SW 16st 10
CW 15st 4

end of my 7th week. I stayed on 2.5mg and had had a couple of weeks of low on no loss then 2 lb this week. Still getting high suppression low food noise and feel full fast so again stuck with what to do. I don’t want to go up a dose and get more nausea. Thinking of ordering some needles for a bonus dose. But not sure if I should order 5 mg and count clicks or stick with 2.5mg as so far only mild nausea and mild headache the day after the jab and feel full etc on the low dose. Anyone stayed on 2.5 mg for a long term period?

If you're on Instagram, there's a young lady who has stayed on 2.5 and lost loads, I can't find her at the but she pops up on my feed regularly, I'll post her details when I see her next

PurpleCoo · 10/04/2025 07:52

Week 7 Day 7 weigh in (a day early as I am away for a few days)

SW 96.65
CW 86.5
6 day loss 0.4kg
Total loss 10.15kg

A poor week for weight loss, although I did everything right and didn't go over my calories. TOTM is due within the next few days, so water retention is likely playing a part

I am still going to stick with the same dose, even though I have not even lost half of my weekly weight loss target. In terms of how I feel, and my appetite the current dose feels spot on. It's natural to have some fluctuations, but if weight loss continues at the significantly reduced rate I experienced this week I will need to rethink things. I do however think things will be back to the usual 1kg a week next week.

Any thoughts on moving down to 3.75mg from 5mg? The suppression is so absolute on 5mg that I can’t even force myself to eat now. I don’t feel particularly sick, but I don’t feel healthy either. This has only happened on second 5mg pen. Any advice appreciated

I felt exactly the same on second dose of 5mg. I went down to 3mg this week and feel much better. I wanted to definitely feel better so I didn’t want to risk 3.75mg even though it probably would have been fine.

Weighed in day, another .9kg/2lb gone and I'm now overweight instead of obese!

SW 82.6kg
CW 74.4kg

Still not setting a target weight, this is my last pen so I'm hoping to get close to 70kg and then carry on with just willpower 😳

Are you going to titrate down on doses or go cold turkey? I read in studies they say those that did best titrated down on the medication before coming off so wondering how you will be doing it

I'm going to have to come off cold turkey i think, it's a cost thing unfortunately. If I can find a way to make it work and come down to 5mg then I will. I'll happily update on how it goes!

No probs its all a personal choice and the costs are high. I think just eating less being more aware and making lifestyle choices whilst on MJ should hopefully help us down the line.

Good luck anyway and well done on getting to target :)

I think after listening to a number of scientists and experts in this area that in a few years it is likely they will have these drugs in pill form and a low dose daily pill for maintenance could be very useful. For now we work with what we have lol

Has anyone experienced a rash at their injection site? It has happened for my last two doses now. I always change the site but always on my stomach. Wondering if I should change to arm/thigh.
It goes within the week before the next one is due, but just seems odd after 9 weeks!

I have been getting an injection site reaction since I moved up to 5mg.

It comes up as a red circle around the injection that turns into a bruise. I am a stomach injector so I decided to inject my thigh this time.... much worse. The circle is bigger, the skin looks inflamed and by day 3 it was purple with bruising.

I get horrible reactions to all kinds of bites, etc and I'm allergic to nickel which is present in the stainless steel needles so I think it's just that my body doesn't like anything alien piercing my skin..
I don't have any other side effects and the injection seems to be working for me so it's more of a minor inconvenience but the pharmacist has aid to keep an eye on it.

I posted about reactions recently and people have mentioned longer needles and antihistamines have helped.... I'm due to inject again on Sunday so will start the antihistamines on Saturday and use an antihistamine cream when I inject to see if it helps at all

Lola50 · 10/04/2025 12:50

@RememberDecember thanks for the info. I’m definitely going to do this for next jab on Saturday.

I'm roundabout where you are. SW 16.2st and CW 15.0 and I'm about to have my 7th weigh-in and 8th jab of 2.5mg. I got a 5mg because right as I needed to decide and order my 2nd pen, my suppression vanished. After ordering the 5mg pen the suppression came back! 😑 So I take 30 clicks of the 5mg pen to still be on 2.5mg. So far so good but my loss has stalled this past week. I was losing pretty well (4lbs, 3lbs, 2lbs, 2lbs etc..) then 0.6lbs last week and so far this week with 48 hours to official weigh in, I've stayed the same.

However, my suppression remains good, enjoying health meals mostly clean, good energy, zero bad side effects so I'm going to ride it out on the 2.5mg for my next couple of weeks at least but I'm ordering another 5mg pen so I can go up to 3.75mg if this stall continues.

I am exactly the same with insect bites and nickel. Going to get some cream today and see if that helps before and after my next jab. So strange for it to start irritating me now 🙄

mumalummum · 10/04/2025 17:00

Week 10 for me -
SW 19 st 5
CW 17 st 8
this week u broke through my 3 week plateau at 17st 12 and have lost 4lb this week. It’s my 2nd jab at 5mg - I stayed at 2.5 mg for a 2nd month which probably explains the plateau. Have gone from a size 24 to a size 18/ 20 so very happy to be back in my old clothes - still a long way to go of course

Me too! Some spectacular bruises over the last three weeks, will be my 11th jab tomorrow, see how that goes.

Annoyingly itchy 😬

OntheTrainX · 10/04/2025 20:14

A daily maintenance pill would be great.

