@DrMonjo I do think a lot of this goes on and why so many women with partners and kids have a food noise issue - if you have family who are constantly bringing it up - or bringing up snacking or meals whilst out it’s very easy for ‘other people’s food noise’ to become your food noise - in fact the slimmest people I know in all honesty are quite ‘selfish ‘ people who concentrate on their own diet without focussing on constantly meeting others expectations and absorbing ‘their’ food noise

Pepperwaggytail · 26/05/2025 20:13

Oh thank you for your comments. You are so right that I (like plenty of other women) spend a lot of energy living up to the expectations of others. Thankfully my husband is very supportive. I’m not going to tell my gym friends (who I’m going on holiday with) mostly because recently I’ve heard them talking about some of the other women in the gym who are taking it, and their comments have been very judgemental. We women are very hard on each other aren’t we? ☹️

Hi guys I'm on W7 D3 and the last 2 evenings I've just felt utterly rubbish. As the day goes on the nausea builds up and by the evening I can't eat a meal. I took my third 5mg on Friday

I did manage fruit salad and some yogurt the last 2 nights but tonight I feel so awful I can't. Also for the 1st time since starting MJ I feel like I've got an upset tummy making me need the loo a bit urgently. I don't know if it's the MJ or maybe a little bit of a bug or something but either way it's taken me by suprise a bit because this is week 7 and like I said, my 3rd Jan at 5mg so I didn't expect to feel shit. Maybe it's just building up in my system now. I'm definitely sticking to 5mg for my next pen.

SausageRoll90 · 26/05/2025 23:16

Guys after some research and a chat with my phone AI, I found some answers to why I suddenly have more/new side effects on week 7 having been ok until now. I've taken a screenshot and will attach it (hopefully it'll get approved lol) as thought that I'm sure someone else would find it interesting/useful. Xx

also my old fashioned scales have a broken screen so hard to read. What are people’s thoughts on those renphro scales? Is it a horrendous read 😂 when fat..,,😳

Well, I've got some but thankfully I have no idea what any of the data actually means yet, I decided to ignore it when it told me I was 46% fat! Bit worrying that it's not really gone down either as I've lost, hopefully someone will tell us it's all lies! I just like that it records the weights to the app and BMI actually does seems the most accurate of all my apps. Also got the measuring tape which I found a right faff and went back to a manual one.

You must be severly lacking in bones and internal organs then @SunnySpellsAhead You're doing fantastically well just being alive 😂😂

Thanks for that @SausageRoll90 . I'm about same stage as you and I feel awful today. Luckily I'm off for the bank holiday but only managed to eat a bit of fish and pasta at teatime. I'm definitely not going up to 7.5 although might order it and do clicks to stay on 5.

NinetyNineRedBalloonsGoBy · 27/05/2025 07:33

W7 D3 and I’m officially one stone down!

SW: 15 stone 12
CW: 14 stone 12
target: 11 stone (I think??)

After the first week loss of 5lb it’s been averaging at 1lb a week which I’ve felt as too slow but I’m still on 2.5mg and only have side effects of fatigue and nausea for one day (24 hours after jab), so it’s all good!

This is the lightest I’ve been in 2 years and as I have Hashimotos (dodgy thyroid) and I’m in the midst of perimenopause I’m bloody delighted!!

SeaDippingandLattes · 27/05/2025 07:58

@SunnySpellsAhead thanks for this :) where did you buy yours from? I’m worried if I get one it will continue to tell me my visceral fat is dangerously high and I’ll just be losing muscle each week 😂 which wouldn’t be the most motivating but equally at present I need to put glasses on and then do a weird semi squat atm to read my scales or I have to zoom in on my phone and then the lines all blur together anyway. I cheekily weighed myself in a clients loo the other day as she had some electronic scales sat there and I was bloody six pounds more 🥸 so I chose not to believe it and to rely on my broken ones instead x

W8d1 today

SW 13st11.8
CW 12st10.2

finally hit a stone lossed! Nsv that a pair of jeans that were too tight are now okay to wear 👍 hope everyone has a good week

SunnySpellsAhead · 27/05/2025 10:12

@SeaDippingandLattes
They're just from Amazon, £20, an upgrade from manual Renpho ones which were pretty good too. These told me I only weighed a pound more than the old ones, so could cope with that - the 46% fat not so!

I got the Renpho scales and downloaded the app to go with them, and I find it quite good as it tracks weight, BMI, Body Fat etc...and puts it on a graph/averages it out. Some of the stuff I don't understand like bone mass but I just look at the basic stuff!

I also got the Renpho measuring tape, but agree, bit of a faff so went back to manual tape measure 😂

Just ordered my next 5mg pen from MedExpress and it’s been dispatched! I know others have reported delays, online it said delays with 2.5mg and 10mg.

Wanted to let others know so you are aware.

Wonderfulstuff · 27/05/2025 11:49

Well done to everyone notching up fab loses!

So I’ve had a bit of a WLI fail. Made it to our UK holiday for half term and managed to give myself a lovely dose of food poisoning. Took 48 hours to settle back down which would have been my injection window but I honestly couldn’t face anything else that may cause digestive issues. And now I’m feeling better but in a bit of no man’s land as it’s been 12 days since my last jab. Might jab on Thursday or just leave it until we’re home and enjoy a bit of freedom and not worrying about SE if I have a glass of wine. Very undecided.

Anyone else find themselves overthinking everything or is that just me?!

Crikeyalmighty · 27/05/2025 12:03

@Wonderfulstuff i hate bank holidays because we tend to have elderly relative round who always wants to eat out and even making wise choices and having just a couple of drinks I can guarantee to put half to 1 kilo on over a bank holiday few days.- because the routine is shot - I drink less water, eat breakfast, and yes drink albeit a small amount. It’s like the minute I have ‘any’ carbs at all or a glass of wine - even if technically still in defecit , my body hangs on to it.

Your pen will last a lot longer than 30 days in that case.

Wonderfulstuff · 27/05/2025 13:46

@Crikeyalmighty I hear ya! My holiday weight gain record was 13.5lbs after 2 weeks AI! Totally worth it though 😂

Don't think I can quite justify that much after 9 nights SC in the West Country but I’m ok with a couple of pounds on as I’ll be back to my usual boring routine before I know it.

Crikeyalmighty · 27/05/2025 14:37

@Wonderfulstuff I managed 4 kilos in 11 days in California a couple of years ago - didn’t feel like I was massively overdoing it either - I think it was more the fact that it was wine every day - and 3 meals a day too even if lunch was salads etc

I'm 68.

Perhaps it just got its numbers the wrong way round.

Mind you, that was months ago. It's changed its mind and tells me I'm 76 now.

W8 D7 - but hungrier today but not surprising as it’s cold but haven’t been able to eat too much the last days.

did my next dose today - did the “magic dose” for the first time with my 5ml pen and it was a bit more fiddly to draw it out but had enough to prime to 60ml for a full dose

have my next 5ml pen in the fridge ready to start for my next weeks!

0.6ml I hope!

There's only 2.4ml MJ in each pen (not including the bonus).
