It’s a very significant day for me today. I’m now the weight I was all those years ago when I saw a photo of myself and went on Atkins the following day! I can’t believe it’s taken so much effort to get to the weight I was when I decided enough was enough. Sobering.

I dug the photo out and it’s crystal clear that this time round I’m carrying much less body fat. I don’t have my records any more but I seem to remember that my body fat percentage was about 36 then and it’s 31.7 now. It has to be down to muscle mass doesn’t it?

Comparison is the thief of joy. Comparing yourself to old you never helps. I remember the first time I joined Weight Watchers I was absolutely horrified that I was 11st 3lbs. If I was that today, I’d dance for joy.

MananaMananaPenelope · 25/03/2025 18:19

@Polkadotdash isn't it Zara that got a lot of bad press a couple of years ago for their ridiculous sizing?

After my 0.6ml bonus dose @ 2.5mg last night I have been struggling with my appetite today. I'm at about 800 calories and I think that will have to do as I feel ridiculously full.

Cabinfever20 · 25/03/2025 18:23

@therealmetherealme Which companies do MedExpress match with please?

MananaMananaPenelope · 25/03/2025 18:26

I've just realised that I've got my weight verification video call with Ouskh this week, I booked it 5 weeks ago when they lauched them, I can't believe it is here already. I can't quite remember what the rules are at Ouskh about this process/how often they need to happen. Am sure I'll find out.

Zempy · 25/03/2025 18:31

I think you have to get totally nekkid @MananaMananaPenelope and dance around your bedroom rattling a tambourine.

Or possibly not 😂

Jins · 25/03/2025 18:33

Mine isn’t for a while so I’ll be very interested to hear how you get on.

I believe the first appointments for maintenance calls are now in June so I probably need to get a shuffle on and get one booked. I may not be ready by then but I should be well on the way

discov · 25/03/2025 18:35

I had my Oushk verification call last week and it was so easy. The lady who does them is very lovely. All you have to do is step on the scales and show her the number then show her a close up of your photo ID. It only takes a few minutes and I believe you only have to do it once.

discov · 25/03/2025 18:35

@Jinsoh wow I should probably book one too then!! I only have 1st 2lbs until my goal.

@Zempy I am on the Ouskh facebook group (for the discount codes), when the maintenance calls started there was a hilarious post from Hira to say something like 'please be fully clothed for your maintenance calls 😎'.

Made me laugh.

Off to buy a tambourine 😂, I'm sure Amazon will get one here in time.

@therealmetherealme Which companies do MedExpress match with please?

Superdrug Online Doctor, Zava, Juniper, Simple Online Pharmacy, Oxford Online Pharmacy, Boots Online Doctor, Asda Online Doctor, Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor, Pharmacy2U, Voy, Chemist4U, HealthExpress, Numan.

You order from MedExpress as usual, then request price match. Today I price matched Oxford Online, received about £15 credit. Every bit helps.

RosaBaby2 · 25/03/2025 18:57

Has anyone else had amazing luck with the Medexpress referral code? I'm not sharing it here of course but I've had over £600 worth since I started 12 weeks ago - which is amazing as I was planning on paying with credit cards!

MananaMananaPenelope · 25/03/2025 19:00

I CBA with all that @RosaBaby2 .

I started with Ouskh on pen one and was really impressed with their support when I was feeling really unwell after my second jab.

As it happens they've developed a proper maintenance programme so I'll have no need to look elsewhere for that either.

I have no choice, but I haven't shared for a while and it's still coming in £40 most days for past week or so 😅

MananaMananaPenelope · 25/03/2025 19:09

That's great @RosaBaby2 .

