Just starting up a new thread!

OP posts:

@Goinghome25 🥳 for the healthy BMI, that's great!

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 14/09/2025 08:37

Morning.

Week absolutely no clue at all. Dropped back to 3.75 last week. Less side effects overall, but much more aware of eating cleaner foods and more protein.

Hit 10stone 10.3 so 1.3lb away from 4 stone. That still doesn't quite seem real in my head (or when I look in the mirror either).

Still think overall I'm aiming for around 5 stone weightloss but will be a very slow crawl towards it. And that's assuming I can manage the side effects as well.

How is everyone else going on?

CountryVic · 14/09/2025 13:30

I’m back on 3.75 too, the 5mg just knocked me about to much.
coming into spring here in Australia, so lots of salads in my future.
I've lost 24 kilos, that’s 52 pounds, and the app says im still overweight 😬

SW 94 kilos / 207 pd
CW 70 kilos / 154 pd
height 168cm

I have really chunky lower legs with a cankle, stupid lipodemia. My goal weight was 68 kilos, that was my pre kids weight 25 years ago. now im not so sure.

Hows everyone going with the rising costs? I pay $380 Au a month, so $186 in pounds, so I think your new prices match our normal cost, it’s always been $$$ but worth it for the inflammation benefits.

So we go on for another week ☺️

ShrankLastWinter · 14/09/2025 16:20

Nice to hear your updates!

I've set a new slightly lower goal after a few weeks maintaining. Realized I want to maintain under 30kg off, not around it, so need to shave off a bit more. Still feel better for every pound off and notice the difference when I do e.g. yoga.

Losing is much harder now, though. The weight tbh fell off for the first 20kg, but then started getting more difficult and now is super slow, despite same careful diet. Probably not such a bad thing, since priority is really upping muscle and reducing fat now.

Still can't believe I'm a healthy weight. Still surprised every morning and every time I pass a mirror.

Dose MJ 7.5mg since ages

SW 103.6kg
CW 72.45kg, waist 76cm, height 172cm, BMI 24.5, body fat 27%
Total loss 31.1kg (about 68 lbs), 30% of body weight

Original goal 73.6 (30 kg off, just into healthy range)
New goal 71.6 kg

ShrankLastWinter · 14/09/2025 16:22

@CountryVic you must be very nearly into the healthy range! How lovely to be going into summer and salad season. Dreading the cold and dark here

JunoRoma · 15/09/2025 07:21

I'm enjoying fitting comfortably into size 14 jeans. Have also been buying some long sleeved tops and autumn/winter knits on Vinted.

Its the best feeling. Being able to enjoy clothes and wear anything and look good in it. Just got a coat for winter... size 10. Its padded, really cosy.. but still flattering instead of making me look like the michelin man 😂

TrinityWaves · 16/09/2025 08:24

W42D07 - not much of an update this morning though!
Loss this week: +0.2 lb
SW: 263.4 lb (BMI42)
CW: 167.4 lb (BMI27)
TL: 96 lb
TW: 10-11 stone
Dose: 7.5mg (down from 10)

TrinityWaves · 16/09/2025 14:03

Also, I've weirdly had MJ messing with my cycles again. Last time it happened when I moved up to 7.5mg (a 12-ish day period although very light after day 5!). Now I've moved down to 7.5mg, I've had normal AF a few days stopped, then light bleeding again. Something about 7.5 sets something off! I will add I'm not on any other hormonal meds (like the pill etc). I'm not on any other meds at all.

I've also got blooming piles which is kind of surprising it took this long, as I've been constipated since Jan (although easily managed with movicol).

But reflecting on these minimal side effects, it's 100% been worth it for this weight loss (96 lb).

I would've love to have hit 10 stone by the end of the year but I think that might be a bit optimistic. It's slowed down now, I haven't had a 2 lb loss in ages (and I'd need a few of those to hit -27 lb more). I am happy at this size, I've also found people congratulating me like I'm finished so I'm assuming I no longer look that fat 😂.

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 18/09/2025 22:13

Haven't weighed yet this week as PMT hit and period is here. Felt I looked awful earlier in the mirror as bloated.

im still holding weight on my stomach. Obviously I've lost a chunk, but it's driving me mad.

I down dosed to 3mg this week and I still had an awful upset stomach and burps. I'm so annoyed as I have had no side affects until these past few weeks. Not really sure on what to do for next steps. Take the 3mg ish and just live on protein for a couple of days and see if that avoids it.

