New thread as I am sure we will fill thread 2 up by the end of today!

Welcome back everyone and well done for all the losses. Some have 5-6 stone to lose, some have 2 stone and me I have put 4 stone but looking at the BMI chart I could lose 6 stone and still be in the healthy range.

I am eating what I can and the weight is just coming off, I have no control over it, just the MJ doing its thing.

I have in the past had a tummy tuck with lipo and my boobs uplifted and there maybe a little extra in there.
I still have a flat tummy now, I would only recommend having work done once you have lost all the weight been stable for a year and have finished having children.

Oh wow, I’m glad it’s working for you!

Yes definitely, it’s going to be a long journey for me and I dread to think what my body will look like once I’ve lost the weight but a boob job is definitely on the cards 🤣 Because I can’t exercise due to my health condition, I think I’m going to resemble a saggy ball bag 🙈🤣

Flaitch · 15/04/2025 20:49

So after mishap with golden dose a fortnight ago, suppression was low so thought I must have done 2.5mg. Attended a birthday party 2 weeks ago lots to drink 2nd time since being on mj, but felt rough the next day and managed to eat all my Chinese which is a first since starting. Didn’t post last week as I was so disappointed as put on 😖
Had ordered a 5mg pen for my next dose used a code for Numan and got it for £109 but was SO nervous about SE I decided to go with 3.75. Found it worked really well - back to the same feeling as week 1 on 2.5mg. Back on track this week 🤩 took my 2nd jag today and stuck with 3.75mg.

SW 13.4
CW 11.13.6 new stone bracket 🙌
GW 9.7 (would be happy at 10- 10.7 but want lower so can be happy for my holiday and not worry about putting on!)

Well done to all, we’re all heading in the right direction!

CallMeStella · 15/04/2025 20:55

Ok so today is W3D2, I’ve had the neck pain and on/off suppression since yesterday. Today I had a late breakfast and a mango but I don’t feel like eating anything and am not hungry at all. I’ll have a protein shake or yogurt soon though just for some calories.

I’ve been in a really irritated miserable mood all day and even though I’m not hungry at all my brain is going binge binge binge 🙈 This is normal for me, by the end of the day I’m normally feeling exhausted, in pain and usually fed up and that’s when the urge to binge is the worst. It’s a feeling of I’ve felt so crappy all day, I just want something to make me feel nice and the only thing that ever has is food. Sitting there mindlessly eating, distracting me from all the horrible feelings in my body. This is the one aspect that’s going to be a difficult journey for me. I’m praying that at some point MJ helps to quieten the noise 🙏🏼

I’m so glad we have this group though to share these thoughts and not feel judged.

Oh yes also, WePrescribe just price matched the 5mg pen for me, £106.99 including the £10 next day delivery! 🚚

They're selling it for £150 currently.

That's a great price @CallMeStella who did they price match to and how did you do it?

I sent them a screenshot from the comparison site, I’ll post the picture. I asked them to price match and quoted the lowest price. It was available on my account for the total price of £106.99 so £96.99 I assume for the pen plus £10 postage. I don’t know where she got the price from but I’ll take it 🤣 She must of matched PilSorted even though there’s £1 difference.

@soupforbrains I’ve just done this for 3rd dose on 2.5 - felt totally shit for 3 days on first 2 - tummy ache and nauseous, not sick but enough to make it hard to do any work - so have now just done 30 clicks to see if it helps and if that’s fine will do another 30 on Saturday

popdepop · 15/04/2025 21:58

finally the diahorreah has stopped! what a 3-4 days it's been.
NSV - I can cross my legs. I can bend down easily. I don't need to push myself up from the sofa, my face looks slimmer. I think I'll ne over 1 stone loss in 1month when I get to my next injection on Friday now. I think I'll go to 3.75, we'll see...
hope everyone has had a good day!

soupforbrains · 15/04/2025 21:58

@Crikeyalmightyi really hope it helps you. It worked brilliantly for me.

museumum · 15/04/2025 22:59

I’m quite a rule bound person so haven’t taken any “bonus dose” or anything but I am thinking I might jab one day early tomorrow. My suppression has gone this week already and I’m supposed to jab Thursday morning and it keeps me on track over the weekend but I have a Michelin star lunch booked on Friday (very rare treat) and family Easter Sunday where I need to eat (not over eat, but eat something). WWYD?

