards trajectory for 3 months. There's a long way to go but I can see a path.

Like some others I am trying to fly under the radar so only my husband knows - whilst others think I am just making healthier choices (which I am). My biggest change is not secretly eating ... so I am off-setting the cost of the pens against the groceries savings! Husband says it's an investment in health and not simply a spend.

I have dropped down into the 16s today! ☺️

SW 19st 2
CW 16st 13

The next big milestone will be dropping below 40 BMI and no longer being morbidly obese.

Bravo!!! 👏

Sorry to hear of the stallers - v frustrating 😣. I can’t help with changing suppliers as I’ve stuck with the same one as I’m v lazy 🤪

Weigh in day today (stats are getting v long!!). I’m within a whisper of ‘normal’ BMI so maybe by next week 🤞

W13 D1
SW:12.12 (BMI 30.3)
TW: 10.5 (-2.5 stone - BMI 24.2)
CW: 10.10 (BMI 25.1 😖)

W1: - 6lb
W2: - 3lb
W3: - 2lb
W4: - 3lb (total 1 stone 💪)
W5: -3lb
W6: -0lb
W7: -3lb
W8: -2lb (total 1 1/2 stones 🙌)
W9: -0lb (holiday)
W10: -2lb
W11: -3lb
W12: -1lb (total 2 stones 💪)
W13: -2lb (long weekend away)

After our weekend away I came back and have done a semi fast of c.800-1000 cals per day (burnt 2.6k cals yesterday according to my Fitbit!) and that has successfully eliminated holiday excess (drink rather than food 🙈)

NSV: my overhanging knee fat which prevented me wearing anything above the knee has pretty much gone so wardrobe options have been expanded 🙌

Also, a 30lb loss is almost 14kg. Our shared suitcase for the weekend weighed just under 10 😮

This is wonderful to read! We started at similar BMI too.

I totally get what you mean about knee fat, I’m starting to wear shorter dresses again and sleeveless tops! I’m also not needing to wear my chin rub shorts for the first time in years. (Although I do wear them sometimes still as they smooth me out!)

I posted on Thursday feeling gloomy and that I had stalled at 11st 4lbs.,I think however it was probably just the heat as I weighed on Friday at 11st 1lb which gives me my 2stone loss.

I must try remember that it’s a marathon and not a sprint. Onwards into the 10s for me 😀😀

Workgetsintheway · 05/07/2025 08:59

Feeling a bit deflated this morning - week 14
and I’ve gained 1lb. Haven’t done anything different other than had a stinking cold & the hot weather making me feel generally ‘blurgh’ all week. Since I moved up to 5ml losses have really slowed ( & feel nauseous) …do I move back down to 2.5 where I was steadily losing 1-2 per wk? Or up & risk more side effects ( which I’m nervous of.
SW 14.8
CW 12.12
only 3 to go to 2 stone…any help/ advice appreciated! X

The weather really affected me, weigh tomorrow and see. Plus make sure you are drinking enough water.

how many weeks have you been on 5mg? I did 4 weeks at 3.75 which helped. Maybe stick with it or go to 3.75 rather than back to 2.5.

Doidontimmm · 05/07/2025 09:28

Seems like a lot of us are in the same boat losing quite slowly. I’m happy if it keeps going this way, I feel so much more confident & happy in my weight already.

What a great husband! 😀

Im also flying under the radar and it’s definitely been the right decision for me. I love feeling in control of my weight for the first time ever. Mounjaro is clearly doing something to my body other than help me stay in a calorie deficit, I’m eating more than I ever did in my fasting/low carb cycles of dieting.

Im sure some day in the future the weight loss jabs will become accessible as tablets and will become very widely used and much cheaper and all the sensationalism will stop.

SquishyGloopyBum · 05/07/2025 11:40

Im also flying under the radar. It’s funny because those who know have commented how good I’m looking. I’ve had zero comments from close friends and family who don’t know. My own mother, although she rarely compliments anyway. I’ve had a few that I know of the jabs have the same thing.

I don’t know if it’s politeness or jealousy or what! And it’s definitely noticeable in me so it’s not that I don’t think!

QS90 · 05/07/2025 11:54

We had a training workshop last week, on "being respectful at work" (everyone did, I wasn't in a disciplinary or anything!) @SquishyGloopyBum . You're not supposed to comment on anyone's body, apparently. Even if it's a compliment or something like "have you lost weight"? You can't comment on a person's height, hair, feet, age, dress sense etc etc, because it might offend. Not as a joke, not as a conversation starter, not as a concern...

I think that's the way it's going, culturally. So this might be something to do with why no-one has commented.

Thanks for the reply, I’ve done 5 weeks at 5mg, I was thinking of perhaps splitting the dose 2.5 twice a week but maybe 3.75 might be a better idea. I can put up with the nausea if I’m actually losing but just feel totally stuck atm & wondering when I’ll ever see another minus.
Water is a constant issue as I don’t drink enough for fear of constantly needing the loo. So have been putting electrolytes in water but probs still not drinking enough. Also worried I’m not eating enough…but on 2.5 I was losing for 8 weeks only moved up as thought the suppression was waning a bit.
🤞Hope the week ahead is good to all of us xx

Hot weather makes us retain water. I would also imagine that having a heavy cold our bodies will be prioritising fighting that than burning fat.

Also my pattern is to lose and then plateau for a few weeks. This has happened on other diets that I've done in the past. On this thread (or the last one) I described how I plateaued for 3 weeks solid - then lost 1lb a day for 5 days.

How is your supression and how much are you eating and drinking?

Is the nausea associated with any particulr types of food - fatty or greasy? I cant currys (spice and fat) or drink fizzy drinks as the burping is really unconfortable. I am doing keto and intermittnat fasting - and have shifted over the 14 weeks that I have been on it from 2 meals a day to one meal a day. Would this help your nausea as it might be caused by slow transit through the gut?

I have gone up the doses each 4 weeks and I dont regret it.

QS90 · 06/07/2025 00:04

I think electrolytes make you retain water too @Workgetsintheway ? They seemed to do so for me, which I thought made sense, as salt and sugar in the diet encourage water to stay in you, if I'm not mistaken (because of osmosis maybe??).

I hate the constant need to pee too 😒 Michael Moseley RIP said that the constant bathroom trips, stop you being sedentary. So there is that as a silver lining 🙃.

Medexpress have issued me with some tablets for nausea which are amazing and last for hours, it might be worth you asking your provider for something to help.
Split dosing has also definitely helped with side effects and after a stall weights dropping off again.

I know what you mean about water and toilet trips!!

I try see it as a good thing, I’m flushing my system out. @QS90I like what Michael Moseley (RIP) said, very true!!!

PhantomErik · 06/07/2025 09:57

Wk15 another 1lb off this week which is ok.

Our house/life is chaotic at the moment, kitchen renovation, prom, dc birthday x 2, school trip, work experience the list feels endless! I've got no cooking facilities to speak of & 5 people to feed. We've had so many take aways & meals out so I suppose 1lb is still a win.

Anyway enough excuses, I've felt really well this week with no side effects.
