When I’ve blipped going back to basics hard for a few days helps me re-set. Eating high protein, medium fat low carb, track everything, fast min 14hr aim for 16hrs if I can. Exercise strength training & walking. Drink plenty fluids. Avoid sugary things. Without doing this I could and would easily spiral into high carb high sugar eating & easily gain lbs. It’s sucks but I just can’t take a week off I can have a couple more relaxed days but not a week. It’s obviously my metabolism and I’ve got to suck it up. I’ve got a couple of pens in the fridge I’m going to experiment breaks in between the pens to see how much I can spread it out and hope they sort out the pricing and supply issues.

daffodilandtulip · 06/09/2025 19:06

I've been freezing all week. I've just gone through my things from last winter and everything looks ridiculous. I know this is a nice problem to have but I bought some lovely things thinking I'd met my target 😫

Who'd ever think I was gutted that size 8 jeans were too big 🙈🤣

Ineffable23 · 21/09/2025 20:58

Just popping in with another "life post stopping" post. How is everyone else doing, is anyone else coming off after the price rises?

I'm now 11 months post stopping and sitting 4lb above where I stopped. I put 9lb back on over the first few months after stopping and got rid of 5 of those and have been sitting where I am now for several months. The 5 lb above where I am now went on when I failed to weigh myself for a month and a bit. Lesson duly learnt and have been weighing a couple of times a week since then.

I'm now beyond the timeline the study I saw gave for weight regain (10 months) and my net regain has been 4/30lb lost on MJ, so 1.8/13.6kg or 13%. Given my pre-MJ weight loss as well, that's less than 8% of my total loss. That seems to be less than 20% of what study participants regained, but I have done a lot of searching and can't find the full journal article so assume it can't have been published yet which is a shame as I would like to see the distribution of weight regain. If anyone has managed to find it please let me know!

Hope everyone else is doing okay!

daffodilandtulip · 21/09/2025 22:44

I'm still on 5mg because I'm scared to stop. I was maintaining since July but have lost a pound a week for the past two weeks so not sure what's going on or what the next plan is.

I'm now 7st 12lb and my BMI is 21. It's strange getting used to the scales not moving constantly, and I still haven't got used to the size of clothes I can wear. I bought some SIZE SIX jeans today and didn't for the life of me think I would be keeping them.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 22/09/2025 00:09

Great to see people checking in! Like @daffodilandtulip I have come down to 5mg after reaching my goal weight in May. Hoping my weight will settle here although I still have restricted appetite and feel stuffed a lot of the time. I put on a few lbs on holiday but they’ve gone again now and am sitting around 8st 2. I put on my size 8 jeans this morning and was disturbed to find they’re a bit baggy…

Am tempted to try 3.75 if I still feel like this in the next few weeks! Although the new running habit probably isn’t helping😂

OP posts:
daffodilandtulip · 22/09/2025 07:34

Yes @IReallyNeedThisToWork I have a new gym habit. While I wasn't losing, my body shape was still changing and the loose skin on my belly is very very slowly shrinking, so clothes are getting looser!

I'm on holiday in October so I don't want to upset things, but I might go down to 2.5 after that if I'm still losing. I've just ordered another 5mg to take me to the start of November so I'll decide when I'm back. I just don't like the idea of feeling hungry and having sugar crashes a the time. I'm enjoying not being obsessed with food.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 22/09/2025 09:00

@daffodilandtulip oh YES!! The lack of the food obsession (and wine in my case!!) is so liberating!!

I am still waiting for the skin to do something, anything tbh! I did notice the other day that my arms are possibly less saggy but the belly and the tops of my thighs… 😔

Hope you’re enjoying the gym. I am about to start week 5 of the couch to 5k and frankly amazed that I can run for any length of time at all!! Saw my lung consultant last week and it’s confirmed I do have COPD but it’s mild and caused by inflammation rather than scar tissue so I have yet another inhaler to try and help. He did say that losing weight will have helped enormously and we had a little chat about MJ and its impact on asthma. All fairly positive I suppose.