I guess you still on 2.5 and it’s your third or 4th jab then I would say go for it, although I had very less suppression on the last 10 days of 2.5 mg. If you are going up to 5mg I would actually delay it , solely based on my personal experience with 100% suppression and barely able to eat first few days (you still want to eat some of your Michelin meal I take 😅). Either way you can take jab 3 days before or after day of dose according to the guidance.

Wouldratherbewatchingmafs · 16/04/2025 06:28

Hope everyone has had a good week! Another 2lbs down for me, which I'm super happy with. This is the first week I tried 5mg - the first few days were a bit scary as I just couldn't eat hardly anything, but things seemed to have settled now, so I will continue on 5mg for the foreseeable. My numbers now -

SW March 2024 - 18 stone 10lbs // BMI 41

SW 5th March 2025 (started MJ) - 14 stone 4.5lbs // BMI 31.3

CW - 13 stone 1lb // BMI 28.7

6 weeks total on MJ and have lost 17.5lbs!! I'm off on a sunny holiday in 5.5 weeks, so am aiming to get to 12 stone 7lbs by then. That was the weight I was on my wedding day, so, 2 kids later, that would feel epic!

Well done everyone on keeping going!!!xx

GameOfJones · 16/04/2025 07:53

Morning all, end of week 6 weigh in and I'm delighted because I've lost 3lbs this week and am in a new stone bracket! 🎉 3.75mg seems to have worked really well for me this week so I'm going to do the same again for my jab tomorrow and then consider moving up to 5mg.

Weight last summer: 15st 1lb

SW on MJ: 14st

CW: 12st 11lbs

So very similar to @Wouldratherbewatchingmafs I've lost 17lbs in 6 weeks.

Goal weight is 10st 7lb which would take me to a BMI of 23.

EchoNova · 16/04/2025 07:57

Morning - Congratultions to everyone on their weighloss! @TheSpoonyNavyReader I would love a tummy tuck, a friend of mine had one and she looks amazing. I've had 2 c sections so like @Amjam said I don't think I will ever get rid of my pouch.

@Justformounjaro I have high blood pressure and I am taking rampril the last few years for it. So wondering if I should check mine to see if it's dropped. But taking the medication will keep it in the normal range so wondering should I stop it for a couple of days just to see?

Week 6 day 1 for me. I Took my 2nd 5mg injection yesterday - and after having no SE last week I woke up at 3am this morning freezing and aching all over so not sure if I'm after cataching a dose of something or it's the mounjaro. (It's typical I usually WFH but had to come to the office today so dragged myself in and I'm hoping I can go back home at lunctime as I feel awful)

Weightloss of only 1lb this week 😕 but I see to be on a 2 week cycle of weight loss - losing 1lb one week and then a little more the following week.

SW: 13st 7lbs
CW: 12st 7lbs (1 stone mark)
GW: 10st 5lb

Week 1: 5lb
Week 2: 3lb
Week 4: 1lb
Week 5: 4lb
Week 6: 1lb
Total: 14lb's!!

taylorswift1989 · 16/04/2025 08:03

@EchoNova Don't stop taking your BP medication, but do check and see where you're at. If it's dropped to low/normal you could speak to your GP about coming off it.

I also take medication for high BP and need to check my numbers. I have a home BP device but I hate doing it, it always freaks me out. Had a couple of times in the past where it was scarily high and now it just worries me. I always wonder if it's higher because I have white coat syndrome in my own home with no white coats present!

PoundsLost · 16/04/2025 08:44

So - I took my first 5mg jab last night - no side effects yet but it is the start of week 5 and I’ve only lost just under 6lbs in total.

Hoping the appetite suppression will kick in soon. I’m hungry at the moment so trying not to have breakfast.

SW 15st 10.5
CW 15st 4.7 (start of week 5)

sigh.

I’m trying to move my days back so they don’t clash with my holiday so I have been steadily moving my dose back a day at a time every other week and I’ve been fine

That’s amazing! Well done!

I started a bit later than you but the same start weight (14st 5), I’m in the 13stone bracket atm and it’s so lovely to just not be in the 14s!

