It's so good to read everyone's experiences on this thread - I'm in awe of how well so many people are doing.

Pen 3 done for me - a bit more of a challenging one due to a couple of family birthdays and some meals out, but I've not been hungry since I took my first dose and could happily leave stuff on my plate at both meals out - which is unheard of before MJ!

Weigh in this morning at the end of pen 3:

SW: 136.6kg
GW: 62.6kg

Pen 1 (2.5mg): Down 10.1kg
Pen 2 (5mg): Down 6kg
Pen 3 (5mg): Down 5.1kg

CW: 115.4kg

Pen 4 started today - I've stayed on 5mg for this one.

Good afternoon
i have read the full thread and well done to you all some inspiring losses here
can I join i have over 10 stone to lose
currently 24 stone 3lb I was shocked and disgusted with myself
took my first dose this morning

PinkArt · 31/03/2025 12:15

Your can join @Bagpuss2022 but only if you stop being disgusted with yourself and start being nice to yourself!
Life is too short to worry about where the journey started, focus on where it's going.

TragicMuse · 31/03/2025 13:33

OH! Oh HELLO suppression! 2.5mg was just playing with me! 5mg is a whole different kettle of fish. Which I don’t want to eat. In fact I don’t really want to eat anything. At all. Ever again. Can I be a breatharian please?!

Wow. Just WOW!

I felt nauseous for most of yesterday and went to bed around 7pm. Today I’m faintly nauseous and not even remotely hungry. I ate a bit of breakfast so I could take my pills and a bit of lunch to keep blood sugars up. But I feel like it’s just become fuel. I don’t care about food in the slightest. This is entirely bizarre!

What a mind-fuck! I love it!

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 31/03/2025 17:02

Just catching up on the thread and reading about some really inspiring progress so going to throw my NSVs from this weekend into the mix.

I was away for a spa weekend and had a few very specific NSVs:

  1. while I was doing some pre-trip grooming it was so much easier to see and reach my bikini line than it has been for years
  2. I didn’t have to ask for an XXL robe
  3. when I lay on my back for a facial there was room beside me on the bed for my arms and I didn’t have to tuck them under my backside!!

that last one feels huge for me - I realise it’s quite niche 🤣

planning to go up to 10mg for my next dose but I’m going to have to skip one for a medical procedure next week

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 31/03/2025 17:03

I should say I’m still very large!! My BMI is still over 40 but I didn’t think even this level of shrinkage was possible for me so I’m chuffed to bits

TragicMuse · 31/03/2025 17:10

Wonderful NSVs for you! The robe in particular resonates!

Well done!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 31/03/2025 17:17

Hey @Bagpuss2022 welcome ☺️. I totally agree with what @PinkArt said, you are not disgusting at all, we all think these things at some point but it’s really not true, be kind to yourself x

@PotatoBreadForTheWin amazing nsvs! Your shrinkage does sound amazing 🤩

@TragicMuse yay to the new found suppression!

I’m still suffering slightly from the late night tea on Friday, felt rough all day Saturday and Sunday, had d&v first thing this morning, then felt shaky and really tired, called work then went back to bed. Feeling a bit sorry for myself but I know what not to ever do again, definitely a lesson learned there!
going to try some roast chicken and veg tonight as I have to eat something…

I have a 15mg pen in the fridge that I’m due to start this week, but I’ve just seen that 15mg is out of stock at a lot of pharmacies, including the one I use so I’ve just ordered another 12.5 mg as the last thing I want to do is start the 15 and then drop down to 12.5 if there are still shortages.
To be fair it’s probably a good thing for me as I haven’t eaten as well as I usually do this last 4 weeks.
It’s strange how the higher doses are the ones with stock issues though.

@JustAnotherSod that is amazing weightloss!

I know what you mean about feeling able to leave food on the plate. I was brought up in a 'clear your plate' household. It has taken a lot to shift that mindset but now I feel a lot more comfortable doing it.

TragicMuse · 01/04/2025 14:22

Still some light nausea. But manageable. I’m enjoying miso soup, it’s light but feels
like it’s doing me good!

I also find it strange that the higher doses are in shortage. Surely the majority of people are on the lower doses? The only thing I can think of is there is more of the active ingredient in the higher doses. 🤔

Bagpuss2022 · 01/04/2025 18:25

Thanks for the lovely messages and welcomes ,Day 2 for me lunch and dinner today is 903 calories I’m stuffed after dinner.
i didn’t sleep at all well I was up till 5am then weird vivid dreams.
maybe do the dose at night next week

My diabetic relatives are all on 15mg, as am I. I might be wrong but that's what they are given as maintenance dose I think.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 01/04/2025 20:37

I haven’t had any MJ for 12 days now as I have surgery on Thursday and was told to miss a dose before it. I’m pleasantly surprised that I don’t really feel any different, still have high suppression, still eating low calorie meals and no snacks. No food noise either. I was really worried it would’ve worn off by now so I’m glad to know that skipping a dose doesn’t really change anything.

It disrupts my sleep too, so I inject before bedtime and hopefully get some sleep before the insomnia kicks in.

I braved it and took the next dose up, 7.5mg, on Sunday. I felt very nauseous all yesterday, and have very cold extremities but I feel like I made the right decision as the food suppression is back and working. But gosh, I’m so cold! My feet and hands are icy and I’m under the electric throw again. I’m hoping to stay on the 7,5 for at least 2 pens, fingers crossed it carries on working well.

mamabeeboo · 02/04/2025 06:55

For those of you closer to the end of the 10 stone journey, which was the pen that worked for you?
Im still at Stone 3 loss and just starting 10mg and nervous I will be at 15mg with no where to go

Doggymummar · 02/04/2025 07:38

15mg is doing it for me. I had a 9 month stall and a bit of an increase in 2023 when I was on Rybelsus and I switched to MJ in September. None of the lower doses worked for me and I skipped quickly through them to get to 15, I've lost about 20 pound since Christmas about 4lb on each if the other doses. And 7 on 15mg.

I think that may well be true. I'm diabetic and was pushed up to 10mg very quickly. I'm 'allowed' to stay on 10mg for now but I think my diabetes nurse will want me to move up.

SilenceInside · 02/04/2025 09:05

@mamabeeboo I've lost 7.5 stone so far, started in July last year. I've been on 7.5mg for the last 28 weeks, so the large majority of the time. I'm not yet planning to move up to 10mg as I'm ticking along nicely with zero side effects at the moment.

Edited

I echo this! I’ve been feeling overwhelmed this past week by the sheer numbers - I’m trying to get into the ‘19 stone something’ range, focusing on 1lb at a time. However I sat thinking gosh, I need to then do 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11.… and had a complete panic about it. And I’ve been berating myself for letting me get to this weight in the first place. I’m aiming for 11st 7lb and that seems impossible from my current position. But this thread shows it is possible if we stick at it and I’m so grateful we have MJ and this thread. I’m not even 2 stone down yet (nearly!) and my mobility is better already, I can get off the sofa more easily and my clothes are more comfortable.

TragicMuse · 02/04/2025 10:32

Sorry to bust in but I AM IN THE 17s! 😳

Week one of 5mg is really doing it for me, I simply don’t feel like eating and get full so quickly. It’s extraordinary!

I don’t know what to do with myself!
