Good afternoon all, I’ve loved catching up on all your updates, there is some seriously good progress being made across this thread both on and off the scales, well done all!!
I’m now on my 5th jab (last Thursday) and 23lbs down. I’ve been very lucky in so far as I haven’t had any negative symptoms or side effects, other than having to consciously keep my fibre levels high to keep things moving along!! I feel like I have good appetite suppression, but perhaps best of all I feel like I am improving my relationship with food, I’m not obsessing over what to eat, all the noise has gone. The new headspace definitely feels lighter! During the 5 weeks I’ve been on Mounjaro we’ve had a 10 day holiday and a couple of social catch ups with friends but making smaller, balanced, protein rich choices has felt natural. I have such a long long way to go but I’m hoping that starting in such a positive way will show my brain what is possible and help switch off all those inner demon voices that make me doubt myself and remind me of all my old previous attempts. Once again, thanks all for giving me the courage to get started!! Xx

Hi there @CheeryCamper - I'm five jabs in too, and find exactly the same thing! And yes, lots of inspiration on this thread.

Amazing news @SeaStoat! 🍾

Morning everyone, hope all is well!

SW:144KG
CW:129KG
GW:90KG

Weighed in at 129kg this morning,so happy as I haven't weighed in 120 something in YEARS!

Something funny I noticed the other day, I usually microwave my food for around 7 mins because there's so much and I love it piping hot. I have to get out of the habit of cranking the microwave so high because there's so much less food! My chicken was sizzled to a crisp the other day so I'm trying to remember to microwave food for just 2 mins like a normal person 😂 shall I call it a NSV to not have to wait so long for the microwave? Haha

justteanbiscuits · 22/04/2025 09:20

What is an NSV?!!

SilenceInside · 22/04/2025 09:27

Non-Scale Victory

Cantwaituntiltheyareover · 22/04/2025 10:08

@justteanbiscuits
Like finally getting a normal hotel towel to go around you!

justteanbiscuits · 22/04/2025 10:12

Ah yes. Non Scale Victory makes sense!! I will ask again I am sure LOL

An NSV for me then. I wore a size 18 pair of jeans last week for the first time in 25 years! And Asda ones, not Seasalt (which I tell myself run on the large side!)

Don’t say that, I’m still waiting for my 26/28 Seasalt clothes to be too big for me 🥴

I started at a 26, so I know how it feels. You will get there I promise.

The first 3 stone I didn't go down a size at all! Then I have lost about a size a stone. And NO ONE commented on weight loss till 4 stone, and then suddenly everyone commented on it!

I know exactly how you feel.
I was size 24 when I started and was thrilled to get to a size 20.

I'm in size 12/14/16 now, depending on the style and cut.

My bra size has gone from 44 down to 36.

That's in 16 months. It takes time, but I promise you'll get there.

GnomeDePlume · 22/04/2025 12:16

An NSD (non scale disaster). Visiting DM on Sunday and bent down to fiddle with the brakes on her wheelchair. The top I was wearing ballooned out, caught on the handle and tore a little bit.

Disaster is a bit over dramatic I realise but it has made me realise that a lot of my tops have too much free space.

Kay2000 it will happen! I've gone from a Seasalt 26/28 to 20 and 22. At one point the 26/28 sixes were too small for me.

justteanbiscuits · 22/04/2025 12:54

I didn't even discover Seasalt till it was recommended in this thread! 😁

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 22/04/2025 15:39

Unbelievably, I'm going swimming once a week now.
I don't look as hideous in a costume as I used to lol. And the exercise is so good, not to mention beneficial for my arthritis.

WafflingDreamer · 22/04/2025 18:03

I try to buy my pens as close to payday as possible, I worry if I don't do this there will be other things to spend the money on. I have my second 10mg pen in the fridge that I will start next week. I need to buy my next pen by the end of April. I feel really comfortable on 10mg and my current supplier doesn't have any 12.5mg pens in stock.

Would you buy another 10mg or would you swap provider and move up bearing in mind I won't start the new pen until the beginning of June. I always find this such a tough decision.

Don’t say that, I’m still waiting for my 26/28 Seasalt clothes to be too big for me 🥴

It will happen, and all of a sudden! My 26/28 seasalt linen dresses and tunics suddenly looked like potato sacks, I have new ones from Vinted in a 20! However, normal size 20 is too small still, Seasalt size 20 is a perfect fit 😁

OP posts:
Iwouldratherbesinging · 22/04/2025 18:22

@WafflingDreamer I think I would sway towards buying another 10 knowing that I can take a 12.5mg dose from it if I needed to. It is a tough decision, one that I have to make this week as well, I haven't checked my suppliers stock levels yet…

A scale victory for me today, I’m in the 14 stone bracket by a gnats whisker! I weighed in at 14st 13.8 lbs this morning! I could have cried, I was 20 when I last saw 14 on the scales and that was 37 (almost 38) years ago! 💪

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 22/04/2025 18:39

Oh how lovely @Iwouldratherbesinging!
It's so exciting to see the scales move inexorably downwards.

Motnight · 22/04/2025 18:47

For those who like Seasalt clothing, they have an official eBay outlet. I've bought brand new stuff, all with tags on, for half price or less from there. Really useful when you're hoping to continue to go down clothes sizes.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 22/04/2025 19:33

Wow fab news @SeaStoat !!

@Kay2000 Oh the more you post the more I think we're the same person 😂. I'm sat here in seasalt dress (26 28) and leggings which is pretty much my work uniform Mon-Fri. I am longing to be able to go into the shop and try things on.

I love all the seasalt love and didn't know they had an outlet!

I did some measurements and even at undee 19 and a half stone I'm still measuring a true 26 for seasalt. I think it might be a while...

My dresses are all stretchy too so I'm guessing it will be a good while now before they are too big. At least they're not too tight now which is how I think I must have been wearing them 😬.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 22/04/2025 19:34

I would love to drop clothes sizes. I'm just hoping that when it eventually happens it will be worth it 😁.

I've had a bit of a stall and a bit of a mental nuts few days. And my period has started (early). Ho Hum!!

TragicMuse · 22/04/2025 19:48

The Easter chocolate got me! I held out really well but some mini eggs did for me!

it all went a bit hatstand yesterday. Mostly because of wine - I didn’t go mad but it’s been a touch few days and I haven’t been on it every day. Maybe around 50% of the time overall. Still, it was my first big challenge.
