@Therealmetherealme could it be a vitamin deficiency? I remember one year I started feeling like death warmed up, turned out all B12, D and iron levels were abysmal. If we are eating less, it's certainly harder to get all the vitamins and minerals out of the food.

thanks for replying. I have considered that and do take a multi vitamin, but maybe I need to target specific vitamins. Iron tablets used to cause constipation, do they still? I don’t need anymore of that!

unicornsaremagical · 24/03/2025 08:08

well done to everyone with their losses, sorry to those who haven’t been feeling great. @Therealmetherealme i was feeling the same a few weeks ago on similar calories to you, i started taking a multivitamin which helped after a week or two i’ve also added actimel to my mornings which has weirdly given me a bit more energy.
So pleased this morning i finally moved into the 11stone bracket, only just but still feeling very achieved.

Jins · 24/03/2025 08:19

@TicTac80 what a fab project! We used to go to a few VW rallies/festivals but we don’t have one ourselves. Friends have 1970s T2s, one immaculate, one not so much….

We used to tent until I finally managed persuade everyone that enough was enough and we bought a tourer about 12 years ago. It’s made festivals a lot more fun - clean private toilet and hot showers 😆

I had a minor indiscretion with a bar of dark chocolate last night when one strip turned into 3. I thoroughly enjoyed it though.

DareDevil223 · 24/03/2025 08:20

Being nearly at the end of such a huge journey I've been losing really slowly but moving up to 7.5mg seems to have got things going. I lost 1.6lbs this week which is huge for me.

I'm getting great suppression and no side effects so may stick here.

I'm now 0.4lbs off my 9 stone loss (120lbs or 57kg). I'm 5ft 7in so my goal weight is 10st 7lbs. I haven’t been this slim since my early 20s!

I hope you all have a great week.

LillethCrane · 24/03/2025 08:25

I’m so tired! The 7.5mg has left me exhausted, I think because suppression was insanely high last week. The day after jab day I ate fewer than 500cals and obviously, felt lethargic, lightheaded and weak. I’ve managed to eat more over the weekend and I’ve introduced more carbs, whereas I’ve been avoiding them on the whole. My sleep hasn’t been great though all week and weekend so I’m still tired this morning.

Add in the fact that I appear to have pulled something in my lower back, I’d happily crawl back into bed for the day…

Happy Monday though all!

KrankySchwester · 24/03/2025 08:40

Week 12
SW 14.1.8
CW 11.9.0
goal 1 11.7.8 (1.2lb to go!!)
am down almost 2 1/2 stone since 6th January which is absolutely wonderful. But apart from DH & DD no one has noticed. I’m seeing my mum this week so I’m curious if she’ll say anything but tbh I doubt it.
The horrible fatigue continues. I’m taking B12, VitD & iron, fingers crossed it lifts soon

DGonMJ · 24/03/2025 08:48

Huge congrats @DareDevil223 what an incredible achievement! What are your plans for maintenance?
It’s quite hard to find examples of people on maintenance doses. The ‘reached your goal’ thread seems to have a lot of people who have come off MJ.

I had a super hungry evening yesterday - after my second 5mg jab that morning. Ate dinner and was still hungry, so ate a bowl of 0% Greek yoghurt and high protein granola and frozen berries. Still hungry, so ate all the leftover veg from dinner then a mini Babybel!

myladyjane · 24/03/2025 08:55

Well done losers. @LillethCranesounds tough.

@GrumpyMuleFani was thinking of you today so well done! You mentioned routine yesterday - one thing which I have NOT done is set a routine for my little bits of exercise. I used to tell myself I’d get up early and do stuff. I don’t always sleep super well so prioritise sleep/gentle waking and that would mean I’d run out of time. Or I’d promise I’d do something at lunch then an urgent meeting would go in and I’d miss it. So this time I’ve focused on a fitting it in approach and actively trying not to schedule. Only time will tell if I can stick to this but it’s going well so far.

wk 10 weigh in for me and I sts. Technically I think I gained an ounce. No huge surprise as I’ve had two good weeks plus my weird under eating/over eating/not drinking enough weekend. So ok with that. I also have a bit of pmt which does make me hold on a bit to any losses.

speaking of pmt, after my period going missing for 4 weeks at the start I seem to be back on track. I do wish at 50 it would fuck off but I prefer predictable to not got a scoobie!

DareDevil223 · 24/03/2025 09:12

@DGonMJ I moved to MJ and Cloud Pharmacy specifically because I could stay on a maintenance dose if I chose that option. I'm not planning to come off any time soon but I will need to go down to a lower dose because I do need to start eating a bit more at some point. I thought that 5mg would be a good bet but I'll talk it through with Cloud when it's time.

I'm not ready to come right off and try and maintain as WLI have been life changing for me and I can't risk putting weight back on, that would be soul-destroying.

I think that we are really only at the beginning with WLI and new options both for loss and maintenance will be coming through in the future. I'd like people not to have to suffer any more with the stigmas of obesity and the physical and mental stress of food noise and yo-yo dieting. It's been a big and frankly destructive part of my life since I was a teenager and I'm in my 50s now.

mince3point14159265 · 24/03/2025 10:00

Some wonderful losses being reported and major congrats to @DareDevil223 👏, that's an amazing achievement!

