I keep waking up early too - 4.30am today, 5am yesterday! And deffo more tired first day or two after injecting.
So, I’ve just done my 4th and final week on my 2.5mg pen. To quickly recap, I’ve had no discernible effects on my eating, nothing positive or negative (apart from end-of-day tiredness/waking up early/some constipation) to note from a 2.5mg dose. So last week I did a full 2.5mg dose then turned 30 clicks to inject an additional 1.25mg to take it up to 3.75mg (not recommended, doing it at my own risk, etc).
The test for this week was to see if I could get at least the remaining 30 clicks (1.25mg) out of the pen (and then use a syringe to take a full 2.5mg dose using the ‘golden dose’) or whether as @Crikeyalmighty(I think, this thread’s moved too fast for me to find your reply!) found, the pen was locked because I’d taken a fourth dose out of it last week, regardless of the number of clicks/quantity. In which case, I’d use a syringe to get a 3.75mg dose from the remaining medication.
Well, I got the remaining 30 clicks out of the pen, which is potentially great news for those of you wanting to take less out of a 5mg pen each dose - it’s worked on the number of clicks for me (total of 240 clicks plus a few extra for priming), not number of doses…but to be aware, that didn’t work for Crikeyalmighty.
I then used the syringe to extract a full 2.5mg dose (which was 60 units on the syringe - 0.6ml). It was more difficult to get the needle into me, I had to push quite hard but in a controlled way to get it through the skin and that wasn’t pleasant. I don’t know if the needle had blunted slightly from going through the red rubber seal? But on the plus side, it was easier to depress the plunger once it was in. The injection area feels sore now, whereas I can’t feel where the usual needle went in at all. Maybe if you do it repeatedly at the end of a pen then you get used to it, but I didn’t like the whole process, almost bottled it, and don’t plan on doing it again as I’ll be moving up to 5ml next week and keeping my fingers crossed that it will kick in.
Hope this helps if there’s anything good or bad for you in there!
