Has anyone readjusted their “target” weight?

starting weight was 14st 11lbs and weighed 10st 7lbs this morning - I’ve had 10st 5lbs as my target weight - this was the lowest weight I have recorded for myself (in 2016!)

I should therefore be feeling happy that I’m so close to my goal- but I feel another stone off to approx 9st 7lbs would be something I want to aim for - and will give a bit of a buffer zone for maintenance.

im 5”5 and 9st 6lbs would put me at 21.7BMI - in the middle of the healthy range

anyway I’m rambling. Have you readjusted your goal as you got closer to it?

My goal was 10.7 now its 10.. Im currently 10.3.. been lookimg at bmi and thinking 9.7 is the middle of the healthy range....

Its more importamt to me to maintain though and go down the doses... but if I can lose another few lbs and my face looks ok (old lady) I might.

When I started at 107kg, I set a target weight of 75kg (BMI 27.5). Then kept going until I reached a weight where I was happy with my waist measurement, which turned out to be 68kg (BMI 25).

Current weight is 67kg (a loss of 40kg).

Now my targets are:

  1. Maintain weight between 66kg and 70kg.
  2. Maintain the muscle improvement I've managed to build over the past ten months.

I’m basically where Juno is. Started at 103 kg and thought I’d be over the moon to get to 83. Since the medicine worked well for me, I revised to 75, which I weighed at 19. Then decided to go for BMI 25, which is 73.6 for me. Then realized I wanted to maintain under that goal, not around it.

Now I’m fluctuating between 71.1 and 72.2 or so. I have 70.3 as a goal at the moment, but no hurry to get there. More important to maximize health through varied food and exercise now. So yeah, lots of goal revisions!

@mjjourney I'm not 100% on my goal weight currently either. My original goal was just to lose 4st, which seemed impossible when I started. It's now to have lost 8st, but I figure when I get to that point I'll see how I look/feel.

As expected, a 1.5lb gain this week. Not sure why I always gain when I ovulate and not when I get my period like everyone else! 🤣 Hopefully it'll drop off +some extra next week. My tummy was really visibly swollen yesterday, so need to deflate a bit!

Slim, I get that too. Weight suddenly drops with period and then I go up and bulge towards ovulation. Am quite annoyed to have cycles again, it’s one of the only downsides of MJ for me. Mini pill had stopped them for years

Today I weighted myself and im in the 12’s!! Such an amazing feeling, haven’t been this weight since 2013! My initial target when I first started MJ was 13st, then I reduced it to 12st and now I’m thinking about lowering it to 11st/11st7. That would take me to target BMI of 23/24 ish. I think I’d like to get to 11 stone as that was always my ideal weight that I felt good at during my 20’s. I just never dreamed I’d get near that.

has anyone found their head hasn’t adjusted to not being big anymore? In my head I’m still 19st and a size 22. I hold clothes up in a 12/14 and think no way will that fit me!

Less happily I’ve started having nightmares about finding myself eating fatty, carby foods

Infrequent poster here but been on this journey since December 2024 and I’ve followed all of your journeys, you are all so inspirational!
Although my weight loss is very slow compared to you lovely lot I am so happy with how I’m doing in general.
Starting weight: 16st 2
Current weight: 12st 12
My BMI is still too high at 34 but I’m feeling so much healthier now and still inspired to keep going for however long it takes!

I've been in maintenance since August, and started gradually tapering down the dose at the beginning of September. Currently taking 4mg every 7 days.

SW: 107 kg
CW: 66.5 kg
GW: 68 kg

I'm definitely hungrier, and food noise has returned (particularly in the evenings) so I don't want to reduce the dose any further at this stage.
When I ignore the food noise and don't snack, I lose approx 0.5kg per week (and I don't want to lose any more weight).
I know I need to increase portions of protein and fibre, but those aren't the foods I'm craving. 😂

Am feeling so bloaty and gross with it this month. Had wine and a takeaway pizza yesterday, with my hormonal eating at the moment any weightloss will be a miracle.

Been a few weeks since I’ve updated my progress.

Week 46
SW 213 lbs

Just over a stone to go until I get to my goal weight. It’s been slow over the last few weeks but I have lost 2 pounds this last week which has boosted my confidence. I’m currently taking 45 clicks from my 12.5mg pen. It works out around 9.38mg and stretches out my doses. I have one full pen left and am wondering whether to get another one and halve my doses to stretch it over 2 months. It’s just so expensive and part of me is thinking that I should have the tools to do this now alone. It’s coming up to a year and I’m eternally grateful for the progress I’ve made. I still have a way to go still though and I can’t face the thought of getting to that size again!!
I’m grateful to the support from all of you on this too over the last year!!

I haven't posted for a while, am still stalling (losing just under 1kg every 6 weeks, so i guess its still losing but equally its pretty much like I'm experiencing what maintenance will be like). A measly 2.7kg to go till i get to goal, yet my body seems to be stubbornly holding onto the last excess weight.

Ive gone up to a 7.5 pen hoping that it would kickstart final push but feels no different on higher dose.

Weird side effect at the moment is that my period is now 6 days late. Is it the MJ? Or is it being mid 40s and perimenopasual? Who knows. Scared me enough to do a pregnancy test this morning, which thankfully was negative.

Can’t quite believe it’s 11 months since I started. I’ve lost 6 stone and am maintaining at 8-8.7 stones. I even managed to stay the same on a holiday last week.

Revelation of the day is that I’ve just deadlifted 40kg. It was really bloody heavy and that’s about what I’ve lost. Can’t believe I was lugging that around every day.
