I have the worst mental block with the spelling of this medication!! Almost did it wrong again but THINK it's correct now. Obviously 3rd time's the charm!!

Great work / losses / NSVs so far everyone!

Crazy suppression this week. It seems so random how each jab will affect me. I jab Sunday evenings and usually by now (Thurs) I'll have my appetite back but this week I've barely been able to eat anything. Existing on crackers and nuts as I can't even stomach my Greek yogurt at the moment.
I think I might have to do split jabs - 2.5mg every 4 days perhaps as I cant manage long term like this. Last night I forced down a one egg omelette with a spoon of coleslaw and was then up all night with nausea and indigestion!

StrikeForever · 26/06/2025 17:22

I finally got below 90kg today Yay! 🎉🎊 Haven’t been there for a while. I started mid April at 96.6kg and today it’s 89.4kg. Not the huge losses of many in the group, but still over a stone and steadily coming down.

Are you on 5mg?
Just interested as I’m on 5mg and getting a bit more hungry by Thursday now. Wondering if I need to increase doses after this pen (this is only my 2nd week of 5mg). Will be interesting to see how much I lose this week.

Galadali · 26/06/2025 18:08

@Summerbay23Yes, I am. Normally I feel fairly normal by Thursday afternoon, but still feeling like I can't face anything ATM.

Knakeredd · 26/06/2025 20:09

Attempting my first golden dose tomorrow - any tips?

It’s honestly easier than you think. Just draw the liquid out slowly and carefully with your syringe (it might try to suck back in but just persist carefully and slowly). Then inject and I didn’t find it any more painful than the pen to be honest (just don’t over think it).

I find if I inject some air into the pen then the liquid flows easily into the syringe without resistance.
So I pull the syringe back to 0.6, insert it into the pen through the red rubber seal, inject the air into the pen, then draw out the liquid.
Then prime and inject.

I was very nervous before my first time, but it was fine.

Hi all, I’ve not posted here for a while. I’ve been away in the Isle of Wight including at the festival there so had a lot of bad food choices and alcohol I still jabbed but think I was too busy to really notice if it was working or not!! I’m due to jab tonight considering going up to 7.5mg

while I was away I didn’t weigh myself i usually weigh daily but my average weight for this week has still gone down from 90.6kg to 90.3kg, only a tiny change but a change in the right direction even with the festival

TC4 · 27/06/2025 09:45

Ermmmm is this a NSV - I have to lift up my huge boobs to see my stomach now 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Raffles134 · 27/06/2025 10:19

Wk12 D1
2lbs off again and now officially in the 12’s 🎉 (Just 🤣)
Still on 3.75. Feel I am eating more but very happy with the consistent 2lb losses!

Well done everyone for your losses & NSVs! And to those that are at target! Look forward to hearing how maintenance goes for everyone so I can make a plan 🥰

Haha, congratulations!
It'll be a truly great NSV when I don't have to lift my tummy flap to see my fanny 😁

Knakeredd · 27/06/2025 14:59

Did my first golden dose - was easy peasy (much much easier than the pen which I still need to follow the instruction leaflet on each week) - thanks all £40 saved.

Hey everyone, been a few weeks since I checked in, hope you’re all doing good! I had a week ‘off plan’ a couple of weeks ago as I was on holiday and managed to gain 5lbs Confused but lost it again the week after. I’m now at 38lbs down in total after 12 weeks and finally in the 12 stone bracket, which I’ve not seen since pre-pregnancy!

I moved up to 5mg when I came back from my holiday and seems to be working well for me with minimal side effects.

SW: 15st 18.6lbs
CW: 12st 12.6lbs
1st TW: 12st 7lbs

TC4 · 27/06/2025 20:05

Jab done for the next week - 1st does of 7.5mg let’s see how that goes, I got my 7.5mg out of my 5mg pen (it was my 2nd 5mg pan) il have to buy my next one very soon but il see how I am over the next few days before I decide if im going with 7.5mg from now on or not

Would love some other ideas if you have time to share please

Came across a concept the other day about "excersize snacking". The theory is, that if you do 12 reps of excersize each day (or however many), it doesn't matter how they're spaced out. So doing one lot an hour, is as effective as doing one gum session where you mind do 13 in an hour, for arguments sake

Same podcast, recommended wrist weights / weighted vests too. I guess if you loose 5kg, your metabolism stays the same, if you wear a 5kg weight? Have actually just ordered some now, as it's on my mind. No way I have the time to gym!

Also, for anyone with small children in their lives, I find a "Danny Go" video to be an excellent excersize "snack" too. Plus, the children absolutely lose their minds over it.

You gained, but instead of throwing on the towel, you just lost it again. That's great! And such a good (and achievable with MJ) mindset - well done! Hope you had a good holiday too x

I could get a weighted vest for the 15kg I have lost to date - which is the equivalent of carting around a microwave or two car tyres 24/7.

My goal is another 10kg - so that would mean that I have roughly been carting around the weight of 4 car tyres......no wonder I'm Knakeredd

I have wrist weights and wear them on my dog walk and do lots of different arm exercises. They certainly help with arm and shoulder definition.

I think I’d find them a bit cumbersome to wear all day but def a good idea at some points

my DC call them my twatty arm weights and won’t come out walking with me wearing them 🤣. I’m usually out before 7am so don’t see many people but tbh don’t really care anyway!

RhaenysRocks · 28/06/2025 07:58

YES!!! 12.13 today. Been trying to get below 13st before end of term which is next Friday for me. Plan is to use the 8 weeks to lose another and go back for INSET at 11 something. I've been teaching nearly 30 years and almost all of them I've told myself I will be the one who gets the "wow, you look amazing" comments (there's always someone). I might actually stand a chance this time!!!

QS90 · 28/06/2025 09:36

@winteronitswayout "Twatty arm weights" 😂😂 I suppose they are a bit, but as you say - better than the alternative!

Luckily I live in quite an odd city, where people do twatty things regularly - there used to be a guy who twirled a crystal ball over his hands and arms, as he walked along the road to the bus stop or to get milk. Don't think anyone will bat an eyelid at me.

I'm starting with the 5kg one, to see if it's okay for just doing housework etc.

It's a wild concept though, how much the lost weight equates to, I agree. I've lost the same amount of weight, that my 2 and a half year old currently weighs😶

Well done @RhaenysRocks, one more week and you can really enjoy the summer and all your achievements (without the chub rub shorts, yay). Love hearing about everyone's personal mini goals.

Only lost 0.8lb this week even though lower calories due to Covid and then a 're-feed day', but still in a post viral fug and exercise seems impossible right now. I do get fatigue/low mood for a couple of days after I jab anyway but that's about the only downside to MJ for me. Almost 2 stone lost (0.2lb away), 14th jab yesterday, so really pleased. Still on 3mg.

Have a great weekend everyone, more water retention ahead due to the heat I guess 😏
