I have the worst mental block with the spelling of this medication!! Almost did it wrong again but THINK it's correct now. Obviously 3rd time's the charm!!

Great work / losses / NSVs so far everyone!

@wordywitch a lot of it will be water weight and physical weight of food in your guts. I would expect to see quite a bit drop off in the next couple of days. It’s frustrating though isn’t it? I’m still dealing with the repercussions of a hen weekend..: why is it so hard to lose and so easy to gain???

wordywitch · 03/07/2025 10:49

Thanks @Incognitoburrito88 I know you’re right and most of that is water weight and will drop off in the next week or so. Just annoying timing as I have surgery at the end of the month and am pretty sure I’m going to have to stop taking MJ again for a week or two prior so this month is going to be messed up. I keep telling myself it’s only one month out of the many months this journey will take and trying to keep things in perspective.

Doidontimmm · 03/07/2025 13:20

@wordywitch I also put on a bit after my hols but it was gone within 2 weeks.

SquishyGloopyBum · 03/07/2025 13:54

frustrating for me, week 12 today and I wanted to have got to 2stone loss but alas I’m the same as last week. I was away at the weekend but super busy and I ate healthily too. Will plod on. Hopefully better next week.

Bit disappointed only 1.3lbs off this week.
I’ve had some chocolate today and yesterday which I haven’t had in months now starting to worry it has stopped working.

TC4 · 03/07/2025 20:05

So I’m going to need to get my next pen very soon I’m pretty sure I’m going to go for the 7.5mg now - does anyone have any discount codes or anything are they still a thing?? Or anyone know the best place to look for discounts (obviously from reputable pharmacies/places)

fox919 · 03/07/2025 23:26

@TC4I have discount codes for both medexpress and ZAVA if either of those are any good to you?

fox919 · 03/07/2025 23:29

@TC4I think numan offer quite a substantial discount but I haven’t used them yet as I wanted to wait until the cost was more (maybe 10mg or higher) and it would make a significant difference. You can also check the monj page which shows the current prices and discounts https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/

Thanks for the reply I’m afraid I’ve actually used both of those previously so I don’t think a code would work (I think you have to be a new customer don’t you?)

Thank you for the link, I think I’ve actually found something quite good I’ve found a 7.5mg pen through pharmacy2U for £129 so I think that’s quite good.

what have others been paying for 7.5mg??

WinterOnItsWayOut · 04/07/2025 07:37

Sorry to hear of the stallers - v frustrating 😣. I can’t help with changing suppliers as I’ve stuck with the same one as I’m v lazy 🤪

Weigh in day today (stats are getting v long!!). I’m within a whisper of ‘normal’ BMI so maybe by next week 🤞

W13 D1
SW:12.12 (BMI 30.3)
TW: 10.5 (-2.5 stone - BMI 24.2)
CW: 10.10 (BMI 25.1 😖)

W1: - 6lb
W2: - 3lb
W3: - 2lb
W4: - 3lb (total 1 stone 💪)
W5: -3lb
W6: -0lb
W7: -3lb
W8: -2lb (total 1 1/2 stones 🙌)
W9: -0lb (holiday)
W10: -2lb
W11: -3lb
W12: -1lb (total 2 stones 💪)
W13: -2lb (long weekend away)

After our weekend away I came back and have done a semi fast of c.800-1000 cals per day (burnt 2.6k cals yesterday according to my Fitbit!) and that has successfully eliminated holiday excess (drink rather than food 🙈)

NSV: my overhanging knee fat which prevented me wearing anything above the knee has pretty much gone so wardrobe options have been expanded 🙌

Also, a 30lb loss is almost 14kg. Our shared suitcase for the weekend weighed just under 10 😮

what have others been paying for 7.5mg??

You’re welcome, I was also planning to use pharmacy2u for next pen!