A little NSV for me this morning; had a mammogram appointment, and where my balloons boobs have deflated somewhat, it made the whole experience so much less painful! Phew! 🍈🍈 →🍋🍋 😂

discov · 24/03/2025 10:10

I did my 4th dose of 5mg on Thursday night and have had such high suppression yesterday/this morning. Weird as I didn’t hugely feel it in weeks 2 and 3. I am doing my extra dose this week then had got a 7.5mg pen for my next one, but don’t know if I should count clicks and carry on doing 5mg now! I guess at least I have the option to move up if I feel like I need to.

I have been hugely slacking in the protein and water department for the past week or so, so really need to get back into good habits again!!

HeavyHeidi · 24/03/2025 10:38

It takes time to also change the mindset I got from childhood that you must clear your plate and you cannot waste food. Or that if the food is tasty, you should eat another portion just for the taste, even if you're actually full. I also think that staying on a low dose will really help me with that.

That is something I really struggle with too. My dd stops when she is full, and I explained to her the other day that I always had to finish my whole plate as a child before I could leave the table and she couldn’t believe it!

@Therealmetherealme They have recently changed the iron supplement dosing - instead of 3 tablets a day, it's now advised to only take 1 (preferrably on an empty stomach). Or even only every other day (which is what I am doing). I've not had any issues with constipation on this regime, more the contrary. But I would recommend to get a blood test done to see if your fatigue has any specific underlying issues. Have you tried electrolytes? I find that they really help with I feel weak/fatigued - as others have said, it's quite tricky for your body to extract all it needs if you reduce your food intake as much as we have been doing.

HeavyHeidi · 24/03/2025 11:00

@discov probably one of the reasons our 'fullness' signals don't function properly, if we have always been taught to override them.

It has always been an issue for me to leave food, too - even though I was not brought up on the 'you have to clear your plate' dogma (my parents were quite ahead of their time on that front!). But I have always been able to keep eating, even if I'm full, which is one of my biggest issues. Which is now one of the things I marvel at with mj - the ability to recognise that I've had enough, that I'm most definitely not hungry anymore and to stop eating, even if it's my favourite food.

Another one is that whenever we had chocolate, biscuits, sweets etc. in the house, I would have to eat it - literally getting up from my desk in the middle of work and grab something. That's completely gone now!

RockyisMYRhino · 24/03/2025 12:46

My midweek weigh in tells me I’ve put on just over 1lb since jabbing last Thursday (most probably thanks to having a few drinks at the weekend!) so I’m resetting my brain and habits from now in the hope I can lose that again. I’ve made a plan and pencilled in three standard and one extra gym sessions this week to try and help too.

W11 D1
SW 13-10
CW 11-11
GW 10-0?

Definitely sticking on a set point over here, I've been at 11-11 for two and a half weeks, got down to 11-10 for about half an hour on Saturday, was desperate for the numbers to move and hit the two stone lost!

I have a bigger than (my) average loss in week 8, so I'm telling myself that I just did the losing a bit early and overall I'm exactly where I should be, but it's still frustrating to see the same number again and again!

I will do my measurements again tonight, as they haven't moved either in recent weeks. 2 inches off each measurement up until then though.

I'm working towards a size 12 dress for the end of July, which is another couple of inches off my waist... I think it's achievable but I need to stop trying the dress on every three days 😂

Zempy · 24/03/2025 18:15

Got my blood results from endocrinologist. Absolutely amazing.

My cholesterol levels have plummeted and everything is looking perfect.

Thyroid, liver, even got blood sugar down to 5.1. My cholesterol was nearly 9 and is now 3.25.

😇😇😇

HeavyHeidi · 24/03/2025 18:24

great result @Zempy ! This drug really is so much more than a 'lazy way to lose weight'.

I’ve just been sent a medexpress code for existing customers for 20% reorders which expire this week. I’ve put it on the referrals thread. This might help existing users - I don’t get any referral from this so I hope it’s ok to put on this page

Hiya am trying to find the 20% code but there's loads of different referral threads? Which one is it please ? 😂

MJalltheway · 24/03/2025 19:25

That's brilliant @Zempy ! Hoping for a similar drop in cholesterol when I do mine, I was on around 6.5 to start with.

weirdly really struggling with the urge to just stuff my face today. Don't know why! I've removed myself from the kitchen and eaten an orange instead. DH has been really ill so I have camped out in our spare room and forgot to grab the scales from our en-suite so no mid-week weighing for me.

MananaMananaPenelope · 24/03/2025 19:41

Good news @Zempy.

I've just had my first bonus dose so that must be injection no 9. I thought it was ok, my needles are too long so I didn't put it all the way in. 0.6ml precisely.

I'm having a gin! I've had the most awful five days, nothing to do with MJ or food or anything else within my control. First drink for about six months, not feeling inclined to finish it tbh.

MananaMananaPenelope · 24/03/2025 19:44

@MJalltheway I was on the road at 6am today, grabbed a prawn sandwich for lunch from a petrol station 😶. I think about buying a bag of crisps but managed not to.

MJalltheway · 24/03/2025 19:52

Well done @MananaMananaPenelope !
As long as we resist the temptation, it's probably good we feel it every now and again - build that willpower for when the crutch of MJ is removed/reduced.
