Welcome to the latest thread, all WL warriors welcome as always.

Congrats to us all for our achievements and NSVs so far. And props for all the support, encouragement and kindnesses throughout.

Feel we’re breaking the back of this now! Base camp is firmly in our rear view and we’re climbing on … will some start to see the summit in the distance, over the course of this thread? That is pretty darn exciting!

No matter what your pace, and if you’ve lost a microwave, a tin of paint or 192,000 bees: well done!

xx

Hope this stops Oushk using influencers!

I've been feeling like this for a few days now, I'm on 2nd 5mg pen but feels different to the first one, might have to go up a bit I think. The food noise is making a unwelcome return and i am having to be very self controlled with portions, although weight still going down gradually. I was really hoping I could stick at 5mg longish term 😭

Same, I was so hoping to stay on 5mg, the thought of more side effects as I go up isn't great.

skyscrapersinging · 23/04/2025 20:35

NSV x 2 today. Firstly am now under the “healthy” BMI limit of 25 (which I guess is really a SV, but seeing my BMI app turn green after years of it being red when I typed my weight in… such a good feeling).. AND bought new trousers in size 12. Was size 16 at beginning the year. Admittedly they may be slightly snug size 12s, but the 14 in them was far too large. Hurrah!

sc0ttishlass · 23/04/2025 21:26

@Mounjaroday haven't seen your weekly update, you usually post day before me and I love reading your posts!

I'm on med express and only ever got one referall luckily or unluckily so have no credit. I was working out today that ill probably be on this at least till towards end of year so I hope I can still access at a price I can afford!

After taking my 5mg this am I've got huge suppression. Had egg on toast earlier and felt so sick, just had a protein yoghurt and that's it. Towards the end of the week I'm fine but first couple of days like this.

Also for those struggling with golden dose, I ordered box of needles via chemist4u from link on here and they are just like the needles we use normally. I've had 2 golden dose so far via that method, maybe an option for some

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 23/04/2025 22:14

Sorry but what does NSV mean?

Mounjaroday · 23/04/2025 22:14

Extending a huge round of applause for @skyscrapersinging!! … amazing, congrats, you green zone warrior! What happens now?

Hi @sc0ttishlass I was just OUT of obesity BMI red zone right before Easter. However, I put on a teeny tiny amount over the weekend (lamb / chocs / good wine) so am back IN the stupid red zone. By 300g 😂

And to make matters worse, I mis-timed reordering my next batch, so have been running cold turkey for a couple of days. Oopsie.

But here we go:
W13,D2
SW 103.9kg
CW 86.9kg (-1kg on last week, including my Easter hiccup).

That’s going on for a three stone loss and I am over the flipping moon with that.

Am staying on 5mg for another month.

P.S. re golden doses. Has anyone else had friend’s ask you if they can have yours?

Non Scale Victory x

My best so far is stopping snoring. I’m sure my DH agrees!

Love to hear everyone’s NSVs 😊

sc0ttishlass · 23/04/2025 22:55

@Mounjaroday that's amazing, nearly 3 stone!! Also re Easter, I do remind myself that eventually we will have to live, and easter/chocolate is one of those times that we'll possibly want to enjoy in the future so no harm done.

Sad but true my best NSV so far is being able to bend down to tie shoes or put socks on without feeling like I was going to need to call an ambulance!

Mounjaroday · 23/04/2025 23:04

Totally know what you mean @sc0ttishlass.

It had got to the point that I was asking my children to do my shoes up! 😳

No and I would tbink it weird if they did
Have you?!

Surely…not?!

I know I’m a lone voice here, but I don’t do the ‘golden’ dose thing. And when I read hair raising comments about non sterile Amazon needles and getting air in the injection and all that caper, well, it makes me feel ill 😂

But nobody thinks sharing a pen is cool, do they? I might need to lie down..

Anyway, morning! Massive congrats on 3 stone down! Incredible!💐
I got 2 stone down this morning, although it’s not official weigh in until Saturday. Just watch that fucker crank back up by then..

Am also going to stay on 5mg. Loss has slowed a bit with second 5mg, but tbh that’s not a bad thing (I will be patient!)

HoratioBum · 24/04/2025 07:27

Morning all
jab day today, another 2 pounds gone and I’m finally over the first stone loss. It’s taken 2 months to get here, so it’s been a lot slower than many on here, but it’s all going in the right direction. Holiday booked for the beginning of June, so with a wing and a prayer I should be another half stone down by then and feeling even better about myself.

