Wow fab news @SeaStoat !!

@Kay2000 Oh the more you post the more I think we're the same person 😂. I'm sat here in seasalt dress (26 28) and leggings which is pretty much my work uniform Mon-Fri. I am longing to be able to go into the shop and try things on.

I love all the seasalt love and didn't know they had an outlet!

I did some measurements and even at undee 19 and a half stone I'm still measuring a true 26 for seasalt. I think it might be a while...

My dresses are all stretchy too so I'm guessing it will be a good while now before they are too big. At least they're not too tight now which is how I think I must have been wearing them 😬.

How tall are you? I’m 5ft 4. I think it also depends where we hold our fat. I have very chunky thighs and big boobs, so the boobs have some way to go before they’re less than a size 26 and thighs are “hidden” weight, as they don’t affect my clothes size and I hide them well. So I’m sure I’m losing inches but not in places where I’m dropping sizes yet. Also my clothes are all a style that I can wear tighter or loose. I also bought a couple of sleeveless dresses last summer from the Seasalt outlet. I really hate hot weather so kind of exist at home wearing as little as possible through summer, so I’m not intending to buy any new clothes until Autumn (by which time hubby says I’ll need string to hold my trousers up like the tramp like old guy in our village 🤣). I learned a new word a couple of years ago which describes me in summer. I aestivate (wait in my burrow for the hot weather to pass, the same as hibernation but opposite).

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 22/04/2025 20:24

I'm 5ft 6 and i think most of my weight is around my middle. It's always been where weight goes when I was a normal size. I do also have weight everywhere else but I'm very round and need to get that down!

I was thinking autumn might be a good time for something new.

I had hoped summer but realistically I think it will be a waste. I also hibernate in sun!! The few days of feeling cold each jab for me has been so welcome!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 22/04/2025 22:24

@Kay2000 and @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden I’m 5ft 3, all boobs and tum, I was in 26/28 Seasalt with a 55/56 inch bust (48 inch waist) and over 19 st, (I didn’t measure anything when I was 21 stone) I dropped a size at around 17 stone, then another size at about 15 1/2 stone. Even now my boobs struggle to shrink! I still have a 47 inch bust, but band size is now 38 and my waist is 40.5, but I have a round stomach 😭.
Actually, I’ve just read that back and my boobs have shrunk by almost 10 inches 🤣 but mentally they are a hindrance!

We’re boob twins 😆. I was 55” now about 52” but they’ve always been the last thing to shrink on previous diets decades ago, but I know I’ll drop sizes eventually. I’m aiming for size 16/18 and I think that’ll be around 11.5 stone so only another 8 and a half to go… which at the rate I’m losing will be about another 18 months. Trying not to worry too much, time passes anyway and hopefully I can stay on MJ and as I get slimmer I should theoretically get more active which should help lose it a bit quicker.

TragicMuse · 23/04/2025 07:53

Just assessed the damage of my little holiday and it’s not so bad! I’m 1.5lbs down since last week so I think I kept the worst excesses at bay! I’m rather pleased by that. And I’m now 1.5lbs away from 2 stone lost.

Onwards and downwards!

A scale victory for me today, I’m in the 14 stone bracket by a gnats whisker! I weighed in at 14st 13.8 lbs this morning! I could have cried, I was 20 when I last saw 14 on the scales and that was 37 (almost 38) years ago! 💪

I've sneaked into 14 st bracket too this week! It feels very strange!

justteanbiscuits · 23/04/2025 09:18

Damnit. Went to celebrate a loss this week by buying a pair of jeans I have been stalking on vinted all week - I get paid weekly and needed to wait to be paid this morning. They bloody sold over night 😭

I hate when that happens, this is payday for lots of people. I sold 18 items overnight. I am a last day of the month person for pay. I list all my stuff on eBay too, which has klarna so that helps to spread the load. I hope you find them again.

Springsunflower · 23/04/2025 12:07

Feels like y weight loss has really slowed down again
I thought going up to 12 it would speed up

Am I correct in assuming
We only loose weight on mj , because of the less calories we are eating

I'm still needing a lot of willpower,I wasn't for a bit ,now I feel like I could eat everything in sight again
I'm aware comparison is the theif of joy and all that .
Most people will of lost 5 and a half stone and be near the finish line or on here ,half way there .. ,I'm still miles away

Springsunflower · 23/04/2025 12:08

I think I'm going to have to go up to 15 on the next jab
There's nowhere to go after that

GnomeDePlume · 23/04/2025 12:55

@Springsunflower essentially, yes, you lose weight because you are eating fewer calories. Mounjaro makes it easier to do that but you still have to eat less.

That's what I thought
Ugh

How many calories are you eating at the moment? Could it just be a hormonal blip or a plateau.

