Kindly, you really can’t be letting this happen. If you are such a strong responder that you don’t have any natural hunger cues left, it might be a good idea to set some alarms reminding you to eat. Or if you’re really busy and just didn’t have a chance to eat today, figure out some easy healthy snacks to have with you when meals aren’t possible. Some people do mention fasting alongside these meds. Whilst I have had success with 16:8 and even ‘one meal a day’ in the past, I really don’t think it’s compatible with being on MJ for me, simply because it’s virtually impossibly to get enough daily calories in within a short window, due to feeling full quickly and delayed stomach emptying. Everything suggests that eating nutritious small meals/snacks spread across the day is the path to safe, effective success.
I know we are all anonymous grown adults who make our own personal risk assessments about which parts of the advice we follow or rules to bend, but when all is said and done this is a serious medication and I feel a weird responsibility from starting these threads for this community of wonderful support - take care of yourselves everyone!
Also as I read over this I realise I don’t actually know the above at all… non grown adults and/or people with eating disorders absolutely can and likely will be attracted to threads on this topic and even more worryingly, could in extreme cases be able to access these meds from non-legitimate, unsafe sources so it’s important we support one another to make healthy, sustainable choices and model how to do this right!
@bridgetreillysorry this train of thought came on the back of your comment yesterday - I mean this far more in general for the thread and other things that have come up too. We’ve all had the odd not ideal day - I know I’ve had more than one where my dinner ended up being a protein yogurt, nuts and berries as I could not face a proper meal - Just take care everyone.
Also a big congrats to all the most recent success stories, I’m struggling to keep up this week as it’s very busy one for me but it’s lovely to hear about all the ways you are all starting to see and feel the differences, be that on the scales, tape measure, waistband, reduction in aches and pains, mental clarity etc. I am starting to feel more and more like my old self by the day and I am so grateful.