Jins · 25/03/2025 19:36

Lucky you @RosaBaby2. I got nothing with my code and for various reasons I wanted to move from them so I’m with Oushk now

unicornsaremagical · 25/03/2025 19:37

@RosaBaby2if you don’t mind me asking, which threads? I’ve added my code to loads but never got any credit dissapointingly

Polkadotdash · 25/03/2025 19:44

It’s interesting that Ouskh give follow up calls. I started with Lloyds Pharmacy and they were awful. The only answer to any of my questions was ‘talk to your GP’ and then they would send me a feedback form looking for praise. I use IQDoctor now. There’s no offer of any support with it. It’s just a dispensary. What sort of service do you get if there is a ‘plan’ with your WLI?

MananaMananaPenelope · 25/03/2025 20:00

@Polkadotdash , when I was ill in week 2 I phoned Ouskh and spoke to a guy who was quite helpful, he arranged for the pharmacist to call me. The pharmacist agreed that I should skip week 3 and feel better first, asking me to check in a week later before taking my delayed jab and said they would be very happy to support/check in weekly.

I then went to my GP who did bloods etc..

A week later I felt ok and so I just carried on, I didn't bother seeking support.

I thought the customer service was fantastic, I had no idea that Ouskh would provide support like that, weekly support if required through potential side effects. I've read many more stories about the same sort of thing (now I've looked).

No 'plan', just definitely more than a dispensary, it felt personal, like they really wanted to help me take this medication/cared.

That's why I am not interested in looking elsewhere to save a few quid.

BlueLimes · 25/03/2025 20:01

I posted my referral code twice bit no one ever used it. I’m using Voy but think I’ll need to switch for maintenance.

I had my 2nd 7.5mg on Saturday evening, I feel the most nausea tonight so far. So odd, had the same types of foods.

Ireolu · 25/03/2025 21:05

11kg lost since 17/01.
I bought a really nice dress in the summer last yr. Size 16. It was a very snug fit then but it's now a much nicer fit. I have come down into a lower BMI category which is fantastic. Still have 15kg I want rid of though.

I will get the 7.5mg pen when I reorder this week. But may ultimately stick to 5mg or go up just a smidge to 6.25mg. Onwards and downwards (on the scales)! for us all.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 25/03/2025 21:17

With the Oushk verification calls I just switched to Oushk and I had to tick that I'd be ok with doing one but they haven't asked me to schedule one. Have a missed something or is it not for everyone? Maybe I looked so huge in my photo they didn't feel the need to bother!

MananaMananaPenelope · 25/03/2025 21:23

I think you just schedule one on the dashboard when you are logged in @UnderandOverwhelmed , no doubt they will be in touch if you don't. If you log in there is a menu on the left hand side, consulations are the third item down on mine, I booked it there.

TBF I only booked it because I had seen it on the official facebook group. Wasn't aware of it otherwise.

Cabinfever20 · 25/03/2025 21:40

@therealmetherealme Thanks very much for that - I’ll give it a try when i next order.

DGonMJ · 25/03/2025 21:52

Had a tough morning today, with DS’ EHCP review, and for the first time in a long time felt like I needed something to comfort me. The following came to mind as I walked through the station to work: a cigarette, a glass of wine, a donut.
Knew I wouldn’t actually buy any of those things, but the longing for something to dull the pain was strong. I texted a friend instead, which helped.

I miss the comfort of food and wine. The fuzzy feeling of something delicious distracting you from the real worries. I guess a cup of tea and a small square of chocolate could have fulfilled that, harmlessly, but just didn’t have the appetite for it.

MJalltheway · 25/03/2025 21:52

I definitely need to switch after my next pen, Voy is very expensive. I do really like their support though, I've had a few video calls with my coach and I log my meals (take a photo) every day.
HOWEVER. Today I had chips and curry sauce for tea from the chippy! 🤦🏻‍♀️
Couldn't eat it all but I did enjoy it. To be fair, it's the first time I've gone even remotely off-plan since January so I'm chalking it up as an occasional treat and moving on. I did do aquarobics earlier which apparently burnt 350 calories so that's probably half a portion!!!
