I didn’t expect to need a new thread in under 2 weeks but here we go!

Thanks for all the support everyone. I skimmed the old thread last night and we have over 80 posters (not a typo) starting in the last 2 weeks! I will work out if I can tag regular posters later but the old thread is close to full so wanted to get this up and running for Friday updates.

@MsRicolettiyay for NSVs too - trousers are where I’m noticing it most so far. Also the bottom of a work top I wore yesterday skimmed over my hips as designed. Previously I was wearing it kind of tucked up at the waist. Just need my arms to catch up - the worst thing about the gain I’ve had is losing lots of my favourite tops and blazers, I used to have such slim arms I want them back! (Which reminds me of my promise to self to do an upper body weights session today!)

@Crunchymum and @catchingzzzeds
Well done. Fantastic

Chunkysewist · 09/05/2025 07:17

@Brunocatmon i think delaying and speaking to your provider is a good idea. Perhaps consider a half dose if you do decide to continue?

Well done on the losses! We are doing great!
It's 2.4 lbs off for me today 😊 I'm pleased with that as previously I'd be losing 1/4 lb a week.
Not sure if last night's suppression is mounjaro or a gastritis attack 🤔 I'm mega bloated. Either way it's a protein shake for breakfast 😁

SW 14st 6lbs
CW 13st 13.4 lbs
GW 10st 7 lbs
Total loss 6.6 lbs 😊

W2D7 - weigh-in this morning and 3rd jab tonight. It's been a good week with only mild nausea and a bit of dizziness. I've managed to get my fluid intake up, although scale is still saying my body water is insufficient. I've lost 4lbs which I'm over the moon about! Just a little concerned that I seem.to have lost half fat and half muscle. I'm going to speak to my health coach to get her advice on it.

W3D1 - Gutted to find I've put on weight!
Lost 6lbs the first week but weighed today and put 3lbs back on. Defo haven't been eating more but maybe less active. Stomach looks slimmer though.
Anyway, will inject today and carry on.

Chunkysewist · 09/05/2025 07:55

@TheSilentSister oh no, I can understand that would be disappointing but it's probably just a fluctuation, maybe hormonal or water weight etc.
Hopefully next week the scales catch up 🤞

Sallycinnamum · 09/05/2025 07:59

Glad to say my work week from hell is over and I'm feeling much better health wise.

Third jab due tonight and I still have very strong suppression so I think I'll see how 2.5 goes this week. Frankly I can't see ill ever need to move up to 5 the wsy things are going!

In total I've lost 7.5lbs in two weeks so really thrilled!

CW 11.2lbs

Be secure in the knowledge that you haven't gained 3lb of fat. Weight is influenced by all sorts of things and fluctuations are normal. That's why I take a daily weight and average it for the week.

Coventree · 09/05/2025 08:02

Well done for all the losses and NSVs! (So wish we had emojis for posts as others said) 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Keep going @TheSilentSister - maybe your body just needs a bit of time of adjust

Scousebloke · 09/05/2025 08:12

@Sunshineandpool and @Sallycinnamum well done

@TheSilentSister Keep going and you will get the results you deserve

GoGoGovy · 09/05/2025 08:15

@TheSilentSister “Stomach looks slimmer though.” Brilliant! Keep going.

I’ve had days too when mine has gone up then down again 2 days later. Use a tape measure and record everything , it’s a better indicator . My thighs are nearly 2 inches slimmer in just under 3 weeks with 9.5 llbs off.

Maybe you've lost from your waist?

StartingApril2025 · 09/05/2025 08:37

@GoGoGovy I have thought about this too, similar answer or what @wlinewbie0425 has said but I’m gona add in found out my cholesterol was very high ( truth!) and told I had three months to lose weight and exercise more or id be put on statins ( also truth!) so that’s the motivation for the weight loss.

MsRicoletti · 09/05/2025 08:47

I wondered if anyone here is using ADHD medication alongside Mounjaro?
it’s likely to be a while before I start this, and will of course be discussing with my Doctor about potential interaction.

just wondered if anyone has experience of this and is willing to share?

