Just starting up a new thread!

Hey lovely lot.

Just catching up. I'm on week who knows.

Im injecting about 4mg now. (50 clicks of 5mg pen). Suppression is massive. I've never been good at tracking calories (and I'm sure I'm well under 1200 a day some days). Need to up my fluids too.

However. Start weight was 14st 9 BMI 46
today 12.0.3 lbs (so close to seeing an 11 st on the scales!) and BMI is 33.

I was slightly worrying about MedExpress cutting me off at a point later for maintenance, but to even hit 28.2 BMI I have to get to 10 stone! That's forever away yet. And they will keep prescribing so long as you stay at a BMI of 23.5 or above.

I'm not sure what my target is. I still feel big at the size I'm at now. And ironically still wearing the same size work clothes (although now massively baggy!).

Wow - that's an incredible difference in your BMI - well done. And if you're able to stay on a low dose this makes it cheaper too!

TrinityWaves · 03/06/2025 10:03

Slimwannabe · 01/06/2025 17:45

Another 1.5lb off (seems I'm in quite a predictable and repetitive calorie defecit groove), so after 6 months here are the stats:

SW: 273lb, BMI 48.4
CW: 227.5lb, BMI 40.4
7.5mg (second pen at this dose)
1800kcal a day, aiming for 90g (vegetarian) protein
10k steps a day
3lt water a day

1.5 lb a week is fantastic. Also, your BMI is super close to the dropping into the next class. Well done!

TrinityWaves · 03/06/2025 10:06

JunoRoma · 29/05/2025 18:30

@MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals I've set my initial target as BMI 27.5, which for me means losing 30% of my starting weight.
If / when I reach that then I'll see how my body feels (and looks) and then set a revised target if needed.

We had the same initial target in terms of BMI. I'm now trying to go to 25. The size I am now (although still obese) is OK, I just looked 'average sized' out in public (i.e. not the healthy range but I think a lot of the population fall into overweight or low obese).

shrinkingfi · 02/06/2025 10:34

Just about 6 months in, and everyone is doing so well! I find this group really helpful, lovely to know I’m not alone!
SW 104kg
CW 86kg
on 3rd 7.5mg pen, but only now can tolerate the full dose!
Broadly pleased with progress except I am starting to suffer the dreaded hair loss. My basic nightmare. Does anyone have any ideas? I’m well hydrated and maximising protein, although often hard to eat enough.

Amazing loss.
I keep hearing biotin and collagen online although I'm sure how much evidence there is for this. I'm shedding loads of hair but unsure if it's MJ or the weather getting warmer (as this happens every year as I have very thick hair!) or both.

OrangeDonald · 03/06/2025 14:51

Felt so much better on 3.75 last week, that I've stuck with it again this week. It means the weight loss has slowed down back to 0.5kg, but side effects have vanished.

Looked at my photos i took when i started, and compared to today I'm amazed at the physical difference in me.

JunoRoma · 03/06/2025 15:46

@TrinityWaves well done on your losses, and on entering the next stone zone!

frogpigdonkey · 03/06/2025 15:46

6 months! Weigh and jab day
SW 15 stone
CW 12 stone 6
TW 9 stone

bit of a frustrating week tbh. Had quite a bit of nausea and suppression so didn’t eat much. Then only fancied really crappy food, which I ate on the basis it wasn’t a big portion. So just barely in a calorie deficit but definitely in a nutritional deficit. Think I’ve got a bit of diet fatigue as well- some days am amazed at what I’ve already lost and some days a bit flat how far there is still to go. I’m going back to basics and refilling the fridge with healthier and more palatable options. Thunk I just need a kick up the arse!

JunoRoma · 03/06/2025 15:50

@OrangeDonald I'm glad the side effects have eased off for you, it sounds like 3.75mg is suiting you better for the time being.

JunoRoma · 03/06/2025 16:01

I'm continuing to lose steadily (averaging 0.5 to 1kg each week) but a bit frustrated that my belly isn't shrinking more quickly.

