I was chatting to a personal trainer last night and they said weeks 3 and 4 of an eating well and exercising regime often bring zero losses or even gains as the body starts to gain lean muscle and lose fat.

Lean muscle burns calories faster and is obviously overall better for us so see it as a win if you've maintained or gained at wk 3/4. You are not at war with your body, your body is doing exactly what it should be doing.

Hey lovely fellow losers! 👋

Feeling pretty low today...weigh in day and I've maintained this week.

I've worked so hard as well which makes it the more frustrating.

Wk 1 - 4lbs
Wk 2 - 2lbs
Wk 3 - 2lbs
Wk 4 - 0lbs

😕

Hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead...xx

Try not to be disheartened, it's probably just that the initial loss included water, so now it's real pounds. Your first week might have been 2lb weight 2lb water, whereas now it's all weight so you might have had a 2lb loss this week still it's just replacing that water loss. If that makes sense?
The people I know on mounjaro all kind of plateaued at week 3/4.

FurryAnimal · 24/05/2025 09:52

Hi All, so I've just tried to administer my first dose but not sure if it happened or not, should I have been able to see liquid in the glass tube of the pen, how can I tell if it injected or not? Any advice gratefully received.

SharpLemonEagle · 24/05/2025 09:54

Hi folks, have been lurking on here for a while but finally bit the bullet and jabbed for the first time this morning! Congrats on all your losses and NSV.

@Fatrosrhun - thank you for your kind words!
I am slightly very p’d off that they’d told me today when it clearly wasn’t going to happen. I thought it would quicker to stay with them than switch to another provider (and presumably do questionnaires and photos all over again ?).
Anyway, nothing I can do about it now, but several lessons learned …🙄.
Wishing you all the best for Tuesday x

@SussexLass87 -ouch, I feel your pain .
You’ve been so supportive of all of us on here - give yourself some of that love now. Thinking of you x
Onwards and downwards !

TreesOfGreen99 · 24/05/2025 10:13

Hi @FurryAnimal I took my first dose yesterday so not an expert at this.
My question/reassurance is
Did you see drips of liquid at the top/running down the needle when you primed the pen? This should reassure you there’s definitely liquid there. So if you then injected then you will have had a full dose of the medicine.

SussexLass87 · 24/05/2025 10:26

Thanks for the kinds words - really appreciated and needed!

You're all absolutely right - I think most of us here are used to being unkind to ourselves about food ❤️

Onwards and downwards really made me laugh! 😄

Thank you, there were just a few drops at tip of needle, I've watched a tutorial on Youtube and it appears I did it correctly I think, thanks for your reply 😊
(Sorry I put my reply under wrong post, still getting to grips with this 😂)

Redsparklybucket · 24/05/2025 10:51

Weigh in day for me and I have lost 5lb, was definitely hungrier towards the end of the week, had some crisps (my nemesis) but not the whole bag, so that must be better! Jab 2 is in and water bottle filled!

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 24/05/2025 10:53

What are we all looking forward to wearing?
For me, outfits that show off a nice waist.

Tucked in tshirts and leopard print belts.

Dresses and ankle boots in autumn

Pendant necklaces!!! At size 18, they don't fit! I was mortified by this, bought a load of new necklaces for holiday and couldn't fasten them. So lots of layered necklaces including pendants.

Sleeveless tops

Wide leg trousers!

26dX · 24/05/2025 10:53

Week 4 13lb4oz down woo!!

We live by the sea so with that and holidays I am looking forward to feeling confident in a bikini! And I have a really good wetsuit 2 sizes smaller than me that I wore pre children would love to fit into it rather than the thin cheap size 18 one I bought from a hire company at the end of a season 😩

Nearly a stone well done!

Needsomeadvice2234 · 24/05/2025 11:36

Just had my 3rd jab a day late due to migraine - hope this is not going to cause any more side effects - acid indigestion is bad! Am not expecting much weight loss weeks 3 and 4 as people seem to hit a plateau stage. Then I've got 5mg pen which I'm nervous about..

GeraniumRoseblush · 24/05/2025 12:12

@DidILeaveTheGasOn Great question! I would love to wear a bikini confidently and unself-consciously this Summer, and actually this is a really good visual goal for me to aim for. Also a sleeveless top showing off decent biceps would be awesome 🙏💪 😁

GeraniumRoseblush · 24/05/2025 12:15

I can't find the post now but someone mentioned a good electrolytes brand - has anyone got one they'd recommend?

SIS is good, bit pricey to buy too many though

RoaryMouth · 24/05/2025 12:46

I’m looking forward to wearing my swimsuit more confidently. I currently wear swim leggings over the top at the pool. And nicer, more fitted gym gear.

RoaryMouth · 24/05/2025 12:47

Took my second dose yesterday afternoon and then slept all evening in front of the TV. Also bruising at the injection spot. Didn’t happen last week. Feeling livelier today. 💪

My entire closet full of size 10-12 clothes from 8 years ago that I’ve desperately clung on to in the hope that one day I might fit everything again.

Oh and shorts!!

all my life I was paranoid about shorts, even at a skinny 20something size 8 I thought my legs were fat. Now I have so much more perspective - I’ll be in shorts as soon as possible!!

Foreveronaplane · 24/05/2025 12:57

Someone on Instagram mentioned Wellgard My Journey supplement. My GP recommended that I take Vit D. Has anyone tried it? Think it was worthwhile?

ElsieJay · 24/05/2025 13:06

Oooh, yes to a tucked-in T shirt, don’t think I’ve ever styled one that way!
And yes to a dress with ankle boots.
But mostly a Breton-style navy and white long sleeved top with wide, horizontal (gasp!) stripes.
There’s a good reason for this .
I vividly recall, as a porky ten year old, going to a market with my tall, slim and gorgeous older cousin, who bought one : ran back to my DM asking if I could have one, and being told “No, you’re too fat for it “.
It was true, I would have looked horrendous, but those words have stuck with me for over sixty years.

Bellee11 · 24/05/2025 13:09

Looking forward to wearing the nice summer dresses that live rent free in my wardrobe. So many things I don't wear because of my post-baby stomach (9 years old now!), always paranoid someone will ask if I'm pregnant. Also thinking about nice beachwear for summer holiday at end of July and also being able to get back in wetsuit so I can enjoy bodyboarding with my son 🏖

lissie123 · 24/05/2025 13:16

Some of my clothes are getting baggier now and I don’t really have smaller clothes to fit me hidden in my wardrobe cos I gave them to my DD when she started a new job last year. I’m not sure what to do now because I have various events ( holiday and a wedding) in the next couple of months - do I make do over the next couple of months? Went to M&S last week to seek out smaller sized knickers and left empty handed cos I dithered about sizes. What do you do when losing weight and know that you will have lost more over the next few weeks?

I'm using a few things from well guard. My Journey, Gut Star, magnesium and a cherry drink to support sleep. I like the brand.
