Welcome to the latest thread, all WL warriors welcome as always.

Congrats to us all for our achievements and NSVs so far. And props for all the support, encouragement and kindnesses throughout.

Feel we’re breaking the back of this now! Base camp is firmly in our rear view and we’re climbing on … will some start to see the summit in the distance, over the course of this thread? That is pretty darn exciting!

No matter what your pace, and if you’ve lost a microwave, a tin of paint or 192,000 bees: well done!

xx

Jab and weigh Day here, week 11 and 1lb off taking me to a 2 stone loss! It's also about the half way point I think for where my current goal weight needs to be.

I'm thankful every day that I was able to start this wonder medicine. I was going up and up at quite a pace before I started this and not sure where it would have stopped..

Hope everyone has a good week ahead

I’ve gone to do my injection this morning and found that I have no needles! I must have thrown them away with the packaging after the first injection from the pen last week.
Does anyone know if a normal pharmacy would sell them, or do I need to order them online and wait a few days for them to arrive?

I think they are the same needles diabetics use for their injections so it is worth asking the local pharmacy.

Hi all, I started at the end of Feb and am 1st 4lbs down so far. I'm on 5mg and am debating doing my first golden dose tomorrow. I've got the syringes, just don't know whether to brave it or start a new pen!

Did my first golden dose a couple of weeks ago after chucking my 2.5 pen after 4 doses. It was a bit awkward drawing the dose up, but after that it was easy to inject into belly fat even though the needle looked a bit longer.

I have a question which I hope has not been asked previously, but apologies if it has.

I am 58 and, having been diagnosed with Graves’ Disease in 1997, had an operation which took me from overactive to having an underactive thyroid and permanently having to take levothyroxine meds.

My question is to find out how other people are doing taking MJ, if they are in a similar position as myself?

I’ve taken my 3rd dose of 7.5mg but only seem to be losing about a lb a week currently.

As a lady who needs to lose a large amount of weight to qualify for a knee replacement, it is going to take some
considerable time (and money) to achieve my target. I have set my goal to be eligible by the start of 2026. However, if I continue at the rate I am now, this will not be the case.

Thank you for reading and a big thank you to anyone who responds.

Are you counting calories? Could you go into a slightly higher calorie deficit to aim for 2lbs a week? You don't want to aim for more than 2 really for a sustainable and safe loss. Ultimately 1lb a week is good safe progress.

Hi, there was a table put up a while ago on how many clicks to do for 3.75 dose. Does anyone have it, iv looked but can't find it.
I started MJ beginning of Feb and stayed on 2.5 as was working for me. These last few weeks I seem to have come to a standstill with weight loss and getting a bit of food noise. I don't want to move up to 5 as all side effects are putting me off ( I had hardly any on 2.5 ) I also have a new 2.5 pen in fridge.
Thanks

@ridiculouslyridiculous I pick up from Boots and wasn't given the needles once, realised when I opened it later at home. I went back the next day and they had some to give me so assume most pharmacies will have them.

Oh cool well done. So in a 1ml syringe, is it 60 I'll be injecting in which is 0.6ml?

flipflop76 · 23/04/2025 09:58

OK I've failed at my golden dose attempt so just started the new pen. I couldn't get the syringe plunger thing to stay back, it kept wanting to ping forwards so it was really hard to draw out the liquid and keep it there. I then bent the needle so it was game over. Worth a try anyway!

Yes, it’s really a tug of war. Took me three attempts and another pair of hands would have helped.Has anyone got any tips for easy extraction?

ivegotthekeyivegotthesecret · 23/04/2025 12:22

Day 2 of taking medication before a meal instead of with and I feel like the medication isn't working as it should.

I started to do this after the conversation last week where we discussed slower digestion meant painkillers being slower to absorb and therefore may not be as strong.

Am so relieved.

i just went back and forth repeatedly until there was enough in syringe.

Read on MN somewhere If you pull the new syringe back to fill with air and then push that into the pen it is easier but not sure how safe that is given air isn’t exactly sterile but then everything gets exposed to the air one way or another…

I meant IS not isn't. The irony of the medication being for ADHD.

Hangryfastjo · 23/04/2025 13:51

So for the 5th dose, my first one i pulled the needle back first, injected air then refilled the needle. I filled the medication with tiny air bubbles and really annoyed myself.
I found the second time I did a 5th injection much easier, you do have to push/pull a little, but just pull needle out once full.

Anyone noticed on monj.com that medexpress are doing "dynamic pricing" . Hope other sellers don't follow suit 😩

MynameisJune · 23/04/2025 15:01

I’ve just had an email from medexpress about codes. If anyone has their code posted publicly you have 48hrs to remove the post before they suspend any they find and they’ll also rescind any built up credit.

They didn’t mention dynamic pricing on the email. I’m guessing that means they will probably price higher as they’re one of the lowest priced suppliers around.

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 23/04/2025 15:14

@MynameisJune I've just had the same email. Luckily I've only ever posted on a couple of tiktok videos (comments now removed) in a secret jabber so wasn't singing from the rooftops.

I know the referral scheme isn't great and lots of people hate it but I've got quite a lot in my account, I just hope they don't pull it.

Hangryfastjo · 23/04/2025 15:21

I read on another forum that they will only remove your credit if you are found to still have your code on display after the few days grace they are giving you.

MynameisJune · 23/04/2025 15:22

I’ve never used medexpress to buy, when I tried to switch they wouldn’t accept screenshots of my previous order. I think the referral system where people were posting their discount codes on social media is problematic because it becomes unsustainable for the company and then we see things like dynamic pricing happen so they can recover ‘costs’.

There are quite a few new WLD in the pipeline such as retatrutide that should increase competition and bring prices down. Although I think that particular one is in testing until 2026.

MynameisJune · 23/04/2025 15:23

Yes that’s what the email said. They’re AI sweeping the social media sites for any codes shared publicly as long as they’re removed people should be fine.

WLINewbie · 23/04/2025 16:13

I posted my code on the referral thread but it obviously swamped with codes. Medexpress knew fine well what they were doing with the referral scheme, I'm not sure if they've been made to take action or they're losing money (although if they dropped their prices they would then be matching other providers so might actually get more loyal paying custom).

I hope it brings an end to tiktokers starving themselves to lose big amounts so people follow them and use their codes .

I am SO HUNGRY today it's not even funny. I found myself sitting thinking about food earlier this afternoon. Heart sank.

I've been feeling like this for a few days now, I'm on 2nd 5mg pen but feels different to the first one, might have to go up a bit I think. The food noise is making a unwelcome return and i am having to be very self controlled with portions, although weight still going down gradually. I was really hoping I could stick at 5mg longish term 😭

WLINewbie · 23/04/2025 19:43

Today I learned that even mounjaro can't keep me away from Easter eggs!!!! There's just something about EE chocolate I can't resist. I've other chocolate in the house thats not bothered me, it's v strange 😂.

The Easter choc is thankfully almost gone and I'm still within my calorie limit (protein has gone out the window today). I'm enjoying the increased energy the past few days though compared with the past 10 weeks of exhaustion!
