I didn’t expect to need a new thread in under 2 weeks but here we go!

Thanks for all the support everyone. I skimmed the old thread last night and we have over 80 posters (not a typo) starting in the last 2 weeks! I will work out if I can tag regular posters later but the old thread is close to full so wanted to get this up and running for Friday updates.

W1 D7 for me today, weigh day and jab tomorrow morning. I can defo feel the effects wearing off, I had a couple of beers last night and usually have some crisps or nibbles with that. I really felt the craving but stayed away. However, I had a very strange night, woke about 4am and felt like I had way more to drink than I did, then I just could not go back to sleep, its gonna be a long day! Its also the first day I have woke up hungry.
Friday's are my nemesis, snacks and drinks. I am thinking of changing my jab day to Fridays! I will have to keep myself occupied this evening and keep strong until morning.

I’ve changed my jab to Friday’s now because i always over indulge at the weekend and get so annoyed with myself when the weight goes back on. I’m hoping this will control my habits this weekend.

Catherhino · 02/05/2025 09:37

Morning all, happy I’ve found the new thread and commenting so I don’t lose it!
Week 2 day 1 for me. Only side effects were awful nausea and heartburn/indigestion overnight.
SW: 193.6lb
CW: 189.8lb
GB: 11 stone ish

Morning everyone! Weigh day for me too and I lost 4.2lbs 😊 I'm happy with that! Maybe next week I'll get into the next stone bracket 🤞 I don't usually get a big 1st week loss!

Stats now are:
HW 15st 3lbs
SW 14st 6lbs
CW 14st 1.8lbs
GW 10st 7lbs

Well done to my fellow Friday weighers on their losses today 💪 we got this ❤️

I tried out my new electric shaker cup thing this morning for my Protein shake, omg it's so good! Silky smooth!

Anyhoo! Off to my 'sewcial' this morning, catch up in a bit!

Well done 👏

And thanks for the new thread wlinewbie0425 😊

Second injection yesterday, metallic taste and tingling tongue…nothing else. I have a feeling I’m going to need to go up next pen but I wanted to stick at 2.5mg if I could.

SkibidiSigma · 02/05/2025 09:46

Morning all,

Just checking so I don't lose the thread. W2D2 for me. No side effects this time except heartburn. No appetite really and eating is an effort. Stocked up on some cottage cheese on the recommendation of people on the other thread and planning to incorporate that in a meal today. Not something I'd usually think to eat so will be interesting!

Beabeautiful · 02/05/2025 09:55

I am a secret jabber, as I know my family would certainly be against this, so this thread is so inspiring.
I will jump in the scales next week. I've been at my heaviest for years now and want to get back to the 10.5-11 stone I was 15 years ago.
My autistic son really helps - he said yesterday 'you are a very stout little woman mummy' and I really am.

PoisonIvy89 · 02/05/2025 10:40

Good morning everyone, normal temperature has resumed and so far I'm feeling good today 😀

@Crunchymum and @catchingzzzeds Wow 5lbs is awesome! so pleased for you both!

@Mels2025 that sounds awful, maybe it'll settle down by the time your second dose is due, hope your dad is doing ok. I'm going to go google the chronometer app, haven't heard of it before, I use Nutracheck which is also way better than myfitnesspal

@Beabeautiful that would be a much nicer price, fingers crossed! the creamy garlic recipe looks yum.

@Lidlbitofmonica 4lbs is awesome, well done! good luck with your 10course dinner!

@Sunshineandpool Woah!!! I have a similar amount to lose and would love to see some big losses like that. Well done!!

@Cravingpotatoes you made me do math, it's too early for numbers. well done that's an awesome loss!

@ymemanresu well done that's excellent! all these big losses have me feeling so motivated right now!

@wlinewbie0425 happy to hear you're feeling better today!

@Chunkysewist Yay 4.2lbs down is excellent! linky please for your new protein mixer? I don't need another gadget, my protein shakes are not lumpy, don't give me a link, can mounjaro please suppress my shopping too.

@PeachSnail glad you're feeling a bit better today, nausea is not fun.

@Flowerchild547 hope you slept well and feel better today

@Selttan yay for a not bad first day, hope it continues for you!

@PumpKim Enjoy the gig, good luck avoiding the takeaway!

@RubyJuno 5.4lbs is awesome well done!

@MsRicoletti fingers crossed for the weekend, that's my danger zone too! hope that's the end of your heartburn.

@dozywelshbird oh no, it's hard enough to keep up without namechanges too!

@Beachbabes stay strong, read all the great losses everyone is having and don't sabotage yourself tonight, good luck you got this!

@violetmondays sounds like electrolytes is being very helpful for some people, gonna get some today just in case, hope you feel better soon

@Catherhino great loss well done!

apologies if I missed anyone, well done everyone, all those losses are inspiring me to go do some exercise and stay out of the kitchen!!
Wishing you all a fabulous Friday with only good side effects!