I paid £140 for my current 7.5 pen, reordered with medexpress as they emailed me a 20% off code so went down from £170 to £140

Thank you for replying! I think I will go with the £129 for 7.5mg pen I’m sure I’ve heard of pharmacy2U in here before so as long as they are a reputable company il go for that

TC4 · 04/07/2025 09:48

So Fridays have always been my weigh day (I weigh everyday but take my stats on a Friday) and I jab Friday evening. I haven’t done a stats update post for a while as I have been away quite a bit and also was a bit stuck for a while but moving up to 7.5mg seems to have got things moving again - I need to start having a better look at what I’m eating though and make sure I’m getting enough nutrients but I’m happy with my progress

04/07 week 14 todays weight 88.4kg average weight 88.4kg loss this week 2kg total loss 10.9kg (about 1stone 10lb or 24lb)

Starting BMI 35.6 current BMI 31.7
Starting weight 99.3kg
Planning to take my 2nd dose 7.5mg tonight before bed

Can I ask how long a gap in order you had before they sent the code? I’ve skipped an order with them now after using for 3 pens as cost was too much higher than others but would happily go back to them if they did this. They must know people would… I’m happy with them in all ways other than price!

StrikeForever · 04/07/2025 13:30

I’d also love to know how long it is before Medexpress send the 20% off code

fox919 · 04/07/2025 13:38

My first order was at the end of march, then used zava in April, reordered from med express on the 1st June with the discount code, but it was a summer promotion discount code that ended on 2nd June. But I guess if they do seasonal promotion codes they’re likely to do more in the future (e.g Xmas). I’ve also wondered if they may send further discount codes if it’s been a while since your last order to try to encourage customers to return, I guess we’ll see!

ClimbingKilimounjaro · 04/07/2025 13:47

Yes same, I like medexpress and the service but the price is 😫

Knakeredd · 04/07/2025 15:20

Have a look on the Monj site they have codes for existing customers for some pharmacies - eg Zava £20 off - but the pharmacies dont tell existing customers directly.

Knakeredd · 04/07/2025 15:28

I am just about the inject 10mg for the first time. I have moved up doses each month. I have just cracked through another stone milestone - so I have now just sqeaked into the 10s - not been there for 15 years. I am shifting 1kg a week - but I need to up my steps and focus more on eating more nutritiously and doing more weights. I have a big wedding in Sept and hope to be 9st 4lb by then - which is doable at the rate I am losing but I want my arms toned - so I need to stope talking about that and get on with it.

I have lost 15kg since April 1st and hope to shift another 10kg by mid Sept.

TC4 · 04/07/2025 16:13

I’ve realised something today as well my weight is now finally below what I was when I had my first midwife appointment with my daughter who is now 3.5 yrs old 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Doidontimmm · 04/07/2025 18:40

WK15 - 1st 6lbs down.

It seems really slow compared to others? Anyone similar? I have 1st 5lbs to go.

TC4 · 01/07/2025 08:16

Thanks for your reply, I haven’t got a chance to read the whole thing right now as I need to hurry this morning. But to reassure you this is not me doing anything with doses I’m trying to work it out because I’m worried about a person who is actually providing pens to people but has no idea what she is dealing with or how to dose

the pens she is getting is Tirzepatide 20mg per 3ml - 6.66mg/ml and this is what I was trying to calculate as they are still advising the same doses 2.5mg,5mg etc

believe it or not I’m actually medically trained and do have an idea of drug calculations but am rubbish at explaining (dyslexia) what I’m doing or how I’m getting it. But I think this stupid women has been giving complete wrong advice and one of my colleagues sadly has a one from her I wanted to be able to go in today with the right calculations and say this is what you should be using if you are happy to risk using the pen provided by the other person - I know a lot of that sounds vague but I was just trying to work out the calculations in my head

Edited

If you work in healthcare, I'd not go anywhere near this. But going in to work with calculations you could be seen to be encouraging this terribly dangerous practice. You could lose your registration (if that applies to you).

Sunshineandpool · 04/07/2025 18:46

I have dropped down into the 16s today! ☺️

The next big milestone will be dropping below 40 BMI and no longer being morbidly obese.

You have the whole situation wrong thanks though - I’m not involved in it, I don’t know anything about it, I’m not and never would use it and the person I’m speaking to and was working something out for isnt the person giving it out I don’t speak to her and I don’t trust her it was just for our own Interest as we are both using Mounjaro the correct way from reputable sources thank you