Let us know how any shift to 2.5 goes. I am a bit scared of going so low in case it all goes pear shaped 😂

Another checking in I took a 3wk break between pens but carb craving this week has been climbing very high and all my joints just ache again. It was one of the biggest bonuses for me the huge reduction in joint pain. So I’ve restarted 2.5mg again doing 30c. I’m going to see if I can tick over on 20c of 5mg pen. I’m exercising loads but had to really focus on high protein last week to stop me eating twice the carbs & sugar I actually need. Really not sure I can do well without 2-2.5mg to maintain my blood sugar levels & joint pain. My weight has stayed within 2-3lb tolerance and I’ve continued to tighten up all over as doing some weights with running. Love being size 12 feeling fit and strong but think I need some form of low level maintenance to keep healthy blood sugar levels.

TempusFuckit · 22/09/2025 16:49

Hi! Lovely to see the thread coming back to life.

I've not yet quite got to target, and tbh I've also reduced it so even further away, but less than a stone to get there now. I'm aiming for 10 stone (it was 10 stone 7lbs) and I'm now at about 10st 11lb.

The loss has slowed down significantly, but I'm definitely thinking about what I'm going to do once I hit target - particularly after the price hikes. So very interested in hearing all your experiences. I'm on 12.5mg and hoping to come right down to 2.5mg

I've been doing a keto-ish diet with yoga and running throughout, and confident I can keep that up if I came off. But I also know that I would probably start drinking a lot more again - I'd try not to, but I'm also realistic in that I would be unlikely to stick to one or two glasses without Mounjaro. I was just really looking forward to not paying £££ every month once I got down there, sigh.

daffodilandtulip · 23/09/2025 09:26

Just done the uphill walk home from my MOT. Obv not done this for a year. It took me ten minutes instead of 30. And I can still breathe (and was also freezing instead of dripping in sweat).

Megarea · 01/10/2025 21:59

Ok so a month of getting back to taking it a it more seriously and weight is coming off again and I've got back to just below my lowest weight so far so I'm very happy.

Not so happy with Royal Mail rerouting my parcel so my pen was sent on Tuesday and won't arrive til tomorrow. Hopefully it wont be too warm.

SW 252.6 lb
CW 182.2 lb
Total loss: 70.4 lbs

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 02/10/2025 05:36

@Megarea well done for getting back on the saddle!! The delay should be ok as the weather isn’t an issue. I’ve just ordered and my pharmacy are now offering a range of delivery options which were somewhat overwhelming with no idea about predictability so I bottled it and went for collection! 😂 They used to be good at next day delivery if ordered before 2pm but the new ordering process has slowed things down. Just easier for my head at the mo to simply go and get it!

OP posts:
daffodilandtulip · 02/10/2025 07:24

I've changed absolutely nothing, except getting back into the routine of uni kids back and work ramping up. No losses from July to Sept and now I've lost 4lbs.

BMI is 21 and I'm on holiday for two weeks later in the month to somewhere where I won't be able to control my meals - obv can control portions and it's not going to be processed crap but will be carb heavy, so I'm not worried.

But it is just mad that it's kickstarted again and now I don't know what to do about maintenance - still scared to come off it and go back to shaky, starving, food obsessed me.

So anyway, haven't done this for a while:
SW 13st 7lbs BMI 36.9
CW 7st 10lbs BMI 21.1
Total loss 5st 11lbs, 43% of my body weight. Figures I just can't comprehend 😵‍💫

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 02/10/2025 08:58

@daffodilandtulip it’s weird how that happens isn’t it?? Last Saturday I got up and was 8st 1 having been 8st 4 most of the week🤷‍♀️ I have decided I am happy with that half a stone range - more boobs at 8st 7, less belly at 8st 1😂😂😂 It’s a trade off!