Coffeeandallthebooks · 02/05/2025 10:46

Thank you for the new thread!
I've been missing as had a bad W1D2 - which I think is not unusual- but I threw up massively after bad heartburn. Managed toast at 6am today, will see how it goes!
Well done to everyone who has lost, and commiserations to my SA sufferers, it's really unpleasant. But hopefully won't last!

@RubyJuno I know what you mean, I am 44 too and went from 16 to 13 stone 2 years ago. I've never been a normal weight and the change felt really strange. But I wish I hadn't put 2 stone back on, so I've decided I would rather get used to a healthy weight, even if it feels strange, and fake it till I make it as a new me!

You're forgiven 😝 I'm just easily confused. I totally get namechanging for privacy especially when posting stuff like how much we weigh!

verity888 · 02/05/2025 10:56

Thanks for the new thread.

I'm w1d3 today and I'm hungry!!!

AbundanceofKatherines · 02/05/2025 11:16

Morning losers! Thanks for the new thread @wlinewbie0425Smile Great news on the losses and so sorry for those experiencing nasty side effects.

just checking in as I’m off on holiday later - I will try to resist obsessing while away and will not be taking scales.

According to Shotsy, I am at peak medication level right now and I feel great! I mean proper elated. Wondering if this is the “pink cloud” effect of laying off the booze. Whatever it is, long may it last!

Hope all goes well for everyone and “see” you all
just before we go up to 5mg Grin

AbundanceofKatherines · 02/05/2025 11:21

Meant to add - I frequently suffer from horrible heartburn (although, weirdly, not in the last weekConfused). I find Gaviscon Guardiem is the best treatment.

Crikeyalmighty · 02/05/2025 11:52

Ah adding!!

Thank you for the new thread @wlinewbie0425
Just checking in.
W2 D4 for me and feeling good! Only SE is intermittent heartburn at night which seems very common.
Well done everyone on their progress Smile
I'm debating staying on 2.5 next month, what are others thinking 🤔

Vixs13 · 02/05/2025 13:09

Afternoon everyone,

So on W1D5 I was so hungry then D6 the suppression came back full force didn’t really eat/want to eat and had to make myself eat as I was on a sleep in at work, my work colleague even commented I hadn’t eaten much she knows I’m on MJ.

Today (D7) and I’ve started my period still not really hungry went to a cafe with my partner and he got a fry up and I just had a brew lol just looking at it made me feel sick. Jab night tonight.

Not a huge loss in the first week but I’m happy with it and I lost some weight the week before I started MJ (4.5lbs).

SW: 13st 13.2
CW: 13st 10.9
GW: 10st 7

week one: 2.3lbs

Mounraine · 02/05/2025 09:21

Oops, sorry @RubyJuno that was more in reply to @PumpKim’s post about takeaways and drinks this weekend.

it’s about having the things you like but not going mad with them, isn’t it?

I agree, but after my experience after a Pepsi Max and small bit of Easter chocolate last month I daren’t even risk a little!

Crikey that makes it sounds like I'm about to have a total binge 😬 🤣
I was trying to say, I'm not but it will be interesting to see whether I want to and it's a struggle or if I can easily say no

Chunkysewist · 02/05/2025 13:13

@PoisonIvy89 this should be the link to the electric shaker cup you definitely don't need! 😂

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0BNHH8YS1?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

@coffeelover69 my plan at the moment is to do the 5th dose of 2.5 from this pen, I'm going to order a 5mg pen, do 2.5mg from that (as I'm going away and don't want side affects) then 3.75 for 2 weeks, then 5 for 2 weeks (using the 5th dose).

At the moment I am also thinking of staying on 2.5, but will probably take a call sometime after jab 3, will see how I go over the next week or so.

Brunocatmon · 02/05/2025 13:42

Checking in to the new thread, thank you for that

I'm wk 1 d5 and still not hungry so I think that's good. I've literally been forcing myself to eat all week.

I'm going high protein low fat and I've been eating completely clean, nothing remotely processed. Seems to be working so far. We shall see

StartingApril2025 · 02/05/2025 13:45

Weigh day and Jan day tomorrow for me but I am thinking of changing to Friday as honest it has totally worn off and I am so hungry today, had my lunch and my stomach growling! I think I will look into the app shotsy. Will I be like this every week tbe last two days before the next jab? If so I may change to Friday jag day as getting through a Friday day and night hungry is not what I want as Friday in my mind equates to take away and treats!

PoisonIvy89 · 02/05/2025 13:49

secret jabber here too

I'll wait till week 3 or 4 to decide if staying on 2.5 or moving up but if I do order the 5mg I plan to count clicks to 3.75, doubling the dose seems a bit drastic and I'd prefer to move a bit slower.

@Vixs13 well done great loss!

Ooh that’s a good idea, I might try that myself when I move up!
