I dont do Vinted as I dont know what I am looking for and cant be arsed with dealing with the general public. I agree everything looks drab but my DDs and many of my friends use it all the time. Charity shops is good areas are worth a day trip to. I try to stand back from the clutter and only look at mid/maxi dressers and skirts and specific colours that suit me (no patterns as they tend to date).
Yesterday as well as my size SMALL Jaeger dress I found an immaculate dark red Agnes B slim line jumper for £12 (would retail at £150) - too snug for me now but put aside for autumn.
The designer stuff is often very well cared for by the previous owner and is high quality materials and construction to start with. All the occassion wear has only ever been woen once most likely. I have an amazing seamstress who does alterations for £5-£20.
Accessories, jewellry, sunglasses, belts, bags, scarves etc are all a bargain.
I dont touch sportswear and havent tried any trousers or jeans yet.
Top tip look at the window display (where the best stuff is) and look up to the high shelves for bags/shoes/boots. Dont be afraid to buy loads - try at home and return for a refund if they dont fit. I love bouncing around the house in my £7 full length, fish tail, halter-neck, peacock blue sequinned dress - scaring the dog. Not sure I will ever wear it out but I am having so fun with my little girl dressing up box.