I am not coming off and have def settled on 5mg for now. Who knows what the future will bring though…

OP posts:
SunnyDreamst · 02/10/2025 09:30

I can’t decided whether to order another pen as scared to drop off the re-order cycle. Zava with discount code is £60 more than it was in August for 5mg pen. At £170 anyone found better? I was getting it for £108 & stretching it over 6wks which made it affordable for maintenance. Unfortunately for me the carb and sugar cravings came back full force after a 4 wk break despite a very healthy diet & lots exercise.

daffodilandtulip · 02/10/2025 13:22

@SunnyDreamst this is me! I don't want to stop, it all go wrong, then not be allowed back. Mine is £174 so wondering if Wegovy is worth trying for maintenance.

@IReallyNeedThisToWork I can see how it's happened really, I'm so much busier which means more steps and genuinely not thinking about eating, but I haven't been trying iyswim. I like this new me!

TempusFuckit · 02/10/2025 17:07

I'm sure I've seen some people say their providers are happy for them to take a break and come back on maintenance. Not sure which ones though?

I've got half a stone left and am determined to start coming off slowly once I'm there. I've already started stretching out my 12.5mg doses to every eight days, but am also stalling a bit so wondering whether to just do a month of 15mg to get there and then start going down.

I've been reading the GLPgrad subreddit quite a lot in the last couple of weeks. It's been quite reassuring on one level that there are people who are managing to do it. But it's definitely not going to be easy.

SunnyDreamst · 02/10/2025 18:38

Thanks I suspect I will just keep going by stretching things out to make it more affordable. I really benefit from joints that don’t hurt as much & better insulin control it’s definitely having an anti inflammatory effect on my old body. I can’t get the same feeling from just strict diet as I’ve tried so often.

daffodilandtulip · 03/10/2025 13:18

New underwear wardrobe today before my travels! 30D bras (think I was 36G at my biggest) and size 6 pants. Absolute madness. But very lovely.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 03/10/2025 18:15

@daffodilandtulip how exciting!! I bought a pack of size 8 thongs for the gym today as I’m fed up of big arsed pants when I’m running 😂

@SunnyDreamst I am with Pharmulous and just paid £165 for a 5mg. They also let you restart if needed as long as you discuss things with them.

OP posts:
daffodilandtulip · 04/10/2025 08:28

Haha @IReallyNeedThisToWork you must be younger than me, because whilst they fit nicely now, they will still always be big arsed granny pants 🤣

coffeandteav · 04/10/2025 11:00

Hello All, great to here from everyone. I am still on it. But 5mg doesn't touch the sides these days.

I got down to 10.4 but then went on holiday and gained 10 lbs. Currently struggling to get that off with now on 7.5mg. Was 10. 11 this morning.

I want tk be 9.7 I haven't developed new habits and can still binge eat. Also have only had one gall stone attack since I was told I had loads of small stones.
I want to come off as I can't justify £300 I may buy one more and I will just have to sort myself out with diet and exercise. You are all very inspiring.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 23/10/2025 08:51

@daffodilandtulip I greatly doubt it! 😂 58 whole years old. Just been finding myself pulling them into place on a run. Thongs are working out well tbh😂

@coffeandteav hope you had a good holiday. I have found that going away with a friend who has a sleeve works well to stop me indulging too much! 😂

Good news re the gall stones. Hope you’re feeling ok.

The price jump is just insane isn’t it? Is 5mg not enough to take the edge off a little bit? I’ve now made it down to 3.75 and finding it ok other than the fact I seem to be able to drink a lot more again 😬 Not the NEED but I can definitely have more than the couple every so often that I was down to at higher doses. It’s probably my relationship with alcohol I need to address more than my eating habits 🤦🏼‍♀️

OP posts:
TempusFuckit · 27/10/2025 10:53

I'm at original goal weight! Which also means I've lost 101lbs, more than 40% of my bodyweight.

SW - 17 10
CW - 10 7

I decided a while ago I would carry on down to 10 stone and I've already started stretching out doses to every eight days rather than every seven, but think I might start beginning to taper down a little more now.

I've definitely got a good diet and exercise regime at the moment, but I know I've been there before and it's all gone to pot so not remotely complacent. Let's see how we go

In the meantime, I've developed a serious Vinted habit, so that's where I'm getting my dopamine fixes now!

JomonotFomo · 27/10/2025 12:06

Yay well done @TempusFuckit
