I have the worst mental block with the spelling of this medication!! Almost did it wrong again but THINK it's correct now. Obviously 3rd time's the charm!!

Just a quickly to mention not to be despondent if you don’t lose much if anything whilst weather is like this - body holds onto water more apparently - and given lots of us are drinking lots of it - it probably is genuinely a bit of water weight!

@Pepperwaggytail yep but BMIs don’t account for age, build, boobs etc - I look unwell at less than 9 and a half stone these days at 63 and 5ft 4 - I have big boobs regardless of how much weight I lose these days and look unbalanced below 9 and a half stone and scraggy faced too - would rather a bit of a balance and am aiming for 10 and a half

I’m also watching out for a scraggy face! I’ve definitely lost weight on my face as well as everywhere else, but aware of not wanting to look older!
I’ve just started to use Tretinoin (which I used to use years ago) to try and improve my skin’s appearance.

It's not my first rodeo (annoyingly) when it comes to a big weight loss journey and I have to agree with @Crikeyalmighty I never lose much in the mega heat. Really need to chug hard on the Stanley today!

I had a NSV last night and wore a dress out that I bought at least 2 years ago but had never worn as it was too tight (and got even tighter!). Didn't know what to wear and thought I'd give it a try and it was a comfortable, easy fit. Felt great as a result. Anyone else enjoying shopping their own wardrobe?!

Yes! And actually feeling ok in tighter tops now. A lot of my bigger tops swamp me, but the skirts and jeans look so much better.

If you've been excersizing more, that can cause water retention too, if you didn't know already. But the fat IS still going down, even if the loss is hidden x

Thanks! I've been in the dieting cycle for 40 years so yep, I'm used to water fluctuations. The heat also makes me ear more salty foods so it's a triple whammy of heat, exercise and sodium I think. Just a bit depressing seeing my 100% downward trend go up by so much.

Anyone here moved to a 10mg pen? Had limited suppression on 2.5 & 5 but finding the 7.5 good. Need to order my next pen & wondering if I should move to the 10 pen but just use 7.5 until I need something stronger but at least I would have the option.....

What has been people’s experience of skipping a dose due to being on holiday? I am leaving on Thursday next week and normally inject on Wednesday so I had planned to still take it, but I have started to think I’d like to have a bit more appetite while I’m away as it’s the first time I’ve been away with DH alone in years and I’d like to enjoy some food. If you skipped a dose how quickly did your appetite start to come back?

@Newmum110 I'm not on the 10mg yet, but would probably go for that one myself as it makes it a bit cheaper if you're doing well on 7.5mg. As in, you could count the clicks to get to 7.5mg on a 10mg pen and get more doses. But if you felt you would benefit from a higher dose at any point, you've got thr scope to do a full or almost full dose as needed.

That's just me though - it really depends whether you're happy counting clicks and keeping the pen a bit longer - I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I am having the same thoughts. Just taken 4th dose - will do bonus next week. Seem to have plateaued (again) weight wise but thats always been my pattern every 3 weeks - even on other diets (might be cycle related).

I think my supression is mental rather than physical. I am doing IF and can hold out until 3pm and do OMAD or 2MAD - but I get hungry after I break the fast once I eat and I never feel full but I can eat a small portion and leave the rest (mental choice) or eat a large meal and not feel stuffed.

Anyone else feeling weak with MJ? Before injecting, I could lift heavier weights in gym. Now I struggle to lift what I did before. Very weird even though I'm a stone lighter. Thinking must be less food, therefore less energy?

I was away for two weeks and jabbed the day before I left. The first week was just as normal and I had pretty good hunger suppression for the second week too. I definitely enjoyed a bit more alcohol, but was able to resist puddings and ice creams (not really bothered). I did feel I could eat bigger portions of food in week two though.

I didn’t put any weight on but I did loads of walking throughout and a bit of running in week one.
Since being back I’ve dropped to 2.5mg (going to dose every 4 days to try and avoid side effects) so will jab again tomorrow. So I know there’s very little Mounjaro in my system. I’m still feeling hunger suppression, but am having a little bit of food noise and not feeling as full as quickly when eating. It’s been great not feeling sick, dizzy and tired though!

