I have the worst mental block with the spelling of this medication!! Almost did it wrong again but THINK it's correct now. Obviously 3rd time's the charm!!

Great work / losses / NSVs so far everyone!

Well done 👏
Also, you can change Vinted sizes in 'Personalisation' then 'Categories and Sizes' - I had to do the same the other day as size 16's are too big now so have changed it to 12/14 😊

Oh brilliant - I’ll go in and do that :)

ClimbingKilimounjaro · 25/06/2025 00:04

NSV tonight - beautiful wool coat that hasn’t fit for two years finally fits and does up! I am only 8lbs away from my lowest weight in 6 years (how long I’ve been keeping track via app). Feels great to be so close to a tangible goal.

74kg today, despite Snickers. ⚖

For exercising, you know one of the best exercises you can do is just sit against a wall? You can do it anywhere, you don't need to get changed or book a babysitter, you can just do it, whenever you have a minute.

Put your back against a wall, and slide down so you sit on an imaginary chair. Hold it.

When I was caring for my late DH I had to be strong to lift and turn him, but I couldn't leave him alone to go and work out (and I couldn't afford to injure myself or get even more tired out), so I learned all these little ways of boosting my muscles wherever I was, in stolen minutes where I could find them. It was just so hard to motivate myself because I was always so so tired, for years, just exhausted, but the thing is to just do something. Something is better than nothing. So if you can't do anything but sit, sit against a wall.

And you are correct it doesn’t take very long - you will be doing well to crack 1minute. It’s good to do it to a favourite song and try to get to the end. Push back hard against the wall - use your core, gluts, thighs to hold your own body weight.

saxonyv · 25/06/2025 07:36

Great losses and NSVs everyone, skinny fanjita has made me chuckle!

I’ve been quietly plodding away in the background, reading all your posts as I go.
NSV for me this week has been colleagues commenting on weight loss!

midweek of week 13 for me

SW: 207lbs
CW: 173lbs
GW: 154lbs (or thereabouts)

I need to start working out a bit though as I’ve noticed my skin is looking a bit loose now it’s not filled with fat 😅

Morning ladies,
weigh day for me today as I didn’t weigh last week as was due my period and it just finished yesterday, so 3.5lb off in almost 2 weeks and that’s me at 11 stone 2lb, 2lb off target. BMI is still 25 but 11 stone is as light as I will go. I tried on size 28 Levi’s yesterday and they fitted perfectly. Size 10 is perfect on me now and that’s enough for me. I go on all inclusive holiday tomorrow for 10 days so expect to gain so I’ll order one more 5mg and take it weekly until I get back to 11stone after holiday then I’ll order it again and take 5mg every 2 weeks and hopefully maintain. That’s 33lb weight loss in 12 weeks which I am delighted about, I’ve done OMAD and no carbs on top. I’ve worked out my TDEE at 1600 cals with no exercise ( which I plan to do after holidays) so I’m hopeful I can maintain with mostly OMAD or one small lunch plus a low carb dinner and exercise to allow for wine at weekends. Maintenance is the scary part now, but hopefully I can manage if I weigh my food and stick to TDEE. For now though I’m going to enjoy my holiday. It’s the last with my son who is 18 ( he said he won’t come again) and I want to relax and enjoy it.
hope everyone has the best day

Wow - well done on reaching your goal 😃Sounds like you are well prepared for the maintenance stage, but would be interesting to hear how it all goes so keep us posted.
Enjoy your holiday!

SusanSometimes · 25/06/2025 11:03

Wow, some fantastic results here. Well done all!

I've found my weight loss has stalled, I've been gaining and losing the same pesky kilo for the last few weeks, so I've decided to move up to 5mg and have just done my online consultation. I will take my last dose of 3.75mg on Friday then, assuming it's approved, 5mg from next week. Let's hope it starts to shift things because I'm a bit fed up.

On the plus side, I was doing a wardrobe sort out at the weekend and found a lovely dress I'd forgotten about. It still has the tags on so I've never worn it, and I remember buying it thinking it would fit 'one day' - and now it does! I have a wedding to go to in a few weeks and it'll be perfect.