I'm very thankful to have got my BMI down from 39.5 to 28.5, but I haven't yet reached the target I set myself of getting my waist measurement under 100cm and my waist:height ratio under 0.6. And there doesn't seem to have been any movement in my waist measurement for about three months now.

I'm exercising regularly (both cardio and strength) and trying to be patient. Earlier this year my belly suddenly shrank a few cm overnight, so I live in hope that a similar thing might happen again.

Slimwannabe · 03/06/2025 21:44

Congrats @MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals @shrinkingfi @frogpigdonkey @JunoRoma @OrangeDonald and @TrinityWaves on all the great ongoing losses. Who would've thought back in December that we'd be where we are now?!

It's mad isn't it. I found a horrendously unflattering photo of me earlier at my absolute biggest and it was actually shocking to look at. I started this journey at nearly 19 stone and this [photo] was at roughly 19 1/2 so pretty much the same and it's mind-blowing.

Goinghome25 · 04/06/2025 07:08

Hi everyone

Well done on all the great losses.
Ive been away on a long hiking challenge which I am so happy to say I enjoyed and completwd successfully in the number of days planned.

I could never have done this before!

Ive actually put on weight which is probably muscle so I am not too worried. 10mg still working well to suppress appetite. Still just above 11st. Will I ever see a 10 on those scales? Been waiting over a month now...

However my next pen, ordered a few weeks ago and due to be delivwred tonorrow, may now be late as Oushk has just asked me to send in more photos and id again! Annoying! I ordered and paid for this pen 3 weeks ago so it looks like I might be injecting late this week if it doesnt arrive.

JunoRoma · 04/06/2025 07:18

@Goinghome25 that is frustrating. I think Oushk approve prescriptions in order of closeness to delivery date, rather than in order of the date you ordered.

JunoRoma · 04/06/2025 07:20

I woke up this morning with a visibly smaller belly and a waist measurement of 99cm! 🥳

OrangeDonald · 04/06/2025 08:48

@frogpigdonkey could you treat yourself to a half way to goal celebration? (my very bad maths makes me think youre around 6lb away from it, but could be wrong as i don't understand stones). I find having a reward to look forward to helps with diet fatigue. It could be a new summer dress off vinted, or a haircut or a massage, or a day out somewhere. Anything really. Because losing 3 stone is amazing!

@Goinghome25 wow for going on hiking challenge. I dream that one day my level of fitness will make thongs like that enjoyable. Fingers crossed your new pen arrives soon.

@JunoRoma you manifested a sub 100cm waist overnight, congratulations! I haven't actually measured by waist but tempted to dig out a tape measure and compare it to my starting stats

frogpigdonkey · 04/06/2025 16:32

@OrangeDonaldfunnily enough I’m in the hairdresser now! I think it’s just the combination of a bit of a stall and some of my worst phases of nausea since being on it. It’s just felt like much more of a chore for slower progress and I was getting a bit fed up!

Goinghome25 · 05/06/2025 12:06

Tomorrow marks 6 months on MJ and I am so so grateful that I began this medicatiom in December.

This year has been brilliant so far. I feel so SO much better, and lighter.

Not at target yet but I am okay to be a plodder now.

Managed to get more out on my 10mg pen so okay for a few days as there is no sign of the Oushk delivery today.

Stats are

Sw 13.7 bmi 33
Cw 11.1 i am bmi 26.8
Tw 10.5

JunoRoma · 06/06/2025 07:17

Week 27, still on 5mg

SW 107kg
CW 77kg
Initial GW 75kg (I may review this)

Loss so far = 30kg

Goinghome25 · 07/06/2025 12:15

My new pen is here 🥳 and Ive been advised that rather than go up to the 12.5mg pen next I can use the 10mg pen every 5 days. Has anyone else done this?