@EchoNova I’d agree with speaking to your GP before you stop taking BP medication. I had developed slight Hypertension after a very stressful period but don’t take medication as I was borderline. Now I have white coat syndrome at the doctors so I’d not been able to have the marker taken off my records but my average reading taken at home over the last month has been 120/70.

Tocktik · 16/04/2025 09:30

After looking around at different pharmacies I think I’m going to go with Oushk for my next few as they seem to support lower bmi dosing.
does anyone know if you can stack the new user code and blue light code?

Tocktik · 16/04/2025 09:35

SW: 207lbs - 14st 7lbs (1st March 2025)

SW MJ: 200lbs - 14st 2lbs (31st March 2025)

CW: 189 lbs - 13st 4lbs

so a loss of 11lbs since starting MJ and I’m only halfway into my third week! 😃

goal weight is 140-150lbs

I too have the mummy pouch so have been doing some light dumbbells and kettlebell exercises on YouTube to support muscle growth

TheBossOfMe · 16/04/2025 09:50

Tomorrow is jab day, Monday official weigh day, but here I am still weighing daily! And nicely back on a downward track.

One thing that I've noticed is the weeks when I stick to an eating window, I lose more. ie I'm doing 16:8 fasting at the same time, so all my calories in an 8 hour window, or close enough. On the days that I don't do that and have breakfast, I find that I actually can't eat enough during the remainder of the day and start to feel faint, because I've got a full feeling all day, vs waiting to eat my first meal and getting decent calories in at both lunchtime and dinner. And it stops that horrible acidy feeling at bedtime because I stop eating 3 hours before bed.

Logging everything I'm eating on MFP to try and make sure I'm getting a decent nutrient mix - which is also stopping me taking calories in via rubbish snacks, since I know I won't have room for good stuff instead. I've realised how huge my portion sizes used to be, totally as a result of far too many crap carbs on my plate (rice, pasta in the main) - and how many calories I burnt through exercise but then promptly ate back in cake and chocolate! Eating habits are changing - that's why MJ is a game changer, it's not just about appetite suppression at all for me. It's making me think so consciously about every single morsel of food that goes in my mouth. I'm still cooking delicious food, and still enjoying eating it, just eating far less of it, eating a lot more protein and vegetables, and not wasting precious calories on biscuits!

SW 10st 4.6lb/144.6lb BMI 25.7 (prescribed MJ because of diabetes risk and hideous waist measurement)

CW 9st 5.6lb/131.6lb BMI 23.4 - 13lb down, 48.9% of target achieved. (Still overweight because of ethnicity)

GW 8st 6lb/118lb (26.6lb total target loss, 13.6lb to go) BMI 20.9 (low BMI advised as target by doctor)

Loss by week:
W1 5.5lb
W2 1.3lb
W3 0.7lb
W4 3.3lb
W5 0.5lb gain
W6 2.7lb so far

I can't believe I've lost so much and am still overweight though!!

NSV - 2 inches off my waist. Yay.

Flamethrowers · 16/04/2025 10:05

Tried on my dresses from 2023 today and they fit again. It's such a relief. If I could get into the 2020 clothes as well that would be amazing! I'd recoup all the money spent on the drugs by not having to buy new clothes! I've basically been wearing pajamas for two years as I felt so uncomfortable in my body.

im down 14 pounds in 6.5 weeks
im going to get my thyroid medication reviewed as its weight sensitive.

TheBossOfMe · 16/04/2025 10:37

@Flamethrowers that’s a brilliant NSV, well done! And good call on getting thyroid meds reviewed. That’ll be an amazing health victory.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 16/04/2025 10:42

Justformounjaro · 16/04/2025 09:29

I also take meds for high BP, mine was off the scale a few years ago. I didn't get on with ramipril (made me cough all night) so was switched to Losartan, then added Amlodopine as it was still very high. Had a BP check a few months ago and it was ok on these 2 meds. Had it done Friday and ws lower end of normal so will need to keep am eye on it.

@Flamethrowers I had a blood test Friday, to check thyroid as had my dose increased 3 months ago, at my highest weight. I'm now 1.5 st down so will be interesting to see if that's had any effect.