Weigh-in day today and I'm thrilled to say that the 3lbs I'd gone up yesterday have melted away, along with another 2 (despite a very large gin and crisps last night!) That's 25lb altogether and I'm very nearly into the 12st bracket - woohoo! Gin for the win girls ;)

just wanted to say Thank You @Crikeyalmighty I really needed to read this this morning! ~No loss this week. Today is week 12. I’m on 5mg after 2x 2.5 pens, feel very nauseous after I inject 5 for about 3 days, & I think I’m not eating enough because of this ( well not enough good stuff) on 5 Supression I feel is good but then I’m making some bad choices when I do eat, & losses slowed to 1lb per week for last 3….can’t decide whether to drop down the dose as was losing steady 2lb a week on 2.5 or stick with 5mg ?
Has anyone dropped back down & started losing more again?

Is everyone targeting their macros - maybe I need to come off SM as the aim of getting 1.6g of protein per 1 lb of body weight down my neck alongside the fibre recommendations seems impossible - maybe this is the strategy post MJ / maintainance - but still seems hard to even achieve half that goal.

Also cant remember the poster who was having huge whelts at injection site - just wanted to check that you were alternating either side of the abdomen each week and I also try to do new sites each time. I was worried this poster was injecting at the same site each week?

I literally cannot fathom how people invest so much protein! I also struggle to even get the 60g a day I aim for, without the protein shakes. I find if I manage to chug one down, and eat a sensible diet the rest of the day (few eggs, one portion of chicken, a few chickpeas in a salad...), I can make target.

I'm plateauing / regaining slightly too 😟 Partly I'm sure it's the heat. I have jabbed a day earlier though, as was definitely getting hungrier too.

The run up to payday is a stumbling block for me, as there's not a lot in the house, so I'm not sure what I can have that's healthy, then leave it too long and end up having toast, which makes me hungry. Will attempt a cube of cheese or a protein shake first this week, to see if that settles me. Roll on Wednesday when I can be back to fish fillets and big salads!!

The heat also puts me off cooking anything proper, as I can't bear for the oven to be on!! But will try batch cooking at night, like they do in some hot countries, though I'm loath to do it.

This was probably me @Knakeredd I have been alternating quadrants upper left/lower right/upper right/lower left etc so 4 weeks before returning to each site. I have stuck with stomach as I just don’t have enough fat on my thighs (my body shape is apple on a stick 🤣) to do this and the arms give me heebie jeebies.

My reaction has been much less severe, think apricot rather than grapefruit circumference this week, so hopefully over it. Although it does make me nervous to go up to 7.5mg which I’d like to do at some point.

Journey is otherwise going well. 13.5kg lost of the 30-35kg I was aiming for so a third of the way there!

I was told 1g of protein per 1kg of body weight by my PT. (BHF recommends 0.75g per 1kg) which I can just about do on a good day. 1.6g per lb would be totally unachievable for me! I get around 20g from my collagen in my morning coffee, 20g from a tin of tuna, 20g from a protein pud and then top up with beans, nuts etc. It's a constant calculation going on...

I’m struggling in this hot weather. MJ has lowered my blood pressure - I was a textbook 120/80 before MJ and this morning I was 93/75. When I was younger it was on the low side so this isn’t out of the ordinary for me. But in this heat I’m struggling to stay hydrated - I’m drinking as much as I can physically take but still not weeing enough. I keep going dizzy if I get up too fast, and breathless if I bend over and don’t fill my lungs fully. In my Pilates class I thought I was going to pass out after getting up from the mat, I had the full spots in front of the eyes thing and the room receding down a tunnel. And that was just going from lying down to sitting up!

This might be the side effect that stops me going up from 7.5 to 10mg. I can manage gastric upsets, but I draw the line at losing consciousness in public!

@Workgetsintheway yep I’ve eaten like a saint all week and done 2 dance classes and am still 0.3 up , my H who has been dropping 1.5kg a week consistently for 8 weeks is up 1kg too . We aren’t on MJ as I stopped ( but still like to follow the principles and the posts) but I know from before whenever the weather was very hot I always gained slightly .
