Start of week 13 for me, and 12kg lost in 12 weeks! 😁
the new gym I joined has now opened so I'm just about to go in for my first class. Slightly nervous it'll be full of fit, young things.....and me.

Thelittlestranger · 18/04/2025 10:19

Good luck @MJalltheway

I have also convinced myself of pancreatitis multiple times over the past few months 🙄 Usually results in wind.

My dd is also a massive hypochondriac and we always laugh about a story when she was about 4, having a big whinge about all of her ‘ailments’ and I said she was a hypochondriac and she responded with ‘my hypochondriac is hurting tooooo 😭😭😭😭’

I forgot to jab last night! It got to midnight and I remembered but I was soooo tired I just went to bed. I am due 3rd jab of 7.5. This dose is working very well for me so far and I have a second 7.5 pen coming next so hopefully it keeps doing its thing. I’ve moved up every month so far so would be good if I can stick with this one for a bit.

Jins · 18/04/2025 10:28

Here’s a little tip for the hypochondriacs amongst us. Pepto Bismol can give you green tinged poo. So it’s probably not incompletely broken down bile and your pancreas is probably functioning ok

No need to ask how I know 🤣

HeavyHeidi · 18/04/2025 10:32

Congratulations @TicTac80 you must be feeling amazing! What will you do about maintenance?
I am actually thinking if I could possibly aim for under 60 kilos . Just a dream, haven't been that since teen years or so. But would still be healthy BMI and nowhere near underweight so in theory, could try...

MananaPenelope · 18/04/2025 10:32

@Jins I haven’t posted this 🫢, but I actually googled ‘does PB make your poo black’, when I first resorted to it, results said yes. I was 😅, absolutely convinced I had some sort of internal bleed.

Well done @MJalltheway , great loss and good luck at the gym 💪.

myladyjane · 18/04/2025 10:43

Thoughts and prayers to the wounded, especially zempy’s ds - tb can be a right bugger but hopefully he’s had a quick lie down now and/or moved to the Swiss alps. That hypochondriac handbook sounds immense @Jins. after seeing an episode of greys anatomy I do regularly worry about the brain fluid vs snot thing so I’d have hours of joy there

mammograms are evil. At my last I got told I had excellent breasts to mammogram as they were really easy to read. What she was telling me here was that they were saggy and floppy as the tissue wasn’t dense.

MJalltheway · 18/04/2025 11:28

Class was good! Going to book on another.
Stats so far, now I have more time..

SW 101kg
CW 89kg
GW 70kg

Loss this week - an amazing 1.2kg. Given we have been away, eaten out, been to a party (and drank!), I'm gobsmacked. I was hoping to edge into the 80s so I'm delighted!
Ive got a large pile of jeans in a size 18 at are no good to me now. If anyone needs any, shout!

Jins · 18/04/2025 11:39

You can get a second hand copy from Amazon @myladyjane
https://amzn.eu/d/dC1N4bz

Treat yourself and you’ll never have a symptom that isn’t potentially fatal again

Re mammogram - it did feel a bit like instead of heaving a boob into place it was just the bag they came in ☹️ Never mind. At least they’ll get a good picture

JoanCollinsDiva · 18/04/2025 11:58

Hi all, weigh day for me today and I've dropped 4lbs taking me to 10.12! Thrilled! The last time I was 10 something was my wedding day 6 years ago but I suspect my scales then were wrong and I was more. My initial goal was 11 stone but I'm changing that to 10.8 so not far to go. Need to think about maintenance now - I still haven't changed to Oushk (I'm so bloody lazy) does anyone know what maintenance looks like with juniper? I really should move though as juniper are so expensive and I don't use the counselling at all.

I think I'm suffering from low blood pressure and keeping going dizzy and faint - is that something those electrolyte thingys are used for? Must get some.

Im going to get another 7.5mg pen there's no way I need to move to 10, I'm struggling to eat most days and my skin has gone very dry which is a worry. Still seem to be hanging on to my hair luckily!

Zempy well done to you - we've been very close in terms of stats all the way through I was 13.6 when I started in jan. I'm quite tall though at 5"8" so 10.8 is about right for me.

Incredible how far we've all come in such a short time and most importantly, stuck at it. It's been pretty effortless for me in terms of side effects just tiredness and a bit of diarrhoea. I did have low mood a while back but suspect that was more to do with SAD. I'm not planning on coming off it any time soon I don't think, will just need to work out what's the best plan for maintenance.

MananaPenelope · 18/04/2025 11:59

@MJalltheway my size 18 jeans are all too big now. I took advantage of a M&S sparks offer to buy a black and a blue pair. I always buy them from Autograph or Per Una as I find the colour lasts really well and I seem to be able to get a good fit.

I have come across some White Stuff jeans in a 16 in my wardrobe, no idea what I was thinking when I bought them as they just do not suit my shape - clearly never did as they are so far away from anything that does.