Goinghome25 · 21/09/2025 13:51

Did the 5th dose from my 10mg pen... must have had more than I expected left in it because I have felt distinctly queasy and bone tired since Thursday 🤢

10.4 this week. So Im tritating down next week for sure!

Goinghome25 · 21/09/2025 13:56

How are those of you now in maintenance phase managing your dosage now?

JunoRoma · 21/09/2025 17:37

I'm on W3 of 4.2mg (after several months on 5mg).
I have noticed that I'm getting hungry sooner after meals, particularly towards the end of the week, but so far my weight has remained stable.
I'm just taking it one week at a time.

Thats a good approach. A week at a time it is.
🙂

JunoRoma · 23/09/2025 07:53

68 kg this morning which is exactly BMI 25. 👍🏻

After how hungry I was on days 5, 6 and 7 this week, I'm reluctant to reduce the dose any further at this stage, so am staying on 4.2mg for the time being.

TrinityWaves · 23/09/2025 13:33

W43D07 - pretty much the same as last week and week before, though!
Loss this week: -0.2 lb
SW: 263.4 lb (BMI42)
CW: 167.2 lb (BMI27)
TL: 96.2 lb
TW: Original target of 12 st met (168 lb). Aiming for 10-11 stone, not exactly sure, especially where the losses have slowed and currently plateaued, fairly happy at this size though, wearing mostly size 12's!

ShrankLastWinter · 23/09/2025 19:15

Good to hear about all the progress, though sorry for those suffering the side effects. Trinity, wild cycles and piles here too, annoyingly.

I had a personal best of 71.7kg the other day, which is about BMI 24.2. That’s another couple of kilos below my target.

So I’ve set another stretch target of 70.6 or 33kg, which is also pretty much 1/3 of my original body weight. But that’ll have to be it or my new clothes will get too big, plus I think I’d look too thin and out of proportion. I’m a natural 14 at a healthy weight, not a small person.

My body fat percentage is down to about 26%, so I might switch to aiming to get that under 25% (which my scales say is fitness) while not losing more weight, to encourage me to eat well and exercise. Still on 7.5mg, will probably cut to 6.25 next week.

OrangeDonald · 24/09/2025 17:19

Today i realised that my scales are broken. They give different weight whenever i move them fractionally on my bathroom floor. So i could potentially be anywhere from 2kg lighter to 2 kg heavier than i think. I'm hoping its the lightest weight obviously.

I believe that in this situation the convention is to go with the lowest number.

Definately go for the lower one! I put mine on the mat for the lowest reading haha.

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 28/09/2025 08:19

Still struggling with side effects over here. Back down at 3mg and still lousy! Was supposed to jab last night but delayed until tonight as out this evening and can't face the inevitable stomach cramps that will be coming.

still annoyingly 1lb away from 4 stone weight loss. I really do need a boost soon to drop below it.

But we go away in October. Orlando and NY here we come and who knew I'd be 4 stone (ish) lighter than when I booked it last Christmas.
My only issue is I have hardly any clothes that fit now. My shorts will probably manage (going to try them all on today) but tops are no chance! So need to think about that pretty quickly.

I can't believe how quiet we've got in here as well. We didn't start with too many of us and now some have left or stopping anyway.

Slimwannabe · 28/09/2025 15:06

After a couple of weeks of stagnating, a 4lb drop this week, which takes me into the 14s (yay). I've also had to buy a new coat as my old one is comically large. Tried on an 18, which seemed a bit big, so tried a 16, which was actually still a bit roomy (chuffed to bits).

I also now have a bike. I cycle. I have not ridden a bike in about 25 years, this is bonkers that I have become a woman of movement!

SW: 273lb
CW: 206.5lb
GW: not sure

On my 5th 7.5mg pen, 1700-1800kc per day, 2-3Lt water a day, c90g protein, 10K steps (or equivalent time cycling).

You are transforming yourself! Well done. 4lbs off is fab.

You are inspiring me to revanp my diet a bit as Ive got a bit lazy food wise, stopped tracking, and been eating small portions of rubbish food a bit more than I should... ie coffee and a pastry, small tagliatelle.. although I have been swimming lots which makes me hungry for carbs!

Happy new coat!

You deserve some new tops to celebrate your 1lb off 4 stone loss!

It is very q u i e t on this thread now...

Quite a few folk are at goal now though.

Did anyone read The Times article yesterday on MJ affecting libido!?

Another week another article trashing MJ and not true at least in my experience.

Thanks! I feel you on the carbs, it's that time of the month and a mac and cheese sounds perfect right now!
