I have the worst mental block with the spelling of this medication!! Almost did it wrong again but THINK it's correct now. Obviously 3rd time's the charm!!

Great work / losses / NSVs so far everyone!

I’ve had this but didn’t realise it was related!
I keep getting the sensitivity on my arm and I’m having to take my watch off.
I had shingles a while ago and it’s a very similar sensation, like a nervy feeling in the top layers of skin

Yes that’s exactly how I feel just the top
of the skin and definitely a nervy type pain - how strange I wonder if it definitely is related. But I can’t see what else it would be for me
as I’ve not had anything else I could put it down to, i initially thought I’d splashed myself with kettle water on my stomach as I thought I had a tiny red patch but I don’t now and the feeling is still there, but it’s gone from my ankle/leg 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

TC4 · 30/06/2025 21:58

SaddlebagSal · 30/06/2025 13:01

Me too! Random bits of my skin that are sore to the touch, but completely fine the next day. Usually on the arms or legs.

It’s very strange isn’t it it must be related though

TC4 · 30/06/2025 23:40

Hi all this isn’t for me but does anyone have a link to or a picture of the micro doses of Mounjaro like when people have taken 1.25mg or 3.75mg I just need something as a visual to try to work something out

TC4 · 30/06/2025 23:48

Also rather than second guessing myself have a look at my (dyslexic) calculations and see if you think I’ve worked it out right.

but remember this isn’t for me and it isn’t actually specifically for Mounjaro but just take a look at the calculations is my brain correct

Taking this at face value and don’t wish to cause offence - what do you think this, your numbers don’t make sense? You need to state units - so many people confuse the mg (mass of dissolved tirzepatide) with the ml (volume of solution) and do not know what a click is. This is dangerous - none of us here recommend going off label - however if any of us choose to it should only be with a full understanding of exactly how much we are injecting. Never rush, or trust someone else anonymously online’s calculation or click chart. Myself included! Only do it if you can replicate the maths and understand. Or have someone at home who can.

Can you tell I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet about people meddling with the dozes when they don’t understand the maths so I always come on and explain! 🙂

The calculation is always exactly the same:

The dose that you actully take (either clicks or ml) divided by normal amount (60 or 0.6) then multiply by dose strength of pen in mg.

example 1. To get 3.75mg from a 5mg pen.

45clicks/ 60clicks x 5mg = 3.75 mg

or 0.45ml/0.6ml x 5mg =3.75mg

example 2: to get 10mg from a 7.5mg pen

80/60clicks x 7.5mg =10 mg

or 0.8ml/0.6ml x 7.5 = 10mg

I hope this makes sense, try it out for the pen you have - I think you said below you have a 7.5mg at the moment. This means 0.6ml or 60 clicks of that pen contains 7.5mg.

10clicks = 10/607.5=1.25mg
20clicks= 20/60
7.5=2.5mg
25clicks=25/607.5=3.125mg
45clicks=45/60
7.5=5.625mg

all of this is just ratios and works same with the volume instead of clicks if using a syringe to measure in ml.

0.1ml = 0.1/0.67.5=1.25mg
0.2ml = 0.3/0.6
7.5=3.75mg
0.25ml = 0.25/0.67.5=3.125mg
0.45ml = 0.45/0.6
7.5=5.625mg

it all hinges around 0.6ml or 60clicks so sense check your calculation.

If you take less than 0.6 or 60 from a pen you are getting less than the stated dose by the proportion of 0.6 or 60 you take.

and if you take more than 0.6 or 60 that’s where you need to be very careful as you are taking more than the stated dose of that pen proportionally. This gets really important above 7.5mg as you can get enough out of the extra (hate the term golden) dose to go higher than the next normal step up which is too big a jump. Eg 0.8ml out of a 10mg pen is
0.8/0.6*10=13.333mg (next step up should not be above 12.5) but some people always take as much as they can get out the pen at the end - which was ok with eg a 2.5 pen as wasn’t more than 5mg.

please take care if doing anything other than the instructions, don’t rush and record what you have taken.

wlinewbie0425 · 01/07/2025 05:42

I don’t know why but can’t edit my last post 😩 and it’s removed the asterisks ‘*’ I used for multiply out of habit in the below as it thought I was indicating italic sections of text - edited here to use ‘x’.