I thought I had cheated the system when I worked out I could do weight training whilst LYING down. These ones for arms is good. But the aim is 'progressive overload' - so you need to be increasing the reps each session to failure (failure is good - this is where you build the muscle you need to increase your metabloism, minimise muscle lost through weight loss, and keep your bones, joints and mobility protected) - then next session you increase the load and start at less reps.

Knakeredd · 25/06/2025 12:32

I am also finding intermittent fasting really easy to do on MJ - and this is targetting clearing belly fat specifically for me really well - which might explain my NSVs of fitting into clothes but the scale dial not moving - which actually is all good as it indicates less incidental lean muscle loss and bone loss which can be catastrophic and backfire. At the end of the viseo below he explains how he had to put on 5lb of belly fat for a procedure - but to do that he had to incraese his overall weight by 13lb.

This video explains scientifically and holistically how managing insulin and being in ketosis burns fat and not muscle and how walking is the best exercise - as heavy cardio gym sessions increase cortisol and adrenalin which interupt fat burning. I have bought the keto pee sticks from the chemist to keep on track and find this more rewarding as a tracker than the scales which are slow but I must rememeber that the slow scales are a good thing - and the prrof is in the pudding which is my increasingly trim waist.

Uninvitedleaf · 25/06/2025 12:48

In response to a couple of people mentioning Vinted and charity shop finds, I’m in awe of your search abilities. Every time I read your posts I think I should go and have a look on Vinted and all I seem to find is overpriced and badly photographed items that look like someone’s slept in them! Is it just a case of taking a punt and hoping they’re OK in real life or am I missing all the gems somehow?

Knakeredd · 25/06/2025 14:22

I dont do Vinted as I dont know what I am looking for and cant be arsed with dealing with the general public. I agree everything looks drab but my DDs and many of my friends use it all the time. Charity shops is good areas are worth a day trip to. I try to stand back from the clutter and only look at mid/maxi dressers and skirts and specific colours that suit me (no patterns as they tend to date).

Yesterday as well as my size SMALL Jaeger dress I found an immaculate dark red Agnes B slim line jumper for £12 (would retail at £150) - too snug for me now but put aside for autumn.

The designer stuff is often very well cared for by the previous owner and is high quality materials and construction to start with. All the occassion wear has only ever been woen once most likely. I have an amazing seamstress who does alterations for £5-£20.

Accessories, jewellry, sunglasses, belts, bags, scarves etc are all a bargain.

I dont touch sportswear and havent tried any trousers or jeans yet.

Top tip look at the window display (where the best stuff is) and look up to the high shelves for bags/shoes/boots. Dont be afraid to buy loads - try at home and return for a refund if they dont fit. I love bouncing around the house in my £7 full length, fish tail, halter-neck, peacock blue sequinned dress - scaring the dog. Not sure I will ever wear it out but I am having so fun with my little girl dressing up box.

Uninvitedleaf · 25/06/2025 16:06

Yes I think that’s my problem with Vinted as well. I remember you mentioning the joy of swanning round the house in your posh frocks - love that, very inspiring!

I am only 5’1” so midi and maxi dresses are out as they’re floor length on me. I think I live in a reasonably affluent area but you’re probably right that a day trip to somewhere else might pay dividends - although there are a couple of agencies that sell on designer stuff locally so I suspect the really good stuff might go there. I’ll have some fun hunting anyway, and I will report back!

Knakeredd · 25/06/2025 16:10

Someone just directed me to this site - looks more promising than Vinted.

Uninvitedleaf · 25/06/2025 16:15

Thanks, will have a look. Hope we’re not all after the same stuff 😂

SaddlebagSal · 25/06/2025 17:14

I’ve got a couple of things from Vinted - I’ve stuck to searching for some of my favourite fat clothes in a smaller size. I’ve not been overwhelmed with the results and knowing the brand well (seasalt) means I’m fairly sure of the fit and colour, regardless of how poor the photograph is.

Incognitoburrito88 · 25/06/2025 17:49

I think Vinted gets better the more you use it as the algorithm quickly learns what you are interested in and start showing your more of the same. I do tend to be quite specific in my searches - eg Oasis did a V&A historic prints collection a few years back and i love the prints so I searched Oasis v&a in my size. Then, if I see something I like I check out the buyers other items. You get 10% off if you buy more than one thing and can often pick up extra little things and combine postage. I’ve had the odd dud but had lots of things I’ve loved at good prices too. It helps that I have two daughters who are slimmer than me so if things are too small I can sometimes pass them on…

SausageRoll90 · 25/06/2025 21:42

Hi guys 👋🏻 it's been a while since I've been on to chat - I apologise for my radio silence. Life got busy and we were away in holiday last week etc so I just didn't have the headspace. I'll be honest I haven't caught up with the thread but I'll go back a few pages and catch up a bit.