JoanCollinsDiva · 18/04/2025 12:00

Jins
My boobs have suddenly gone to pot also. The triple D's I measured at back in feb are a thing of the past sadly 😂 gutted as I love having bigger boobs. Need a remeasure.

JoanCollinsDiva · 18/04/2025 12:06

MananaPenelope
I had a jeans cupboard clear out the other day - something I've always struggled with bc I always think "oh, that shape may come back in fashion", "those are an expensive brand" or "il probably need those size 16's again". But this time I put my ruthless head on and got rid of (well, the bag's still sat in the hallway!) 25 pairs!! I had 40 pairs altogether so must've kept 15 😬 no wonder I can never find anything in my wardrobes. Dd kept a couple of pairs saying they were "vintage" 😂

BlueLimes · 18/04/2025 12:13

Amazing losses @TicTac80 @MJalltheway @JoanCollinsDiva you must feel fabulous 😊

MJalltheway · 18/04/2025 12:14

I did a similar clear out about a year ago @JoanCollinsDiva , with a similar number of jeans! In my defence, it's all I ever wear. I have already dug out my size 16 jeans, but could only fit in 3 of them so I have another 3 pairs lined up for when I get there.

on the low blood pressure, my DD constantly has low blood pressure and the advice is to drink more water and eat more salty things - that's basically what electrolytes are, types of salts.

MananaPenelope · 18/04/2025 12:29

Wow 🤩 that’s a lot of jeans.

Zempy · 18/04/2025 12:52

@JoanCollinsDiva Well done. Yes we have been close but I am four inches shorter than you!!! I am definitely still overweight but I’m getting closer.

I have done shoes, bags, pjs and joggers/leggings.

Stopping for a protein yoghurt then back to it.

Do you all just donate to charity bin? I have a friend who is considerably larger than me, and she is doing well losing weight with SW. I am tempted to offer to drop the bags of nicer stuff off to her, but she’s a very sensitive soul and I am a bit scared of offending her.

DD will sell a few nicer/designer things for me on Vestiare, but my neurodiversity wouldn’t cope at all well with having to sell stuff online myself.

HeavyHeidi · 18/04/2025 13:01

I have a friend who is a bit bigger, but luckily she is happy to get the too big stuff. I also put a lot in a charity bin and I have a box of fancy things I am planning to sell, but this probably means I'll keep them in a box for a year before I decide that sod it, can't be arsed, charity bin it is.

DGonMJ · 18/04/2025 15:46

So this is very strange. Back home today from our week away and have weighed just now and appear to have lost 2.4kg since last Friday 🤯 despite eating almost daily pub lunches and treats! I’m guessing the walking has helped.
I’m now 62.7kg on the Juniper scales, which is the lightest I’ve ever been since tracking. 9st 12 in old money. Perhaps I was this weight in my early 20s when I went to the gym everyday. But I didn’t actually weigh myself back then it was more about being able to wear clothes I liked.
Perhaps it’ll all come back on after a big gym session tomorrow!

SW 79.6kg
CW 62.7kg BMI 23 - still technically overweight for my ethnic mix!
GW 62.4kg - revised down from 65, then 62.5 to get me to 29.9 BMI

Jab day on Sunday and I really feel that I need to start working out how to eat at maintenance.

Zempy · 18/04/2025 15:49

@DGonMJ thats amazing! I am off to NYC next month with foodie DD and had been really worried about the effects of irresistible street pizza, but I am feeling more confident now.

DGonMJ · 18/04/2025 15:56

@Zempy i did feel quite a bit of suppression mid-week, I’d often go for quite a rich main course and then couldn’t even think about dessert. So I do think if you have a few slices of pizza you may hit a natural point where you won’t want anymore. Love NYC!

Jins · 18/04/2025 16:29

That’s an amazing loss @DGonMJ. Great to hear so many have navigated weeks away without problems. I’m always quite lucky on holiday as I can usually find a gluten free main course but very rarely a dessert. The gluten free options are usually fruit which I’m not allowed or cream based which I can’t eat because I have a most unfortunate reaction to butyric acid and it’s at its strongest in cream. Being a supertaster is a curse at times 🤣

BlueLimes · 18/04/2025 16:34

@DGonMJ wonderful !! You’ve done so well. What week are you? It’s really a wonder drug that people are getting to goal with a few months.

RosaBaby2 · 18/04/2025 16:44

Stayed the same this week which is fine, so total loss 43lb in 15 weeks (I think 15)

Hope everyone has a good week.

HeavyHeidi · 18/04/2025 16:58

@DGonMJ Twins! My BMI is 23 as well now.

Just had lunch with in-laws, left half the meal and didn't touch the desserts. But the wine really didn't agree with me, gave me heartburn. And wow of you haven't been drinking for a while, one glass is really all it takes.
