Congrats to us all for our achievements and NSVs so far. And props for all the support, encouragement and kindnesses throughout.

Feel we’re breaking the back of this now! Base camp is firmly in our rear view and we’re climbing on … will some start to see the summit in the distance, over the course of this thread? That is pretty darn exciting!

No matter what your pace, and if you’ve lost a microwave, a tin of paint or 192,000 bees: well done!

I decided that I'm not counting calories today.

Had a NSV - went out with DH and my 2 DS. I was taking a photo of them and DH said "you need to be in it too" and I just hopped in and was part of the photo! I mean, I don't like how I look in it, but it's a start!

I'm cooking a roast dinner now and DD is on her way over with her husband, so I've made a cheesecake (her favourite and she's pregnant so I had to do it 😄)

I ordered with Zava I had given the photos by Sunday it arrived Tuesday

What photos do Zava need? Did you swap from another supplier? I’m looking around for a new supplier to get my next pen.

Hi all and glad to join thread 5!

I'm not posting as regularly or doing regular weigh ins at the moment, mostly because I honestly feel like MJ has worked its magic to a massive extent. I am now on week three of 7.5mg and after a lot of consideration and consultation with my pharmacy (cannot recommend Sham at Medicine Market Place enough!) am going down to 5mg by counting clicks and thereafter for maintenance. 7.5 has not been great for me - way too much suppression (I can really only stomach protein bars/puddings from Lidl, frozen fruit and yoghurt and some nutritional meal replacement drinks) and I don't think it's sustainable. Also getting some extreme tiredness whereas on lower doses I was full of energy and was eating a really good (reduced) healthy wholefood/veg/protein based diet. I think it's all about listening to your body!

Anyway my stats from yesterday - 2.5 months in and I'm down to 63kg from just over 80kg, so still borderline overweight/'normal' as I'm a short arse but I am genuinely big boned and pear shaped (it is a thing!) so don't think I'd want to go lower. Fat has been replaced with toned muscle. Flat stomach, my waist is measuring at 25 inches(!!), my face isn't bloated any more and I look more like I did in pictures from two decades ago than pictures from a year ago (I'm 40!).

Overall this has been an amazingly epic journey for me, I feel like I've turned my life around and I am excited for the future. I really do hope this medication becomes more available to people who really need it but maybe can't afford it and is more openly discussed as opposed to being seen as a bit of a sordid little secret in future. Sorry for the ramble but good luck to all of you guys!

I have had a day off today. Calorie counted but only estimates rather than weighing everything. I did a 10 mile walk, but I did it slowly and enjoyed the views and just really enjoyed myself, rather than powering through it as fast as possible to burn as many calories as possible.

I've had some cake and some chocolate and now I'm eating Thai food for dinner. Opted for salads (yum nua, laab gai) with broccoli but also had some prawn toast. Haven't managed even a third of what I used to eat but enjoyed every bite!

Bit worried about any potential side effects but that's tomorrow's problem...!

Hi everyone! Happy Easter! Just ordered needles for magic dose... not sure I'll actually do it but at least I'll have the option!

Have eaten a bit better the last few days in that I've managed something other than salad. But not sure I've lost anything so probably back to the salads on Tuesday with back to work. I need to find some better low cal recipes long term.

Anyone found any relatively plain and low cal favourite meal?

I’ve been thinking about doing this - which needles did you order? There are so many online!

Ive really struggled the last few weeks. Have had extreme suppression and it’s really hard to eat enough. Any suggestions for easy small meals that I can have on hand would be welcomed!
I am on my 4th week of 5mg, and it was fine to begin with but wondering whether the cumulative effect has made suppression too high.
I have also been struggling with a really low mood which I’m not sure is Mounjaro related or just the fact that there’s a lot going on in life at the moment. It is very unlike me though, I’m usually a really positive person.
Anyone else also dealing with hayfever at the moment too? I’m wondering whether it’s cos I’m having to take so many antihistamines/ steroids just to breathe that they might be reacting with Mounjaro to bring my mood down.
loved it to begin with - but definitely enjoying it all less now.
Hoping I can get some strategies in place to help get me out of this funk!