WafflingDreamer · 24/04/2025 06:34

Weigh in number 29
SW 21st 9lb (BMI 44.8)
CW 17st 4lb (BMI 35.7)
GW 11st 9lb (BMI 24.1)
2lb down this week
Losses so far; 4, 1, 5, 1, 3, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 1, +3, 5, 1, 3, 2, 4, 3, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 3, 3, 1, 1, 0, 2
Total loss 61lbs / 4st 5lb

Out of my annoying slump/plateau now hopefully. Really looking forward to slipping into the 16's soon and getting my BMI under 35.

GnomeDePlume · 24/04/2025 07:23

Weigh in and jab day.

SW 137KG BMI 53.5
CW 116 KG BMI 45.3
GW 60KG BMI 23.4

1kg down on the week, happy with that. Total loss so far 21kg, 3 stone 4 lbs.

I am realising that so far I havent changed shape, just got smaller. So I am still barrel shaped but a smaller barrel. No waist, hips or bust to speak of. Perhaps they will stage an appearance at some point, who knows.

Is anyone else thinking about the clothes they will wear when they reach goal? I tend to sew my own clothes, started when I could no longer find clothes I liked in large sizes. Now I am starting to wonder what I will be making in a year or so's time. I have always been looking at plus size patterns.

I have no idea what would suit me. I went through a phase of wearing below knee length summer dresses but most of the time I hide in big baggy clothes. I've also lost weight all over so the same shape but smaller but seemingly more from my boobs and face which is disappointing as I could have done with losing 4st from my arse and thighs!

GnomeDePlume · 24/04/2025 09:16

@WafflingDreamer I don't think I have ever known how to dress myself.

My approach to clothes has been to find something which kind of fits and avoid looking in the mirror.

Unfortunately, from previous Lighter Life experience, if I lose weight I end up with square shoulders and narrow hips down. Basically I look like a bloke!

Doggymummar · 24/04/2025 09:59

I've been buying a few bits on Whatnot, generally just for a quid to get an idea what suit me now. Problem is my thighs are stubbornly refusing to shrink so unless it's something widelegged in trousers, things still look a bit daft. I've found a jump suit with a culotte bottom looks great as my waist is small now and some yoga pants type cotton trousers from Made in Italy with a shirred waist. I have to send a new photo to Oushk today. Apparently it's every three months now, anyone else has this? I haven't sent a photo since I started in 2023.

eibbed999 · 24/04/2025 10:49

@GnomeDePlume - I have so many clothes stashed on top of the wardrobe, from a size 12 through to a size 28, I really need to go through them and get rid of any I hate - I've been yo-yo-ing for years and have amassed so many things. Wish I could sew too!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 24/04/2025 11:38

Just wanted to say @GnomeDePlume that you're doing so well!

You'll find that your shape becomes more defined as you continue to lose weight.

I was absolutely a barrel, with everything round my middle. I can now wear size 14 jumper dresses and look slim! I can't believe it, really. My BMI was over 50 when I started and my clothes were size 24/6.

GnomeDePlume · 24/04/2025 12:44

Thank you @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne that is impressive going from 24/26 to 14.

I am hoping some definition will come in at some point. Probably in a few stones time.

Lds1 · 24/04/2025 12:50

I still struggle to see where weight has gone from, I do comparison pics now and again but it's hard to tell. I definitely don't think my legs have gone very far.

Well done everyone on your successes so far.

I'm still a bit annoyed with losses this month, I'm doing what I have done for the last 9 months and have not lost a lot in April compared to other months. I was also hoping for the 14s today.

Weigh in today
SW: 142.8kg (22 stone, 6 lb and 13.12 oz)
CW: 96.1kg (15 stone, 1 lb and 13.83 oz)
Loss this week: 0.9kg (1 lb and 15.75 oz)
Loss overall: 46.7kg (7 stone, 4 lb and 15.29 oz)
BMI start: 50.8
BMI current: 34.2

CheeryCamper · 24/04/2025 13:36

Well done @GnomeDePlume and @WafflingDreamer, great weigh ins!! I’m impatiently waiting until I can drop a size or two, although even now my everyday clothes are definitely looser (and my trousers are now maddeningly all an inch too long lol!!)
How exciting to be at a place where you can start to try different styles (rather than just opting for what fits!) xx

GnomeDePlume · 24/04/2025 13:50

Wow @Lds1 that is impressive weightloss. How do you feel about it?

My DD has lost a similar amount but isn't yet comfortable with it.

People are rightly more careful about commenting on other people's bodies these days, but I bet if you asked a friend they'd tell you that (and how) it shows. It would be impossible not to with that impressive level of loss.
I'm down from 19st 9 to 16st 1 and it's a marked change to me, and to the one friend who knows about the mounjaro so feels happy to comment! It took a while to see much but my jawline is starting to look much more like a jawline again and although the tummy is still there, I'm becoming a more defined hourglass again.