I'm currently still on 5mg and it seems to be working well for me suppression and SE wise so I'm guna stick to that. I'm guna order another 5mg pen this week I think 👍🏻

I am now in week 11 and have lost 17.5lb since starting MJ (24.5lb since starting my weight loss jouney). I've also now lost 10% of my body weight from my original start weight so know that I have significantly improved my health 💪🏻

Original weight - 17st 2lb (108.9kg / 240lb)
MJ start weight - 16st 9lb (105.9kg / 233lb)
Current weight - 15st 5.5lb (97.7kg/ 215.5lb)
Total loss - 1st 10.5lb

NSV - I'm officially in a size smaller clothes and a bra size smaller which already on the middle clasp so I'll soon be approaching the next band size down 👍🏻

How are you guys doing? Hope you're all keeping well. Like I said I'll catch up a bit now but I'm glad to be back here as I love this little support network 🩵

RhaenysRocks · 26/06/2025 07:14

@SausageRoll90 well done. I'm not often on here either but I do read it every few days and it's great..only one person knows I'm using MJ so it's good to chat about it here. My loss is now 19lb ..it feels slow compared to some but it's steady and in the right direction. My partner is losing at the same rate but not using MJ..he's a totally different build and temperament. He does a fuck tonne of exercise and has actually upped his calorie intake, especially protein, so that he doesn't smack.on treats in the evening. When I read the FB posts that slag off WLI I do sometimes think he'd get a round of applause from them but the thing is, he has one adult child and works from home in a 9-5. He has so much time and autonomy to go to CrossFit classes, cycle etc that I couldn't possibly do even if I wanted to. I do t bother commenting on FB but it does piss me off that there's so much judgement and ignorance about how these jabs work.

Hope everyone has a great day. I'm crawling to end of term 😭

RhaenysRocks · 26/06/2025 07:29

Also..little NSV for me, I don't wear chubrub shorts under skirts or dresses now for work. I would if out for a day wandering about but just teaching I don't need them now .makes organising my laundry simpler..I don't need to make sure I have clean ones if I plan to wear X outfit.

Pepperwaggytail · 26/06/2025 07:43

Hey SausageRoll90
Good to hear of your weight loss! This thread is my only Mounjaro outlet 🤣 so I’m on it every day to save my hubby from listening to me!
Im currently jabbing 2.5mg every 4 days, getting all the suppression with much less side effects. I feel so much better for it!

WinterOnItsWayOut · 26/06/2025 07:57

W3: - 2lb
W4: - 3lb (total 1 stone 💪)

Well done to everyone’s SV’s and NSV’s - inch losses, fitting old clothes, slimmer foofs 🤣, chub rubs gone and nice comments from people.

onwards and downwards 💦

wordywitch · 26/06/2025 08:02

Yesterday was my weigh day, lost another 1.4kg bringing me to 77kg / 12st 1lb. Nearly in the 11s! Leaving for my holiday today and looking forward to enjoying a bit more food and some treats. For those who skipped a week did you go straight back on to your usual dose and did you have more SE than usual?

vl888 · 26/06/2025 08:21

Any one else find the jabs hurt slightly more with the more weight you lose? Maybe less blubber to soften the pain.. 😅

Squiffy01 · 26/06/2025 09:37

Morning all

some fab NS and SV going on lately well done.

weigh and jab day for me today but I actually jabbed a day early so jabbed yesterday and it really hit me! Couldn’t eat dinner last night.

Weighed in this morning and 2.4lbs off this week. Which takes me to 2.5 stone off so far. My first mini goal was to make it from obese into overweight which I did I can’t remember but while ago now. My next mini goal is to make it into the ‘normal’ weight range. Which I think is another half stone.

have been feeling a bit dizzy and low in energy which I think probably means I should be eating a bit more. But I don’t really want to 🤦🏻‍♀️