NSVs recently have been as PPs said, tying shoelaces is now not a problem, a bath sheet is going round me more easily ( although still a squeeze, before my boobs would pop out of the gap!) and - sorry if TMI- wiping my arse is now not quite the struggle it was.

Clothes are fitting much the same at the moment, but then I have been living in elasticated baggy stuff for years now so It’s difficult to get a read off them. I did try a pair of jeans on that I was never happy in before and while I’m still not happy about how they look on my stomach, they fitted much better than the last time I tried them when they were skin tight.

I had a look online to see how much a stone looks like in real terms and it’s quite staggering to think I have lost that much from my body - made me feel much better about what I perceive to be a slow loss.

Have a great day everyone.

Hangryfastjo · 24/04/2025 07:50

Everyone is doing fabulous, well done all 👏🏻

I've finally got under a weight a achieved 2 years ago, so am now looking at body weights I haven't seen for 10yrs! And my total loss is a teeny bit over 21lbs. Very happy with that.

Just had a proper laugh at being asked for 5th dose by a friend. Need to know your response @Mounjaroday if you managed to find words 🤣🤣

Hangryfastjo · 24/04/2025 07:53

Oh and for some honesty, managed Easter touching no chocolate, go me!😇😇
Yesterday consisted on 2 eggs........of the chocolate kind 🫠😳 jeez, not sure how and i didn't feel good, but in my defence had a rubbish day at work, being told about an anonymous complaint against me 🤐🤔

skyscrapersinging · 24/04/2025 08:14

@Mounjaroday Not sure really what happens now! Have spoken to my provider and they are happy to continue right down into the healthy zone, basically as long as you don’t get under weight, I assume? I’d like to continue losing, maybe another 6-8kg to be easily into that “green zone”, whilst still maintainable. But what to do about dosage? I’ll keep going at 5 and maybe turn it back down again to 2.5 and see what the numbers tell me. I’ve had huge improvement in my joint pain with this drug, so I’m kinda nervous to stop it, but that could also be a result of losing weight? It’s a bit of a magical mystery tour from here on in.

Mounjaroday · 24/04/2025 08:19

Well done @HoratioBum. Agree with you about that, err, more intimate NSV … I too have found the same ease of reach during my daily ablutions!

@SpiralSister @strongermummy yes and I think lots of people are working the system. One has offered to buy my golden dose. I also know someone who is sharing her partner’s Mounjaro: he takes the bigger dose, she has a smaller one each time. Both these women are already slim and BMI healthy.

Mounjaroday · 24/04/2025 08:20

For clarity: I’ve obviously declined giving my golden dose out!

So lovely to hear everyone’s different NSV. I think mine is being less grumpy to live with. Every time I dieted and failed I was so miserable.

sweetpickle2 · 24/04/2025 08:55

My biggest NSV is I can concentrate more! I have ADHD and currently on the waitlist for medication, so procrastination can get out of control with me sometimes. Since being on the jabs (and was the same last year when I was on them) I am so focused, am more productive at work than I've been for ages!

I know it's not tested enough yet to know if that's a known side effect, but I wish it was and maybe people could make a case for it to get it through their doctors.

Oh and other NSV, similar to arse wiping... much easier for me to shave down below now I have less of a gut to pull up out of the way!

Oh that's tough. Hope you get to the bottom of it and all works out okay x

NNSV office chairs feeling harder. Also need to buy a leather hole punch for my belts.

sweetpickle2 · 24/04/2025 09:10

Ooh yes @ivegotthekeyivegotthesecret I have moved from my 'fat belt' (which was bought very cheaply in desperation a couple of years ago when I'd gained a lot in a short space of time) to my 'regular belt' (which is the lovely leather one I've had for donkeys years)!

Fuck my old boots, the stupidity!

SweetPeaGirl · 24/04/2025 15:43

25lbs down in 8 weeks and I'm very happy with that!

Has anyone else felt bigger/worse self esteem after losing weight than before? I think it's because I was a bit in denial about how bad it had gotten, so now I'm noticing my body more. Does that make any sense!?

Also, is anyone else not calorie counting? All my previous dieting efforts have been calorie counting and it made me obsessed with food in a really unhealthy way. I see one of the big benefits of MJ being shutting off that noise and I don't want to counter that/lessen the effects by counting calories. I do think it's likely I'll need to as I get closer to my goal, but I'm several stone away from even starting to get close!

Fabulous, well done!

I’m not calorie counting either, for the exact same reason as you. No wish to replace food noises with diet noise. Works for some people, not for me. I’ve got to protect my mental health - that’s paramount. I’ve lost 2 stone in under 3 months, so it’s working for me!

Keep going!