Lindy0070 · 07/06/2025 15:09

Greetings all!!!
Jab 27 today so by my reckoning that’s 6 months on the MJ. With the plateauing and slow progress I’m on average losing a pound a week. It’s slow and steady I guess but I’m halfway there which is much better than I’ve done in years!!! So I’ve lost 26 pounds with 26 still to go. Stats are as follows:

SW 213lbs
CW 187lbs
TW 161lbs
BMI 30.2

NSV, bought a size 12 stripy pair of trousers this week. Ok, they were elasticated but they fit 😂😂

Hope everyone is doing ok x

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 08/06/2025 14:00

Well done all so far. I'm also slow and steady @Lindy0070 I'm 6 months in and lost 38lbs. I'm averaging about 0.5lb per week now. But I'm not massively tracking.

weigh day today! I'm officially 11st 13.7! A 11stone number on the scales feels absolutely mental! Not been that in 26 years!

Still jabbing 50 clicks of the 5mg pen. So approx 4mg and the suppression is still huge. I'm not remotely eating properly though. Some days I'm just at 3 protein milkshakes and that's it! I'm going to try and get that sorted as actually I'll probably lose much more.

NSV:

In fab news saw some friends last night for the first time in forever. The first thing they exclaimed was how amazing I looked and how much weight I'd lost.

And I've been happily single forever. Occasionally having dalliances with FWBs. I haven't been interested for the past couple of years due to my size, feeling unhealthy and general meh ness about how I look. I've now got myself a new FWB on the go and actually feel just happy being me!

Slimwannabe · 08/06/2025 18:43

Another 1.5lbs off this week, very close now to dropping into the next stone bracket.

I won't be able to weigh next week as I'll be away and don't fancy taking my scales. Hopefully will be in the next stone bracket in a fortnight's time! 😁

frogpigdonkey · 09/06/2025 20:37

Week 27
SW 15 stone
CW 12 stone 4
TW 9 stone
total loss 2 stone 8lbs, 36lbs

had a good week! My diet reset seems to have helped kick start a bit of a drop. And looking at some of your posts have decided to add total losses to help me focus on how far I’ve come not just how far I have to go. Also the diet change seems to have helped with the nausea- I wouldn’t say I’ve been super clean but much more whole foods and much less crap, and my energy levels have improved. Feel ready to tackle the next 3 stone odd!

thanks all for the encouragement and well done all on losses. We may be a small group of crazy people who started dieting in December but I’ve found all of you a great help and support on the journey 😁😁

frogpigdonkey · 09/06/2025 20:46

@MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimalsi know it’s shallow but my greatest validations have been people I haven’t seen for a while being really shocked to see me- feels more real somehow through their eyes than mine! And happy news on your FWB. I’ve been feeling very menopausal and fat and uninterested for a while. Haven’t made it to actual sex yet but there’s been more flirting and I definitely feel more interested than I have for a while!

CountryVic · 10/06/2025 10:27

I’m still here, just catching up on all the threads. I started early December, down 17ish kilos in 6 months, on 2.5 and 3.75, about to go up to 5.

SW 94
CW 76
GW 68

Im on 3.75, I’ve had a week off as had family visiting and holidays, and I couldn’t get to the chemist to fill to script discreetly, I decided to take the week off mostly as I was just not able to eat when they wanted to, think big restaurant lunches and not make it all obvious, I just took 3.75 now and will go up to 5 next Tuesday.
No real side affects, constipation, but prune juice helps. I walk a lot and try not to snack. I did a roast tonight for the family but I chose to have soup. I definitely have food suppression.
i got food poisoning a few days ago, we were out for dinner and I had the steak and chose salad, and within 30 mins my stomach was churning, got home and I was so hot, cramping, direreah, why can I never spell that word!
I still feel like I look the same, I’d not seen my daughter for 2 years and she said I’d lost weigh but no other family have mentioned. I’ve gone down from a 16/18 to a roomy 14 so happy with that.
I have monthly phone consults so will see what they say on Thursday, I was told last appointment that I could go up to 7.5, it will be cheaper when microdosing.

All the best to everyone for the week ahead, I will try to post more, that AIBU page really gets me!!