Yes i swapped pen 1 was pharmacy 4u and pen 2 was iq doctor
Zava wanted a photo of my feet on the scales with a piece of paper withe the date hand written. Then the same piece of paper with a side and front profile picture. Not easy to do to get the date in focus
I don't think they asked for ID or my previous prescription, I can't remember.

Good morning! Well, I ate a creme egg yesterday..it was delicious! Previously I'd have had the box of 5 over the day, no problem!

To those with extreme suppression it's not a meal, but i always have sither one of those nature valley bars in my bag or some oatcakes. If I feel nauseous I have a few bites and it seems to work. What about making sure you've always got a boiled egg in the fridge?

For the golden dose if ordered from. A link on here via chemist4u, a box of 100 care point pen needles..31g/4mm...they are the same type of needles we have with thr pen and mean you need to twist it hard to get 5th dose but I've done it twice now, and preferred thought of that kind of needle than a syringe.

To @WelshRarebit18 and anyone considering new supplier, I originally went with second nature to get the added support but was too pricey so moved to med express..I had to send one photo of me and one on scales, and a picture of last medicine box from second nature. Also had to give original Starting weight. Was approved instantly. I had moved from obese to overweight. It cost £114 for 5mg as there is a refersll scheme. If you want i can private message my code as we are not allowed to put it on here (meaning we both get £40 off). I thought that was a good price...

@perditioncatchmysoul I've taken my jab, decided on 60 clicks (5mg) and then 15 clicks (1.25mg).
I'll do 4 of those from the pen then go to 7.5mg

just checking in fell off the wagon a bit however still a stone and a half down

NSV yesterday: went for a 90 min walk after lunch and felt bouncy rather than breathless. It's much easier without carrying the extra weight around.

Same (I've posted about this a few times so apologies if I'm continuously waffling on)
My suppression was really high on 5mg, it was miserable. After 4 weeks on it I dropped to 3.75 which was much better for me, took 4mg last time and all good so far. I don't think it's affected my mood though but been a bit more anxious about certain things, that could be coincidental.

I’ve been very silly and miscounted my pen- went to take my “4th” dose this morning and it wouldn’t turn enough, got as far as filming a video to send an angry message to my supplier, then did my matches and realised it’s cos it’s my bonus dose! Have got some needles coming from Amazon today so I’ll take it later tonight instead and get my new pen ordered asap, but feel very silly!

I've not stolen a single easter egg from my children this year! No interest whatsoever. This is unheard of for me!

Just weighed (Dose 8 + 2 days) and am FINALLY 1st down - 1st 0.8lb to be precise - after hovering between 12-13lb down for the last 3 weeks. I've done a little dance!

My order with Zava was approved however they didn't ask for any proof that I was already taking Mounjaro - would that be because they supply for Asda, who I previously ordered with? Just found it strange that they would approve a 7.5mg order without supporting docs.

Same! I only have one egg, from my daughter as everyone else knows I'm currently on Mounjaro, but I think she will have to eat it. A change from previous years where I was nicking hers 😆

@WLINewbie Our estrogen levels decrease as we lose fat which can cause hormonal/mood fluctuations.

I am post surgical menopause and my moods were great until I started Mj. I find walking helps clear my head but that doesn't necessarily help at the time.

Thanks for the update! I have decided to try 5mg every 6 days (and will do 5 days if it’s not lasting). A bit odd as Ive dropped dosage since my golden dose, but I want to see if this works!! I’m going to order 7.5’for my next pen next week :)

Oh my god I know weight fluctuates and there was 4lb difference between yesterday morning and last night for my order, but since I hadn't had any change between my two official weigh-ins I had a sneaky extra weigh this morning just to see and it says 14st 7. SEVEN! Two lbs away from the two stone💃

No doubt it will stay at 11 again on Saturday 😆