10clicks = 10/60 x 7.5 = 1.25mg
20clicks = 20/60 x 7.5 = 2.5mg
25clicks = 25/60 x 7.5 = 3.125mg
45clicks = 45/60 x 7.5 = 5.625mg

all of this is just ratios and works same with the volume instead of clicks if using a syringe to measure in ml.

0.1ml = 0.1/0.6 x 7.5 =1.25mg
0.2ml = 0.3/0.6 x 7.5 =3.75mg
0.25ml = 0.25/0.6 x 7.5 =3.125mg
0.45ml = 0.45/0.6 x 7.5 =5.625mg

RhaenysRocks · 01/07/2025 07:02

Hi @diian love your story. I started at 14.6 in April. Currently 12.13. I'm v short so BMI says I'd need to 11 even to just be overweight and not obese and 9 something for not overweight. It feels a long way off and I haven't been below 10 since about 2004! A long way but not undoable,which I never really felt before. Seem to be ok on 5mg so I'm hoping to stick with that. I haven't told anyone except my DP and one friend. Not sure why really, just think some would be weird about it.

W13d1.
SW - 13st11.8
CW - 12st1.8 (2lbs lost this week)
total loss - 1st11lbs
GW - 10st
I’ve done 6.25 the past 2 weeks, but I’ve had a bit more food noise this week so think I’m going to do 7.5 today. Haven't been keeping up with the thread but I hope everyone’s feeling good and has a good week

Pepperwaggytail · 01/07/2025 07:51

Just had a few days away and haven’t put any weight on! I felt like I’d been eating loads, but in reality probably a lot less than I would have pre Mounjaro, but I’ve had a fair few beers (including a few 0% ones) and wines.

I checked my happy scale app and I’ve really just hovered around 10st 6 for the whole of June while being on holiday for quite a lot of it! So I’m concluding that 2.5mg on a split dose regime is not really doing enough to drop the pounds (only the £!😂) So while I’m delighted to have maintained with no side effects, I want to shift this last 6lb.

So I jabbed 30 clicks of 7.5 pen last night which is a 3.75 dose and I’ll decide how much to jab in 4 days time depending on suppression/SEs. I’ll maybe just do 20 clicks next time to add a 2.5 dose. I think I need a minimum of 5mg to lose weight now.

A fab NSV is that I felt ok to wear a bikini with friends and didn’t hate myself in all the photographs my friend was snapping all weekend 😎

Thanks for your reply, I haven’t got a chance to read the whole thing right now as I need to hurry this morning. But to reassure you this is not me doing anything with doses I’m trying to work it out because I’m worried about a person who is actually providing pens to people but has no idea what she is dealing with or how to dose

the pens she is getting is Tirzepatide 20mg per 3ml - 6.66mg/ml and this is what I was trying to calculate as they are still advising the same doses 2.5mg,5mg etc

believe it or not I’m actually medically trained and do have an idea of drug calculations but am rubbish at explaining (dyslexia) what I’m doing or how I’m getting it. But I think this stupid women has been giving complete wrong advice and one of my colleagues sadly has a one from her I wanted to be able to go in today with the right calculations and say this is what you should be using if you are happy to risk using the pen provided by the other person - I know a lot of that sounds vague but I was just trying to work out the calculations in my head

Apprenante · 01/07/2025 09:15

That just sounds dangerous! I'd be telling your friend to go to a proper supplier. I guess this lady is cheaper but oh so risky!

EllaSaturday · 01/07/2025 09:23

Oh my goodness... reached 10 stone 3, so now top of healthy BMI. Not been here for over 20 years.
Some of it due to struggling to eat much in the heat but still, I am amazed.
Still some weight to lose as I want to be comfortably in the healthy range, but that now feels actually achievable.
Will start looking at the sort of calorie levels I will need to maintain as well.

wlinewbie0425 · 01/07/2025 09:47

@TC4that’s shocking. I’m not sharing any calcs based on that and neither should you. You need to advise your friend not to inject stuff that isn’t licensed here into her body from an illegal source. My best guess is that they’ve got hold of compounded zepbound from the US or elsewhere as they have those sort of quoted concentrations. That’s the best hope. But no guarantee it’s not fake or what it may contain at what concentration. Or how it’s been stored.

you are medically trained. If you know where she got it you should report them immediately. These people are the reason we may lose access or have it more heavily restricted in future. And have more headlines of serious side effects, or worse, deaths.