Weigh in #7

SW1:18st (Oct 22. Started low FODMAP diet & calorie counting)
SW2: 16st7 (when started Mounjaro Feb 25)
CW : 15st3

Really thrilled with the weight loss and other benefits such as reduction in anxiety. Losing about 2.7lbs per week which I feel isn’t too fast. Had my first 7.5 dose today so will see how the side effects compare to the 5mg.

aylis · 10/04/2025 20:38

My sister was round earlier and is the first person to comment that I've visibly lost weight 😊

It might sneak back up by the Saturday weigh-in but the scale currently says 14st 13lb. In the 14s!!!

Nicecuppatea2025 · 10/04/2025 22:42

Congrats @aylis @ashtyler @mumalummum and everyone else.

I had an NSV today!

We went on a day out to a country house with a little picnic. Was able to sit down on the grass comfortably, and then get up again no problem at all. My mobility is so much better!

Also easier to scratch my back - my reach is so much longer. Argh my back is so bloody itchy though!!! Started during menopause, and seems worse since being on WLI.

Absolutely chuffed to bits this morning! 😁 I finally passed the 2st mark!
I was hovering between 1.5-2st loss for a while and it felt like I had hit a bit of a plateau but I’ve broken it!
Last year I “dieted” and exercised for months ahead of a holiday (and was miserable and hungry the whole time) and despite being lighter when I started, I couldn’t get under 17st… today I’m 16st 8lb!

I’m out for lunch today and I can’t wait to feel the joy of having whatever I want and stopping when I’m full… like a normal person!!

Broccolitree · 11/04/2025 08:07

End of W7 weigh in for me.
SW 96kg
CW 86.8kg
CBMI 31.1
GBMI 22.5

a smaller loss this week, 0.7kg (I think that’s just over a pound). I stuck with 2.5mg again last week and I’d really hoped to get to the round 10kg loss this week, so I’ve fallen short. I know it’s all healthy steady, less loose skin losses, but I’m so desperate to at least be below 30 BMI and to start fitting into my size 14 clothes. I know that I should be doing more exercise and I’m not, I am walking more but that’s it. I’m also not drinking enough water and this is all stuff I need to change for the long term. By blood pressure appears to be coming down a bit (for a NSV), but no where near needing to come off medication. I am nervous to go up a dose as I’ve not really had any side effects on this (apart from learning eating the odd slice of greasy frozen pizza might fit in my calorie count, but doesn’t agree with my digestive system now!).

I hope everyone has had good weeks - reading how everyone else is doing is so encouraging.

Ke11 · 11/04/2025 08:41

Hi all
Start of week 11 for me

Sw 116.5kg
Cw 102.5kg
Total loss so far 14kg or 2.2st

Ive been upping my exercise this week, more swimming and circuits. Went out for a family dinner last night for my mums birthday and just had what I wanted, no restrictions and it still ended up being much less than I used to have so feeling good about that.

Physically I'm feeling great, much easier to move around with a chunk of weight gone. I redid my "fat photos" and it appears most of the weight has come off my butt 😂

I'm really noticing the food noise returning about 1-2 days before I take the next dose so I'll be considering either going up to 7.5 next or switching to every 6 days since I'm having almost no side effects and 5mg works well for me for 6 days. My current thinking is I'll order 7.5, give it a go and if I don't like it I can always count clicks and go back to 5, I still have about 2 weeks to think about it. Opinions welcome 🙂

I'm currently wearing shorts I have never fit into and my tight smaller sized jeans are now fitting very comfortably, I'm so happy with the results so far,ive gone down about 3 sizes.

pinkcow123 · 11/04/2025 10:01

Weigh day!

Week 10 for me!

I miscalculated how many pounds were in a stone last week! (Thank you to those who noticed my mistake but were gracious enough not to say anything and burst my bubble 😂). But today I've lost 2 stone! Wooo!

Week loss: 4lbs!
Total loss: 28lbs.
Success: I have lost 10% of my body weight!! Which I am chuffed about! I have a lot to go 🙈.

TheYouYouAre · 11/04/2025 11:38

Hi all!

I’m on week 9 of 2.5mg and have lost 8kg in total. Steady loss of around 1kg per week, with a few weeks where I maintained. Zero side effects, but am going to try 3mg or 3.33mg when my current pen runs out.

Tip: If you are tracking measurements, save them for a week where you maintain or didn’t lose as much as you hoped. Gave me quite the boost last week when I maintained, to realised I have lost 3 inches from both my hips and waist.

OvertiredandConfused · 11/04/2025 11:45

Weigh day for me too. End of week 10 (second week on 7.5mg).

4lbs loss this week, the biggest since my very first week!

Total loss of 33.5lbs, 28.5lbs on mounjaro.

Did have my first episode of diarrhoea in the middle of this week and so ate very little for two days, but I think that is balanced out by a couple of meals out at the start of the week.

Starting to notice in my clothes a bit now - and I've bought a couple of t-shirts one size smaller :-)

Hangryfastjo · 11/04/2025 12:19

I've completed 8weeks on MJ

SW 14st .5lb
CW 12st 8lb
TL 20.5lb amd today 10% of my starting weight which feels amazing.
I had 8 days where I stayed the same but finally began moving earlier in the week.
I have a 5th shot in a 5mg pen and then I'm starting another 5mg.
Well done everyone on your motivation, losses and NSV