Beachbabes · 09/05/2025 09:20

W2 D7 for me, jab and weigh in tomorrow morning. Felt hungry yesterday but went for my dip in the evening and kept the snacking at bay. I woke during the night with Diarrahoea and feel urgh this morning. I don't think I am eating the right things at all. I think I need to manage my food better, I need to sit down this weekend and meal plan. I find I'm just winging it with whatever is there and whatever I feel like eating, which isn't always a good choice, very little veg or fruit.
I tried the ChatGPT for the menu but looked at the options and wasn't bothered 😂 Hoping for a 2lb loss tomorrow

GoGoGovy · 09/05/2025 06:43

Morning all!

Absolutely no suppression yesterday, so I’m injecting today. One day early.

Question. If you’re not telling friends that you are on wli’s, how are you going to explain your weight loss? I only ask, because I have a colleague who is absolutely against Wlis. She works hard to keep her weight down and is very disciplined. She has watched me start and fail different types of diets over the years. If I do lose weight ( and I better lose weight!), how do I explain it?
Just wondering what you are planning on doing/saying.

I will say I’m doing the injections. Or I will say it’s none of their business if it’s someone where it really is none of their business.

dozywelshbird · 09/05/2025 09:28

some amazing losses and NSVs - very inspiring 😁

I'm W2D5 and feeling pretty good, yesterday I had no desire to eat at all and made myself get 800cals in, its such a great feeling to feel so in control of food for a change... not hungry this morning, had my collagen coffee and going to leave food until lunch

I'm reading about the pen locking after 4 injections? Is this true? I was going to order the 5mg pen next but do 2.5 or maybe 3.75 doses, but if it locks then that's wasted medicine isn't it, any tips on how to get the doses out of the pen if it locks?

Hope everyone has a good day😄

RubyJuno · 09/05/2025 10:04

Morning all. 3rd jab last night and weighing in this morning I’ve only lost a pound since last week but that seems a fairly standard experience doesn’t it? I’ve lost 3cm round waist and 4cm round hips and overall 10lb since March (lost a tiny bit pre-mounjaro). Most excitingly I’m a shade under 17st now - I’ve not seen a 16 on the scales since 2020!

I feel like I ate quite a lot yesterday but it was only 2 normal meals! Had a duck breast (decadent!) with vegetable egg fried rice for lunch and it was delicious and filled me up for the rest of the day! Husband worked very late so we didn’t eat til 10pm but had a chicken breast with garlicky winey lentils. Very full afterwards but not uncomfortably so.

Coventree · 09/05/2025 11:36

Well done @RubyJuno slow and steady will do it 😊

@dozywelshbird re the pen ‘locking’, I think I worked it out somewhere below - you get 240 clicks in a pen and you can’t go past 60 clicks in one dose which gives you your four full doses (4x60=240). If you go under a full dose by doing less clicks (I.e. 15 clicks to get a quarter dose, 30 to get a half dose, 45 to get 3/4 dose, etc), you can carry on using the pen until all of the 240 clicks have been used up, so you should be fine.

Caddycat · 09/05/2025 11:37

Well done everyone! 24h in jab 1 and not any side effects or suppression but I guess that's to be expected at 1.25mg. I've kept to my low calorie/low fat diet yesterday and feel motivated despite the lack of suppression.

violetmondays · 09/05/2025 12:05

Morning everyone. Decided to delay 3rd jab by 1 day as recovering from flu, so am now a Friday jabber! Did it this morning - still don't feel well but I did some research online and there wasn't really anything to say I shouldn't carry on with it so fingers crossed I'll be ok. I'm not hungry at all, haven't been all week, not sure if it's the illness or the MJ or a combination.

Congrats to all of those who have lost 👏and I know there was a couple of people who were disappointed this week so sending hugs and positive vibes to you.

@GoGoGovy in terms of telling people, I agree with @wlinewbie0425 that it really is none of anyone's business but your own. I have told my closest friends (some of them are on it too) but other people don't need to know the inns and out of my private life, just like I probably wouldn't mention I was on meds for hypertension unless there was a reason to. If anyone comments on my weight loss and asks how I did it I will probably just say 'hard work, mostly diet', which is the truth!

Crikeyalmighty · 09/05/2025 12:32

@Coventree didn’t work like that for me - I counted clicks and used 4 doses at 45 clicks on 2.5 and it locked after my 4th dose and simply wouldn’t turn any more. Don’t know why , but it definitely did .

Caddycat · 09/05/2025 12:42

Just wondering what you are planning on doing/saying.

I would tell the truth, you are following a low calorie, high protein diet with some exercise... what gave you the motivation is irrelevant and none of her business...