Interesting as I have nerve damage in the fingers of my left hand from a brachial plexus injury 5 years ago. It was serve when it happened (muscle loss, pain, spasm, weakness in my shoulder, arm and hand) but has resolve to just numbness/tingling and wekness in my fingers. But the uncontrolled hand spasms have returned (infrequent and not too bothersome) recently - only just connected MJ reading this post. The most bizarre thing is that I bought an Apple watch (get me!) recently and I cant use it as it causes a pain in my wrist - even when I change arms. So maybe something in it?

This is interesting - I’ve had to stop wearing my garmin full time and only when I exercise as I get this in my wrist when I do. Serious tingling and numbness and muscle spasms.

I looked this up on Apple forum - and its a thing. Not necessarily MJ then - I wouldnt know as only started waering Apple watch after taking MJ.

For me I dont need it when exercising - as I know I am exercising - need it for the steps. Also its connected to my private health insurance which if you allow them to track your activity they provide free rewards for different achievement - so bit of a pain.

There is a side effect of GLP1 called Allodynia which is a nerve pain/ sensitivity. Below is a link to the Oushk Pharmacy Info page. I think the advice given was to reduce the dose for a short period and then re-challenge with a higher dose, and often the symptoms are reduced or disappear. Maybe seek advice from your supplier?

Hope this is helpful! xx

Thank you for this information, I will
keep an eye on what happens with my next does and go from there my symptoms are certainly not as bad as some sound so hopefully it will just be the one off, the pain in my ankle has gone but then graze like feeling on my stomach is still there without anything to see and it’s not even at the injection site so who knows but il keep this in mind and keep an eye thank you

Incognitoburrito88 · 02/07/2025 08:59

Morning everyone. Haven’t posted for ages but I come and read everyone’s posts every day. It’s lovely to see so many of us doing so well.

i’m feeling frustrated this morning as I’ve had an entirely predictable gain! I was 11st 8 on Friday (1lb off 2 stone down) but didn’t jab and instead went to a hen weekend where I ate and drank all the food and prosecco. Was 11.11 on Monday, 11.9 yesterday then back up to 11.10 today.

i absolutely know some of it is water and it’s a marathon not a sprint etc but it’s still frustrating. I want to get out of the 11’s so badly. I took my 3.75mg dose on Sunday evening when I got back and am straight back into my normal eating pattern so hopefully things will start to move. I have noticed I’ve not had as much satiety and wondering if that’s due to my late dose. Depending on how I feel I may jab again on Friday.

I’m on holiday for two weeks at the end of July and I think I’m going to carry on jabbing throughout but not actively ‘diet’ while I’m away.

NSV I spent most of the weekend in a bikini and I didn’t hate myself (except when I saw the photos!!) At one point I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror and actually did a double take!

Squiffy01 · 02/07/2025 10:33

Continuing on with jabbing on a Wednesday like last week but will keep my weigh in to Thursdays.

upped my dose this week so will see how it goes. I felt quite hungry this week and was really picky and snacky which I haven’t been normally since starting back in April so thought I would try going up a bit and see if that helps.
I fully expect to have gained tomorrow but take comfort in the fact I won’t fall off the wagon with it cause of MJ.

SaddlebagSal · 02/07/2025 11:07

I’m still a fraction of a pound off one stone down, and the munchies are slowly returning. So I’ve got a 10 mg pen in the fridge and I’ll up the dose from 7.5mg tomorrow.

I’m feeling much better (i.e. not dizzy) now the weather is cooler so happy to try it out.

wordywitch · 03/07/2025 09:58

Been away for a week on holiday and didn’t inject before I went so it’s been two weeks since my last dose. Weighed myself this morning and I’ve gained 3kg! That’s almost 7 pounds 😭

Bit upset and annoyed but also know there’s no sense beating myself up about it. I didn’t feel like I went wild on holiday, still had smaller portions than usual and made relatively healthy choices at breakfast and dinner but we were travelling every day so there were a lot of train station sandwiches for lunch and afternoon ice creams in the heat. I don’t drink so no alcohol, though I did have more sodas than usual. Anyway, have injected 7.5mg today so hopefully I’ll lose that weight over the next couple of weeks. Hope everyone else is doing well, I haven’t been able to read all the messages.
