Just starting up a new thread!

@Goinghome25 next MJ will be to blame for global warming and WW3. The anti-MJ brigade are quite strangely militant!

Haha! They really are!!

Goinghome25 · 28/09/2025 21:43

I had a really positive conversation with my family GP last week.

Was getting results back from a recent gynae scan that shows a marked improvement from the last one.

We were chatting about MJ and he is only positive about its unexpected positive side effects, very supportive of patients who are taking it and totally delighted with my now healthy BMI.

TrinityWaves · 29/09/2025 11:49

@Goinghome25 - that all sounds really positive 😊

@Slimwannabe - that's awesome, I now have a bike too 😊Tried riding one a few years back and literally felt so out of breath I had to stop after about 0.2 miles 😅

@MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals - you are so close, that is frustrating! Vinted for some clothes??

@ShrankLastWinter - wow, awesome to have dropped a little bit more!

@JunoRoma - great on the BMI 25! How long do you plan to spend tapering down? It's actually almost harder to get the right dose for this, I think!

We are very quiet on here but that's actually a positive that so many are at goal (not me!). We are also like a rural village primary school cohort because who starts a diet just before Christmas 😆

JunoRoma · 29/09/2025 15:16

@TrinityWaves
Since I decreased the dose slightly, I'm finding that some weeks I'm easily able to stay on track with the healthy food choices and sensible portion sizes. Other weeks I'm getting hungry quite soon after meals and spending a lot of time thinking about food.
So my answer will vary according to which sort of week it is.

It's possible that I may only be able to have two out of these three things at the same time:

  1. Coming off Mounjaro completely
  2. Being a healthy weight / not obese
  3. Not spending half of every day being hangry
TrinityWaves · 30/09/2025 08:20

W44D07 - scales moved this week
Loss this week: -3.8 lb
SW: 263.4 lb
CW: 163.4 lb
TL: 100 lb 🥳
TW: 12st/168lb met, now aiming for 11st/154lb-10st/140lb, unsure exactly right now.

JunoRoma · 30/09/2025 10:02

Great progress @TrinityWaves 🥳

It's so hard to know what to do long term! I'm going to be off MJ and presumably hungry a lot of the time (next year).

Goinghome25 · 30/09/2025 19:10

Well done @TrinityWaves 😀

shrinkingfi · 30/09/2025 22:00

I’ve been quiet as have stuck again for the past three weeks - while still technically obese. Everyone is going so well and talking about maintenance, I’ve got at least another 15kg to go. (Total
lost so far 24kg) feel I’ve lost my way a bit!

Hopefully this is just one of those mini plateaus and the scales will start moving again very soon.

Lindy0070 · 01/10/2025 13:55

I’m still here too but like @shrinkingfi I've been a bit slower than a lot of you. I have about 18 pounds to lose to get to my initial target of 11stone 7 pounds. I’ll do a proper update after I take my next jab at the weekend. I took a golden dose last weekend and I’ve had terrible sulphur burps and diarrhoea! Hope that settles down 😳
Another NSV, I went to see Lady Gaga on Monday in London and got into my Sportsgirl jeans I bought in Melbourne 20 years ago!! Feeling very good 👍🏻 💀💁🏼‍♀️

Its disheartening but keep going. Youve lost well so far and it will start to drop off again soon.
I had 2 long plateaus... weeks and weeks sts then suddenly the lbs started to fall off again. Slowly mind but getting there now!

Slimwannabe · 01/10/2025 22:18

Great news @Goinghome25!

Congrats @TrinityWaves! And yay for the bike - dare I say it, I feel like I'm bordering on fitness! 🤣

@shrinkingfi I feel for you, it's so frustrating when nothing moves. Have you tried yoyoing your cals up and down each day, or having a week of higher cals to try and give the metabolism a prod? It sounds trite but staying the same is still a positive as it's not a gain. Just a very aggravating positive.

I'm definitely feeling the hunger more this week, which after 24 weeks on 7.5 is probably not surprising. However, I'm finding it relatively straightforward to stick to my planned meals and wait out the hunger. I had a bad end of August/start to September where I got a bit lax, so for the past two weeks I've been sending my health coach my daily macros and exercise data, which is really helping to keep me on plan. Work is a complete arsehole at the moment and it is hugely testing my willpower not to retreat to the sofa post-work with a bottle of wine and the switch to zone out. Roll on Saturday!

How we all doing this week?

Just checking in as I like the discipline of it!

Lost 1lb this week so I am now at 10st3lb. At 5ft4 my bmi is now 24.4 😀

My plan is now to reach 10st then go down to 7.5mg by counting clicks for 4 weeks.

Then hopefully the next pen I buy will be a 5mg one.

JunoRoma · 05/10/2025 13:10

This morning an acquaintance greeted me with "You aren't planning to lose any more weight are you? It's starting to affect your face." 😮

(a) My BMI is 25, I'm hardly skeletal and (b) I wouldn't dream of saying that to anyone, let alone someone I barely know.

ShrankLastWinter · 05/10/2025 13:19

Juno, it’s a weird comment, isn’t it? People have been saying things like that (but not about face) to me for the last 5kg or so. My mil blithers about how I’m going to disappear. My BMI is 24.1 and I’m a size 14 so this clearly not a risk. Suppose they feel threatened.

Goinghome25 · 05/10/2025 13:34

They are used to seeing you as bigger.

It is all a big change for us so if someone hasnt seen you for a while it is really noticeable to them.

Having been yo-yoing in weight for years now I met with ex colleagues and it was actually all they could talk about!! I even got the comment "youre not going to lose any more are you?" I was bmi 25 at that point so still overweight

Not looking like you used to must make people feel odd and say odd stuff.

Ultimately it is your health, your body and you feel better... so sod them!

Lindy0070 · 05/10/2025 18:59

People can be so rude when it comes to weight loss!! I don’t understand why they think it’s ok but they’d never say anything if you’d put on weight 🙄. Be proud of yourself on your achievements 🎉

JunoRoma · 05/10/2025 20:39

Thank you all, I've decided not to take it personally. I'm content with what I see in the mirror and I'm enjoying being fitter and more active.

Slimwannabe · 05/10/2025 20:52

Oddly enough after years of telling me I should lose weight my mum has changed tack to "don't lose too much more". I mean, I'm still pretty hefty so I think I can safely carry on as is.

Another 1.5lb off this week, taking me to a toral loss of 24.95% of my body weight woooo.

OP posts:
JunoRoma · 05/10/2025 20:53

Well done on the continuing loss @Slimwannabe 🥳

Slimwannabe · 05/10/2025 21:51

Thanks @JunoRoma, looking forward to eventually joining you, @ShrankLastWinter and @Goinghome25 in the BMI<25 club!

ShrankLastWinter · 06/10/2025 10:45

Nice work @Slimwannabe and everyone!

I know it’s frustrating when it slows @shrinkingfi, but you’ve lost a lot of kilos!! You know how to do this and you’ll get rid of more. FWIW I found the losses much less steady after about 20kg off. Slower and less steady, but it still added up gradually. Hope you get an encouraging week soon.

So far I’ve dealt with maintenance by setting new goals and losing a bit more (slowly). Quite scared of actually trying to eat more. But first step is admitting this.

Goinghome25 · 06/10/2025 14:14

Well done @Slimwannabe
I think you should change your name to Slimwillbe!
